Font Uploading uisng SE73

Hi
Hi Guru's, I would like to know how to upload font in SAP. I tried in some
ways but not succeeded. In SE73 you need to Font Family in order to get
effect in entire system.
Trying to upload the TROY IMAGE 201.
It is unsuccesful and message is "Eror Licensing : True type font must not be embedded".
Has anybody tried to upload any font in SAP before. Any other successful
method or attempt is appreciated.

    In my point of view, target conversion font datas are fill in function module 'LOAD_PRINTER'.
    These are importing from data cluster.
    But how configure these data ?
    Anyone have a idea ?

  • Font upload in SAP

    Can you please provide me with the steps required to upload a true type font in SAP.
    I have tried using transaction SE73 but somehow i do not get the desired effect of the fonts when viewed through the output of a smart form.
    A document detailing this subject would be helpfule if you could direct me to a link.

    HI,
    Lets suppose that u want to upload the verdana font.
    goto se73 transaction
    click the system font radio button
    now click the last button true-type font installrein
    u will be asked to enter the family name
    give ZVERDANA
    Now u need to upload 4 files
    Normal
    Bold
    Bold-italic
    and italic
    while uploading the normal verdana do not check any boxes
    execute the program and u will be prompted for the file
    u can get it from c\windows\fonts
    type in the file name which will be verdana.ttf
    now the normal font is uploaded
    for uploading bold, check the bold check box and upload verdanab.ttf
    same is for italic and bold italic
    Each time u try to add a new file to same name ZVERDANA it will prompt u. Click the Y button to include the 4 files under the same name ZVERDANA

    Can anyone suggest me how to upload/install Fonts in SAP 4.5B system.
    We are unable to use using the Tcode se73. The program Rstxsf01 also not available in 4.5B system.
    Please provide me the solution to upload new font to use in sap script (4.5B version system).

  • PDF convertion - hebrew font upload problem

    Hello,
    I am trying to define hebrew support to pdf convertion according to note 569404 - but whenever i try to run the RSTXPDF2 report - instead of getting the browse window to choose from where i upload the fonts - the report directly goes to the end and has the error message - could not open file - i was'nt given the opportunity to choose one - on the DEvelopment and QA system i didn't have problems like that.
    I found that whenever in the first time you enter the above report - rstxpdf2 and run it - it opens a custom sap browse window to browse the local station and to choose the appropriate file - but if press on the cancel button - the window goes to the end of the report with the message file could not be opened - and from now on this is the result when i try to run the report - i don't get again the custom sap browse window to browse the local station and to choose the appropriate file

    Check your user own data ...delete own data at the before runing the report.

  • Add new font in smartform - SE73

    Hi All.
    We want to use VERDANA font for our smartform. It is not available by default.
    Can we upload it and use it? Our basis team says it has license issue. Is that true?
    If no, how can we go about doing it?

    You can of course upload a new font, and as I'm aware there's no licence impact.

  • How to print true type font in smartform with ECC6

    hi,expert:
    I want to use true type font "Comic Sans MS.ttf".
    I upload this font file by SE73 named ZTT2I.
    In SE73.. select the Radio button "Font Families" And click on the "True type Font Installation" button. click the font attribute ITALIC。
    Our print device is LP01 and driver is CNSAPWIN
    when I create a new style in smartform using the font ZTT, in preview window the font still like other font.
    Our system is IDES ECC6, SAP_BASIS SAPKB70014
    Now when I create smartfrom in language EN adn logon with language EN,it can print correct style of that font.
    But if the smartform is base on language ZH or logon with language ZH, the output is not correct.
    why? How to solve it?

    Hi,
    Is the problem that uploaded true type font ZTT is not used when language is ZH? Did you update the chinese version of the style associated with the smartform? There is a separate style for each language version. So you need to log on in Chinese language and update the style with new paragraph, character formats. Then you need to activate the style and smartform for ZH langauge also.

    the ABAP forum administrator take this question to netweaver forum.
    Now when I create smartfrom in language EN，it can output correct style of that font.
    But if the smartform is base on language ZH, the output is not correct.
    why? How to solve it?

    I hope you experts can help me out with the following issue:
    With the IC_MANAGER business role it's possible to create/maintain mail forms. To do this, go to "Knowledge Management" in the left menu and after that select Mail Forms.
    In here you can maintain your mail forms. I want to extend the font types. Now I only have the font types: Times New Roman, Arial and Courier. I want to extend thist list with 'Verdana'.
    Does anybody know how this works?

    1. Upload the TrueType font through transaction SE73 in the backend system.
    2. Maintain the table TBTFFONTMAP throught transaction SM30
    Logon to the webclient and you should be able to use the newly installed font.

  • Font size incorrect when printing smartform

    Hi,
    I have a smartform containing many smaller windows with frames. One big window should show a word in grey and in big letters behind all the other windows.
    In my smartstyles, I have used the font family "HELVE", font style bold and the size 72. When I print to a sap printer device, the word is printed in very small letters and in black. When I´m printing about LOCL and then on the same printer, the fontsize is correct.
    What can I do to change that?
    The second problem is, that the letters are shown over the frames of the other windows, but it should be completely in the background. I put the window with the backgorund letters as the first window on the screen to get it behind all others, but it´s not working....

    go to control panel , in tat go to font and select your desired font file..
    now give the path of this font file in se73..
    after doing that this file will be uploaded into ur SAP server.

  • Font while printing Smartform

    Hi All,
    I have a requirement where i need to display Large Font size in Smartform. I am able to display the same for the PRINTER in print preview.
    But when i print the smartform, the font is printed in very small size.
    I think it is because the printer is not supporting the font.
    Please let me know the workaround for such problem.

  • Missing Font while Printing

    Hi guys,
    I know this should be a usual problem. I did a search and did not find any conclusive info.
    I have a PDF made in InDesing. I do think I have the fonts right. The Helvetica Heavy and Garamond prints right but the Helvetica Light doesn’t appear at all.

    Here is the print of the Font Properties, I don’t know why the Helvetica Light has this Identity-H in the list.
    As you can see in the list is an Embedded Subset as all the other fonts.

  • Set TrueType font as Default

    We have uploaded a new font (Verdana) via se73 (Install TrueType Fonts) and made an entry in the table TBTFFONTMAP. Now in the CRM Interaction Center when creating a new email or replying to an existing email we are able to choose this new font. However we would like to set this font as a default, so that whenever you create a new email or answer an email per default it takes this Verdana font. So far we have only seen the possibility to change the Internet Settings (Internet Options -> Lettertypes/ Fonts). However if we change the settings here we are not able to choose the size of the font, so it takes the size (size 12) of the current default which is Times New Roman and this is too big for Verdana.
    Has anyone found out already how to change the default font of the email editor?

    Sorry for the late response,
    I started again with a fresh install of Windows Vista and again the same problem appears.
    So to resume:
    Open a new package
    Go to the registry menu.
    Add manually (with several right clicks New-> key) the following tree:
    HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Print\Printers\Adobe PDF
    Drag the "Default DevMode" binary value (REG_BINARY) from my computer into the "Adobe PDF" key of the destination computer.
    Save the project
    Click on the Summary button crashed the wizard
    In my opinion it is the REG_BINARY string length that cause the problem, I try with other long binary value from other key and it always give the same result -> Wizard crash. I also try with small binary value and these don't gives the problem (for example the "HKCU\Control Panel\Appearance\SchemeLangID" has a small value 09 04 and doesn't give the wizard crash).
    Other thing with the binary value is that you can only create empty one, they cannot be modified, so you are obliged to install acrobat pro in order to be able to drag them from my computer to destination computer registry.
    I will try with acrobat X and the related wizard next week.

    Hello Nuno,
    Just try this:
    First you have to upload your .ttf font by using se73 transaction.
    Then you must map it, using this tables:
    SAP: TBTFFONTMAPDEF
    Customer: TBTFFONTMAP
    Just add a line in customer table TBTFFONTMAP with your font (or existing one), and the language that will be used by the users (It accepts wildcard * for all languages)
    And it's done.

  • Problem with font-family name

    I have adobe Univers LT Std font purchased and installed on my PC, but there is a problem when I try to use it on the webpage. The font has otf format. I noticed that Chrome and FireFox use different font-family names for this font. FireFox 25.0 seems to use OT Family name (Univers LT Std) as a font-family value, and Chrome 30 uses PS font name (UniversLTStd). So I ended up writing my css like this:
    p {
    font-family: UniversLTStd, Univers LT Std;
    Is there a way to avoid writing multiple family names for a single font to work in different browsers?
    I've checked the font's attributes with FontLab Studio:
    Basic set of font names:
    Family name: Univers LT Std 55
    PS font name: UniversLTStd
    Full name: Univers LT Std 55 Roman
    Menu name: Univers LT Std 55
    FOND name: Univers LT Std 55
    OpenType-specific names:
    OT Family name: Univers LT Std
    OT style name: 55 Roman
    Mac name: Univers LT Std 55
    But didn't find any universal name to use as a font-family.

    Hello Ragu,
    Newly created font family for FR is ZNGO (Similiar to Gothic font). I can see this font family via SE73.
    If I execute the script for FR language output is porpor.
    Now, we have added 2 more countries UK and Germany. So client wants ouput exactly in the same way as that of FR. So I am using ZNGO in paragraph formats. But output for FR an EN doses not contain this font family. I think when script is called in EN and DE language, somehow it does not detect ZNGO font family.
    So my question is (again) whether font famliy is langauage dependent? If yes, then how to change/view languages for font family. is there any option in SE73 or any other transaction? If not, then why am i facing this problem?
