Fonts error occurred in Acrobat 7.0

We have been using Acrobat Professional 7.0 Mac version. We had an issue below while working on the PDF.
1. We have received 2 sets of PDF for the same chapter with comments. One is from Author and rest from PR.
2. We need to export the comments from Author PDF and Import the same into PR PDF.
3. We need to collate these comments and make it as one PDF.
While doing this process we had a fonts issue raised as the attached screenshot indicate for you. The same issue was occurred repeatedly if any PDF has opened through this Acrobat.
Even the same error occurred after we reinstalled the Acrobat Professional 7.0 on the same system. We didn’t have a problem if the similar PDF file could open in other system. Kindly help me anyone to resolve this issue.

Sorry, I do not have access to Acrobat 7. This could be a bug in Acrobat 7. There were so many changes in the product over the last 10 years. Reader 11.0.7 opened signing for non-Reader-extended PDFs. Could you switch to Reader 11.0.7, which is free, for your signing?

The same version having issue in the multiple OS installed computers.
    Thanks in advance.

Since you did not say, I will assume you are running on Win 7, possibly X64. The first step to 10.0 is to do the updates and see if that resolves your issue. There is a good chance that is the problem.
OK, taking the long approach to find out your OS, it is XP, sp3. In any case, the first step is to do your updates and see if that resolves the issue. It is a waste of time to trouble shoot something that may have already been fixed.

  • "a drawing error occurred"

I have been getting the message "a drawing error occurred" in Acrobat 9 Pro for no reason I can think of. Some pdf files are okay, others are not. I have to use Reader 9 to see the files Pro 9 will not open. Anyone with an idea on how to track the error - could it be a corrupt plug-in? Any clue appreciated as I am clue-less.

    " An internal error occurred."
I tried to install it into my old iMac 2010 and it works fine. Below are system information of my 2 x iMac, can anyone give me some advises? Thank you.

    Hi yang2898,
If the installation went ok and you are unable to launch Acrobat then this might be due to licensing issue.
Please check if you have full read/ write permissions to the following folders:
    [Home]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/SLStore
    [Home]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/SLCache
    [Home]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/AdobePCD
You might also want to check in the root user account of Mac (Enabling and using the "root" user in Mac OS X - Apple Support)

  • Acrobat 9 Pro  " An error occurred while sending mail"

    Dear Gurus:
Free ice cream to the person with the answer that works.      I use Vista OS, 32 bit;    IE (Primary) and Mozilla;   Outlook E-mail (primary) and Windows Mail.  The preceding has been the case for the last two years so "nothing has changed".    I used Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro for two years and designed a number of interactive forms and used the functionality as much as possible.   Overall a good experience with Pro 9
Case in point, I designed an interactive employment application that was regularly used, updated and re-released over a period of about two years without incident.  It was set up to be completed online by employment applicants.  Once completed, they would click to  "e-mail the office"  the completed application then close the document.    It was set up with the button to send a form, and more precisely to send the form as .FDF to the mailto: address#1; address #2.   Again it worked fine using either Mozilla or IE until last week.      As usual, I made some minor edits to the existing body fields and left the buttons alone sine there was no need to bother them.
I emailed  the revised  .PDF document to   "the web guy" who added it to the website- like all the times before.     I went online to  "test it" as usual so I filled it out.   When I click the button to send form to office, the option comes up to select the email client.   I use Outlook so I selected "Desktop E-mail Application",  click  OK  and then I immediately get the message  "An error has occurred while sending mail".      In the past without fail, the Outlook would open after 1-3 seconds and attach the   .FDF file with the normal  .FDF and data jargon.  no problem...      Also, I am aware of extending features to Reader and the licensing issue, but I doubt that is an issue.....
So, before I posted here I tried a few things:
A-  I tried opening the source  .PDF application locally on my PC and filled it out. I clicked the button to "sent the file" to myself.    To be clear this was not posted on the website, but it did open Outlook, create the email, add the .FDF and sent it to me.       HHHMMMM so it works locally....
B-  Next, I started fresh with a blank adobe document page and added two items:  1- a text field and a new email submit button I created to send the data via FDF.    I set it up, it worked fine when I tested it locally on the PC and created the .FDF file and the Outlook email and I sent it to myself.     Then  I took this same little test file and added it to a different website I have access to, I re-published the site,  ccessed the form and  no dice......    I got the same message,  " an error occurred while sending mail"  when I clicked OK to use the Desktop Email Application.
C- I read other posts and Googled for about 6 hours yesterday and  now I am missing clumps of hair.
So, it seems something "happened" that will not let the email be created from an existing form; or a NEW form that are available for use on a website;  but BOTH  work just fine if accessed on a local PC.
    Please , and thank you..
    Brian P.

    Hi Bill,
Thank you for your follow up.       I'm not sure what you mean by,  "did I do a comparison to the original".    If you're asking whether I'm sure the .PDF and the .FDF are the "same" documents, they are...  however the problem is even if they were entirely different forms, my issue is once the submit form button is clicked, Outlook fails to initialize and attach the   .FDF file .
I mentioned how I tried to recreate the "error" by building a new form from scratch in order to eliminate all the possible variables of having a bug in the form that had been updated so many times before without incident.   Even with the new form having just one text field and one submit form button,  it worked as needed when I used the .PDF file locally right from my PC by  filling out the field and submitting the form's  .FDF data to myself.      It opened the Outlookprogram, created the mail and attached the .FDF file.     I clicked "send" and away it goes  from "me" to "me" and I was able to open the email, click the .FDF then browse to the .PDF source form so the files could extract into the   .PDF.    All normal and all Okay ,  like 100 times before using the WEB, but not now... .
Today,  even that simple form with one field and one submit button encounters the same  "An error has occurred while sending mail"  message upon clicking on the web based submit button.     The option comes up to let me select the email server and when I click  "OK" , the error notice comes up...    grrrrrrrrrrrrr
In short, when the form is used in a website environment, it doesn't want to create the outgoing email with the .FDF file attachment.      Normally, it worked like a peach.
    ?? I dunno

  • "Internal error occurred" when launching Acrobat Pro X (AAMEE 3.1.150.0)

AAMEE 3.1.105.0 generated packages run fine when pushed to Macs that do not have an existing previous version of CS.
However, if pushed to a Mac that has CS4 installed, CS6 installs but Acrobat Pro X will not launch ("Internal error occurred").
We are using the latest Adobe CS6 Design & Web Premium installer DMGs from licensing.adobe.com and we are following the standard workflow.
I know Adobe's position is "We don't recommend or support concurrent installs of Creative Suite" (I get that).
Since OS X lacks package management (ala Yum, RPM, etc.), the term "Uninstall" is vague, but we appreciate Adobe's "cleaner tool".
Unfortunately the "cleaner tool" is only marginally effective, it leaves a mess behind.
And...when "cleaner tool" is used to remove CS4, it whacks CS6.
Wait...it gets worse...when "cleaner tool" is used, we now can't push our CS6 package to the Mac...we get...<drumroll>..."Internal error occurred" when launching Acrobat Pro X.
Someone shoot me...please put me out of my misery.
Why can't deploying CS6 be as simple as...
    http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3938350&CAWELAID=479925582
    Don

OK, we resolved the issue. Apparently there was a ~/Library/ColorSync folder present, not owned by the logged in user, and the logged in user had no access. Given OS X's domain model, it looks like Acrobat Pro X looks at that folder when it launches, even though it doesn't need to, and it can't get into it, so it tosses up the error.
Removing the folder (since it's not needed) resolves the issue. If the folder was needed, we would change ownership and permissions so Acrobat Pro X could access it.
    Problem solved.
    Thanks,
    Don

  • Acrobat 9 – An error occurred

    Hi I'm running up-to-date system 10.6.5, acrobat 9 and latest Office 2011.
When I use the comments/attach for email review from Acrobat it gives an error "An error occurred while trying to create a mail document.  Acrobat is unable to complete your request." Acrobat opens Outlook but can't produce the automated email with the attached PDF etc.
Outlook (14.0.2) is working as the default email program.
Anyone know what else I can try?
    Thanks

    Sure,  sorry about that.

I do not think that AA X is compatible with the newest versions of OFFICE and such. Your only choice is to print to the Adobe PDF printer or use the MS plugins to create PDFs.

  • I was almost finished installing a trial of Acrobat XI when with 2 seconds left, an error occurred

    Hi Bettyanne,
Please let me know the OS you are using and the exact error message that apeared.
If the files have already been downloaded then try running the setup.exe file to see if the installation initiates.
You might want to retry the download and check again.

  • Error 1935:  An error occured during the installation of assemble component. Acrobat XI

I currently have Acrobat Professional 9.5.4 loaded and attempted to load Acrobat Professionl XI on a Windows 7 box.  When I do, I receive the below error:
          Error 1935:  An error occured during the installation of assemble component.  {76C3F0F6-9B9D-35DA-81C6-CA8A88CC93CA}
I've tried a few things to resolve the issued with no success.  I've tried:
    1)  setting the RegistrySizeLimit to 4294967295
    2)  Installed .net Framework 4.5  (upgraded from 4.0)
    3)  Clearing the transaction log via command prompt (admin level)
I have over 20 users that need the program and performing a new OS load is not an option.
    Heeeeelp!!!!!

If you had to activate AA 9, deactivate it before proceeding, then uninstall it (though the install should also do that). Then run http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html to clean up the registry for Acrobat. Also, remove any left over parts of the Acrobat folder. Reboot and do an install. Be sure to log in as the administrator and disable anti-virus. Maybe these steps will help. Let us know what else you run into. After the install (if successful), you will need to install the updates. Best to use the Help>Updates if possible.

    HELP!

    Hi Sukrit,
Am also facing the same issue.
I get below error messages when i open a PDF.
    "An internal error occured"

After renaming my MAC hard drive, Acrobat, Illustrator and Bridge fail to launch. Acrobat returns the error message "An internal error occurred". I've checked this out and it seems related to user permissions. The version is Acrobat X. My machine has multiple user accounts. Any help would be appreciated. I renamed the drive to its original name but to no effect. RR

    I resolved the issue.
The problem is indeed a permissions issue with the Adobe Application Support folder.
First, in MAC OS Lion the ~/Library/ folder is hidden by default. You must unhide it in order to proceed. (if it is already visible in your ~/User/ folder, proceed to Step 4.)
    Next launch the Terminal application.
At the command line, paste the following command line: chflags nohidden ~/Library/
    Go to /Users/youruserid/Library/Application Support/Adobe
Get info on the ~/Adobe folder and reset your permissions to read/write and apply to all enclosed folders
    Problem solved. RR

  • "an internal error occured", acrobat reader X

    I have Windows 7, running 64  bit.
Recently I tried to download a PDF file, and the message "an internal error occured" came up.  The website that I tired to download it from then wants to shut down.  I tired to download another pdf file from an email and I get the same thing, "an internal error occured".
I have scanned my computer for viruses, uninstalled and reinstalled reader X, have also tried to repair it.  NO change.  I have seen similar threads, but the responce was not helpful and did nothing for my problem.  That thread remains unanswered.
About 4 weeks ago, I had a problem with my wife's account no being seen on start up, and fixed it after scanning and removing a virus.  Not sure if this problem has started since then.
Any help direction would be appreciated.

    Thanks for the clarification.
I could see that your application was crashing after receiving the error message. Would it be possible for you to get me the crash dump for the said issue so that I can have a look. You can follow the below mentioned steps to get the same:
        1. Install WinDbg from http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/devtools/debugging/installx86.mspx
        2. Launch WinDbg via the shortcut
        3. Click File->Open Executable
        4. Select AcroRd32.exe from "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Reader 10.0\Reader\AcroRd32.exe" and hit "OK"
        5. Remember to press "g" and hit enter when you encounter the first breakpoint and then you will see a text "Debuggeee is running" and Reader will be launched
        6. Open whatever file is it that produces the crash in Reader.
        7. When you have successfully reproduced the sceanrio causing the crash/freezing of Adobe Reader X, enter the below command in the WinDbg terminal
        .dump /ma c:\temp.dmp (Hit enter)
        8. This will produce the crash dump at C:\ by the name of temp.dmp
Could you please upload the dump (compress the dump using WinZip or likewise) at some site and provide the link for the same.
