Font size too small when printing from Hotmail

I'm currently using Hotmail for my email within Safari Version 3.2.3. OSX 10.5.7
When and email has arrived that I'd like to print, it prints out at about a font size 4.
I can hardly read it. How can I increase this?
Thanks

Hi Gary,
Hotmail being web based mail I wonder if you can change the font size in the Hotmail window?

  • Print font size too small

    When printing in Safari, the print size is tiny, both in email and web sites, smaller than it appears on screen. When using Internet explorer or Firefox it prints the right size. If I go to Safari edit, preferences, then appearance, and raise font size, it will print larger, but all font sizes on web pages are way big. How can I just increase the print font size. My IP is Comcast. OS is Win XP sp3.

    It should print the same size. Click View -> "Make text bigger" before printing.

  • Font Size too small to work with

    In the code view, the Font Size is too small to work with and the zoom in/out and magnification are grayed out.
    How do I increase the font size so I can see what I'm doing?
    Many thanks!

    Edit > Preferences > Fonts > Code View.
    HINT:  If you switch between Western European and Unicode, be sure to set-up font-sizes for both.

  • Photoshop Font Sizes too Small on High Resolution Screen

    On my Toshiba Satellite P55T 4K the Photoshop fonts and tool menus are so small that they are very difficult to read.  I have set the UI fonts to the largest size, but they are still way too small. Is there a way to further increase the font and tool menu sizes?

    You must have a very high resolution screen, also called HiDpi.
    If you have Photoshop CC 2014, you can go to Edit > Preferences > Experimental Features and checkmark "Scale UI 200%"
    If you have CC, CS6, or below, there is no way to scale the UI as of yet. There may not be. These products are no longer being updated.
    At best I can recommend reducing the resolution down to around 1400 px horizontal. That's not the native resolution and defeats the purpose of having a Hidpi screen.
    So only thing left aside from returning the laptop, is to work with a large external monitor, or for $10/monthly, join the Photography Plan and you can use CC 2014 and the 200% UI.

  • Windows 8.1 RDP pci/font size too small

    I just purchased a Dell Xps 15 Windows 8.1 and am struggling with many apps including RDP which I use daily for several clients. I have searched on line for suggestions. I can connect but the font is tiny. I am not even sure if I have the correct RDP installed
    but I have tried all options on what I have to no avail.  My old laptop with Windows 7 is "dandy".  Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi,
    Did you choose one of the high-resolution screens offered with the XPS 15?  For example, 3200 x 1800 or 3840 x 2160?  If yes then that explains why you are having problems when connecting to hosts that do not support dynamic scaling.
    Depending on your vision even the 1920x1080 option may be too small for comfort.
    One thing you may consider is to hook up an external monitor that is much lower resolution and larger size and use that for your remote desktop windows when connecting to older operating system versions.

  • Font size too small to read in safe/boot mode

    I'm posting for a friend who has vision issues. He's attempting to do the clean installation on his 2012 MBP with Mavericks. Basically he's having some trouble reading small font size in the Startup environment with the bootable Mavericks (and likely next steps once the installation is completed). The shortcut command for Zoom in is disabled (which Accessibility or certain shortcut commands obviously is/are disabled in this environment) and can't find a way to change the screen resolution in order to enlarge the size of the screen and font size. Any suggestion to remedy this case?

    Here are a couple of workarounds until Apple finally fixes iCal.
    You can go to print, choose medium or big, then preview. Then click the middle orange button on the original iCal page to make it disappear. Print Preview will remain, and for me "Big" in preview produces a perfect, visible size. AND YES YOU CAN EDIT IT... but only in Preview. This is now a Preview document, so you can go to tools, annotate (or do the keyboard shortcut), click the annotate icon at the bottom and add items to the Preview Calendar. They won't go into iCal software, of course, but for reminders for the current month they'll work fine.
    This works especially well if you have an extra monitor, set the screen size to large, and pull iCal or your Preview over to it and leave it there. I leave Mail and iCal Preview up on the extra monitor.

    Why is that?

    It's the layout of the site, you can zoom the page you know , unless it happens to be an application, in which case just go to the web site through the browser and use zoom function on web browser.
    Good Luck

  • Interface font size too small

    Is there a way to increase the size of the font used in the application? I'm referring to the font used in the entire interface, not the metadata panel where it is possible to increase the font size of that singular UI panel.
    If there is no in built functionality, is there a way of replacing the application font with a modified larger version or just a different font that is larger?
    I've tried increasing the Screen DPI in windows, this enlarges most other applications I have, but not Adobe Bridge.

    Me too.  I find I soon get eyestrain and a headache trying to read the miniscular fonts.
    But then, when I switch the screen resolution to a lower setting, the windows inside Dreamweaver become impossible to manage.
    VERY poor design, Adobe!
    For a company that prides itself on fonts and creating documents, this is a major failing.

  • Adobe Captivate 4 Quiz(Matching)  Drop down list font size too small.

    Hi,
    We are using Adobe Captivate 4.  Quiz (Matching).  Exported to SWF.
    The drop down list fonts are small. We want to use bigger font in the drop down list, but cant find a way.
    Any one can help?
    Thanks

    Hello,
    Formatting Question slides in CP is sometimes a pain. I cannot give you a proper answer, but it would be great if you filed a feature request to the team to have more control over the styles used in this dropdown list (link is in the main page of this forum). If we are many to ask for such enhancements, it will get higher on the priority list.
    As you probably discovered, in the Properties of the dropdown lists in the Matching Question slide you can only change font and color, not font size. My proper workaround is choosing a font that gives the best result, some fonts really look bigger than others. This is not always consistent with the styles in the rest of the movie, but I adapt all the Text in Question slides to this choosen font.
    Sorry not to be able to help you. Question slides are in the folder, but in SWC-format, and I cannot open those files, even though I have Flash CS4 installed. Perhaps a Flash-wise guy will pop in to help you.

  • System Font Size Too Small

    I just received a new 15 inch powerbook today (Dec. 2005). It has increased screen resolution with respect to the previous model, but I think the default font size (i.e. top menu bar, safari window bar font size) is noticeably smaller than the older powerbooks. The problem is you can't adjust this - in Finder - show view options only controls the desktop icon size and font sizes. In safari you can make the page text bigger, but not the font size of the window. There is the Zoom option in accessibility, but I really only need a small global font increase. Does anybody know a work-around?
    thanks
    Trevor

    Download and use TinkerTool.
    Thanks - but it said something like "this is not adjustable" and asked to click an "understood button". Subsequent system font adjustments did not do anything. It looks like the adjustability varies for different OS X releases...

  • Apple Mail font size too small for father

    My father just purchased a iMac with Mountain Lion OS and a 27 inch screen.
    My father needs to be able to read the text of the AppleMail window.
    We have increased the size of the fonts to 18 to make it easy for him to see what he is typing in the email editing window, however, none of the other display fonts in AppleMail increase.
    The increase in font size is intended by Apple to provide an Accomodation to provide Equal Access for those with Sight Disabilities to the Essential Functions of use, however, this intent appears to have failed within AppleMail.
    Would a different mail reader (gmail, etc) provide this font sizing ability?
    Requested Remedy:
    Provide the ability to increase font size for all of the AppleMail display.

    'Preferences' doesn't solve the problem, since it only alters the font size of text for a single message, and doesn't alter the Mailbox Pane or Message Panes.
    The Mailbox Pane is enlarged outside Mail, using the System Preference's 'General' setting for Sidebar Icon size - this also alters sidebar text size.
    And the Message List is enlarged most easily by a Terminal command
    - it's only a single line, cut'n'paste:
    defaults write com.apple.mail RichMessageList -bool FALSE
    Then restart Mail and adjust its column sizes for the newly enlarged fonts.
    This thread gives a full discussion of this solution and its clumsier alternatives:

  • Email text font size too small.

    When receiving email text from various sources, the size of the text is so small it is almost impossible to read.  I have a 27"iMac running Snow Leopard at 1920x1200 resolution.  How can I adjust my computer so that text is larger and more readable??  Thanks for any helpful suggestions.

    You can set that in Mail > preferences > Fonts & Colors > Message font:
    You can also hit CMD +  or CMD - to alter the size temporarily.

  • 'ORA-06502 character string buffer too small' when called from C# app

    I have researched this problem and checked my variable sizes over and over again. I have tested the procedure within the Oracle Express environment and it works fine; HOWEVER, when the procedure is called from my C# app it produces the ORA-06502 error.
    The stored procedure signature looks like this...
    create or replace save_new_project (p_custorgid in number,
      p_title in varchar2,
      p_AOIName in varchar2,
      p_description in varchar2,
      p_receiveddate in date,
      p_deadlinedate in date,
      p_startdate in date,
      p_createddate in date,
      p_createdby in varchar2,
      p_projectid out number,
      p_statustypedescrip out varchar2)The OracleParameter in my C# app for the last out param is defined as such...
    cmd.Parameters.Add(new OracleParameter("p_statustypedescrip", OracleDbType.Varchar2, 30, ParameterDirection.Output));As I said at the beginning of this post, the procedure works fine in the Oracle environment. So why is it not working by simply calling it from C#? I've tried changing the OracleDbType to CLOB which eliminates the error but it returns a bizarre result. It returns this string, "Oracle.DataAccess.Types.OracleClob". WTH?!!
    Since CLOB doesn't really work either I switch back to Varchar2 and specify a size of 5000 (in the database the field I am querying is defined as Varchar(30)). I still get the ORA-06502 error.
    I am clueless as to what the problem is. It should work and it does if I run a series of SQL statements in an Oracle SQL Command window. The test that works fine looks like this...
    declare
      v_projid projects.projectid%type;
      v_statustypedescrip projectstatustypes.type%type;   /* this is a varchar(30) */
    begin
      save_new_project(2, 'Some input text goes here', 'More input text', 'And more again','26-APR-2007','26-APR-2007','26-APR-2007','26-APR-2007','users name as inpujt text here',v_projid,v_statustypedescrip);
      dbms_output.put_line('v_projid = ' || v_projid);
      dbms_output.put_line('v_statustypedescrip = ' || v_statustypedescrip);
    end;But calling save_new_project from C# throws ORA-06502. It identifies line 40 of my stored procedure. This is line 40...
    p_statustypedescrip := v_statustypedescrip;

    Problem solved!!!
    I don't know why this worked but it did. I changed how I declared the output parameter in my C# app. I used to have it on one line like this...
    cmd.Parameters.Add(new OracleParameter("p_statustypedescrip", OracleDbType.Varchar2, 30, ParameterDirection.Output));but then I changed it to multiple lines like this...
    OracleParameter prm11 = new OracleParameter();
    prm11.ParameterName = "p_statustypedescrip";
    prm11.OracleDbType = OracleDbType.Varchar2;
    prm11.Size = 30;
    prm11.Direction = ParameterDirection.Output;
    cmd.Parameters.Add(prm11);I don't know why it works this way but it does and that's all I care about.

  • Jpeg thumbnails too small when saved from Photoshop

    Since moving to Snow Leopard, I notice that the Finder shows jpegs saved from Photoshop quite a bit smaller than jpegs saved using other apps, like Preview or just scanned images. This makes viewing the thumbnails in the Finder harder. Does anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it?
    I would post a screen grab to show this, but I can't see how to do that here. If anyone knows, please let me know.
    Thanks

    That's because Photoshop creates its own rather smallish icons (by the new standards) for the files. If you remove custom thumbnails and let Finder draw them they'll be scalable all the way up to 512x512. There is a preference from within Photoshop to tell it to NOT create icons. Go to PS prefs, select Saving Files, and turn off Image Previews. The advantage is that the icons can be drawn larger; the disadvantage is that they will appear in Finder more slowly, since instead of simply displaying what is there Finder has to draw the icons. Furthermore, Finder doesn't always draw the icons with the clarity one would expect: sometimes they never do appear as sharp as they ought to be (there are several very lengthy threads discussing this problem, with no real solution), sometimes they slowly appear in all their large glory.
    Oh, and to post a picture, as in my signature, you have to have the image available somewhere online, then add an image tag.
