Font Size on Yahoo Mail

How can I reduce the font size of the display when browsing my yahoo mails from my BB

That depends on how you are viewing your yahoo mails.  Are the emails being pushed to the device and showing up under Messages or are you browsing them with the web browser?

  • Font size in yahoo mail has suddenly shrunk, not the emails but inbox list etc. Only in Firefox, not Safari etc. How can I correct this

When I opened Yahoo mail from Firefox the font size suddenly shrunk and I can hardly read it. Font size in emails not affected. Inbox, sent list etc are all much smaller.
    No problem when using Safari.
I note from internet forums that others have had this problem.

I have same problem like you!
This problem comes from suck Hardware accelerate of Firefox5.0
Let's turn off Hardware accelerate in browser
Option>Advanced> Tab General> Unchecked use hardware accelerate when available>OK
    After that closing Firefox
    That is!

  • Firefox reduces the font sizes on Yahoo mail to a very small unreadable font size and i have tried the suggestions in help. Explorer does not do this. What should i try other than using Explorer

This problem started about two months ago and I have been using Explorer to access e-mail. I have downloaded all updates and just downloaded 4.01. When trying to view Yahoo mail, all the fonts on the page are very small and I can not adjust the font size. It is so small I can hardly read it. Other pages are fine.

Reset the page zoom on pages that cause problems: <b>View > Zoom > Reset</b> (Ctrl+0 (zero); Cmd+0 on Mac)

  • How can I change the font size on the Mail program?

How can I change the font size on the Mail program?  The text is quite small right now.

Go to fonts and colors in Mail preferences and there you can change the font or size for the different parts of Mail.

I like the mail feature with one exception; I cannot figure out how to change the font size of incoming mail permanently.  And, when answering an email I have to highlight the first few words and zoom it so I can see what I am writing.  what am I missing?

You can type the email using what you set in preferences and then highlight the text and use command - minus sign (or command - + for larger) to reduce the size of the text.
You can also type command - T and a window will appear allowing you to select fonts/sizes/color/ background highlight.
The above works in Notes also. I haven't tried to do this in any other Apple application.
For incoming emails, you can use the above to reduce font size, but I don't know of a way to permanently set the incoming font size to a default.

  • How do you specify a minimum font size for incoming mail?

Is there a way to specify a minimum font size for incoming mail messages? Mail I get from others is almost unreadable and I always have to manually (apple +) increase the size.
As a test, a friend on a PC (most mail I get comes from Windows) kept increasing the size he sent me, but when I received it there was no change in size on my end.
I can't find anything in Mail's menus and preferences to change this behavior.
    Mail 2.07; OS 10.4.6.
    Thanks,
    Cathy

if i had the problem then i'd make a backup copy of
    my ~/library/preferences/com.appple.mail.plist file,
open the original in property list editor, look for
any likely elements that have small or negative font
sizes and set them to, say, 12, save the changes and
    see if that helped
Found the file; couldn't open it (tried Text Edit?) to make any changes.
You can use the following trick to force Mail to
always use a larger minimum font size on received
messages - some HTML messages might not look exactly
as intended but at least you can now read them:
    1. Quit Mail
    2. Open the Terminal
    (/Applications/Utilities/Terminal) and type in the
    following:
    defaults write com.apple.mail
    MinimumHTMLFontSize 13
    3. Restart Mail.app and your HTML messages are
    readable.
Of course you can set the point size to whatever you
    like.
Found file; was not comfortable inputing text as this simple task did not behave properly.
PC friend said other Mac user reported this same anomally with receiving small text from him. I have over a dozen different PC users that I correspond with where I have this problem. It seems to be on the Mac end.

  • How to change font size of incoming mail in mail app?

Formatted text in many incoming mails (written in outlook?) is ridiculously small. There was a terminal command to cure this annoyance but that doesn't work in OS X Yosemite 10.10.2 on my MacBook Pro anymore! (Nor can it be set in the preferences). How come it's not possible to adjust the text size of the mails I receive permanently and once and for all? Talking about the best OS ever?
    Thanks in advance!

    Its there
    Go to Tools -> Options
Then under Environment you've fonts and colors tab where you can specify a higher font size.

  • Changing font size in e-mail

Somehow I managed to accidently change the font size in my e-mail account.  The display of any of my folders is now so small as to be difficult to read at best.  How can I enlarge the font to a more readable size?

Hold down the Control key on your keyboard and click on the + sign to increase the font size. Holding down the Control key and the MINUS key will make the text smaller.

  • Font size in writing mail is too small for first two lines and then switches to 12. How do I change this to start and stay in 12.

When I want to reply to a message or just compose one, the font size is Times Roman 10 which is too small. After two lines it becomes 12. How can I change the font to start and remain Times Roman 12?

This survives closing and reopening Mail. When you open a New Message window, the body text will now be 14 point.
That's how it works on my iMac with OS X 10.8.1 but it refuses to change when selected on our new MacBook Air with the same OS and Apple Mail version.  Is there something about the track pad that it doesn't recognize the click?

  • Is the option to change font sizes in the Mail message list broken?

I can change the font and font size in the messages themselves, but not in the column that lists the messages. Weird. A Google search didn't turn up any references to the problem. Using OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.2 on a 2012 MacBook Air.

Thanks, Barney, but if the font settings don't affect the message list, the option to adjust size and font in the message list shouldn't be offered in the mail preference panel. This feels like a bug. To display a list in a font too small for users to read without providing an option to enlarge it is bad user interface design.
You'll have to talk to Apple about that. I don't work for them, nor does just about everybody else here.

  • Can anyone help me understand how font sizes work in Mail?

    Hi
I am used to writing and sending emails in Arial 10 (on my PC using Outlook) - it seems like a professional sort of size to send to people.
So I have set the Mail Preferences Fonts to Arial 10 for the message font
But when I receive emails, the font is so small I can barely read it. I have a new 24" iMac and just cannot get to grips with keeping font sizes at a reasonable level between applications. And I though Mac was supposed to be joined up....
As I write the text of this posting, the font is a good size to read (although still looks blurred - see my other postings) - it is in Arial which I want.... But I cannot get Mail to wrk in the same way.
I do not want to change the font size to the email messages to a bigger font size, as I want my outgoing messages to be received in font size 10.
Please help me understand how this is all supposed to work in MAC? It was all so easy on a PC!

No, it is one of several unfathomable shortcomings in Mail that you are unable to set a minimum text viewing size. I too have 24in iMac and I have to enlarge each incoming message manually using Cmd+ and this is frankly Stone Age stuff, especially when dealing with hundreds of emails every day. Another very poor alternative is to use Ctrl and the scroll wheel to zoom in but your head will soon be spinning as the screen moves around.
FWIW, I am also dismayed that Apple has disabled the Contextual Menu in 3 of the 4 mail address fields. There must be some obscure justification for limiting CM copy and paste to just the Subject field but I just think it's risible.
And why can't I save a message I have just written to a place of my choosing? Instead I must save it to the Drafts folder or send it first and then Save As from the Sent mailbox. Is this someone's idea of fun?
I could go on about Mail's shortcomings but that's enough ranting for now...

  • Font size on g mail page became 4x larger, how do i reduce it back to normal?

G Mail screen - suddenly enlarged to circa 4 x normal size. Frames resized. Fonts 4 x larger than normal. How do I return the screen to normal size. I can find no means of achieveing thei.

Reset the page zoom level there.

  • The font size in Yahoo finance (quote page) is huge. It's the only page that does this. Other pages are fine. The view/zoom/reset works, but only temporarily...the setting doesn't stick...help.

I've tried the tools/options/content tab to no avail.

    Same as above

You can rename the content-prefs.sqlite file to content-prefs.sqlite.old (or delete the file) in the Profile Folder to reset the page zoom on all sites.

  • Windows 7 Firefox 5.0 Yahoo Mail font sizes

When I change the font size in Yahoo Mail "compose message" the font size on screen always appears as my default 10 point, and I cannot see what I am actually composing. I forwarded a test email to a second Yahoo account of mine and hey presto, the different size fonts were displayed.
I then forwarded the test email back to my first Yahoo account and the various fonts sizes were displayed. On trying to forward that email on my "forwarded message" reverted to displaying 10 point on my screen.
I seem to have accidentally sent emails with HUGE text in them as I cannot see what I am actually writing and the font size sometimes changes unnoticed. Any suggestions?

Try the Firefox SafeMode. <br />
    ''A troubleshooting mode, which disables most Add-ons.'' <br />
''(If you're not using it, switch to the Default Theme.)''
    # You can open the Firefox 4/5/6/7 SafeMode by holding the '''Shft''' key when you use the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
    # Or use the Help menu item, click on '''Restart with Add-ons Disabled...''' while Firefox is running. <br />
''To exit the Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before using the Firefox shortcut (without the Shft key) to open it again.''
If it is good in the Firefox SafeMode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one. <br />
