Font size progressively increases  . . . strange

strange behavior . . . I built an application and now I've
gotten the complaint that the fonts increase after about 4 hrs of
use each day. I suggested closing the browser and clearing the
cache, which works. I'm using mozilla firefox. Any suggestions as
to cause and prevention? its a windows xp OS. and none of the other
programs appear to be affected. Thanks.
Mike

  • Increase font size of a print out

    Hi,
    We neet to print one ABAP report in landscape. The font is very small to be visible. So, we need to increase the font.
    Currently while printing on a local computer, the format its using is X_65_255.
    Please suggest me what has to be done to increase the font size to get the report clearly visible.
    Thanks,
    Sailesh K

    Right!!  This will happen, this is why I suggest to shorten the size of the report,  get rid of gaps in the columns, get rid of un-needed columns, etc.  This is the only way to get the font size to increase, because the system wants to show all the data in the report, so it shrinks the font to accomodate the  255.  A 132 format looks very good on an 8 1/2 X 11 sheet in landscape.  The font is a very good size, as you increase the columms, the font will decrease.  Do you understand why it is this way?  Think of it this way, if you need to put 500 characters across the page, what do you do?  Shrink the font, right?  This is what the system is doing when going with larger number of character columns.  If you want to get the report to a nice readable font size, you must bring the format down to 132 characters across.

  • New Browser Font - Font Size - Thumbs Down

    I'm not sure why Palm messed with something that was working - but the new font in the browser is too small in portrait mode. Maybe ok for folks with great eyes but the previous font was much more readable in portrait mode.
    If we're going to stick with that, at least give me the ability to choose a small, medium or large size as the standard font in the browser to make it a little bigger.
    Is there somewhere we can email suggestions/complaints to? This is a big one for me.
    I love my phone otherwise and appreciate the speed improvements etc, but this is just a bad change. The font looks nice and all but it's too small.
    Post relates to: Pre p100eww (Sprint)

    I've got to agree with you. My ATT Palm Pre Plus's font size is ridiculously too small.
    And NO adjustment for "small, medium, or large" font?  Inexcusable.
    My Blackberry Bold had options to select an exact font size (i.e., 8, 10, 11, 12...whatever). Why can't Palm Pre Plus offer any user-selectable font sizes?
    Failure to allow your customers the ability to adjust to a larger (and readable) font size is a strange indication. It's almost like someone at Palm "wanted" this phone to fail.
    Does anyone know how to increase font size on the ATT Palm Pre Plus?
    Thanks!

    Hi
    I was working on a logo today in Photoshop.  I clicked on the font size to increase the text size from 18px to 30px.  I got a message that I couldn't go any larger than 18 px.  Any idea how to fix this???
    Thanks

  • Flex Spark Datagrid - Scalable (font size) with No scroll Bars

    I was wondering what would be the most optimized way to scale (increase/decrease) the fonts size in a Spark DataGrid with NO Scroller, so as to make it when the User Resizes the DataGrid, the Fonts inside the Grid would increase/decrease.
    Is there a way to listen for the size change of the DataGrid?
    I would probably need to change the font size to increase/decrease as the event gets fired on Datagrid Resize.
    Any suggestions?

    I've pasted as much code as I can legally can.  What i would like to achieve is that when the the window resizes, the Content & the DataGrid Scales. I am also aware of scalemode on the VBox, though it scale oddly with width more than height (this is internal).
    Else, I tried:
    protected function vgroup1_addedToStageHandler(event:Event):void
                //stage.scaleMode = StageScaleMode.EXACT_FIT;
                stage.scaleMode = StageScaleMode.SHOW_ALL;
                stage.align = StageAlign.TOP_LEFT;
                scaleX = .5;
                scaleY = .5;
                /* if(stage.stageWidth != (event.currentTarget as VGroup).width || stage.stageHeight != (event.currentTarget as VGroup).height)
                    var scaling:Number = 1;
                    if(width>height)
                        scaling = stage.stageWidth / (event.currentTarget as VGroup).width;
                    else
                        scaling = stage.stageHeight / (event.currentTarget as VGroup).height;
                    scaleX = scaleY = scaling;

  • Font Size Larger in Firefox :(

    Hey
    I have designed a site and the font size is larger in Firefox
    than it is in Internet Explorer.
    Here's the site:
    Click here for link
    I have searched everywhere through google to find answers but
    none worked. Does it have something to do with font requirements in
    Firefox? Or in CSS I have to use an: important! tag?
    Any help much appreciated!

    Looks the same to me. My guess is that you just have your
    default font size
    preference increased in Firefox.
    Remember, end users can change the font sizes regardless of
    what you spec.
    Overall, your site seems to handle font size increasing just
    fine so I
    woudlnt' worry too much about it.

  • How to increase font size of error message in css or in template?

    Hi all,
    Firt time i am working for css modification.I am not able to increase the font size of Error message in Inline in Notification validation at Item level. I am not able to find where i should make change for that in tempalate or in CSS. I know it's very simple question but i am not able to do this simple change.
    I created some validation at Item level and page level and in Inline in Notofication want to display the error message.
    In error message i am writing code like "
    <a href="#P15_item_name" title="Link to item FIELD">Please Enter value for item name </a>."
    but font is very small. can any one help me where i should make changes to make it some biger font.
    where exactly i should make changes.?
    Thank You,
    Amit

    This is strange. Another css is used, core_V22.css
    Here is the path: htmldb/images/css/
    Search for "span.errTxt". It already has a set font-size, so just increase it.
    I don't know the exact use of core_V22.css. It seams to be used by other applications, so it may influence them as well. It would be better if you could define another class, but I don't realize yet from where to address it
    I hope this helps you Amit

  • Increasing font size system wide

    I recently got a 17" macbook pro with the hi-def screen.
    I'm having a problem seeing the text with my old eyes
    How can I increase the font size without causing it to blur or distort the page?
    Thanks

    Another thing you can do for Safari is to go to Preferences>Advanced and check the Universal Access box. This will let you select a font up to 24 pt. This won't help the menu bar, but any Safari page will load in a comfortably large font that will be easy to read. I set mine for 18 pt, and it is nice and big.
    For Mail, you can go to Preferences>Fonts and Colors and do the same thing. Also in Mail, you can customize the toolbar and put the Smaller/Bigger (a/A) icon in, which you can use to magnify any message you get in tiny font.
    I have found that setting a comfortable to read font in these two applications helps a lot. I can generally do something similar in other applications. There isn't much you can do with the left column in Finder, but if you go to "View Options, you can increase the rest of the text to 16 pt in the other columns.
    Although I can use my progressive glasses, I find reading glasses more comfortable for long computer sessions. My eyes are both old and bad, but setting up the larger fonts and usually increasing the page size, I really don't have any trouble using the hi res display.
    And if your new Mac is less than two weeks old, you might be able to exchange it for a non hi res model, but there would likely be a restocking charge.
    Good luck!

  • In mail, how do you increase font sizes in a reply.  Cannot find things like "underline", "italic" etc either.  Where are they?  Entourage was easier!!

    In mail, how do you increase font sizes in a reply.  Cannot find things like "underline", "italic" etc either.  Where are they?  Entourage was easier!!

    Preferences/Compsing/set to Rich Text (only then you can use bold etc).
    Then Rightclick the toolbar in Mail, and clcik Customize the toolbar.
    Put the icons (with or without text) that you want on your toolbar.

  • How do I increase the font size of my app group names?

    At the moment the font is too small and hard to read without glasses on. Does anybody know how the font size of the app groups that I have created can be increased in size or the app names in general? You can't.

    How can I increase the font size when I print out emails, it is printing tiny size?

    In the Print dialog window, click the small reveal-button to the right of the printer's name -
    The window will expand to show additional settings (similar to 'old' Page Setup) -
    Be sure "Scale:" is set to 100% and the 'Keep apparent font size' item is checked.

  • How do I increase the font size in my email and maintain resolution.

    Hi folks. Mr Newbie is seeking some help, I hope it is relatively straight forward, thanks
    How do I increase the font size in my standard email and document views without losing resolution.  Right now my font size in email, headers and text is less than that on my iPhone, it rather defeats the point of having a 27" screen if most of it is blank and I have to sit with my nose to the screen to read email.  Thanks for your help, once you have stopped laughing.  C

    Two things you can do to easily aid with readability in Mail are as follows:
    1) Increase the size of folders in the sidebar:
    a) select "system preferences" from the Apple menu
    b) select "general settings"
    c) select small, medium or large under "sidebar icon size"
    2) Increase the text in the main body of the email (both sent and received):
    a) select "preferences" from the Mail menu
    b) select "fonts and colors"
    c) adjust font size for "message list font" and "message font".  I have noticed this works properly while in classic mode, but in regular mode the message list font doesn't appear to change size.
    Select classic mode by accessing Mail preferences and selecting the "viewing" tab.
    Another shortcut is to right click on the toolbar, then select "customize toolbar", and then drag the "smaller / bigger" buttons onto the toolbar.  Now you can decrease and increase font size as desired on the fly.
