Font Size in Program

I just bought and installed Pro 5.5, and I can't read it. The font size is incredibly tiny. The font size is Ok on computer #1 running XP and NM 4.9. The font size was OK on laptop running Vista and NM 4.9. The font size was OK on computer #2 running Windows 7 and 4.9. Font size was still OK on computer #2 running Windows7 and free download of NM. (Shared folders from Computer #1 began disappearing intermittently when viewed from Computer #2, so I downloaded from web with my 4.9 key--and it was the free trial) With my new install, I have tried ctrl-scroll to increase the font size, but nothing changes. I looked through the menus with a 4x magnifying glass and my nose stuck to the screen, but could find nothing to change font size. 4.9 on computer 1 indicates themes are available, but only in the pro version. Pro version on #2 does not offer themes. I had hoped themes would include a bigger print version. (Thank goodness installing/activating pro on #1 from #2 did not happen, or I could not read anything--although I may be SOL next time I reboot #1,) If support for NM actually existed, I am sure they would tell me to change my screen resolution, but that would screw up everything else I own. That is not an option. Windows7 has much of the functionality I need built in--but only if all my computers were on Windows7--not feasible. Maybe somebody out there who is younger than 69 with better eyesight can find an option to help me out so I can read the _ software. Networking hardware is not relevant to this problem--and I sure can't read the properties through NM 5.5!

I think you're right. I also face the same problem. I want my reciepient to view my email as time new roman 12, but this format is too small on mail for myself to type and see. Is there any way to fix this. Thanks in advance.
You set the font size in Mail preferences to suit your own needs.  That does not affect what the recipient sees.  To do that you have to select your text in the New Message pane and reset the font to TNR 12, if that is what you want to go out.

  • How to Change Font Size of Program Itself?

My Adobe Reader has some interesting font sizes going on. How do I change these to make the menu and sidebars more readable?
Here is a picture of what is happening:
    http://i.imgur.com/AmtFd5S.jpg
You can notice that the Bookmarks sidebar has a font size that is huge. On the other hand, the Export PDF sidebar has a font that is very small.
I would like to standardize the font to be the same size as the top bar (the bar with the File, Edit, View, etc.)
    How do I do this?

Halfway!! I changed the scale from 'auto-detect' to '100%'
    Here is the current version:
    http://i.imgur.com/87KieBs.jpg
Now the Bookmarks sidebar looks perfect. However, the font for the Export PDF sidebar is still very small.
    Secondary Consequence Here: http://i.imgur.com/bAf2py9.jpg
The text on the the top bar (the file button, the edit button, etc.) is fine. But the pull down menu and the and menus are now small. This seems to indicate that if I reduce the size of the sidebars, I unintentionally reduce the size of menus.
    Any more tips?

  • How to change font size in check printing program in AP Invoice

I would like to know how to change font size in check printing program in Oracle Payables Module for Invoice printing. We are using Oracle standard
    report to print check.
Concurrent program short name : APXPBFEL

I modified prt file for code 199 like below
    code "199" esc "(8U" esc "(s0p12.00h10.00v0s0b3T" esc "&k11.75H"
Font size changed for last page only which prints checks, for Void pages its printed with default font. For Page 1 printed with default font and page 2 has reduced font. This change is not intiallized for all pages.

  • How can I change the font size on the Mail program?

How can I change the font size on the Mail program?  The text is quite small right now.

Go to fonts and colors in Mail preferences and there you can change the font or size for the different parts of Mail.

  • How do I adjust the size of program fonts to accommodate low vision users?

Is it possible to adjust the size of program text to accommodate low vision users, like an enlarge text button or CTRL + zoom text function like in my browser?
I know I am not the first person to approach this issue.  Since PSE 5 the text sizes have been getting smaller each version and even harder to read, and now that screens are much larger, it makes the menu text even smaller. I predict that by v. 20, users will have to just memorize where to put their cursor to click on a menu item.
I have already adjusted my system text sizes to 175% but it does no good for PSE, if I use the zoom entire screen, I can only view 1/4 of the workspace at a time. There really should be an easy way to personalize your workspace. I have to reduce my screen resolution to 800x600 and change back to 1920x1080 to view the item in it's intended location each time I edit or create images and cannot work on the document that I am creating or editing a graphic at the same time.  What a huge inconvenience.
I have resorted to keeping my binoculars next to my computer for just this reason.  Picture it... binoculars to select anything on a menu.  In a way I feel like a prisoner.  Who are the quality control people, anyone that suffers with low vision? The last major problem I had to live with, PSE 10's gray on black! Find the scroll button when your eyes are tired! LOL.
There are major reasons why I stick to PSE too, so changing programs is not a viable option for me.

I am assuming that you are on Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit.
Not sure if there is another way, but the way that works for me
    a. right click the computer taskbar, and click on Cascade Windows
    b. in the Premiere Elements Expert workspace, go the the bottom right edge of the workspace view, place the mouse cursor at that point until its tip has a diagonal icon, and then drag upward right to left diagonally to give some view of the desktop where I have the file for the drag and drop into Premiere Elements....then drag and drop the supported file into the Timeline or Project Assets or a drag and drop location.
Please let us know if that worked for you.
    Thank you.

  • Need Help Changing Font Size on Mail Program

    OS X 10.8.3
My mail list under "sort by date" column has a small font which I would like to make bigger.
I have gone to Mail>Preferences> Fonts & Colors but none of those cseem to change the font in the second mail column under (Sort by date).

There generally is no way to change the font, or font size. TinkerTool is one of a few utilities that will allow the change of some items, but for the most part, the OS ignores any settings you use in TinkerTool.
The default font for the system is Lucida Grande. You absolutely cannot change it. If you delete the font from the System folder, the OS will immediately replace it with a copy from a deeply hidden location. If you delete the font from both locations, the Mac will instantly become completely unusable, requiring a reinstall of the OS from your OS X installation disks. Unless you have another drive with OS X on it so you can copy Lucida Grande back to the drive you removed it from.
About the only easy way to increase the font size overall is to select a lower resolution in the Displays section of the System Preferences.

  • Program font size

My Mother-in-law somehow managed to change the font size in the applications. Like Mail messages and excel documents, etc. I am pretty sure there is no system-wide font size so can anyone think of what she could have done and conversely what I can do to fix it? I know she didn't go in to each application preferences and change the font manually, she wouldn't know how to do that.

She may have turned on magnification in Universal Access (System Preferences - Universal Access) Click the follow to change magnification: *Control , Option, Up Arrow or Down Arrow.*

  • New to apple, question about font sizes on show bookmarks pages

Former windows user, trying to get used to this beautiful new imac! When I am on the safari page, in the show all bookmarks page, the font is so small, and buttons to increase the size are disabled on the page! I know there must be a way to make the print bigger but how?
Thanks to all.. I think I'm learning more from reading these forums than with all the help pages.

Very sound advice (as always) Barry.
I (very briefly) considered offering the Terminal/Defaults route, but thought that Safari Enhancer was the lesser of two evils. Safari Enh does not need to be kept running after changes (like the bookmark font size) are made. & I believe most of it's functions within Safari are made by simply altering the plist file - so getting back a default configuration is very simple.... just reset safari.
keveliz : Barry's is good advice. I wouldn't put safari enhancer in the " ...here be dragons" or 'addicted to haxies' class myself... because it's just a program that you run & close afterwards - it doesn't carry on, (possibly) brewing trouble in the background.
I haven't been using Apples even a year now - but pc's & 6502 / 6800 & onwards micros since err, 1980..... & fwiw I personally think safari-enh is much safer than most 3rd party fixers ( which isn't saying much! - so Yep, I'd recommend it based on my usage )- there's good support, a useful discussions forum; although previous versions ( presumably sorted now?) could be annoying due to setting non-std options that you hadn't specifically checked - a problem if you're just starting & you wouldn't know what was a default setting & what wasn't.
None of which is intended to disagree with Barry's note of caution - be careful out there.

  • How to change the default font size in X11?

I was a PC/linux user and have switched to use Mac lately (MBP Snow leopard 10.6.8).
Everything's been running perfectly on Mac so far and I really like it, until I have to run some programs on XQuartz/X11 (XQuart 2.7.0).
The default font size in the Xterm is too small. And I hate it that I have to change it everytime i open a new terminal (via vt fonts menu, ctrl+right-mouse click).
Is there a way to change the default font size "permanently" in XQuartz/X11 ??
This may be a stupid question to ask in the developer forum but i cant really solve it.
There's only config. file ~/.Xdefaults they have mentioned so far on Google but i really cant find it regarding to the directorty.
Thank you very much in advance.

You would be surprised to find out that is not like this, to get your account blocked you really need to do a lot of damage and posts are not removed unless they are illegal, and *always* it needs more than a person to delete something. That's a site managed by the community, not by some people put in place by a company.
It is always acceptable to link to external resources as long these resources do provide additional usefull information. Clearly the thread on that side contained much more information than the one here. I observed people linking from there to this forum, but it's not so common, and that's not due to the policy, just because here is more chat and less usefull information.... you will not see endless threads of replies on with "yes, I have the same problem" there.
Shortly, this is "discussions" and is quite different in approach than the SE model, where everythign is aimed towards getting the be answers UP and removing all the nonsense.
I wish that Apple would invest more in discussion, and going towards making this more practical.

  • How to change font size on Write screen only

The Thunderbird Write (compose) screen allows font choices for HTML e-mails, but not font sizes in traditional 'points.' There is an up/down button set on the screen, and a setup option for small/medium/large, etc.
By sending myself mail, and reading it in another popular mail client, I see that "medium" is 12-point type, which is what I want. But when I select medium as my default, the text on the Write screen is too small, nowhere near 12 points by eyeball. If I make the font bigger on the Write screen so that I can read it, then it is received as 14pt or 18pt.
There must be a way to choose what you see on the Write screen, independently of what is actually coded into HTML and sent. Sure enough, I can do Ctrl/Shift/+, and that makes the text on the screen larger (leaving images untouched, thanks!) , but it's back to tiny the next time I open the program. Is there a way to make this text magnification 'stick'?

Thanks so much; everything worked as you said. And the stationary suggestions seems like the right thing to do, too.

  • How can I adjust the font size of my printouts?

I have an HP Officejet 4500 all-in-one printer and a new HP pavilion Slimline computer.  Since I changed to this computer, my printouts have very small font size making them hard to read.  How can I adjust the font size of the printout?  Is it a computer or printer function? I appreciate the help.

I, too, am frustrated.  This seems like something that would easily be handled within the application software.  However, none of the fixes I've been offered have been very helpful.  My cousin sugested using Control C and Control V to move the text to WORD.  Once in WORD, you can manipulate the text on a WORD page...sometimes.  I've had good and bad luck with this method.  It still requires working in two different programs to get it legible.  Does anyone else have a 4500  All-in -one with this problem, or is it only me?  Thanks,  [Edited for Personal Information]

  • Is there a way to change the font size in the Creative Cloud user interfaces?

It would appear that there is no way to change the unbelievably small font size in the panels, menus, etc for InDesign and Illustrator. If I'm mistaken, someone... please enlighten me.
I'm a professional designer with 20/20 vision, working on an iMac 27... I shouldn't have to strain my eyes all day using Adobe programs I pay $50/mo to use. Shame on Adobe.
My system set up is perfect for every other use and program - so don't bother recommending changing my screen resolution as a work around for Adobe's poor design.
Are there any Adobe ambassadors out there who know when this will become an option? I'm guessing I'll see the standard answers that "it's on the list" or that they're famously "working on it". This should have been addressed long ago.

  • Is there any way to turn off the auto formatting in Pages?  I just want to type a letter and add pictures and titles, and Pages keeps changing font sizes and doesn't let me "Do it my way".  I HATE this!

Is there any way to turn off the auto formatting in Pages?  I'm using a blank document, so I figured I could write my letter and add pictures any way I wanted to.  But NO!  Pages keeps changing the font size!  I typed a large heading as a title, and when I try to change to a smaller font for the body of the letter, it changes the size back to the larger size!  I am getting SO FRUSTRATED!  I've spent over an hour trying to get the stupid program to let me just type my letter!  Can anyone help?

The only one left is the "unsubmitted text" dialogue, which would not be a problem if I were not a Facebook user; after updating the "Richard is..." field (which does not require a manual submit to actually send) I get the above message. This is obviously Safari just not realising that the info has been sent and is therefore (I imagine) one for Apple themselves to answer!!
You're welcome Rich. Glad to help.
Not being a Facebook User, I'm not sure how to respond to the error situation. However, this would be something to report to Apple as a bug via the Safari Menu. First, open to the page in question, then select "Report Bugs to Apple".
