Fontproblem since CS5

Hello,
we are using Illustrator CS5 since a few weeks and we had a huge problem with the font Arial Unicode MS.
Cyrillic words are cutted not normaly, so we had big mistakes in our designs.
Before we upgrade to CS5 we use CS3 and it worked perfect with this font.
Does anybody know this problem/mistakes in Illustrator in access with Arial Unicode MS?

They upgraded the text engine in CS4. I do nto use arial unicode mS , but the major problem I have as a result was that type on a path shifts position. Usually fixed easily by clicking on the type, say yes to update to the new text engine, and manually adjusting position.
Do you still have cs3 loaded on the same computer, does it work fine? This will tell me if the problem can be solved by swapping for the MS Office or the Mac OS 10.5 version of Arial Unicode MS.
There is a bug with diacritic, but sounds like all your letters are cut of, anyway good reading:

Issue with '&' becoming '&amp' since CS5 install?

This is very odd. We installed CS5 creative suite on the family PC yesterday and since then we have noticed on certain site sites (mainly Flash) that were there is a '&' we are now seeing '&' ??
We have a laptop which is seeing this fine it seems to be since we installed CS5, its the same in IE8 and Chrome anyone have any ideas how to fix this as its really annoying?

I was having the same problem installing Flash 10 for Firefox
and getting the "Insufficient Disk Space" message. I believe this
happens to people whose main local disks have a name other than
"C:" Mine is "G:" I think the problem is that its an install
package that automatically tries to install it on a C: local disk
directory. There is no option to manually install it to a different
directory, so we seem to be out of luck.

Has the page ordering changed since cs5 or is something amiss with my cs6?

Right i hope i explain this correctly
in my old cs5 the page ordering displayed like so in the pages panel:
1
2-3
4-5
6-7
and so on
but in cs6 its like this
1
3-2
5-4
7-6
and so on
so basically all documents when exported are in the wron order!!!
is this new and correct or is something wron here? sure seems that way. can anyone help me fix this annoying issue?

Premier,After Effects CS5.5 or 6 MPEG 2 Problem

When using After Effects or Premier CS5.5 or 6 everytim I render an uncompressed video using MPEG2 the final product has a 1 sec pause or studder in the middle of the playback. The original video is uncompressed and looks fine. But this does not happen when using CS4 products only CS5.5 or 6. I have tried 5 windows operating systems and 3 types of media players and it is not my operating system. As of now I cant use the new CS5.5 or 6 Adobe products due to this problem.

Hi, sorry for my english. This problem is since cs5, whether imported from the Timeline or an uncompressed format. I have tried to change the settings and only in some cases delayed the pause or studder to another time in the video. The only way to fix it has been exporting an uncompressed avi and make the MPEG2 into ProCoder or Sorenson Squeeze

CS5.5 on Mountain Lion (PowerPC error)

Hellow all, I'm hoping someone might be able to advise me on this.
I am installing CS5.5 Design Premium on Mac OSX v10.8.2 Mountain Lion. The Mac is mid-2011 3.1GHz Intel Core i5. The problem is I keep receiving the error message "You can't open the application "install" because PowerPC applications are no longer supported." This is strange since CS5.5 is not a PowerPC application.
I have tried the script provided by adobe to remove the preference for launching CS in rosetta, however since it is not installed yet, it is having no effect.
I am installing off a USB stick provided to me by a reseller who provided me with a legitimate activation key. I have tried installing both from the USB stick directly and off the Mac desktop.
Adobe's customer support say to contact either Apple or the reseller and won't provide me with an alternative link to download a fresh version of CS5.5. They also say that installing it from any other media won't work as it is an OEM activation key.
If anyone has any ideas at this point I'd be very glad of them!

Thanks Bob,
I have already started the download from that site. I seem to have found that the software provided to me has become decompressed either before it was supplied or maybe at my end. So rather than just 1 DMG file to install, I have 3 folders and 1 file named "Install". When I click" Install" I receive the error as above. I would imagine that when I go to install the new downloaded version it will be OK.
I am now just waiting on the 1mb internet connection to finish the download!

Win 7 pro on dell t1500 i7, but cs5 AE installed as 32-bit?

I have a nice box and os and thought it would be no problem. Bought and installed cs5 premium, upgraded to 5.5...
I load a project from work on my machine at home today and AE says the project was created with After Effects version 10.5 (windows 64) and I see that my AE is version 10.0.x.x.
Why the heck would a 32 bit version be installed on my machine. I'm sure I would have selected 64 bit if the option was presented to me. Is there a way to upgrade it or reinstall it so it knows that any apps which come with cs5 premium get installed as 64 bit? At work we run cs5.5 for sure but my home version still says CS5 on the splash and on the 'about' screen.
Let me look and make sure I actually installed the 5.5. Not sure if it was automated as an update.
Ok, i see in My Products and Services that I do have Production Premium 5.5... There is no download button showing anywhere. Where can I re-download it?

Huh? You misunderstand that warning. It merely tells you that the project has been created in a different version of AE. All versions of AE are 64bit ever since CS5, so that is not the issue. For your download, try this:

Windows cannot find c:\Program files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS5.1 64bit\Photoshop exe. Make sure you typed the name correctly. This error comes up and I can't get photos (raw) to open from bridge. Also I have Photoshop CC not CS5.1as error states.

It sounds like your windows registry is messed up. That you may have had cs5 at one time and upgraded to cs6 than got a subscription and installed Photoshop CC. You than followed that with an uninstall of CS6 which backed out its registry update and restored windows registry Photoshop.exe key to what it replaced your old CS5 path. Since CS5 is no longer on you machine you get that message. Use regedit search for key Photoshop.exe and correct the path to Photoshop CC 2014...

Adobe Photoshop CS5 - Save As TARGA missing!

Hello helpful people!
I'm by no means a photoshop expert, but I've done some research about this problem of mine and I can't make any sense out of it.
I'm using Photosho CS5 (64 Bit) and for some reason the "Save As..." dialog does not have the TARGA file option.
I checked some other posts and articles across these forums and through some broader searches, but nothing helped me out.
I understand that CS5 came with a built-in TGA saving option rather than requiring a plug-in, as previous versions had required.
I understand that a TGA should be saved in 8-bit RGB mode (which is what my file is in anyway, since it's designed to go into 3DS Max as a texture)
Despite all this, and numerous restarts and verifying that I was up-to-date on the current patch, I still can't add .tga to any of my files
I've definitely got the mode set right... but then, in the "Save As..." window:
No TARGA (*.tga) option
Since CS5 is supposed to have .tga capabilities built into to the program, and not need an add-on, I wasn't surprised to see that the File Formats folders in both my Program Files and Program Files (x86) directories didn't have the targa.8bi file.
So my question to you knowledgeable folks is this...
How do I restore my ability to Save As a TARGA?

A number of formats that used to be available via separate plug-ins have been moved into Photoshop proper. CS5 does not come with a Targa.8BI file like its predecessors did.
Looks like you're missing some other formats (BMP, CompuServ GIF, PNG), and have one extra (Dicom) that I don't have.
Here's my list (I've added Genuine Fractals):
Edit: I've done more research... The Dicom format is only available in Photoshop Extended, which is why I don't have it.
Have you installed any other format plug-ins?
Do you, by chance, have your Additional Plug-Ins Folder (in Edit - Preferences - Plug-ins) pointed at a plug-ins folder from an older version of Photoshop?

what ever you ask for above 1 copy of an image you do not get it..
you ask for 5 you get 1 you ask for 8 you get 1.. sometimes you get the leftover amount from the previous image printed on the new image..
adobe support has no idea about this problem..I'm assuming most people print one image and they don't recognize the problem since CS5 is just on the market... try print multiple copies and see what happens?

The solution is purported to be to get a driver update.
Since the problem seems to be a "delay" or "staging" of the values being sent to the driver through some intermediate location, a workaround has been proposed that may be helpful. This may depend on the printer driver:
1. Set the copy count you want.
2. Hit the Print Settings... button.
3. Go into the Printer Driver setup screens and verify the copy count.
4. Then do the print.

Since CS5 and been superseded by CS6 (and now version CC in the Cloud), your options are
to crossgrade to CS6 (which is still available to purchase), or
join the Cloud and get Photoshop CC.

Flash CS5 custom component

I have a problem since I improved my version of Flash (CS3 to CS5). I created a component in which there are several parameters. My problem concerns parameters which are "Number" type. It appears to no longer be managed the same way since CS5. Indeed, if I pass a value greater than 1, the value retrieved in actionscript is 0. It seems that the values of "Number" type for CS5 should be as follows 0 <= x < 1.
Is this a bug? How to pass a value greater than 1 (eg: 800) ?

I would if we could - but we need support for unicode characters. Our primary language is Nepali using the Devanagari script, which is not supported by Classic Text (the written language is all about complex ligatures - often up to five multibyte characters are rendered as one).

Script Versioning InDesign CS5 (INX-Export)

Dear all,
I am currently encountering a problem with Script Versioning or -- perhaps I don't understand the purpose of Script Versioning...
In CS4 I wrote a Visual Basic Script (see below) that exports INX of the current document to disk. Since CS5 no longer supports INX I thought to use Script Versioning to "simulate" CS4, but obviously that doesn't seem to work. As I have several Scripts to be converted to CS5 I am interested in the constraints using Script Versioning concerning the object model.

The reason inx doesn't work, is because it's not a supported feature any more. It has nothing to do with the scripting DOM specifically. Versioning only effects how the scripting DOM interacts with the C++ layer. It can't add missing features...
Think of it as a translation dictionary.

What is the proper procedure dor uninstalling and reinstalling CS5 extended?

I downloaded some trial plugins and then removed them and ever since, CS5 is not working well. Sometimes when I open it and go to file open to open an image, everything is grayed out and I have to close down and re-launch. When I open an image and want to look at the file info, everything freezes and I have to use task manager to close down photoshop. As well, my bridge is not working correctly. I want to uninstall and then reinstall, but I thought that somewhere that I read there are specific ways to do that or else the program thinks you're trying to load it on another computer..? Thanks for any help and dircetions/instructions that you can give me.

As a test, and perhaps an alternative to Uninstallin and Reinstalling PS CS 5, if you are on a PC, check to see if you have a System Restore Point, prior to the installation of those trials. If you do, then first - create a new System Restore Point for today, and then boot to Safe Mode. There, you should be presented with the option to Restore the System. Navigate to that System Restore Point, prior to the trails, and choose it. The system will then ask to be rebooted, after a few moments. Do so, and then test PS. Does that fix things?
On a Mac, I think that the equivilent of System Restore is something like Time Machine, but do not know if that is part of the Mac OS, or an add-on product.

Have you tried to manually update the individual programs?
All updates start here and select product, read to see if you need to install updates in number order, or if the updates are cumulative for the individual product http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates/
