Fonts in graphs are light in OBIEE

Hi,
We are getting the Fonts in graphs very light in OBIEE.
Can some one help me in making all the fonts in graph bold setting the option at one place??

I suspect you would have to modify views.css. For any given 'style', there are two copies of this file. So it is impossible to make a change in only one place. You will also have to make sure you are changing the views.css that applies to the style your pages and reports are currently using. As for which exact css element(s) to change, that may just take a little brainpower. The firebug plugin in firefox is a HUGE help for figuring out that sort of thing!
I suggest doing a google search for a tutorial on how to do this set and change style and skins in OBIEE. It's a lot of description to re-type in a forum post. And yes, two copies of all the css files. Whatever.

Graph Data Labels in OBIEE 11g - Customizing

Hi folks!
Would somebody know how to select what is shown in graph data labels in OBIEE 11g?
For example in a scatter graph data label I'd like to show the Group only (not the combination of Series, Group, X and Y, as by default). For a pie chart one can select the data shown in data labels to some extent (name / value), however couldn't find this option for scatter graph.
After searching I could only find instructions for 10g - such as John's instructions at http://obiee101.blogspot.com.es/2008/01/obiee-xy-and-data-in-mouse-over-label.html.
However, my understanding is that the graph engine in OBIEE 11g is now different, and the 10g instructions are not valid for 11g anymore.
I was also having a look on the .cxml files in OBIEE 11g but those seem to relate to colors only?

How many fonts from Font Folio 11 are in CS5 Master?

Hi.
For educational purposes (classes I'm taking).... how many fonts are included in Font Folio 11 that overlap the fonts that ship with CS5 Master Collection? I see that there are 2300 fonts in Font Folio and some of the names look familiar but there seem to be some fonts that have extra glyph types such as light, medium, condensed, bold, book, black etc.

Here is a link to a page that lists the fonts included with the various CS5 editions, including the Master Collection:

As you can see, only a very small subset of the fonts in Font Folio 11 are included with the CS5 suite.

Neither worked. Please help!

Try delete those songs using iTunes by de-selecting and sync. After that mark those songs and sync again.

Cursors in XY Graph are blinking

Hello,
The graph at XY graph component should be repainted too often (2 - 3 times in second). The graph doesn't blink, because "Update smoothing" option is on.
But cursors at this graph are repainted every time so they are blinking very strong and customer says it annoys.
Is it possible to avoid this?

while the measurment is running. One thing about property nodes you should know, they are not very performant, so use them only

You can create report using catalog manager:
1. Open catalog in Online mode.
2. Select shared folder & then click on Tool-> create report.
3. For report name -> select Analysis from drop down list & move "Name" in right pane(or whatever detail u want, u can select from list).
4. For Dashboard -> select Dashboard from drop down list & then move name in right pane.
5. Click OK & save report.

Is this graphs are for normal performance or the app leaking the memory ?!!

I'm new to java profiling and testing and I faced some hang ups so i made some fixes to my code .
It's medium sized application and i captured some shots of the Memory Heap, Memory GC, Threads/Loaded classes Graphs From NetBeans Profiler.
If any one may see them and say if this is normal performance or I need some more fixing in the come.
Note that the graphs are captured when I was doing Load Test on the program

It's always hard to tell if memory is leaking by graphs alone... of course if your memory graph is always increasing and never returning to some base value after GC, then you probably have a leak. You should use a tool like JProfiler on your app server to watch for leaks from a particular application (object within some app). But, in general... watch all graphs Memory, Threads, and CPU usage for abnormal trends. An app can also leak via over usage of resources (spawning threads that are never completing or never released).

Web-Report - Graphs are wrapped without need

Hi Specialist,
I need to build a "print-save" web-template which contains 2 graphics next to each-other.
In the browser this works as expected - the graphs are displayed besides each other.
As soon as I try to print that page (via PDF), the 2nd/right graph is wrapped into the next line.
I didn't manage to figure out how to change the settings for printing the graphes as wanted.
Could you please gimme a hint about that?

When you export Web template result to Excel/PDF, All tables or charts will display one above the other..not as it is in the Web Template Image.
In your case,chart should diaplay one above the other.Try to see in the Export PDF Button settings & set your page size and fittings

If a page you go to opens in a new tab, there is no 'back' to go to. If that is the case, just close the tab and you'll be at the page you came from.

When a document is a scanned PDF and converted to word some of the words and paragraphs are randomly a shade lighter when printed. You can (barely) see it on the screen but it is different. All font and design are the same. Any suggestions?

I saw something similar with my 4 TB Promise SmartStor NAS after I upgraded to Lion. Only, I had ALL of my iTunes library on the NAS and one day, about a week after the upgrade I finally tried to play music with iTunes, but it kept throwing up an error just like the one you're seeing. I searched around for a while and finally found some steps that fixed the problem.
I found this solution at another site (can't remember which) that gave credit to this site:

Here are the directions I cut-n-pasted into my little notes file:
1) Launch the Terminal app
2) Run this command:
sudo chmod o+w /Library/Preferences
3) Run this command:
defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.apple.AppleShareClient afp_host_prefs_version -int 1
4) Restart your computer
5) From Finder, select an AFP server, or use “Connect To…”
This will cause the AFP Client to create the full preferences file
6) Launch the Terminal app again
7) Run this command (all on one line, make sure double-quotes are simply double-quotes from your keyboard, not pasted from the web as up and down quote marks) (yes, some of the spelling looks weird):
sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.apple.AppleShareClient afp_disabled_uams -array "Cleartxt Passwrd" "MS2.0" "2-Way Randnum exchange"
8) Run this command:
sudo chmod o-w /Library/Preferences
9) Restart your computer
To disable this hack, run this command (all on one line, make sure double-quotes are simply double-quotes from your keyboard, not pasted from the web as up and down quote marks):
sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.apple.AppleShareClient afp_disabled_uams -array-add "DHCAST128"

When switched to Firefox, the font on my email and others looks like a print out froma printer low on ink. Some letters completely solid, some letters are light and dark. Reason? Solution?

Please be rest assured that we pay close attention to the posts on the Forum and we've monitored those related to the 6510. Improvements have been made to follow-on printer models. I agree that taking the printer apart isn't for the faint hearted, it can certainly be a tricky process.

Graph Not visible in OBIEE 11.1.1.6

Hi,
We had developed the solution in OBIEE 11g(1.5) version then we migrated to OBIEE 11g (1.6) version. Now the issue is few of the graph's are not visible after migration.
Also even if I recreate the graphs and try to remove the decimal places by overwriting the default in column properties>Data format the graph becomes invisible again.
and when I run the report after unchecking the check box of overwriting the default data format I can see the graph.
what can be the reason & what is the solution?

Fonts in graphs don't scale using firefox with Win 8

Using Win 8.1 and Mozilla Firefox, when I go to Yahoo finance to look at a stock graph, everything scales except the graph's labels for the axes. As an example, go to Yahoo finance (Yahoo.finance.com), click on Nasdaq (or any other), then under the graph on the top right click on 5d (or 1m or whatever). The graph will display correctly but the x-y axes labels are too small to read.
So far only IE has worked well with Win 8 after having adjusted zooms and fonts. Firefox had been my browser of choice. Please help me achieve this.

Sorry for the delayed response. Yes, there are other software with the same issue. Kaspersky, on-line Civilization (I don't play, but I downloaded it as an offer), and, yes, Adobe reader.
My guess is that Microsoft let go of the standard monitor pixel sizes (e.g. 768X1280 or whatever...) because there are so many different high density pixel screens (mine's about 1800X3200). Programs either choose to control the pixel density or it becomes an unknown variable dependent on each computer's screen resolution setup. For example, if I decreased the resolution to the 768x1280 setting, I could actually see a full screen Civilization window. In high resolution settings, it was a small box with microscopic letters.
If you get into the details of Firefox, there is a whole set of defined settings (see earlier in thread about "layout.css.devPixelsPerPx pref on the about:config"). While I like learning, sometimes knowing a thousand different settings is not the way I want to work on my computer. And none of it comes with definitions. I don't want to be a proud firefox web browser certified technician. But I appreciate firefox and am glad someone there does understand it. Actually, it would be fun.
Back to my issue with the yahoo finance and firefox, it is more confusing because most of the webpage is normal sized while some of the inner graph fonts are microscopic. Changing the screen resolution has no effect on it. Playing with the screen resolution changed the sharpness of the firefox fonts. Right now it's fuzzy and I'm uncertain it will sharpen when I restart my computer.
So, in short, I don't have a clue.
