Font size limited

hi,
I am doing one smartform. In one text field when i want the font size to be 5. But irrespective of what size you are giving the output is coming in size 8 only. I have tried only paragraph format,only chracter format as well as combination of both.But whatever font size is used the output is always coming in size 8 font.
Please help.

Fonts and Font sizes are dependent to what is installed to the "device type".  You can check if the font/font size is available through SE73 (click Printer Fonts button).
To know which "device type" you are using, you have to know your "output device" (ex. LP01).  This is found in SPAD.  View the "output device" and you will see the "device type" assigned to it.
When you're in the Font list of a device type (in SE73), you better choose scaleable fonts to have small font sizes.  Also take note of Bold and Italics if available.  If you forced your form to choose a font/font size that is not available, it will do a font substitution that's why you will see a different size/font face.
If the font you need is not available, ask the Basis team to add it (if you don't have permission).  If it's not really available, choose which is closest to your requirement.
So, when the requirement form is very specific in the layout, it's better to know the exact printer it will be printed.

  • How can I change the font size of an outgoing instant message using Applescript?

    Text copied into Messages.app from a web page is often too small to read. Is there a quick way to boost the font size using Applescript?

    HI,
    I have spent some time looking at the Mix Message Case.scpt in Hard Drive/Library/Scripts/Messages and also Crazy Message Text.scpt in the same Scripts Folder but then the Mail one.
    Both are Apple versions.
    The Mix Case one is set in Messages > Preferences > Alerts
    Set the top drop down to Sent Message
    Enable the Applescript items and chose the Mix Case item.
    It will look something like this in the current Font and size you have set.
    ThEn aGaIn
    Obviously you don't want all the bit to make the font change between upper an lower case but it does have the option to use it with the Sent Message and it also uses the entry in the text field as a String.
    The Mail Crazy Message one  opens a dialogue box when run.
    it has a default phase and some Upper and lower limits to the size that will be used.
    the Dialogue allows you to change the phrase and also "Set Prefs" to altert the font sizes.
    The result is a text palce in a new Mail items and the font and size changes to look like this:-
    Picture
    It will look different everytime and the Font for each character  and the size of each is randomised.
    Although I have tried sticking in a line to change the size to anything other then my set font in the Mixed Case one I can't get it to work.
    In some cases I get an Script error in Messages  (It seems to think I am setting a Font called "10")
    At other times it just says it can't set it buit still does the Mixed Case bit.
    My hope was to change the size and then reduce the requirement for the "intercaps" routine.
    I have other emails about new posts so I will anwser them and then spend some more time on this.

  • Is there a file size limitation to using this service?

    I am working on a large PDF file (26 mb) and I need to re-size the original and mess with the margins. I don't beleive there is an easy way to do this in Adobe Acrobat 6.0 Pro. It sounds like I have to convert the file back to a Word document, do the adjustments there and then produce a new PDF. I have two questions:
    Is there a file size limitation to using this service?
    Will a PDF to Word doc. conversion mantain the format of the orginal PDF?
    Thanks
    Tim

    Good day Tim,
    There is a 100MB file size limitation for submitting files to the ExportPDF service.  As for the quality of the conversion, from our FAQ entitled Will Adobe ExportPDF convert both text and formatting information?:
    Adobe ExportPDF is capable of exporting high quality information, but the quality of your Word or Excel document depends on the quality of the PDF file you start with. For instance, if your PDF file was originally authored in Microsoft Word or Excel and converted to PDF using the PDFMaker functionality of Adobe Acrobat®, your PDF file contains a rich set of information that can be captured by Adobe ExportPDF. This includes relative positioning of tables, images, and even multi-column text, as well as page, paragraph, and font attributes.
    If your PDF file was originally authored using simpler PDF generation methods, such as “print to PDF” or “scan to PDF” options, Adobe ExportPDF will convert any recognizable text and then use sophisticated conversion intelligence to preserve as much of the page layout as possible.
    Please let us know if you have any other questions!
    Kind regards,
    David

  • Change font size in Sidebar Bookmark

    I have a text file with all my logins/passwords that I have open in Firefox sidebar. The problem is they open in font size 12. I want it 8 or so. Is there a way to decrease font size or not?

    Firefox has some global text size settings, but those aren't limited to just the one document you care about.
    Instead, you might consider changing your text file to an HTML file. Save as HTML using a plain text editor and add this at the beginning and end.
    <!DOCTYPE html>
    <html>
    <body style="overflow:automatic">
    <pre style="font-size:10px">
    (Your text here)
    </pre>
    </body>
    </html>
    Does that work?
    Also, there are many ways to manage your login information, if this approach becomes too cumbersome.

  • Change font size in Z-Report created from template

    A Z-report is being created from template which uses WWI.INI file integration to generate the report in Microsoft Word. In that report the text from phrases is passing over the specified text box. So all the phrases are not displayed.
    Now user either want the size of font to decrease or change the size of the box.
    We are going ahead with changing the font size. To do so we are editing the template in CG42. Is this approach is correct or we can change the font size from somewhere else??. If yes ,then how to proceed ??
    Your help will be greatly appreciated as I am new to EHS and have very limited knowledge.

    Hello Aasim,
    Just try it out
    If you are afraid to destroy something on the WWI template create a copy of the template and do your testing there....
    Read the SAP help on WWI.
    Can I edit font in the Microsoft Word file which is generated after I click "Document (F7)" button??
    Yes you can.
    If yes , then suppose I change the font size in a text box there.Does the font of phrase's text also changes accordingly when the report is generated.
    Yes.
    And does that change is for all the phrases in that text box ( since no. of phrases varies according to the specification)???
    Yes it will change the font size for all phrases in that text box.
    There is an option in WWI where you can change the text size dynamically if the text is in a real text box.
    However I'm currently not sure if this works for all kind of WWI templates or only for labels.
    Hope this helps

  • Maximum font size?

    I am unable to get text larger than fontSize=127 with Flex.
    This limitation doesn't exist in Flash, what am I missing with
    Flex? This is a pretty huge problem for what I was doing.
    The whole text/font system seems to be lacking. Many font
    families don't seem to render with flex and default to one of the
    serif/san-serif fonts. Several fonts suffer from clipping at the
    end when fontStyle=italic. Neither the case in Flash.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    Did any of you two got a confirmation that this is a
    limitation in Flex?
    I seem to be having the same problem, and since our interface
    design requires a font size of 152 pixels, this looks like a
    serious problem for us.

    Arjan

  • Maximum font size script

    Howdy all!  Have a tricky question. Using LiveCycle ES 8.2
    Working on a form, I've got a pair of linked text fields (global data linked).
    These text fields are static in size, but I need the values typed into them to shrink when it fills up the visible area of the text field.  I can't set the value font size to 0pt from the start.  It makes the initial font size too big for the value.  The font size needs to remain at 16 pt until the value fills up the field's visible area, then it needs to switch over to 0pt (hence triggering a full event).
    I've tried using a full event with the following code;
    this.font.size = "0pt";
    But it won't fire.  I wonder if there is a limitation to the what the full event can trigger.  I can use the change event or even the exit event if I have to.
    I've also tried a calculate event with the following script:
    if (this.rawValue.length > 48) {
         this.font.size = "0pt";
    else {
         this.font.size = "16pt";
    But this did not fire as well.  And yes, I have the scripting set to Javascript...not Formcalc.
    Any suggestions?

    Hi,
    Using ES3 and just a 0 font initially (with all scripting removed) I get the following, for a short name;
    Which seems about the right.
    And for a long name
    My version of your form is here https://sites.google.com/site/livecycledesignercookbooks/home/bizcard_form.1.pdf?attredire cts=0&d=1
    There have been some changes since ES8, including a default font size added to the form properties, but not sure that is a factor as the largest font used in this sample is still smaller than the default.
    Is this what you are seeing?

  • How to change the font size in sap scripts?

    hi friends,
        i had a query regarding to SAPSCRIPT.
      how to change the font size of a text in sap script form in which it should change it  dynamically.
    is it possible to change the font size dynamically in scripts.
    one more query regarding to this only.
    i need to get the hard copy of a script .
    what is the transaction code to get the hard copy?

    Hi venkata,
    You can specify the font size either in the Character format or pharagraph format.
    You better decide it according to your requirement.  If you want to apply the same font size for the entire form create the Paragraph format and give the paragraph format in the default paragraph format.
    If you want to apply that to limited text, then create character format.
    The process of creating it is just after going inside paragraph format click EDIT-> Create Element and give the font size.
    This applies for character format also.
    Reward points if useful.
    Thanks,
    karthik

  • Help on font sizes and browser resizing issues

    When browsers resize the text, they can have a significant impact on the my designs. I am using CSS positioning, and not tables. I am also using relative font sizes, usually ems. I can get everthing to look right on my pages when the browsers are set at the normal or medium text size. But, i run into problems when the browser is set at the large or largest text size. I need help dealing with this issue in general. But, here's an example that best illustrates the problem:
    I set some white-colored text on a dark background in a  banner at set at 800px x 50px. The font size is set at 1 ems. The background color for the rest of the page is white. So, when the white-colored text fits easily within the banner, everything works okay. But, when the browser resizes the text, the white text flows beyond the dark background color of the banner and becomes invisible on the white background of the page. Is there some way to use margins, padding, or line size to manage this type of situation?
    What are the best tactics to use regarding font size when using CSS positioning ?
    Thanks for any help on this question.

    Thank you for your prompt response. I will put my page on a test server when I can. But, for now, here is my code below.
    I get your point about flexibility.The question is how? What are the best approaches to use?  I have the sense that more experienced designers have some conventional tactics for ensuring the pages read reasonably well even when the text size is enlarged in the browsers, but I am not sure what approach might work in general.
    Part of the issue with this particular design is that I am actually using a background image in the header/banner. And it has a set height:51 px. I don't want it to repeat it vertically whenever someone enlarges the text size in their browser.
    Again, I would appreciate any help offered.

  • Font size when printing from Safari to HP Photosmart 6520 printer

    I just bought a Macbook Pro 13 inch, running OSX 10.9.5.  When I try to print something from within a Safari web page to my HP PhotoSmart 6520 printer, the font is huge. Does anyone know how to adjust the font size for use with Safari. The font size seems to be ok when I print from Pages, for example. So I m thinking the issue may be limited to printing from Safari.

    No one has replied yet and HP has never played well with Apple, so the best I can do right now is to point out a site that has proven very helpful to many users wanting or needing to read up on color management and printing:

  • Change presenter note font size and edit notes in slideshow mode

    Hi, I just switched to Keynote 5.03 and am still learns its features. I have some questions about the slideshow mode of keynote
    1. While in slideshow rehearsal mode with presenter notes showing, is there a way to zoom in on the notes to make the text bigger as you can in Powerpoint, which allows you to zoom up to 400%? This is handy: I can magnifying the notes without having to change its font size, hence no need to exit the slideshow mode.
    2. Powerpoint lets you edit the text of notes on the fly during a slideshow ("view presenter tool" mode), is there a way to do this in Keynote?
    3. The slide thumnails (allow you to jump to a certain slide) on top of the presenter screen are always very fuzzy, is it possible to increase the resolution to get a higher quality image?

    I believe that all of these are limitations of the current version of Keynote.

    Not at all, and we should well expect that Adobe is working on it.  By their own admission they ARE working on it.  I don't sense "deafening silence" at all.  But results won't/can't be instantaneous and they're not going to promise you release dates.  Life is not like that, no matter how many times you click your red shoes together.
    It's not hard to understand that right now only a small minority of Photoshop users are running high dpi screens that can't take advantage of the 200% setting.  And it was the choice of those users to buy such hardware even in light of the fact that Photoshop can't work fully well on it yet.  Adobe didn't force anyone to buy a 150 ppi display.
    Frankly, if you've chosen such hardware even though Photoshop doesn't offer 150% scaling, it's your own fault.  I recently invested well over $1000 in a new monitor and I planned well enough ahead to buy a 100ppi model (Dell U3014, and it's GREAT).  There's a reason that very new technology is called "bleeding edge".  If you want "To Work" instead of "Dealing With Quirks", sometimes you have to be conservative.
    A majority of Photoshop users DO expect new and useful features, however, such as new tools, new camera support in Camera Raw, etc., so Adobe understandably cannot dedicate every resource they have to revamping Photoshop's user interface just for a special few folks who have irresponsibly adopted new display technology.
    We can debate all day how much Adobe ought to be spending on engineering development, but you and I don't run the company.  We don't make business decisions for them.  I do, however, claim to understand their capabilities and limitations - possibly better than most - because I'm in the same business.
    I can only recommend you be patient.  One day Photoshop will respond to your desktop settings.
    What the heck has anybody ever accomplished here, with Adobe, in either fashion?
    Rhetorical or not, some quite tangible things do come to mind...
    At one time I couldn’t paste my clipboard containing a grayscale image into a new document via an action assigned to a key; the color engine would crash.  Today I can do so without incident.
    At one time multiple Help windows would pop up unexpectedly, often when working in the Styles panel.  Today they don’t.
    At one time I had to select Basic GPU mode.  Today I use Advanced GPU mode without a problem.
    Once running Liquify or Smart Sharpen or a number of other things were slow, especially on big images.  Now they're quite fast, with GPU acceleration.
    At one time an action could not write data back to a document when in windowed mode.  Today it works.
    At one time panorama stitching and focus stacking did not work.  Now it works.
    At one time most filters only worked on 8 bits/channel data.  Now many of them can handle 16 bits/channel.
    Once naysayers predicted that the Photoshop Photography bundle would shoot up in price.  Yet today it's still $9.99 a month.
    Once it was impossible to read Photoshop's UI on a 200+ ppi screen.  Now there's a new 200% setting for that.
    I'm sure I can think of other things.  And of course the software isn't perfect today.  It never will be absolutely perfect.
    Station_two, are you keeping up with the latest Photoshop releases?  If not, I submit that your rhetoric may be falling out of date.

  • Minimum font size RichEditableText

    I'm using RichEditableText (with a TextConverter textFlow) to display emails that have been received which works great for bot clear text as well as HTML emails, however sometimes the HTML is really tiny.
    Now I've looked at this for a while and it always appears to be caused by a fault in the HTML markup in the received email.
    Some had a tag like ...<FONT SIZE="1"><SPAN STYLE='font-size:9.0px'>... in it and others had other similar reasons for it to appear very small.
    I obviously can't control what tags different mail clients put in their HTML mails, but does anyone know if there's a way of setting like a minimum font size for this RichEditableText so even though the HTML says it should be font size 1, it's actually displayed at the minimum size?
    I'm currently using this:
         <s:RichEditableText id="noteText"     selectable="true" editable="false" textFlow="{TextConverter.importToFlow(theEmail, TextConverter.HTML_FORMAT)}" />
    Thanks
    Skip

    Hmm, unfortunately this means i'll have to scan and reformat HTML as it comes in and replace <font size=xx> so the minimum size is i,e, 10px.
    All doable, but just a bit frustrating that there still is no simple way to display some basic HTML (and I don't want to go down the iFrame route).
    Oh, I also noticed the rendering of textFlow HTML in a richtexteditor is extremely slow and it stops rendering when it comes across:
    I'll file seperate bug reports for those as well.
    Luckily the Halo Text still does the trick even with it's known HTML limitations.
    Ah well. Thanks anyway.
