Font too large when printing an incoming email

I want to change the font size when printing out mail in my inbox. The email font size is small and OK, but when I print the email, it's too large. How to I change this?

I am trying to download a form from a government site. I can fill out the form on line, but I have to print it in order to save my information. However, when I print it the font is huge and it does not all print on one page. How do I stop this? Would someone please help. I am using Adobe Reader to read and print this form.

There should be a scaling option in the print dialog box to scale the page to fit to print.

HP LASERJET CP1525nw print error when printing online Gmail emails with Google Chrome

HP LASERJET CP1525nw print error when printing online Gmail emails with Google Chrome. Extra large font sizes and weird formatting issues only when printing emails from Gmail within Chrome. No problems when printing the same email from Gmail+Internet Exolorer or Thunderbird. Using the IE Tab extension in Chrome prints the email correctly but the style of Gmail's message window is completely weird ie: formatting bar is spread out vertically instead of horizontally. I believe it is clear that this is an application specific issue between the HP LASERJET CP1525nw printer and Google Chrome + Gmail. This printing scenario does not occur when printing anything else or when printing via another printer. I would appreciate receiving any suggestions to solve this issue.
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate x64
Browser: Google Chrome 15
HP Print driver: HP Universal Print Driver for Windows PCL6 v5.4.0
Printer is connected by WiFi to 4 computers

You need to contact Google Chromes technical support as this is only an issue with Chrome. You have indicated that the printer functions correctly everywhere else. Check out the link below for Google Chrome technical support. Let me know if you need additional assistance?

Font too large! (among other things!) Used

Galaxy Note 4 / Envy 4500 - printing anything (emails, notes, web pages)
Comes out at like 40 pt font
...and in landscape
...and prints a light grey background on anything other than plain text email.
I can't find any settings to change the font or orientation. This seems to be a common problem for everyone.
Happens with both Airprint and the app.

I see that you are having some font size issues when printing from the Galaxy Note 4 to the ENVY 4500. I believe the AirPrint is only an option from an Apple device, are you also printing from an Apple product?
Also, which App are you using, HP ePrint or HP AiO Remote, etc?
In the mean time, ensure that the Operating System is fully up to date, as well as the App. You could also try a full power reset to the Mobile device and the printer.

How can I change the fonts in "contacts" when printing mail labels

How can I change the fonts in "contacts" when printing mail labels ? I used to be able to do this but in Mavericks this ability seems to have gone away. Am I missing something ?

Actually in my case it doesn't work. I used to be able to pull up the font window with it but the button merely flickers when I click it. The image selection button and font color both are functional. WEIRD. I don't think this is a Mavericks issue as I recall having it come up with one of my user profiles before installing. Now I can't make it happen with either of my user profiles.
I don't seem to have printing issues in other applications. And I recently reset the fonts in a futile attempt to correct this.
I may post a new topic in Mail Contacts and Calendar if there is no response here after a bit.

Dual monitors: window size too large when opens in smaller monitor.

I use Windows 7 with two monitors. When I open Firefox directly from my desktop, it opens on the larger monitor, and the window size is just fine. But if I click a link from an email, Firefox opens in the second, smaller monitor, and the window is too large for that screen.
Please help me figure out how to either (a) make Firefox open with a smaller window; or (b) make Firefox open on the primary, larger monitor.

Iphone 4 AirPrint Font Too Large

Whenever I print something out on the iPhone 4 using airprint via Safari the font is way too large. What's up with that? It's basically useless.

What make and model printer are you using?
Is the problem happening with all websites or just a one or two websites?

please respond to me at {edited for privacy} my font in all the verizon email accounrts and the balance of the verizon places are all too large. please let me how to make the font smaller. i did go into my basic computer instructions and changed that to 'smaller - 100%', but it did not affect the verizon type font size. i am on a small netbook, ACER ASPIRE. thanks for any help. do respond b y email. philip {edited for privacy}

You have to change the zoom settings in internet explorer. I had previously sent you a private message so we can get your information and setup to connect to your computer to make the changes for you.

Top margin too big when printing to shared printer

We have a Canon Pixma iP6600D printer that is connected to an iMac on our home network and shared for printing with other macs in the house.
Suddenly, since a few days ago, any prints made from these other machines are printing with too large a top margin (i.e. the print starts too low on the page by about an inch), and so the bottom margin is consequently too narrow (and sometimes the ink even overflows past the bottom of the page).
When I attach the printer directly via USB to one of these machines then the printouts look just fine.
All the machines have OSX 10.7.2 installed.

This worked for me too, though I was in a rush and didn't really read what I was doing. This tip removes all printers configured on your Mac, not just the one that is selected. If you also connect to networked printers (not those with configured with Bonjour) or any other advanced printer, you'll want to write down any IP addresses or settings before proceeding. My guess is that simply removing and then adding the Bonjour printer again would also do the trick.

Font too large on main screen

I'm running Windows 7. I just installed iTunes 10.6.0.40. The font on the summary page is too large and I can't read all the info on that page.The other tabs are too large too but the info is smaller and can be read. How do I change this font size?

If you go into Options | Screen/Keyboard can you change the font to something else? Actually I'm not sure if that will change the home screen's font. Did other theme's have larger font's that you liked?

The options window is too large when it opens- i can't see the bottom-most options!

'''Size..Optimize..Restore''', are the only choices. I started FF in safe mode and was able to make the changes I needed. Move " doesn't help at all.
Being able to make the changes in safe mode leads me to believe one the the plug ins from the FF site is creating the issue...It's just way to large to move it so the bottom can be seen....Thanks for your attempt and time. :)
Oh..another thing. At times the top tabs are visible, and at other times, the bottom is visible.

FF window too large when using extended desktop. Must reboot to return to correct size when I return it to the main screen.

I watch on-line videos on my HDTV by using "extended desktop" and sliding the FF window to the HDTV. The window becomes too large to access the controls to size it, or the top bar, to move it.
I can move FF window back to my pc by minimizing it on the pc toolbar, but when I "restore" it, it restores to the HDTV. I can not move it back to the pc, I also cannot re-size the screen

Hello. Thank you all for giving my some advise but I do not understand any of it.
I'm a bit of a technophobe when it comes to computers.
It is a Sony Vaio and there is a model number on the base of the laptop PCG-71911M. I have tried to look in the Control Panel to see if I can find its specifications but these days the system is too complicated for me to understand.
I did try seek out the information on the internet but just get a French site. Doh!!!
I use Nikon View NX software when I am viewing my images and again if I go to full screen for viewing the image the taskbar 'occludes' the little arrows I use to view the next image. When this happens I just click the little box in the far right edge of the taskbar and ViewNX 'disappears'. When I go back in and click on 'show desktop' it clears the taskbar. I can then easily access the buttons to move forward. Also when I am using PSE8 I have the same problem with accessing the buttons after I have completed my raw adjustments in the ACR window but it allows me to press the buttons with great difficulty if I can 'catch' the edge of the button and the ACR goes into PSE8 properly. I'm sorry that I have not explained myself well. At the present it looks as if the ACR window is too 'large' for the PSC5 window it 'sits upon'. It seems that it does not want to 'sit over' the taskbar. I have eventually fathomed that I can use Cntl and O to open the image (Open Image button) but this is not the least bit satisfactory. I don't know how I am going to access the other options eg 'done' and 'cancel' and 'save image'.

Slide size too large when played via .htm file or in ELM

I have several modules that play perfectly fine from a computer or over the internet if you use the .swf file to launch them. The size of the slide automatically resizes to fit the launched browser window. However, if I try to open the file through the .htm file (as apparently our ELM does) the size of the slides is too large to fit within the browser window. Resizing the window doesn't help. With any module sized greater than 800 x 600, you cannot view the entire slide in the browser window. The bottom and right sides of the slide are cut completely off. Is there a fix for this, short of rescaling and redoing the entire module? The modules have been uploaded to our ELM, but the player controls are completely cut off by the restricted window size so you cannot advance the training.

I agree with BaseballBirch. The window size should be controllable in your Learning Management System or Content Management System (whatever your ELM is).
Most LMSs have the option to launch your content as a sub window of their player window, which has navigation links to enable users to launch each separate module. This option may mean that the user's overall screen resolution is insufficient to accommodate the entire interface. But LMSs usually also have another option that allows your Captivate content to be launched in a separate window. If so, this is usually the better way to go as it gives you more control over the size of the window.
One thing that LMSs differ in however is the way they calculate the size of this window. For some, you just enter the size of your Captivate movie stage and the LMS wraps the player window around these dimensions. In other LMSs you need to do some trial and error to work out what figures to enter into the LMS controls for height and width of the window because they include browser "chrome" and the dimensions of the window title bar and status bar. So you may have to add 50 or more pixels to height and 10 or more pixels to width to avoid cropping off your content.
You will need to use the HTM to launch the content. LInking to the SWF may cause some functionality in Captivate content to fail.

Email font too large

I set the "minimum font size" to small, but the font size is still way too big. How to I get a smaller font? It's pretty annoying not being able to see more of an email. Especially when having the phone horizontally, the "small" font is still huge.
We have such a super nice resolution screen and it would be really nice to take advantage of it.

When a message is composed in HTML, the sender controls the formatting. No setting on your iPhone can change the size of the text without pinching and zooming on the body of the email to make the text larger only. If the sender uses a large font for text, you can't reduce the size of the text any smaller than the size of the font chosen by the sender or how it is rendered.
When a message is composed in plain text, the recipient or you control the formatting with the minimum font size selection on your iPhone - Small, Medium, Large, Extra Large, Giant. When a sender uses plain text for message composition, the size of the text will be your chosen size for the minimum font size, which will be the same for every message received that is composed in plain text. If you want to make the text larger, you can zoom in on the text by pinching and zooming.
I want to be able to see more of the email at once. I want to take advantage of the nice high resolution screen on the iPhone 4.
You can do this if the sender uses plain text for message composition based on your minimum font size selection. All bets are off if the sender uses HTML for message composition since the sender controls the formatting when doing so.

Because it introduces accessibility problems. When you write in plain text, the receiving mail client renders the text in whatever font the reader chooses. When you format email with HTML, the sender controls the formatting. But this is a trap: You only think your message will render the same way to the viewer as it appears to the sender. In reality, the receiver can end up squinting because the font looks so tiny, or vice versa. HTML is not rendered the same way from one viewing client to the next - all guarantee of accessiblity goes out the window.
