  • Unable to delete a Font Book Smart Group

    I in the middle of making a Final Cut movie that needs some Hindi fonts. I downloaded a few and installed them, and made a smart group in Font Book to keep them all together.
    For some reason, the smart group is causing Font Book to freeze. I have manually deleted the fonts I installed from my font user folder but I cannot get rid of the smart group as the moment I click on it Font Book freezes. To make things worse, when I start Final Cut it too crashes!! This is not good. Any help would be appreciated.

    I solved the problem by manually deleting the Smart Group from: user/Libary/FontCollections
    All seems to be working as it should...

  • How to print 4 copies of smart from in a single print

    Dear All,
      i have one smartform. i have attached my smart form to an output type. if  i am printing through that output type, it has to print 4 copies of smartform. Hoe to do this?
    i have 6 windows in my smart from in different different place. i have used main window for my table data inthe middle of the smart from.
    How can i print  4 copies of smart from in a single print ?
    Thanks In advance.

    Hi Vishnu,
    I hope you have used a print program which will be triggered from the output type.   In your print program where you are calling your smartform, just include that piece of code inside DO 4 times.
                                                                                    ........... Write the code here to call your smartform.
                                                                                    ENDDO.
    I hope by doing this you will be able to achieve your requirement.

  • How to get font's information from PDF of page item?

    The PDF file is placed in a document of InDesign.How to get the list of font's name from the PDF.I would like to know the font which is used in the PDF file.

    Thanks, Michael 2 James
    I try it.The IFontNames interface's "FontsSupplied" Function can't got the name of fonts from PDF file. This PDF file was created by InDesign.
    If the PDF file had be created by Adobe Acrobat and some fonts had be embedded,the "FontsSupplied" Function would have gotten the name of fonts.
    There other ways?Thanks

  • Automatic font in footnote from iphoto calendar

    I made a calendar on iphoto and placed the order. But to bad, it is being cancelled 3 times.
    There is a ' inconsistente lettertypen'  (in duch) or a inconsistent font.
    There is a really small footnote with month and year in de right corner at the bottom. It came there automatic. I did not place it there. And I don't know who to change that font.
    That font is different from the rest....i dont care but Apple does and they cancel the order.
    I WANT MY CALENDAR!
    Please help!

    Did the month/year text  in that corner look OK in the pdf file that you previewed? if you fail again try the following.
    1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
         User/Home/Library/ Preferences folder.
    2 - delete iPhoto's cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
    User/Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder (Snow Leopard and Earlier).
    or with Mt. Lion from the User/Library/Containers/com.apple.iPhoto/
    Data/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder
    3 - launch iPhoto and try again.
    NOTE 1: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding down the Option key when launching iPhoto.  You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.
    NOTE 2:  In Lion and Mountain Lion the Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and hit the Enter button - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.

  • Identifying Full Font Family Names from Acrobat "Properties"

    I routinely update PDFs where the originator is unavailable to question about typography issues. The problem I'm having currently, and continue to have, is that Acrobat (on V8) identifies font names differently from say...the Adobe Store.
    For instance, currently I'm editing a PDF that uses fonts from the "HelveticaNeue" family. I don't have this font, so if I go over to the Adobe store and try to find it, I get multiple types of "HelveticaNeue" font, and none of them are exactly what Acrobat provides as the name.
    For instance:
    Acrobat says: HelveticaNeue-Black
    Adobe store offers:
    Helvetica Neue Std Black
    Helvetica Neue 93 Black
    Helvetica Neue 95 Black
    and so on and so forth
    But NO "HelveticaNeue-Black" is in the list.
    Neither the spelling of the Acrobat font family, or the actual full name seem to match anything in the Adobe store.
    So, does anyone know a way to figure out exactly which font family Acrobat has in the PDF?
    Thanks in advance.

    Chris Souther asked:
    "Does anyone know a way to figure out exactly which font family
    Acrobat has in the PDF?"
    PDF's may include individual fonts, not families. For the most part,
    the font names shown are the actual font names. Or, more precisely,
    the PS Font Names.
    I'm looking at an older Type 1 font right now that has the following
    names in its name table (or at least the ones I can see in FontLab):
    Family Name: Helvetica Neue
    Weight: Black
    Style Name: Regular
    PS Font Name: HelveticaNeue-Black
    Full Name: Helvetica 95 Black
    Menu Name: Helvetica 95
    Fond Name: Helvetica 95
    To prevent conflicts, Adobe did some name modification when they
    created OpenType versions of fonts:
    The OTF version of the same font shows:
    Family Name: Helvetica 95 Black
    Weight: Heavy
    Style Name: Regular
    PS Font Name: HelveticaNeue-Black
    Full Name: Helvetica Neue 95 Black
    Menu Name: Helvetica 95 Black
    Fond Name: Helvetica 95 Black
    It appears that either one of these might be the one used in your PDF
    - and they should be interchangeable.
    Just to confuse things further, the fontnames for embedded subsets may
    be preceded by random 6-letter-and-a-plus-sign strings like HFTRDS+,
    or in some cases where the PDF isn't produced by Adobe Acrobat,
    TrueType fonts might have peculiar names like TT493875.
    Note that with the exception of a small "webfonts' collection Adobe
    has never produced Truetype fonts. If, as you indicated in another
    gorup, you need to install these fonts, you need them in T1 or OpenType.

  • Dynamic Insertion of graphics in Smart from

    Hi guys,
    I want to insert a dynamic graphic image from the presentation server into smart from its possible?
    Reg,

    Hi Mohd,
    here's how to do it.
    I presume you have alredy done charting in general with the cl_gui_chart_engine. You need the data and the customizing XML strings of that chart to print it out.
    Follow this coding:
        DATA: l_igs_viewer TYPE REF TO cl_igs_chart_engine,
              i_igs_image_converter TYPE REF TO cl_igs_image_converter.
    * Generate an Internet Graphics Server Chart Engine

    * IGS gets data and customizing
        CALL METHOD l_igs_viewer->set_data( data_doc = l_ixml_doc ).
        CALL METHOD l_igs_viewer->set_customizing(
          custom_doc = l_ixml_custom_doc ).
    * and now renders the chart.
        CALL METHOD l_igs_viewer->execute
          EXCEPTIONS
            communication_error = 1
            internal_error      = 2
            external_error      = 3
            OTHERS              = 4.
    * Next step ist to convert the image to an MS-BMP.

    * get your image
          CALL METHOD l_igs_viewer->get_image
            IMPORTING
              image      = l_image
              image_size = l_image_size

                                    p_name
                                    p_id
                                    p_btype.
    ENDFORM.                    "save_bitmap_bds
    Your final part will now be to print out the graphic using a SmartForm. The method I showed above, saves the graphics always with the same name, in this case TEMP_CHART0181. So this method is not qualified for concurrent use by multiple users.
    Try it out and see how slow this works unfortunately.
    I hope SAP will provide a performant way soon to print charts with smartforms better than that above.
    One last hint concerning size and resolution of the bitmap. Take a low resolution of say 50 dpi to gain higher performance but lower print quality. I never tried high resolutions of like 300dpi, it just became too slow for me and I qualified that as simply unpracticable.
    I hope the coding snippets can help you.
    Kind Regards
    Ernst

  • All Adobe PS fonts mysteriously removed from Word 2000 font library

    HELP !
    Operating System:     Windows 2000 Professional with Service Pack 4
    Word Processor:        Office 2000 (including Word 2000) with Service Pack 3
    Adobe Type Manager Deluxe:     Version 4 .1 installed May 24, 2000, Serial Number XXXXXXXXXXXXXX-XXX.
    Adobe Postscript Fonts:     The entire library.
    On September 12, 2010, I opened up a Word document created in 1992 on my computer using Adobe postscript font AvantGarde.
    I immediately saved the document in the latest version of Word (i.e., Word 2000).
    I then highlighted the bolded caption to change the font size from 12 points to 13 points.     "13" is not on the font size drop down menu, so it has to be typed in manually.  I did that.
    The second I pressed the "Enter" key, the following events occurred:
                   The entire Adobe postscript font library disappeared from the Word 2000 drop down list of available fonts;
                   The installation date of the Adobe PS fonts all changed to the date I hit the "Enter" key (i.e., 9/12/2010);
                    The file size of each font changed to "OK";
                    The attributes of each Adobe PS font changed to "AC";
                    The file name of each Adobe PS font was broken by the insertion of an ____ in the file name; I don't know if it replaced any existing characters in the file name;
                     All the Adobe postscript fonts remain in the Master Font List of Adobe Type Manager Deluxe 4.1, as well as the Adobe folder containing all the Adobe PS fonts;
                     Every Word document ever created on our computer formatted in Adobe PS AvantGarde - about 95% of all our documents - defaulted to either Courier or Avant Guard (pronounce the same, but spelled differently); "Avant Guard" is a true type font.
    Adobe Tech support personnel were unable to assist me and suggested I present this problem to the Forum.
    I have the name of the engineers who developed Adobe Type Manager Deluxe 4.1, as well as its technical specifications from Help.
    Adobe postscript font "Avantgarde" is practically our firm's logo. Readers recognize our work just by the font.  It's one of the most beautiful and readable fonts in the entire Adobe library.
                     I have no reason to believe the document itself that I opened was corrupted.
                     I have a complete back-up of our entire Adobe postscript library on a 100 MB ZipDisk, but I don't know if simply reinstalling the font files will correct the problem.     I don't want to make things worse by blind experiment.
                     All other font types remain in our Word font library list and are fully accessible; but none are as readable or as beautiful as postscript fonts.
                     Unfortunately, I am not a computer "techie", but I can follow instructions if I understand them.
                     Sincerely appreciative of knowledgeable assistance, I remain
                     Very truly yours,

    (1)     Never post a serial number of a product you've licensed on a public forum. We have taken the responsible liberty of replacing that serial number in your post with a series of Xs.
    (2)     This forum is associated with the PostScript programming language. Your problem has nothing to do with that whatsoever, but rather, with an event that somewhat mucked up fonts on your host computer system. If anyone in Adobe Technical Support told you to post on the PostScript forum, they were dead wrong. We are sorry for that bum information provided by our Technical Support organization.
    (3)     Adobe Type Manager Deluxe has not been supported by Adobe in any way for well over five years.
    (4)     There should be nothing that Microsoft Word or the user of same could do within Microsoft Word to cause the symptoms you describe. Neither Word nor Office do anything to uninstall fonts or modify the fonts.
    (5)     Without explicitly invoking ATM, ATM has no functionality or for that matter any known bugs that would cause the symptoms you describe.
    (6)     Windows' Font Control Panel likewise has no functionality or any known bugs that would cause the symptoms you describe.
    Any attempt to further analyze what happened on your computer would be totally a wide-assed guess. However, I could imagine hardware problems with your disk drive causing the type of symptoms you describe. If in fact you are using a computer system that was installed in May 2000 and especially if you are using the original disk drive, I suspect your luck in terms of system longevity may just have given out. (Ten years for a computer system and especially a disk drive is pretty long). Zip Disk? You'd better back that up to something more modern. Neither the drives nor media are readily available for that format anymore.

    How do I get more?

    This is not a DW limitation. It's a web limitation.
    Typography is still one of the weakest aspects of web design
    because, other
    than using images to show the words in your chosen font --
    which are not
    editable or searchable by Search Engines and increase
    download time --, the
    available (reliable) methods of specifying fonts rely on
    finding the fonts
    installed on the visitors local machine.
    This boils down to just a handful of fonts.
    You can add your own fonts manually by typing them into the
    code but there's
    no guarantee of them being viewed by your visitors.

  • Hp smart web printing: font is different from the one on internet page and hardly readable

    there is no space between etters in the printout which makes the text hard to read.
    How can I overcome this problem?
    System: XP
    Printer: HP laserjet  P2055d
    Internet Explorer 8

    In IE8 on the lowest toolbar, to the right hand side is a "tools" pull down. Click on it, then select "Explorer Bars", you should see one called "HP Smart Web Printing". If you do and it does not have a check by it, simply click on that option. An SWP toolbar should appear. If you do not have thswp line I would suspect an installation problem.
