Font size is computed as a function of the height of the annotation rectangle.

From Pdf reference:
The default appearance string (DA) contains any graphics state or text state oper-
ators needed to establish the graphics state parameters, such as text size and color,
for displaying the fields variable text. Only operators that are allowed within text
objects may occur in this string (see Figure 4.1 on page 197). At a minimum, the
string must include a Tf (text font) operator along with its two operands, font and
size. The specified font value must match a resource name in the Font entry of the
default resource dictionary (referenced from the DR entry of the interactive form
dictionary; see Table 8.67). A zero value for size means that the font is to be auto-
sized: its size is computed as a function of the height of the annotation rectangle.
Could u please to provide the mentioned function description

I don't think any of the users here could provide that.

    There solutions in the "More like this" list on the right.
    If this behaviour is system wide you have to choose another reslotution in SystemPreferences/Displays.

  • How may I change the height of the menu bar to allow my large icons/buttons to maintain their size?

    I recently updated from FF28 to FF31. Totally different UI, I get that. I waited to update until I could psych myself to try something different. I have the Default Australis Theme and Noia Fox Theme, which is designed with larger icons/buttons for those with visual needs. On my screen at the moment I have the title bar, menu bar, tab bar, and url/addon bar with the "hamburger" menu to the right. I placed icons in the menu bar, kept the home icon on the addon bar, and then there are the default icons in the menu popup. When I enable the Noia Fox Theme, the icons look great on the url/addon bar, even in the menu popup; clear, large, easy to see. However, the icons in the menu bar (not the menu popup) are less than half their original/intended size. So I switch to default Australis Theme, restart, and same issue, though not quite as dramatic since Default theme is smaller to begin with.
    My thinking then is that there is a setting within the menu bar which resizes the icons/buttons to a small default size. Can this setting be changed to allow the icons to retain their original size (or close to it) and if so, how? I like the location of the menu bar on my screen, below the title bar, above the tab bar. Works nicely with the new The Fox Only Better addon which attaches to the tab bar and hides the url bar, a "new" feature for me and I'm liking it. I know I can get CTR with an additional bar, and I did try that. The issue then is that the additional bar appears below the tab bar and is not movable to above the tab bar and below the title bar.
    At the moment, I have just the two themes, security addons added and The Fox Only Better. I've not added other appearance addons yet so as to keep potential conflicts/issues to a minimum. I've not tinkered with internal FF default settings other than to say don't track me (I think that's all I did). So to the best of my limited understanding, I've kept changes and customizations to a minimum. And yes, per your educated guess feature for questions posted, I am running Win 8.1 and FF 31.
    I think I've offered enough detail so others can try to duplicate the issue. If not, let me know and I'll try to respond as soon as I can. Thanks so much for any help offered.

    You can double the height of the menu bar area using a custom style rule. I couldn't immediately find an icon that would take advantage of the space so I'm not sure this will solve the problem, but you could try it.
    The custom style rule could be as simple as:
    @namespace url(http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul);
    /* double height (from 2x to 4x the 13px base font size) */
    #toolbar-menubar{
    height:4em !important;
    (Result shown in the screen shot, using the preview feature of the Stylish extension.)
    You can apply custom style rules to Firefox's UI using either of these methods:
    (1) Create or edit a userChrome.css file. This article has more information: http://kb.mozillazine.org/UserChrome.css
    (2) Use the Stylish extension: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/stylish/
    Since I don't have this theme to test myself, if this doesn't work well, you might contact the theme author using the theme's support thread, which is on an independent forum: http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=48&t=2230157

  • Why does Dynamic Type change to a fixed font size when copied from one Note to another Note in the Apple Notes App?

    If I copy and paste text from one note to another, it pastes in at the current Dynamic Type size but is no longer adjustable. I have tons of notes with various fixed size text. Is there a way to reset all the text in the Apple Notes App to Dynamic Type so they can be adjusted using the font size slider in settings?

    When you use IMAP, as opposed to "On my Mac," Notes will create a folder called "Notes" on the mail server.  It will then store notes in there.  If you create subfolders in Notes (which you can do), those will be stored as subfolders of Notes on the server.
    So in the case of Gmail, you should be able to log onto your Gmail web account and the notes should probably show up in "All my Mail" with a label of Notes (this is because Gmail's IMAP implementation is VERY nonstandard and it doesn't actually support folders; it uses labels instead).  If you view the Notes label in Gmail's web interface you should see all your notes.
    Because of Gmail's IMAP implementation you should be very careful not to remove the "Notes" label from any of your notes if you're in the web interface, or they will disappear from the Notes app on OS X itself.

  • Font size issue with the email functionality of infopath form

    Hi,
    We have a SharePoint list created and customised the form to send the form via email using email functionality in infopath form.
    We have made the font size of the form fields( rich text box) to 11. But it is showing as 10 in email. Also for a text box we set the font size to 14. But it is 13.5 in the email.
    Could anyone please let me know how to fix this issue?

    Yes, this is normal. Forms Services has to convert the form to an aspx page, and things get lost in translation when this gets submitted via email.  My workaround has always been to set static widths to columns/controls, but you said that didn't work
    for you?  It's always worked for me.

    some customers have approached us that the font size is too small.
    Is it possible to change the font or the font size of the listed Files ?
    And is it possible too use it on the client not on the AS ?
    Does anyone have an idea.

    Thx

    I found some proprrties files in the directory. C:\Programme\Java\jre6\lib Can I make same helpful changes there ? >
    As I mentioned, these settings are inherited from the OS. I don't believe there is a setting in Java you can change that will affect this.
    where I could make these settings on the client OS ?For Windows, you can change the display settings through the "Display" Control Panel applet or right-click the desktop and select display. You can change the Font Size from the Appearance tab and the screen resolution in the Settings tab.
    Hope this helps,

  • Print Module - Set Explicit Font Sizes

    In the Print Module Identity Plate can Lightroom set font size explicitly instead of using only a % scale factor?
    The scale factor is a great idea but it would be a lot more convenient at times to set the font size explicitly to 10 or 12 or whatever so it could carry over to other titles if you want all your titles to print in a specific font size (e.g. 12 points). That's already possible with Vibrance, Recovery and a host of other settings (including the Identity Plate scale factor itself!) and it's very valuable to be able to have those exacting controls.
    Thanks,
    Robert

    Ian,
    I'd be very pleased if I'm doing something wrong. From what I see the Identity Plate supports only one font size, and only for the most recent photo. When I choose Edit and type in a new title of a different length Lightroom changes the size of the font (the longer the title, the smaller the font and vice versa). Try this:
    1) Open Identity Plate and title the picture "Hello".
    2) Change the title to "I just love Adobe Lightroom so very much!"
    The title will be smaller. Lightroom seems to disregard the Identity Plate font size.
    I just tried your recommendation and no matter how I changed the Identity Plate font size in the Print module (e.g. from 38pt to 8pt) the photo's title text size barely changes, I have to use the Scaling slider every time. That font sizing functionality only works for me in the Library module when I'm creating my actual Identity Plate.
    Every time I change pictures I have to re-do this step. The way I'm dealing with this is changing the scaling factor (or with your recommendation, the font size) every time for every different-length title and/or enlarging/shrinking the title box for each photo.
    As I explained in my other reply to your other post, this is very time-consuming when you're printing 50-100 titled photos in a single day/weekend (not to mention the fact that it's physically impossible to set every scaling factor so all titles print exactly the same size font).
    It would be a lot better for Lightroom to automatically save all the print parameters the way it saves all other of the picture's metadata.
    If you could share an easy way to make that much faster I'd be quite grateful.

  • OSX System Wide Font Size?

    I just bought my first 27 inch iMac..
    Although I'm lovin it, I do have it sitting at arms length away from me and am finding the font size vert small..
    With this high res display the font is a bit tiny and am just wondering if its possible to change the system wide font size?
    Ny eyesight is great but I'm finding that I need the computer right up to my face to be able to comfortable see the fonts..
    -Frankie

    There are some suggestions here
    https://discussions.apple.com/message/17593815#17593815
    including changing the screen resolution and the font size for folder and icons.
    Another option not mentioned there is to enable the 'Use scroll gesture with modifier keys to zoom' option in
     > System Preferences > Accessibility | Zoom
    After that, you can hold down the 'control' key and 2-finger swipe to zoom the entire screen.

  • Easiest way to change font size/color with CSS?

    I've never used CSS before; I need to know how to change the font size and color using CSS, since it seems to be the only way to do it now. Sometimes I just need to change the font just for a few words, or a line here and there. Not necessarily page-wide, you understand. Is there a step-by-step process showing the simplest way to accomplish this? I'm not a web developer or professional designer, nor do I want to be. I just use DW to build simple web sites for personal use. I don't build using HTML - I solely use DM's GUI functions. And I'm also trying to teach my nine year-old how to start out page-building. I certainly hope that something as simple as changing font size doesn't require one to buy a book to learn HTML, which seems to be what a lot of people are telling me. Thanks for any assistance.

    Easiest is not always the best way.  You must learn the fundamentals.
    CSS
    /**this styles all paragraphs in your site**/
    p {
    font-size: 18px;
    color: #000;
    /**This is a class.  Classes are re-usable**/
    .red {
    color:red;
    font-weight:bold;
    HTML:
    <p>This is a normal paragraph</p>
    <p class="red">This is a red paragraph</p>
    <p>This is a normal paragraph with <span class="red">some red text here</span> but not here.</p>
    If you're going to teach your 9yr old how to build web pages, start with the links below.
    There's no point in teaching your child bad habits that will have to be unlearned later.

  • Please help! How to increase font size in RemoteApp?

    I have weak-sighted user.
    There is some RemoteApp running on Windows Server 2008 R2 Standatd x64.
    I need to increase scale of fonts to 125% and use 120 dpi fonts for this user.
    But  increasing scale of fonts disabled on RDP Session.
    Option to use 120 dpi font doesn't exist.
    On Windows Server 2003 I can locally increase scale and dpi and this apply for RDP sessions of all users.
    If I locally increase font scale on Windows 2008 R2 this doesn't apply on RDP Session.
    I tried to use desktop customisation to increase fonts of Windows Title, Menu and etc for this user. But I can't increase system fonts on dialogs.
    Please help me to increase font size for my RemoteApp.

    This is an old thread, but the problem persists on W.Server R2
    Interestingly, as Microsoft removed this functionality to solve this problem, wich in my case, with thin client's connected to the server, the problem is aggravated.
    It seems that there is not the slightest intention to solve this problem by Microsoft, since it is understood that each end-user settings, is completely independent of the configuration that should be the default Server or System Confg.

  • 24pt Font Size Tab Text for JTabbedPane

    I'm creating an app for use with Touchscreens and need to make the buttons and such, large enough to fit the tip of a finger.
    I'm having trouble with the JTabbedPane font size and am having trouble finding a way to make the text in the tab larger.
    Same issue with text in a border. Just for looks but would be nice.
    And the text in the window title.
    I've searched the forums and the tutorials but couldn't find anything. Thanks in advance for your assistance.
    Stone

    Hi,
    the text in the window's title is managed by the underlying OS. So, I guess there is no possibility to influence this text. Except you change the display properties of the OS on this computer that runs your app.

  • Text font size changed automatically from normal to huge

    What could cause the font size to go from normal to huge?

    Thanks for the note.  I gave up on the Verizon site (there was no place to go to get one of those FAQ answered) and went to Bing and asked the question, hit the return key and found the answer in the first search topic that came up.  It did give me the answer of increase or decrease font size using the volume keys on the side of the phone.  Now you can disable that particular function so you don't accidentally increase the font size.  Thanks again.
