FONTS...I want to live again!!!

My fonts look like yours but worse, have a look see:

I have been trying for three or four days to get this fixed to no avail.
I have tried:
1. Deleting the Alien font.
2. Font book.
3. Font Agent pro.
4. I have tried using google for information, but as you can see, I can only read about one line until my eyes pop out of my head!
5. I have even tried yelling at both my computer and my monitor.
6. I tried crying on the phone to friends and relatives. Nothing.
Please, I am on my knees, pleading for anyone to shed some kindness down on me and let me live again. I want to live again!!

I got your thread right after I had done the following:

_(I took a chance and did the following, use extreme caution when messing with your system fonts!)_
Since I have two internal drives I did a clean OS X 10.5.6 install on the other drive.
Then I logged into my new OS and backed up all my fonts from the old one and deleted FontAgent Pro and it's folders.
After that, I deleted all of the fonts everywhere (i.e. /library/fonts, then /system/library/font, then /user/library/fonts) on my old OS.
Then, I just dragged and dropped all of the fonts from new OS to their respective folders on my old OS.
Worked!
Now, I just have to find a good font manager!

A time, I'm sure you realize, when people were much less accepting of the gay lifestyle than they are today. The big lunges that they have made come in the past couple years with people like George Takei winning over their acceptance.
My views on gay marriage and other related issues are not the problem here, and therefore I will not get into them. The problem is that a man who reached the top of your company was kicked off because of an opinion he held 6 years ago when it was not even controversial. If he were making the contributions today instead it would hold more merit, but it still should not dictate his job performance. As long as he's not going around holding a "God hates fags" sign, his political views do not have anything to do with his job performance and it does not affect your company.
However, that takes us into the real underlying problem here: you were attacked by these groups like GLAAD who make you fear for your own business because of your association with this man, and you gave in. You aren't the first company to do it, and you surely won't be the last. Yet, are you satisfied in doing this? By giving in to a group of people who attacked you because of who you hired, you have bowed to a bully. You were bullied into this decision and now you are reeling in hoping it doesn't hurt you too bad. Will the people who jumped on you suddenly become customers again? Will this decision alienate other customers?
America became the greatest country in the world because it was built by people who believed in themselves. I won't even get into anything political here. It was just about hard work, believing you can achieve things, and not letting anyone tell you otherwise. It was the belief that we could build a country where anyone could become anything if they put their mind to it and they didn't let anyone bully them into thinking otherwise. It was that determination that led us to invent the lightbulb, the automobile, and the airplane. It was that kind of ingenuity that allowed us to take charge of the internet and for companies like Mozilla to innovate the web as much as it has in 10 short years.
Tell me, how do you think any of that will be able to happen if everyone is watching their backs? How will we make more progress if people are afraid to say an opinion just in case they might be bullied because of it and lose their jobs?

     I recently bought and installed Adobe InDesign CS4. It does not have some fonts I want, e.g., Papyrus Bold. I copied it from the Windows XP Fonts folder into the InDesign Font folder, which, for starters, was empty (even though when I open the InDesign application its inherent fonts are available). I have gone to online Help and tried different things, but I still cannot get Papyrus Bold when I open my file.
     Where are the InDesign fonts stored, if not in the InDesign Fonts folder?
     How can I make the fonts that are in my Windows XP to be available in InDesign?

     Thanks for your quick reply.
     I don’t see why there should be a problem with the Papyrus font I copied from Windows, since it works just fine in Word.
It is listed in the Windows XP/Fonts folder as Open Type, although in brackets beneath it has “True Type.”
     Note: the Adobe InDesign Fonts folder was empty when I first viewed it (except for my attempted copies of Papyrus and a couple of Lucidas). Where are the inherent InDesign fonts stored, if not there?

Thanks for answering. The version is XI.0.10. I just did the update yesterday hoping that I could now properly edit a scanned pdf document. Yes, it's happening on most all scanned documents. I followed your steps & found the list of fonts used in the document & then attempted to edit. The same occurs. When I type in a correction, I get an error alert... "the original font (in this case Fd 5805) is not available or can't be used in editing. Acrobat is using the font Minion Pro in its place."
When I select the text & right click as you suggested, my only choices are cut, copy, delete or select all, no "edit text".
I have no other options to choose another font. Thanks for any help you can direct my way.

If it's not in the Movies part of your library, then does the Store > Check For Available Downloads menu option download it ? If not then try the 'report a problem' page to contact iTunes Support : http://reportaproblem.apple.com

Uninstalling or reinstalling the iTunes application won't affect your music (data) -- but it's always a good idea to have a backup!

If you have your wife under a different account you will need to get her a new Apple ID, then sign into that ID. Then sync her iPhone in iTunes, note the apps that your have under your Apple ID on her iPhone will not update unless you sign in with your Apple ID and password, if would be best if she erased her iPhone and re-downloaded the apps under her Apple ID. For her to start over, make sure that her pictures and movie files are backed up, then go into the settings>general>reset then tap erase all content and settings.

I am using my iphone with T-Mobile, it is unlocked. Tonight it turned on and wants to activate again, finds my wifi then goes to activate screen, but wont activate. I had updated to the OS6 and was working fine last night. This is an Iphone 4

SO I try that and it goes to syns and says:
itunes cannot sync apps to the iphone Clives iphone because the apps installed on the iphone could not be determined.

If you have a backup of your hard drive that includes the app you have removed, that is likely what the Mac App Store is seeing. Disconnect the backup and you should be able to redownload the app.
