Font size in outgoing bbms and texts

How can I make the font on my outgoing bbms and texts bigger? Since updating the software I'm having difficulty reading what I'm typing. I have my font set on 14 but this only works on incoming messages. I had no problems with this prior to 2 updates ago. This feature seems to have disappeared along with the letter style preference. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Sadly there is not much you do to make it any better.

  • How do I increase the font size in my email and maintain resolution.

Hi folks. Mr Newbie is seeking some help, I hope it is relatively straight forward, thanks
How do I increase the font size in my standard email and document views without losing resolution.  Right now my font size in email, headers and text is less than that on my iPhone, it rather defeats the point of having a 27" screen if most of it is blank and I have to sit with my nose to the screen to read email.  Thanks for your help, once you have stopped laughing.  C

Two things you can do to easily aid with readability in Mail are as follows:
    1) Increase the size of folders in the sidebar:
    a) select "system preferences" from the Apple menu
    b) select "general settings"
    c) select small, medium or large under "sidebar icon size"
    2) Increase the text in the main body of the email (both sent and received):
    a) select "preferences" from the Mail menu
    b) select "fonts and colors"
    c) adjust font size for "message list font" and "message font".  I have noticed this works properly while in classic mode, but in regular mode the message list font doesn't appear to change size.
Select classic mode by accessing Mail preferences and selecting the "viewing" tab.
Another shortcut is to right click on the toolbar, then select "customize toolbar", and then drag the "smaller / bigger" buttons onto the toolbar.  Now you can decrease and increase font size as desired on the fly.

is there really no fix for this?
It would depend on your definition of "Fix"
Your iPod touch running OS 4.2 has a ZOOM feature which will enable you to see the screen more clearly.
To turn Zoom on or off got to:
Settings > General > Accessibility > Zoom and tap the Zoom On/Off switch.
    _To Zoom in or out_:
Double-tap the screen with three fingers. By default, the screen is magnified 200 percent. If you manually change the magnification (by using the tap-and-drag gesture, described below), iPod touch automatically returns to that magnification when you zoom in by double-tapping with three fingers.
Increase magnification: With three fingers, tap and drag toward the top of the screen (to increase magnification) or toward the bottom of the screen (to decrease magnification). The tap-and-drag gesture is similar to a double-tap, except you don’t lift your fingers on the second tap—instead, drag your fingers on the screen. Once you start dragging, you can drag with a single finger.
    _Move around the screen_:
When zoomed in, drag or flick the screen with three fingers. Once you start dragging, you can drag with a single finger so that you can see more of the screen. Hold a single finger near the edge of the display to pan to that side of the screen image. Move your finger closer to the edge to pan more quickly. When you open a new screen, Zoom always goes to the top-middle of the screen.
    _Large Text_:
Large Text lets you make the text larger in alerts, and in Calendar, Contacts, Mail, Messages, and Notes. You can choose 20-point, 24-point, 32-point, 40-point, 48-point, or 56-point text.
Set the text size: In Settings, choose General > Accessibility, tap Large Text, then tap the text size you want.
I hope this has helped a little - other than this option I think it pretty much is what it is.
BTW - This information can be found on page 208 of the iPod Touch iOS 4.2 Users Guide.
    Best wishes..
    Ricky

  • How can you change the font size in the application and system headers?

How can you change the font size in the application and system headers?  I searched the system and finder prefs to no avail.  Changing the screen density is not a good option.
    Thanks

I downloaded Tinkertool.  Found the font section and increased the size of most selections.  The only thing that changed that I can see is the window label.  The apple line, bookmarks line, the tool bar in safari are all the same---font size of about 4.  Found the finder "show view options" but that didn't seem to change anything either.  I'll keep working.  Restarted all apps after changes as well.

    David.

Paragraph breaks are good for readability. ;-)
Have you noticed any difference between your MacBook and others at the Apple store? Wondering whether this is a configurable setting at the system level, i.e., DPI.
You can default Firefox to a larger zoom level to avoid having to zoom every page. You'll still be able to adjust the size for individual sites as needed. It sounds as though you are aware of these add-ons:
    * Default FullZoom Level: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/default-fullzoom-level/
    * NoSquint: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/nosquint/
There are some discussions about changing coming in Firefox 22 (I think) to address higher density displays like the Retina display. So perhaps there will be a built-in setting to address this in the future.

  • BIP11g chart formatting font size at Title Llabel and Axis

We have recently migrated from 10g to 11g,
and we noticed that after migration the graphs have many differences.
specially with the font size at Title , label and axis.
Even though we have specified font size , it always seems to take its own font size.
Some times the font are very very small.
We also tried autoLayout="AL_NEVER" but it also dont work,
not only that the with autoLayout="AL_NEVER, the graph moves very close to the title.
How can we force the font size right for Title , label and axis.
    Thanks,

  • Changing font size in toolbar menu and apps

How can I increase the font size in my toolbar and in things like iPhoto? It's so small on my big screen that it hurts my eyes to read it.

I am not sure if you can change that, but you could try adjusting the monitor resolution to make toolbars appear bigger.
To do this, go to System Preferences > Displays. Under resolution, select one smaller than your current one. The current one will be selected in the list.

  • Onscreen font size for "spell check" and "font"

How do I increase the onscreen font size for "spell check" and "font"? I just tried to spell check a document and the font size was so small I can't see what it says. Also, when you click on 'font' to change it, I wish the list of fonts was larger so I could see it clearer. I have pretty good vision so it's not that, it's just the size of the font....it must be at least 6! Thanks for your help.

Hi, Diane. I don't know what sort of display you're using, but it sounds like you have a flat LCD display. At any resolution lower than its maximum, a flat-screen LCD display is always blurry, and the lower the resolution, the blurrier it is. This is because unlike a CRT display, an LCD has a fixed number of physical pixels in it that can't be changed. If you instruct it to "pretend" it has a smaller number of larger pixels by setting it for a lower resolution, each of the "pretend" pixels has to be made up of several real pixels instead of just one, and no pixel can be (for example) half white and half blue: a pixel is an indivisible unit that is always all one color. So the only way the hardware can use several pixels to represent one larger one is to gradate the colors of those pixels as best it can to approximate the intended image, and that inevitably spreads the gradation out — which is exactly what blurring is. This is just an inbuilt property of LCD displays, not a defect that needs to be (or can be) fixed. The solution is to buy a display that works well for you at its highest resolution — which will probably mean a lower-resolution display than you have now.

There is no way at this stage to change the font size in Menus or on toolbars.
If the text is too small to see clearly the options under System Preferences > Universal access > Seeing > Zoom Options could help.

Click on the text in the menu so that you see the bounding box around it. Look to the right of the Movie Menu customization workspace, Adjustments Palette, Text and edit your text font style and size.
In this screenshot, "Glass Flowers" text in the main menu is selected and its Adjustments Palette Text editing opportunities are shown. To do comparable editing in the scene menu, click on the scene menu in the bin to bring its image up to the screen.

  • Font size problem in pages and keynote for iPad

I've been using pages and keynote for just under over a week and when I go to make a table and set the font size in either of them, it makes the text very large even though it is on the very small setting, even if I try to cut and paste in text that was originally small once in the table it become very big, and when I try copying tables between the two apps it makes it even worse to the point that a 5x5 table takes up 5 pages or goes off the edge of the slide.
    Please help.

i have a first generation ipad but i expect it works the same way. Have you selected tiny on the table font options? also, select Times New Roman. It is a bit smaller. The tiny setting should be the same as size 12 Times New Roman font. When you select the table (tap on it) there should be a small blue dot in the bottom right corner. that is used to edit the table. It is a bit annoying, but I have not found a way to copy things into the t able in the right format, you have to change it manually every time. Hope this helps!

  • How to keep the resized, bigger, font size while browsing back and forth in one window?

I´m a newbie with Firefox. I like to use a bigger font size as my eyesight is not as good as before. There is one problem with Firefox: the font size goes back to smaller every time I return to the previous page. Also when the font is bigger I have to draw the page to the left and to the right to be able to read the text. I did not have this kind of a small nuisance with Opera. Help needed.
