Fonts get disables after restart.

I'm having a strange issue with my Macbook Pro where almost all of my fonts in Font Book get disabled every time I restart my computer. Even if I reactivate them, and restart again, they revert back. I can't seem to find any information on why this is happening.

Sounds like a corrupt font database. Restart in safe mode. That flushes the database and font caches. Restart normally and reset everything with Font Book.

On every sytem start/restart I have all fonts in Library/Fonts folder disabled. Safe boot, cache cleaning etc. didn't help. Any help, please? It's quite annoying.

Wow. I just called Adobe customer support, was on hold for 15 minutes, finally got an attendant in another country, then within 60 seconds was inadvertently(?) disconnected.

"Play stereo audio as mono" disabled after restart

I've been using the "Play stero audio as mono" option in Universal Access, but ever time I restart, the setting is disabled. As far as I know, this is the only setting that does this. I also have the "Balance" slider bar all the way to the left in the Sound control panel; this persists through restarts. What can I do to fix this?

You could go around the issue by running a script at login to set this option. Here's a script I found on the net:

Accounts getting disabled after enabling password expiration on BOXI R2 SP2

Hi All,
We have a strange issue with our production environment.After enabling password expiration on the enterprise some accounts got disabled,on further investigation I found that these users were either trying to log on to Designer or 2 tier Deski.
I made them login through the Infoview to fix the issue.These users were Universe deginer or report writers.
Any Suggestions

These accounts are Enterprise accounts,according to the users they were not given a chance and they never got any prompt for the password change it was disabled directly at the first login.
These people were trying to logon using the Desginer or 2 Tier DESKI login and they are the members of the Administrtor Group also.
Is it important to logon to infoview or 3 tier DESKI to change your password?
I have no answer to give them why there accounts were disabled.

Received message left in inbox get purged after restarting thunderbird

Sometimes when I leave received message in my inbox, rather than disposing of them in some other way, graand then close Thunderbird, the message get purged the next time I restart the program. How I make sure that any messages in the inbox will stay until I dispose of them myself.

Look at Account Settings -> Server Settings -> Message Storage and uncheck "Clean up ("Expunge") Inbox on Exit"
I'm assuming you use IMAP. Did that work?

Word 2010 spell check gets disabled after Windows Updates

Each time the computer receives updates, the proofing settings seem to revert to disabled. The settings getting reset are
- Check spelling as you type
- Mark grammar errors as you type
- Check grammar with spelling
I only notice the issue in Word and have tried running a repair on Office. Any help is appreciated

Windows 8 settings get reset after Restart of computer

My windows 8 has a problem that whenever I make any changes in the settings in Task-bar or start up or desktop personalize the settings come to effect as normal but when I restart my computer some of the settings are reset to default. For eg. If I
try to pin a program to task bar, it automatically gets removed from task bar when I restart PC next time.
Is there a problem with my windows settings?
My windows version is Win 8 Pro

User gets disabled after 3 login failure

I just realized this problem. I don't want users to buzz a helpdesk because of failed login. Where and how can I turn it off?
Just wonder if Is it not possible, for example disable a user after 3 failed attempts, and enable it after 2 hours?

Never mind. I found the solution.
Solution:
1. Log into the Admin interface.
2. Navigate to Configure
3. Navigate to Policies
4. Select "Default Lighthouse Account Policy "
5. Under the "Identity Manager Password Policy Options" label.
A. Find the "Password policy" and select from the drop down list the password policy that applies to your system. I chose "Windows 2000 Password Policy" because we are using ActiveDirectory pass through authentication.
B. In the text box labled "Maximum Number of Failed Login Attempts" enter an number. We entered 3.
C. Save the change.

Safari Minimized Windows Get Lost After Restart

If I have any minimized windows when I quit Safari, I can't make them visible after I re-launch Safari without some extra trickery.
They are shown in the Window menu, with the "◆" bullet prepended, but when I select one of them, the bullet is replaced by a ckeck mark, and the frontmost window loses focus, but the minimized window isn't shown. It's as if the window is fronmost but not visible, as if it were positioned outside of the viewing area.
If I then select View > Enter Full Screen, the window becomes visible and remains so after I exit full screen mode.
Has anyone else seen this behavior? It's obviously a bug of some sort, but I wanted to see if anyone else has experienced it bufore I report it. I have a hunch that it might be limited to Safari 7 and Mavericks running on older hardware. I'm currently using Safari 7.0.4 in OS X Mavericks (10.9.3), but I have noticed this ever since upgrading to Mavericks. I'm not sure exactly how old my MacBook Pro is, but it's old.

WLAN disabled after restart or sleep on Satellite A100

Hi, how to solve this problem?
After reboot or sleep, hibernation I must manually reconnect WLAN (turn off and again on switch on right side) to use internet again.
Can WLAN reconnect somehow automatically?

Usually the notebooks should connect automatically after wake up from hibernation or standby.
This is not problem on my Satellite M40.
But I think it depends on the WLan card which is used in the notebook.
My M40 supports the Atheros card and I use the Atheros client utility instead of own Windows WLan configuration option to connect to the router.
Maybe you should try to establish the WLan connection using the additional WLan configuration utility like Intel ProSet for Intel cards or as spoken above Atheros Client utility for Atheros cards.

[SOLVED] Console Font Not Retained After Reboot

Hi, again. Happy to report that I successfully installed Arch Linux last night, with no problems whatsoever. Thanks to those who addressed my concerns. Still reading up on the package manager, user and group management, etc.
Anyway, one of the first things I noticed is that the console font gets reset after every reboot. I need to manually type "setfont Lat2-Terminus16" - which works just fine, except for the annoyance in having to do that each time I boot up. My /etc/vconsole.conf has the following:
KEYMAP=us
FONT=Lat2-Terminus16

I added 'consolefont' (without quotes) to the beginning (first item) of the HOOKS line in /etc/mkinitcpio.conf. Then I rebuilt the initramfs by typing "mkinitcpio -p linux". Again, no errors during the rebuild.
I've rebooted several times, but there's no change... my selected console font is not retained.
Can anyone point what I'm doing wrong, or offer ideas? Thanks.

Have you tried
If the fonts seems to not change on boot, or change only temporarily, it is most likely that they got reset when graphics driver was initialized and console was switched to framebuffer. To avoid this, load your graphics driver earlier. See for example KMS#Early_KMS_start or other ways to setup your framebuffer before /etc/vconsole.conf gets applied.

File Gets picked up but the location gets disabled

Hi,
I have a sharepoint receive location that gets document from sharepoint library .
The issue is, the file gets picked up and processed but the receive location gets disabled after threshold.
Any suggestions on the cause and resolution?

The error says..
The adapter "Windows SharePoint Services" raised an error message. Details "Unable to connect to the SharePoint Site 'wsss://server:443/sites/MySite/MyLibrary?ViewName='. Verify that the Site exists and the URL has been specified correctly.
This error was triggered by the Windows SharePoint Services receive location or send port with URI wsss://server:443/sites/MySite/MyLibrary?ViewName=.
Windows SharePoint Services adapter event ID: 12464".
But as said, the file gets picked and deleted and the location gets disabled.

Show Windows contents while dragging disabled after standby

I have noticed that the option "Show windows contents while dragging" gets disabled after I close the lid to put the machine into standby (hibernation disabled) and then open it again. Does anyone know what to do in order do disable that annoying feature?

The way to solve this problem, is demonstrated by the following code:
JDesktopPane desktopPane = new JDesktopPane();
desktopPane.putClientProperty("JDesktopPane.dragMode", "outline");This will then set all of the internal frames to outline mode when the frames are dragged instead of sluggishly drawing the components with the internal frames when dragged.

E90 Hangs after restart.... Requires Hard reformat...

Hi Guys,
Any one faced problems with E90 Phone getting hanged after restart.... It hangs up at the boot cycle..... You have to hard format using * + Call + 3 + Power on button to reformat it.
But after reformating it after i restore my data, after restart it again hangs...
Any one aware of any firmware or software that can help me solve this issue.

It is the orginal Snow Leopard install disk that came with the machine.
Techtool indicates that the dvd drive is working correctly.
Techtool shows Disks 3 and 4 are working correctly.
Disk utility and disk warrior show 3 & 4 are working correctly.
Disk utility and disk warrior say that the raid setup needs to be rebuilt.
In order to rebuild the raid and lots of other reasons using the install disk is necessary.

My addons get disabled everytime i restart my computer

Everytime i restart my pc and run firefox, all my addons are disabled ..
and i get such a screen asking for permission for each of my addons

Which security software (firewall, anti-virus) do you have?
Some security software has virtualization or sandbox features that may cause problems by protecting and restoring files in the Firefox profile folder.
It is possible that there is a problem with the file(s) that store the extensions registry.
Delete the files extensions.* (e.g. extensions.sqlite, extensions.ini, extensions.cache) and compatibility.ini in the Firefox profile folder to reset the extensions registry.
