Font size when printing email messages

Having chosen a larger font for viewing email messages, is there a way to avoid printing email messages in the larger font, but rather print in the default font?

HI RRW21,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums.   I understand that when trying to print an email from your iPad to your Deskjet 3512 that the email prints with a large-sized font.
The size of the font is controlled by the email program and its font settings.  Apple’s AirPrint feature and HP’s ePrint app don’t have the ability to modify the font.  To modify the font please ask the email sender to modify it in any future emails or forward the email to yourself and modify the font before pressing Send.  I have included Apple’s About AirPrint and the HP ePrint Mobile App FAQ documents for your reference.

  • Is there a way to change font size in incoming email messages?

In the Mail preferences I see options for changing fonts and sizes for composing email, but is there a way to control incoming font sizes?
Some emails for some reason show up in very tiny fonts when they come into my Mail program
    thanks

    Hello Nick,
Thank you for the question.  You can update the font settings in the Preferences for Mail.  By going to Mail>Preferences>Fonts & Colors, you can update the Message list font and the Message font for easier viewing.  The Messages font will only change to the font you select if the sender does not have specific formatting for the text in their email:
    Option
    Description
    Message list font
The font and font size for viewing the list of messages (in classic layout only). Click Select to use a different font.
    Message font
The font and font size for writing and viewing messages. Click Select to use a different font.
If the sender used a specific font for a message, that font is used when viewing the message.

  • Font size when printing from Safari to HP Photosmart 6520 printer

I just bought a Macbook Pro 13 inch, running OSX 10.9.5.  When I try to print something from within a Safari web page to my HP PhotoSmart 6520 printer, the font is huge. Does anyone know how to adjust the font size for use with Safari. The font size seems to be ok when I print from Pages, for example. So I m thinking the issue may be limited to printing from Safari.

No one has replied yet and HP has never played well with Apple, so the best I can do right now is to point out a site that has proven very helpful to many users wanting or needing to read up on color management and printing:

  • Changing the font size when sending email out from the iPad with MobileMe

Is there a way from the iPad, or from my MacBook to the iPad, that I can increase the size of the font when typing outgoing mail? I use MobileMe on both my iPad and MacBook. My sister has cataracts and she needs the type size larger than what is already set on the iPad outgoing mail. I can make the type size larger for my incoming mail - I guess I did it through iPad settings -but I can't seem to figure out how to make it larger for my outgoing mail. I would prefer to be able to answer her on my iPad than having to switch back to my Mac each time she writes. Thank you.

I guess what I am looking for is a toolbar when I am sending email so that I can change the font size, change the typeface, make words bold, underline them
I don't think you will find any app that does that, it's the kind of feature only Apple can add. You can tell them here:

  • How can I increase the event font size when printing a weekly listing from Lightning?

I find a printed weekly calendar very useful in my life. I used to use the Sunbird calendar program with the FG Print extension to increase the font size to something more appropriate for my aged eyes. Is there a way to do this with Lightning? I'm running Thunderbird 24.2.0 on Linux Mint 13, if that matters.
    Thanks in advance.

Are you using the print formatted page for printing? You can pop that up from the '''...''' menu that appears above the item. (Screen shot example attached.)
If that page still is too small:
    * Is Firefox using the full area of the page? If Firefox is only using part of it, this could be related to a problem reading the correct "paper size" from your printer driver. More tips on that if needed.
    * If Firefox is using the full page it might be shrinking the content to make space horizontally. In a window where you can access the menu bar, check File>Page Setup or orange Firefox button>Print>Page Setup to make sure the scaling is not set too small or, if necessary, turn off Shrink to Fit.

  • Adobe Reader font size when printing

I am having an issue with an employee and printing from Adobe Reader.  The user is using Windows 7 Ultimate on version 11.0.07 of Adobe.  She uses a program called certified mail where she prints addresses on to certified mail forms.  The font is extremely small.   She uses an HP Laserjet 1536 printer.  I have contacted HP and they showed me the Preferences>Commenting section to change the font in Adobe from size 10 to 14 but this still didn't help her problem.  This employee can print to a different network printer and it prints the fonts larger, the way they want them to be.  This seems to be to her local 1536 printer, which is attached via USB cable.
My question is, how do I change the size of the font to make it more legible?  When she prints these forms, it pops up in Adobe to print preview.  The preview fonts are very small.  I was told to change the resolution on the printer, but that will only show the preview as larger and not the actual print.
Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you.

  • How can I increase the font size of my email when I print it out, it is printing tiny

How can I increase the font size when I print out emails, it is printing tiny size?

In the Print dialog window, click the small reveal-button to the right of the printer's name -
The window will expand to show additional settings (similar to 'old' Page Setup) -
Be sure "Scale:" is set to 100% and the 'Keep apparent font size' item is checked.

  • Apple Mail (Mavericks), Viewing size of list is too small.how do you increase the size of the email message list.  The font is too small, I can hardly read them.

In Apple Mail, using Mavericks, how do you increase the size of the email message list that displays on the left side of the screen?
The font size is so small.
    Thanks.

Thank you for responding.  After investigating and checking further, it was clear that only one of your suggestions changes the font size of the list of emails, also called the In-box.  And that is the display resolution.
However, changing the display resolution affects the dots per inch of everything, everywhere and makes it larger.
Given the high end fee Apple charges for their products, and the generally well developed software they provide, it is hard to imagine they have not corrected this obvious slight of effort on the inbox text. At times Apple's "one-size-fits-all" and "it's our way or no way" mentality astounds me and makes me want to run back to Microsoft.
Evidently this is a well known mistake, which has yet to receive any attention.
Again, thank you for your effort and assistance on my behalf.

  • Type size in printed email

How can I increase the font size when I print email?  It is printing
    with a 4 or 5 point font.

I have an idea of how to fix that.
While in the web page there are these buttons: Reply, Reply All, Forward, Spam, Print, Delete. And it looks like users can move selected e-mail messages to different folder.
#1 In your web browser, make the text as small/large as you want to.
If I am using IE, I can go to:
    a) View -> Zoom
    b) View -> Text Size.
If I am using Fire Fox, I can go to:
    View -> Zoom
I have No squint, as an add-on for Fire Fox.
#2 In your web browser go to File -> Print.
    Also:
#1 Depending on the message: You can highlight the message.
#2 In your web browser go to Edit -> Copy.
#3 In another program, like OpenOffice you go to Edit -> Paste.
#4 In that other program, you adjust the text to the correct size.
#5 Then you go to File -> Print.
If you are the original poster (OP) and your issue is solved, please remember to click the "Solution?" button so that others can more easily find it. If anyone has been helpful to you, please show your appreciation by clicking the "Kudos" button.

  • Text Size When Printing Comments Different Than On-Screen

Hello.  We are supporting an end-user with an unusual problem.  They are able to make sticky comments fine and adjust the font size on screen.  However, when this user goes to print either to a physical printer or a PDF, the font size of the comment is different (smaller) than what is shown on screen.
    On-Screen Example:
    Print To PDF Example:
Is there an option to match the text size of the printed version to that of the on-screen?  Even if the printed text size can be bumped up just a bit, it'd be greatly appreciated.  The font size when commenting on-screen is 18 Arial but it seems like the printed version is more like 10 Ariel.
    Thank you.

Just tried the latest version of Adobe Reader and the same issue occurs.  Making the on-screen font size 70 in the Commenting Preferences field makes NO CHANGE when printed (comes out at about 10 / 12 point font).  Even the Print Preview doesn't show the larger font so there's some setting getting lost when you go to print.
Talking to our client, this problem likely coincides with Adobe updates that were pushed out.  This is easily reproducible (anyone with an up-to-date version of Adobe Reader can do this) but doesn't seem to be a fix.
    Any help out there?

  • Print size does not default to form size when printing PDF form.

So, we have created an interactive new client form for our firm. The form was created in LiveCycle Designer ES 8.2 and is set to legal size (8.5 x 14). After the form was completed and exported, it was filled out for testing and printed. During the printing process it was noticed that in the print dialog box, the dimentions for the form were wrong. It showed that the default document size was 8.5 x 11. Where and how is this changed in LC?
A new form was created (starting from scratch) with the document settings set to legal again, and inside of LC in the PDF preview panel, I tried to print and the same thing occured.
Please advise as how to set the document to its default size when printing without have to do it in the print dialog box.

The print dialog doesn't display the forms dimensions but those of the currently selected paper format of your printer.
If you change the page format in the printer driver the diemensions in the preview will change too.

  • CS5 & Manage Custom Sizes when printing.

Every time I try to “manage custom sizes” when printing, Photoshop “quits unexpectedly.” I am using Photoshop CS5, and Epson 7800, and Mac Yosemite. I’ve done all the updates, and reinstalled the driver. Any ideas on troubleshooting?

I am having the exact same problem with an Epson 3880.  I chatted with Epson support earlier today and they suggested that I uninstall the drivers and support software and reinstall.  I followed their instructions and the result was the same.  I did save my image file to a TIFF format and then opened it under Preview and when I used file->print and selected "manage custom sizes" it brought up the custom size menu as expected.  I also attempted this using Photoshop Elements 11 and the "manage custom sizes" menu appeared only in this case when I selected "Cancel" Elements crashed too.
It is not clear to me how to proceed with kglad's recommendation to "shutdown running processes in a logical manner".  I don't know what a logical manner might be.
Anyway, I have just done a complete uninstall of Photoshop CS5 and I'm about to reinstall it from the distribution DVD.  I think I'll test the "manage custom sizes" before I install the updates this time.
I'd sure appreciate it if you come up with anything, that you would post it here.  Thanks
So, I uninstalled Photoshop 5, restarted my iMac, and reinstalled Photoshop CS5.  When I attempted to Manage Custom Sizes, Photoshop CS5 blew up.
I find that I can add custom sizes and manage them from Preview and then use them in Photoshop.  So, I guess that will have to suffice until someone comes up with a fix.  Given that Photoshop CS5 is no longer supported that will probably be never.
Post here if something better comes along.

  • Change paper size when printing

How to change paper size when printing pdf? No option for paper size appear.

That is a feature of AirPrint. If you do a Google search on "AirPrint paper size" you'll find documentation from major printer manufacturers. For example, this is copied from some HP documentation:
What paper and media sizes are supported?
With AirPrint, paper and photo media sizes are automatically selected depending on the application you are using on your Apple device, your HP ePrint printer, and the region in which you are using AirPrint. You do not have the option to select different paper sizes.
For example, from Apple’s Photo application, if the HP ePrint printer has a separate photo paper tray, AirPrint uses 4 x 6 inch photo media as the default paper size. If the printer does not have a separate photo paper tray, AirPrint uses letter-size paper. If you are printing from Apple’s Safaribrowser, letter-size paper is the default paper size in the US region, and A4 is the default paper size in Europe.
AirPrint supports the following paper and media sizes:
    Letter
    Legal
    A4
    4 x 6 in photo paper
    A6 photo paper
