Font size difference in preview/export vs. design view

In a very simple  project (Xcelsius Engage 2008) I've begun, I have noticed that upon previewing the project in Xcelsius or exporting to HTML, the font size is not the same as what I see when I am specifying/seeing in design mode.  Incidentally, I am using embedded fonts in Document Properties, and the font in question is Trebuchet MS (which does exist on my workstation).
Edited to add: Never mind, it appears that you sometimes have to re-do the font settings in Document Properties again.  I might be mis-interpretting the conditions that lead up to what I saw, but if my assumption is correct I didn't realize this step needed to be repeated when new objects are added.

  • Font Size Difference between Exe and Labview IDE

    I'm stumped on the following issue and surprizinglycan't find any references that are similar on this forum.
    I've developed an application which, when built to an Exe, has different font sizes than when executed on the same computer in the Labview Integrated Development Environment.  In each instance the screen resolution is the same.  I've used the "Application Font".  I'm having trouble figuring why the font would render differently in each case.  Of possible signifigance is that I'm running the Exe by simply browsing to the folder where the build procedure drops it instead of building an installation.
    I've attached one of the most glaring examples that shows the rendering in each case.
    I'm hoping that someone can point me in the right direction to resolve this issue.

    Hi Doctor,
    two notes:
    for the font size differences: I would try to change the font settings
    to a more 'specific' font like Arial 14pt. The application font is set
    somewhere in an ini-file and the setting may change with the
    environment (IDE vs. exe-rt).
    for your attachment: please convert pictures to jpg or png. This will
    reduce size by orders of magnitude :-) And please crop them, unless you
    have a very (VERY) beautiful desktop background picture!

  • Pages are not scaled correctly, if you change the font size in browser (Fireworks export in CSS)

    I created some simple pages for my website with fireworks. I only used images and text and exported the pages in CSS and images. The Problem is that if you change the font size in the browser text and images or text and text often overlap each other. So what can I do that the page is scaled correctly?

    Yep, the "Font Size" option under Setup / Display is certainly not what it should be.
    Perhaps Menu or Fixed Font size would be more accurate.
    This problem extends to much of the device; the Browser, e-mails and the lock screen.  Lock screen certainly looks like it was thrown together.

  • Font size difference between Dreamweaver, view in Safari and on friend's PC

    In Dreamweaver CS3, I have a table with two cells containing type. In order to get the type to not appear too large, I need to size the type down to 6pt size on screen in Dreamweaver, then it appears like about 10pt normal size text in my Safari browser on a Mac and then it appears too small, but readable and larger than what I am seeing in Dreamweaver on a friend's PC through AOL. This mystifies me as it is only happening on this one page. When I leave the paragraph text at normal size in this table cell it becomes way too large when viewed in the Safari browser, so what I am doing is sizing it down to 40% (miniscule) in dreamweaver so it will come up in the browser as normal paragraph text size.
    Never had this happen before. Any Ideas?
    TIA,
    Ken

    I would strip this site back to basics by removing all font sizes in your CSS.
    Then avoid %.
    Re-build font sizes just using px.
    Don't mix units (ems, % etc) until you have a consistent baseline and reason for doing so..
    Pt is solid and reliable on paper. Px is solid and reliable on screen.

  • How Do I Change the Font Size in Design View?

    The font size when coding in Dreamweaver's "Design View" is
    too small. How do I change the size in "Design View" to make it

    but it has no way to change the font size in Design View.

    Hi,
    By "a meeting notice", do you mean the Outlook meeting reminder? It's not possible to change the font in Calendar reminders. It's a system font.

  • Export to PDF and font size

    Hi,
    When I export the report to PDF, the font size is getting reduced. It is because of the legal size I have set in the report. If I set the print size to letter the font size are retained after export to pdf. I am using CR for visual studio 2005. Please help.
    Thanks,
    Priya

    Hi Priya,
    Try with this:
    Go to the following registry sub key:
    HKEY_USERS\[your security profile]\Software\Crystal Decisions\10.2\Crystal Reports\Export\Pdf
    Right-click the sub key and click New > DWORD Value. Name the DWORD value "ForceLargerFonts" and set it to the value of 1.
    Note :Backup the registry before making any changes.

  • HELP WITH FONT SIZE

    Hello,
    In Dreamweaver, how do I change the dropdown menu of font size to ENUMERATED? I went into the CODE FORMAT and could not do it there. I would rather work with the numbers for font size than the small, medium, large, etc. Any help appreciated.
    [email protected]

    You'll get better cross browser results with ems or pixels.
    CSS
    html {font-size: 100%}
    body {font-size: 1em}
    h1 {font-size: 2.5em;}     /* 40px/16=2.5em */
    h2 {font-size: 1.875em;} /* 30px/16=1.875em */
    p {font-size: 0.875em;}  /* 14px/16=0.875em */
    or
    h1 {font-size:40px;}
    h2 {font-size:30px;}
    p {font-size:14px;}

  • Site no longer previewing in design view

    Hello,
    The site I need help with is a classic asp site. I am using Dreamweaver CS5.5 and am working in Windows 7 Professional.
    For over a year I have been opening files directly from two separate servers (one is testing, the other is live) and the files previewed fine in design view. One day design view stopped working for asp files on both servers and I do not know what caused this. HTML files still preview fine.
    On the live server, design view is not recognizing the included header, any of the css, or the images when I open .asp files. When I paste the include into the main document I can get the css to work by removing the initial '/' character from the path leading me to believe this is a pathing issue. I do not want to change my pathing in the files as the site is rendering properly in the browser and there is not a inital '/' character in the includes original path to remove anyway.
    When I open a .asp file from the test sever, the included file is showing in design view but again I have to change the pathing to the css in order for it to render properly in design view. It is rendering properly in the browser.
    The loss of design view is making my styleing very challenging. I think I need to tell dreamweaver where the root of the testing and live server are. I'm not sure is this is the solution and if it is I am not sure how to implement it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
    Paul

    Thanks Nancy...   Here is what I found. Maybe you (or someone could shed some light on this for me).
    Here is what is placed in all of my documents:
    <!--#include virtual="/includes/topNav/topNav_housing.asp"----------->
    The home page that displayed properly in Dreamweaver looked like this:
    <!--#include virtual="/includes/topNav/topNav_home.asp"-->
    Removing all but two of the dashes as the end of the code snippet fixed the problem and the Header started to disply in Design view.   I am not a programmer, and my HTML/CSS knowledge is self taught, but this code has been in place from a previous designer for years.  Does it make a difference?  What could have changed?   I have thousands of these pieces in my site, I guess I need to fix them all.....

  • Lightroom website font size

    I am building a website using Lightroom 1.2. I don't seem to be able to change the font size. The default settings for the 'view' and 'contact' buttons, the photo titles and the 'about these photos' section is very small. Does anyone know how to make it larger?

    It depends how deep you want to get into editing stuff.
    Once you've exported the gallery into a directory called, say, GALLERY, go to GALLERY/resources/styles and edit the file style.xml.
    Find the line containing "galleryInfoText" and change the size entry from 12 to whatever you fancy. That does the "About these photos" entry.
    Find the line containing "contactInfoText" and do the same. I can't work out how to change the depth of the menu bar though...
    That will do the text size changes.
    I've no idea how to change the View button size, unfortunately.

  • How do I increase the font size in my email and maintain resolution.

    Hi folks. Mr Newbie is seeking some help, I hope it is relatively straight forward, thanks
    How do I increase the font size in my standard email and document views without losing resolution.  Right now my font size in email, headers and text is less than that on my iPhone, it rather defeats the point of having a 27" screen if most of it is blank and I have to sit with my nose to the screen to read email.  Thanks for your help, once you have stopped laughing.  C

    Two things you can do to easily aid with readability in Mail are as follows:
    1) Increase the size of folders in the sidebar:
    a) select "system preferences" from the Apple menu
    b) select "general settings"
    c) select small, medium or large under "sidebar icon size"
    2) Increase the text in the main body of the email (both sent and received):
    a) select "preferences" from the Mail menu
    b) select "fonts and colors"
    c) adjust font size for "message list font" and "message font".  I have noticed this works properly while in classic mode, but in regular mode the message list font doesn't appear to change size.
    Select classic mode by accessing Mail preferences and selecting the "viewing" tab.
    Another shortcut is to right click on the toolbar, then select "customize toolbar", and then drag the "smaller / bigger" buttons onto the toolbar.  Now you can decrease and increase font size as desired on the fly.

    Hi Mike,
    I checked system preferences and my resolution was

    yahoo and google but I got the same results. Next I

    Hmm... Yahoo and Google are not browsers... unless you mean you went to those pages and they had large text as well. Try this...
