Fonts in creative cloud

this is more of a feature request i suppose.
but i love typekit in the adobe CC desktop app, however, it displays all your fonts, in the same font, so i cannot see what they look like. which is, annoying.
so i was wondering if the functionality could be added to display the typekit fonts in the font you have synced? so i can actually see what they are right from the app

  • Is there an additional Typekit charge for fonts with Creative Cloud membership?

Is there an additional Typekit charge for fonts with Creative Cloud membership?  I am not clear if these are trial fonts or if there will be a charge for using them permanently in Adobe Illustrator CS6.  Thanks for any assistance.

You don't purchase fonts with Typekit for "permanent use". You're paying a subscription. You either subscribe to Adobe Creative Cloud, and as part of the subscription, you can use the fonts as long as you pay your subscription. There is no additional charge. Or, you pay for a subscription to Typekit only.

  • Can I sync PC fonts and Mac fonts using Creative Cloud?

Can I sync PC fonts and Mac fonts using Creative Cloud?

Well, you should have a dedicated sync MIDI cable. Assign Logic to transmit MTC. Tell Cubase to chase it.
    Song settings>Synchronization>MIDI
that is where you can tell Logic to transmit MTC. When routing back to Logic you shuld not expect significant latency and there are ways to offset it. The easiest would probably tell Cubase to run a little ahead of the clock. (Offset)
So there is the Logic settings panel Cubase has one similar, for chasing. If you use a dedicated audio interface and transfer audio digitally from PC to Mac then you would want to have then synced via word clock. I would put Logic as the master here again.

  • Missing font in Creative Cloud In-design

I recently became a Creative Cloud subscriber and opened an In-design document that indicated that I was missing font. Is there a location where I can download fonts to add to my In-design product? Is this included as part of my subscription or do I have to pay for each new font?

You can browse all available Fonts in the "fonts" tab which you can see, when you started the "Acobe Creative Cloud" program. On a mac you will see the sign in the upper right corner. Here the sign to look for:
I advise you to look the two minute video whitch I provided in the first post.

  • Fonts and creative cloud questions?

I have been a CS Design user for many years, more then I want to admit. I have always owned my own Adobe product's version and my own font collections. I have over a thousand fonts, some of which are very old. So far, using CS 5.5 Design and Web Premium, I have had NO problems with these fonts.
My question is, if I go to the "cloud" version, what happens with my fonts. Will they sync? Will they have a problem with version'ing? I am a freelance designer and my clients have become a custom to the unique font options I provide. If I can't pull up 5.5 files with these fonts and have them work, it will be a VERY costly upgrade that I would NOT be happy about.
Can someone tell me their experience going to the "cloud" versions of InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop with their personally owned fonts?
    Thank you.

For fonts that you have personally licensed and installed on your computer system(s), there is no difference in terms of how you access them with the Creative Cloud versions of the applications.
Please note that the “Creative Cloud” does not infer that the applications run “in the cloud” but that additional, optional cloud-based services are now offered and that your installation is via download from a server. After that, assuming that you neither need nor want any of the cloud-based services, the software runs in the same manner as the CS versions.

  • Where do I install fonts on creative cloud?

I just changed from a PC to a MAC and upgraded to the creative cloud.  I have a lot of PC fonts that I would like to use with the creative suite.  Where do I install them? I cannot locate the path library/application support/adobe.
    thanks for the help

OSX has supported TrueType fonts forever, including the Windows "flavor" of TrueType, so that should work. If they are Type-1 PostScript fonts, you should have no problems, either, as long as the PFM and PFB files are in one place. Loading the fonts from the Adobe folders has been deprecated since CS5 and to my knowledge really only works in InDesign since all other apps no longer carry the routines for this. Anyway, perhaps you might, do a little checking and try a font managent tool like Suitcase. After all, my Mac knowledge is limited, being only with an older MacBook Pro that is a memento from a better time in my life...

  • What's the deal with the fonts in Creative Cloud?

There are a lot of them, but none of my favorites (Gil Sans,  Avant Guarde, almost any script font) seem to be there.

    Hi Ramona,
This would make a good feature request.  If you click on this link and describe what it is you would like to see included, others can vote on it and it gets seen by our developers and considered.

  • Dreamweaver Help | Add Edge and Web fonts to the Font list | Creative Cloud

This question was posted in response to the following article: http://helpx.adobe.com/dreamweaver/using/typekit-font-support.html

    Hi Oyvay,
Assuming you are talking about the standard Font-Stacks (Font-Family options shipped with Dreamweaver by default), they are available under the "Custom Font Stacks" tab available under "Manage Fonts" dialog.  You can access this dialog by selecting "Manage Fonts..." option listed in the Font-Family drop-down combos in any of the following dialogs:
    1)  Properties Panel,
    2)  CSS Styles Panel,
    3)  Page Properties dialog,
    4)  New / Edit CSS rule definition dialog.
Alternatively, you can use the "Modify -->  Manage Fonts..." menu option from Dreamweaver's main menu also.
The older font-stacks that were available default have been replaced with a latest and updated set of fonts.  The older options - Arial, Verdana, ... are outdated.  Your existing pages created with earlier versions would still function the same but the pages created from now on can use the updated fonts set.
You can go through the below article for further information on the Adobe Edge Web Fonts integration with Dreamweaver.  And in case you have any more queries, please do post back.  Thanks..

  • Installing a font not from Typekit in Creative Cloud

Is there a way to save fonts to Creative Cloud that are not from Typekit, so that they can be available whenever you sign in to CC?

No, that is not currently a Creative Cloud feature.
Fonts must be installed on each individual computer for them to be available to CC applications (or they must be Typekit desktop fonts).

  • How do I install my own fonts to use in the adobe creative cloud?

I have fonts that I have downloaded and used in a previous file but are not installed within the typekit.  Is there a way to load them into the creative cloud so that I can continue using the same font with the creative cloud?

    Hi lsiggins
Typekit is not font management software; it is a library of fonts that you can sync to your desktop to use alongside the fonts that you have installed locally. This tutorial shows how it works:
    http://help.typekit.com/customer/portal/articles/1145956
You will not upload your other desktop fonts to Typekit. You'll continue to manage them locally in Font Book, Suitcase Fusion, or another font management software.
I hope that this helps; let me know if you have any other questions. Best,

  • Is there any way to increase the font size in the Creative Cloud. Using a Lenovo Yoga 2 with 14" screen and care barely see the menus

Is there any way to increase the font size in the Creative Cloud. Using a Lenovo Yoga 2 with 14" screen and care barely see the menus.

In short, no. There is no fix yet. They only barely acknowledge there is a problem. The "fix" is to enable 200% UI scaling which makes everything comically huge and unusable. This is pretty much of a joke. A really, really EXPENSIVE joke.

  • Creative cloud  - Menu Bar and Palette's are tiny font.

I just downloaded creative cloud on my lenovo Yoga Pro 2.  The size of my Menu Bar and Palette's are tiny font.  However, Lightroom menu bar and palette's are in a normal size easy to read font.  Can anyone tell me how to change just Photoshop?

For now the solution seems to be using the Scale 200% setting in Edit>Preferences>Experimental Features.
There is also a setting in Edit>Preferences>Interface>UI Font Size that enlarges some of the fonts, although not the menu bar.
After changing either setting, you need to restart photoshop to see the changes.

  • How can I make the font bigger in Creative Cloud?

Since I saw no other posts come up in the search, I need to know if I can make the Creative Cloud app itself have a bigger font.  I finally found where someone had shown how to do it for Photoshop.  (This is due to the fact I am on a Toshiba laptop with an Ultra 4K screen, resolution at 3840 x 2160.)  Basically I can barely read any of the app names to know what is available to install.
    Thanks for the help!!!
