Font Size Change works on all except menu & Lists

Hi folks. I've searched the forum and gone through about 100 pages of issues with Font size and font changes but have not found an answer that fixes the issue i'm having.
Issue: I change the font size in Menu, options, screen/keyboard. This changes the font on everything in the system EXCEPT the email listing, SMS listings, BBerry Messenger Listings, Menu Lists (like the options menu, etc...
i have seen answers to similar questiions that says that these items might be theme controlled. Is there a way for me to fix without deleting my theme?
i've seen many people telling developers how to allow users to change the font but nothing that addresses this issue.
finally, i've seen some answers that say a person should upgrade to the latest software OS. i ahve the latest OS 5.0.0.654 on a sprint curve 8530...
so to sum up... when i actually see the lsit of emails in my inbox, that font stays constant. when i open a specific email that font is what i chose within Screen/Keyboard option in settings/options menu... Same with SMS, same with almost everything...
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks tons.

If it is a theme issue, the only way to fix it would be to contact the developer and see if they can develop a fix (or adjust it for you). The catch is that when I played around with themes, it seemed that most of these sorts of settings were set within the theme itself and it wasn't easy to be able to adjust it. It's not to say it wouldn't be possible - just that I couldn't figure out how during my efforts.
I'm glad you were able to figure out the source of the problem. I just wish there was something more that you could do to directly fix it yourself.

Preventing scrollbars appearing when font size changes

Hi,
I have a Panel container (relative layout with now height/width specified) containing text which has its font size determined at runtime from an external stylesheet. In my application, the user has the option to change font size (ie. load a separate external stylesheet). The problem is, whenever larger font sizes are chosen, horizontal and vertical scroll bars keep appearing within my panel container. I do not want this at all, I want the panel to resize!
I've tried almost everything, including:
Calling "validateNow()" when font size changes
Launching a resize event when font size changes
Overriding the updateDisplayList method of Panel and trying to set the height and width to the newly measured height and width.
None seem to be effective. It is as if the Panel does is not able to calculate the new size when the font size changes.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

When I send an email from my Mac using Microsoft Outlook 2011 the font size changes when sent to a Windows computer. Some of the email is ok and then some lines of text are in a larger font size. How do I maintain consistency in font sizes from Mac to
PC with Windows? I send all emails using HTML formatting. Thanks!

This is a known issue when sending emails from Outlook for Mac to Outlook for Windows. This is caused by the pixel-to-point or point-to-pixel conversion that happens between the Mac and Windows operating systems. See:

New user of Mountain Lion. I find that when I attach a URL as a link to Mail 6.0. The font and font size changes!!!!

I have a problem with either Mountain Lion, Safari or Mail 6.0.
When I try to attach a URL as a link that is taken from Safari to mail 6.0 the font and font size changes!!!!!
It changes from comic sans 24 to heltvekia 12!!!! What the heck is going on??????

I also upgraded to Lion and do have font problems in Mail. Just in some mails, including my own signature.
I just updated today with 10.7.1, but still have the font problem.

I have a dilemna regarding my SMARTFORMS. The problem goes that on the DEV box the font sizes and working ok but when the forms were transported to the Staging (STG) box, the font sizes are smaller than those from DEV box. I am using SMARTSTYLE and a custom font. I have checked the forms and smartstyle from both boxes and they are exactly the same. The custom font is also installed in SE73. Now I don't know what to do next. Please help.

You dont have to ask them to create a new one . They will configure printers to other clients . You ask them whether u have have to use lpo1 or some other device type for printing in ur client .
I also faced the same problem . In development it worked fine where as in qa it gave the same font problems .
your basis person might have created some different output device in place of lp01 .

Font size changes when pasting ito new layer

Since I updated Phothoshop to CC a strange error occures. When I copy text from one layer and paste it into a new layer the font size changes. I have tried resetting the texttool but this has no effect. Does anybody know what the solution to this problem can be?

Try duplicating the layer with Ctlr + J...

Before you do that I must warn you that also with PC is the same.
It's not the hardware nor the software that makes the difference, because e-mail must obey to certain rules that is RFC.

In interactive report how to fix the column width , because if one column has big string it's going to the right side. My requirement is after fixed column width it has to come in the second line.

im a bit confused with the post so hopefully this will help you, if not then let me know.
I think the problem is that in your renderer your saying
setBackground(header.getBackground());which is setting the backgound of the renderer rather than the selected item, please see an example below, I created a very simple program where it adds JLabels to a list and the renderer changes the colour of the selected item, please note the isSelected boolean.
Object "value" is the currentObject its rendering, obviously you may need to test if its a JLabel before casting it but for this example I kept it simple.

Font size changes in one book changes all books-

I'm really enjoying the new iBooks service on my iPad. The only issue I have, more of an irritation than a major problem and I'm not sure if I'm doing it wrong or if it is an oversight with the way the iBooks app works, is that changing font size in one book changes the font size in others…
Currently I'm reading the Steve Jobs biography, mainly during the day, and also the Game of Thrones series, mostly at night before bed. The problem is, these two books have wildly different default font sizes - the Steve Jobs book having much larger text. If I downsize the text in Steve Jobs, it downsizes it in the other book too.
This wouldnt be such a problem except that resizing text reflows the whole book and I lose my page…
Is this an oversight with the app or am I missing some setting I should change? Or is this related to syncing between devices?

I'm having a similar issue with the Jobs book. I'm not switching between books, the autobiography is just resetting the font itself. Every night I scale it down, then the next night the font is huge again.

This is my first Mac, and I find that all of the writing - from web pages to safari tabs to the top bar - is way too small for my eyes. In Windows, you can actually change the font size, but I can't seem to find that on the Mac, just "zooms" which make the entire display fuzzy. Changing the display from the highest resolution has similar results.

Yes, but you will need to change it in individual applications. For example, for Safari, go to Preferences>Advanced and check the Universal Access box. That will allow you to set the font size in Safari by selecting "Never use font sizes smaller than_". You can select a font size up to 24 pt if you like.
For Mail, go to Preferences>Fonts and Colors and you can do the same. You might also want to customize the tool bar and put in the "smaller/bigger" icon, which will let you magnify any incoming messages that are in tiny fonts. You will find "Customize Toolbar" under "View" in the menu bar.
There are a couple of things you can't change this way. One is the menu bar itself--I know of no way to make it bigger. The other is the finder itself. The far left column with all the icons seems to be set. The text in the right columns can be enlarged by going to "View" in the menu bar and then to "View Options".
These are just some examples so you can see how it works. I have the 17" high resolution display, which makes everything very tiny. If you need help with any other applications, please feel free to post back.
