Fonts and object help

Well I added an object - one that looks like a text baloon - like one that wo9uld appear in comic books o denote who is saying wha
well I have downloaded a font and installed it with font book. I can use that font in Pages.
Ill sidetrack to tell you what the problem is.
In MS Word I an drag an object to the desktop and it creates a picture of the object. Then I import that picture of the object - which is nothing but the object itself into flash 8 for me to work with it.
Well since Pages is the only application that can use the font I installed through font book dragging to the desktop didnt work. However I can drag it in to flash 8 and it becomes an object to be used.
However the object has a solid black background outside of the ovalish text balloon.
Does anyone know how to change that to clear or white?

The best way to "export" objects from Pages to other apps is to copy them. Than start Preview and choose the first menu item under "File". You can save this graphic as a vector file (PDF) or as bitmap files (like PNG, JPG or others). A PDF will have a transparent surrounding. Unfortunately bitmap images with the possibility of transparency like TIFF or PNG will have no transparent surrounding. But when you paste the object to Photoshop, you have transparency.
You can try to paste the copied object from Pages to other apps. But I don't know which of them will accept it.

You can use "Ctrl +" and "Ctrl -" to zoom pages quickly and "Ctr 0" (zero) to reset the page zoom.

How to generate a report with Courrier font and no horizontal lines?

Hi guys,
In a wizard-generated report, I want to accomplish the following things.
1. Print table data (I'm only printing one column) in a non-proportional font (e.g. Courrier).
2. Suppress the vertical lines that Apex automatically puts in between each record.
How can these two things be accomplished?

Fair enough. I'll try to be more specific. Assume you're running a query from SQL Developer on a single column from a single table. In the table, the data is already formatted to be displayed using a non-proportional font (old-time religion here). SQL Developer will show the contents of the column formatted exactly like the author intended (non-proportional font and no "helpful" horizontal lines between the rows). That's exactly what I want Apex to do. In the rectangular area that Apex creates for the report contents display, I want Apex to show the rows from that table in a non-proportional font with no horizontal lines between the rows. The report query will be just about as simple as possible (i.e. select col1 from tab1 order by col 2). How should I go about achieving this result?

Slow to open and in force quit "Photoshop not responding" At this point should I uninstall and start over.

I'm using Mac OS 10.6.8 with Firefox 7.0.1. In the past hour or so my fonts on nearly all webpages have turn to a bold san serif font and I can't figure out how to change them back to a thinner font. Can anyone help?

Hi! It sounds like you might have accidentally changed the default font. You should take a look at the Knowledge Base article [[Changing fonts and colors#os=mac&browser=fx7]]. It should give you all the steps you need to change it back. Another possible scenario is that you accidentally increased the font size. This might give the appearance that all the text is in bold. You can find the details in [[How do I use Zoom?]] Since this can be done through a keyboard shortcut, it might be worth a look. I know I've accidentally changed the font size myself a few times.

If this were a project that I was involved in, I would recapture the media at the correct frame rate and rebuild the sequences correctly.
Moving from production, to post production, to delivery is a series of steps, and the success of any particular step is based on having all the preceding steps done correctly.
Shortcuts and workarounds tend to create awkward and difficult problems, that often only surface late in the process.

Fonts and graphics are slightly "fuzzy". Colors are not correctly displaying. Help?

After Mavericks installation on my Macbook Pro mid-2012 (non-retina), the fonts appear slightly fuzzy, the graphics seems less crisp and the colors are just "off". This issue seems to be system wide but is much worse whilst using Safari for some reason. (Safari 7.0)
Please advise and thanks in advance for any and all help/suggestions!

Need help w/ created classes and objects

I am having a difficult time understanding what is wrong w/ my classes and objects. I've looked in two books and have messed around a bit. Here is what I am -attempting- to do.
I want to make a class called CLOTHING. In this class i want objects such as shirt and pants (for now).
these are the errors im getting:

I guess, public Shirt(int size) is constructor in class shirt. You have one int in this constructor. Shirt(int size)
Here you initialize your shirt with two int:

Shirt(int size, int what?)
It's why it show such message.
But even if you fix it seems like you have very vague ideas about what you are doing.
As far as I understood you need three classes.
First applet Clothing:

Second and third your classes Shirt and Pants:

same for Pants, only you need two parameters for it or whatever you want.
You could design it diffrently if you want derive your Shirts and Pants from Clothing and then to use them in your applet. But, indeeed, you desperately have to do some serious reading, where authors are accurate in they definitions and stuff, because it's kind of complicated.

I want to return the output of this query using one OUT parameter
from the procedure using RECORD type or OBJECT type.
with out using refcursor.

Let us assume the query is returning 50 records.
I want to send those 50 records to OUT parameter using record type or object type.

If you want to change the fonts of the entire page then this code will do the trick:

If you want to change the fonts of ALL tables on a page then the code is something like this:

If you have Final Cut Studio, there are two extra disks labelled "Live Type Media".
If you have Final Cut Express, Look on your Installer disk, the media files should be on there.
