    My reports are in Arial (Cyrillic) font, but there are only hieroglyphes in pdf output. Is there a problem with fonts on Report Server or something else?
    My Report Server is 10g R2 (10.1.2.2) and OS is RHEL 4.
    I followed metalink notes 750805.1 and 356221.1 but it didn't help me.

    You also have to be careful with fonts. The font you download may be the same name, but a different font. Just because you find a Zurich BT font, does not mean it is the same. If you search on the internet, there are several sources of some Zurich BT fonts free. However, they may or may not be the same font. Editing is best done on the original document and not the PDF. One of the PDFs I found on the Landis site was only in Zurich font. I would think that the original file is available from the company and that should be the document you edit, not the PDF. It appears the original was created in InDesign (CS3).

  • Same font in Reports Builder environment

    i am facing a query which i am not able to understand. I made 2 reports, one with font '8' and another with '10' in Reports Builder Developer Suite 9i in Windows 2000 professional edition. After this, i copied both the reports into Unix operating System HP-11i and it works properly showing the report with the smaller font in smaller font itself. But when i import the reports(.rdf) back from Unix into windows 2000 environment, it is showing both the reports in same font '10' in design mode. I am not able to understand that when i import the reports back from UNIX into windows, why are the reports showing in the same font in design mode. Please help me in this as it is very urgent.

    this could be because of your UNIX environment does not have the required fonts, the report builder substituted the available fonts. Moreover, there is no uniformity in case of fonts across OS.

    I have no problem displaying Chinese characters in web layout.

    If your NLS_LANG is properly set to chinese character set and if you are choosing the right chinese fonts, in Reports builder, your report paper layout should display chinese characters properly.
    If you are generating to PDF, then you might want to use PDF subsetting to display the chinese characters properly.

    I'm having the same problem! Im defining a key in "cgicmd.dat" like
    my_key : userid=user/pass@db
    and Im calling the report using a url like
    http://appserver.com/ows-bin/rwcgi60.exe?my_key&report=name.rdf&destype=cache&desformat=pdf&server=Rep60_SERVER
    and what I get? Error: "Oracle Reports Server CGI - Reports Server name is not specified."
    Ive changed my_key to
    my_key : userid=user/pass@db report=name.rdf destype=cache desformat=pdf server=Rep60_SERVER
    and works fine ...
    Problem:
    My problem is that I need to pass more parameters in the url to run the report. Parameters like "p_dept=10"
    http://appserver.com/ows-bin/rwcgi60.exe?my_key&p1=something&p2=whatever
    Report, however isnt receiving the parameter p1 and p2.
    And using the complete url
    http://appserver.com/ows-bin/rwcgi60.exe?userid=user/pass@db&report=name.rdf&destype=cache&desformat=pdf&server=Rep60_SERVER&p1=something&p2=whatever
    works ...
    anyone knows a way to turn this question?
    I only need to get the user/pass@db out from the url ....

    I guess something wrong in your CGICMD.DAT entry
    Can you cut and paste what exactly you have in that file for the mapkey
    It has to be something like
    mapkey: userid=scott/tiger@db

  • Add a font to report builder?

    Is it possible to add a new font to report builder 3.0? I'm new to this and trying to create a report that uses the font Whitney Book (or one similar to it) but I can't figure out how to add it to the report builder.

    According to your description, you want to add a font for Reporting Services in Report Builder. Right?
    In Reporting Services, open type font is not supported which means we can't add font into Report Builder directly. Since we use standard Windows APIs for fonts, you may need to install the font into Windows (Go to Control Panel->Fonts or add the fonts
    into C:\WINDOWS\Fonts). Here has some available info in the following blog:

    In one of my Report .I am using Japanese characters.All the contents are static data. If I run from Report builder it gives me perfect result and If I am trying to get output in PDF format from Report builder, I all the Japanese characters changed to some different fonts characters. Same problem with Report Server.

  • How to add a new font into Report Builder and Oracle Forms/Reports Server?

    I've searched the forum and can't find this being discussed.
    My developers run Report Builder 10.1.2.0.2 on their XP laptops.
    Their reports run (in production) on Oracle Forms/Reports Server 10.1.2.0.2.
    This server runs on MS Windows 2003, SP2.
    They've got a client who wants reports using the "Garamond Western" font.
    So....how do I get this font onto the developer's Report Builder laptops, and onto the Oracle Forms/Reports Server?
    I've moved various 'Garamond' fonts into C:\WINDOWS\FONTS on both the laptops and the server, but neither seem to recognize it.

    This answers 1/2 of my question.
    The developer can now use Report Builder on his laptop, with the new fonts.
    But when he moves this new Report to the Oracle Application Server/Forms-Reports Server, it fails to use the new fonts.
    The Oracle App Server/Forms-Report Server is Version 10.1.2.0.2. It runs on MS Windows 2003, SP2.
    I have installed the exact same fonts on this server, into C:\WINDOWS\Fonts.
    I have used REGEDIT to change REPORTS_PATH....and placed C:\WINDOWS\Fonts; as the first value in this field.
    I have then stopped and restarted the Forms-Reports Server.

  • ARIAL FONT IN REPORTS(WINDOWS), NOT SHOWN CORRECTLY UNDER LINUX

    Our Reports are developed under Windows (Report Builder 9.0.4.0.33 and Windows 2000/Windows XP) and generated under Linux (IAS 10.1.2.0.2 with Red Hat Advanced Server). The Report Output is a PDF, that will be downloaded by the user with WEB.SHOW_DOCUMENT. This works fine, but fonts are not shown correctly in the PDF, especially ARIAL, which is the font we use.
    I have run the Fontsolution Configuration Script from Metalink, but we still have a problem.
    When you look at the font.pdf, wich is the testreport from fontsolutions, some sizes and styles of Arial are printed correctly others not.
    Arial 8 is ok, but Arial 10 and Arial 12 are something like Times New Roman.
    Arial 12 Bolded is correct, but Arial 12 italic and Arial 12 bold italic are also not
    the Arial Font.
    How can we correct this problem?

    If you want to make platform independent use of fonts, you have to use the family, such as sans serif.
    Arial is owned by monotype (http://monotype.com/). You have to contact them if you wish to redistribute it with your application. They also might have a suitable version that renders nicely under linux.

  • How to use the 3of9 font in report in concurrent program

    Dear All,
    I have developed a report in 6i, and selected the font 3of9.ttf in Report Builder, which is a Barcode type font. but when i register the report as concurrent program and run the report concurrent program it is not showing me the field value in barcode format.
    Then i tried to ftp the font to unix server at location "$OA_JRE_TOP/jre/lib/fonts/3of9000.ttf" also created the xdo.cfg file at "$OA_JRE_TOP/lib" folder.
    But still i am not getting the expected result.
    Can anyone help me out to resolve this issue?

    You can't just copy a Windows font to Unix. You need specific Unix installation steps. That I know, for the rest I am unfamiliar with Unix fonts.

    Hi,
    I was hoping someone could help me. I am trying to change the color of the font in a report based on if the result returned in that column (e.g. date) meets a certain condition (e.g. is 5 days away from the start or end date range entered in a prompt). Can you tell me if this is even possible?

  • Fonts in Report

    I need different fonts in one ITEM on a report.
    Can I put scape characters in a table column?

    Report fields can only have one font and you they don't recognise special characters (unless you are outputting to HTML and set the "contains html" property).
    However, report boilerplate text items can have multiple fonts. To get what you need, you can have a boilerplate text object rather than a field. Then have multple fields with your multiple fonts - say F_1, F_2, F_3. You then set the "Visible" property to "no" on the fields so they don't show up. Finally, you reference the fields in the boilerplate as: "&<F_1>&<F_2>&<F_3>".
    You should probably make the fields and boilerplate variable vertically/horizontally.
    Note, although the font's are picked up from the fields, boilerplate objects can still only have one colour picked up from the boilerplate object itself.
    If your content isn't data driven, you can set the multiple fonts in the boilerplate directly by selecting the piece of text and applying the font to that peice of text.

  • Font Book reporting 0 fonts and crashing

    Hi,
    I see that Font Book has been mentioned as having some problems before, but no definitive answers were given.
    My MacBook crashed hard last night (for the first time), and when I restarted, some of my fonts weren't appearing, notably Chinese fonts and (I think) Helvetica.
    Going into Font Book (which was the first application that showed up typing "font" in Spotlight) showed no fonts of any kind. When I tried to add all the fonts already in /System/Library/Fonts and a few other locations, it reported that some fonts had caused "System Validation" (completely unexplained) problems and should not be installed - these are "Helvetica LT MM" and "Times LT MM". It also popped up alert boxes for a series of fonts (Geneva.dfont, Keyboard.dfont, etc.) that caused conflicts with system fonts and should be removed or something.
    After that, Chinese fonts work on the system, but Font Book still reports that I have no fonts at all.
    When I reboot, my fonts are gone again. This is VERY tedious.
    Also, if I log into another user account on the system (mine is an administrator account and the other account is not, I don't know if this bears any significance), fonts act normally without any configuration needed, and Font Book seems to work fine as well - i.e. fonts are listed!
    I tried deleting ~/Library/Application Support/Font Book/fb.db and ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.FontBook.plist as well as overwriting both with the other user's versions, along with multiple reboots.
    At this point I'd really appreciate any suggestions, because so far I was enjoying Leopard and this is spoiling it, on Christmas eve too :P

    Font Book's database may have gotten trashed. It could also be the font collection files. Try this:
    1) Restart your Mac and immediately hold down the Shift key when you hear the startup chime to boot into Safe Mode. Keep holding the Shift key until you see a progress bar towards the bottom of the screen. You can let go of the Shift key at that point.
    OS X asks you to log in (you will get this screen on a Safe Mode boot even if your Mac is set to automatically log in). Let the Mac finish booting to the desktop and then restart normally. This will clear Font Book's database and the cache files of the user account you logged into in Safe Mode.
    If this doesn't do it, then proceed to the next possibility:
    2) From the desktop, hold down the Option key and at the menu bar, choose Go > Library to open the Library folder within your user account. Go to the FontCollections folder and move all sets to the desktop. Try launching Font Book again.

  • Setting fonts in reports.

    Using labview V6.1 and Windows 2000.
    I am using the Append front panel image to report.vi to attach a panel image to a report. I would like to set the font of the text that is in this image, but the set report font.vi does nothing for this neither does setting the font in the vi I wish to append.
