Fonts missing – though I'm 100% sure I'm not using them

I've got a Keynote file, which I'm sure is only using one font ("Lato" from google fonts). Every time I open it, it says it's missing 2 more fonts (Cantarell and SourceSansPro).
I'm 100% sure the fonts are absolutely nowhere in the template. Not on any slide, and not in any Styles Preset:
I checked all presets and they only use Lato.
I duplicated the Keynote file and deleted all slides and all master slides apart from one. All I have left is an empty, white slide with absolutely no elements on it. Save -> reopen -> still says it's fonts missing!!
Does anyone know what the problem could be?

I created the file, but during the creation of the file, the Lato font was not installed – I'm 100% sure.
The square shape was copied over from another presentation I created. And THAT presentation was using the Lato font (though NOT in the shape I copied over). For the new presentation, I don't use Lato and I also don't want to have to install it. I don't want to run around in circles, particularly not with installing fonts on iOS.
Anyway – the square only serves as a simple example, in order to illustrate the problem in a concise way. There's a lot more shapes that I want to copy from the old "Lato" presentation to this new one. NONE of those shapes have any fonts or text inside them, yet they still come up with the "font missing" problem.
I'm hoping that someone from the Apple Support team is reading this.

Turn off Private Browsing.
Tap "Private" on Safari Screen to disable Private Browsing. When top of screen is white, Private Browsing is off.

Your template contains an IE Conditional Comment that is adding 30px of top padding to #sidebar1. This padding may required in older versions of IE but not IE9.

To fix it, change [if IE] to [if lt IE 9]

Keychain rejects password, even though it is correct (I'm 100% sure of it).

After trying to open my backed up os 9.2.2. keychains in the OS X Tiger iteration of Keychain access but seemingly being unable to (it asked to add the certificates to the keychain, which I did, but nothing was actually added and import doesn't work either), I decided to use classic instead.
When classic was running I opened keychain access, opened the selected the keychain, and it asked for the password. All good so far. Now I know the password to these keychain files. It's a simple password and easily remembered. I have entered it thousands of times over the years I used OS 9, it always worked. Well it did when I was booting from OS 9. When I enter the password however in classic, it fails saying the password is incorrect.
All three keychains I have fail with a wrong password error. But this simply cannot be because I am absolutely 100% sure the password I am entering is 100% correct. I'm not entering it with caps lock on or anything, I even made sure I was typing it correctly by typing it in a text file. Keychain access simple refuses to open the files. It says the password I'm entering is wrong, but it isn't.
Is there anything I can do to rectify this problem? I have tried erasing the preferences, then restarting classic, but it makes no difference. I tried making a new keychain with exactly the same password and that worked fine. It just doesn't like the old keychain files for some reason.
I can no longer boot into OS 9 either, not without doing a complete reinstall anyway which I'm not willing to do. Something is wrong somewhere but I don't know what. Anyone have any ideas? I'd appreciate it. In fact, it'd be much better if I could actually get the keychain to work with the OS X version of keychain access but I guess this is the wrong forum for that question.

I fixed it myself, I just used my backed up OS 9 system folder to start Classic and then I was able to enter the password and access the keychains. Why the newer system folder that came with OS X didn't work is beyond me.

Even in Safe Mode, minimize, restore, and close buttons are missing, though the functions remain, and a dialog box now comes up when opening FF.

Ever since I installed the latest Firefox update, the minimize, restore, and close buttons are visually missing, though their functions are still present.
I have also started to have one of those dialog boxes asking whether or not I would like to allow a program to make changes to my PC come up when I open Firefox.

Check that Firefox isn't set to run as Administrator.
Right-click the Firefox desktop shortcut and choose "Properties".
Make sure that all items are deselected in the "Compatibility" tab of the Properties window.
* Privilege Level: "Run this program as Administrator" should not be selected
* "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" should not be selected
Also check the Properties of the firefox.exe program in the Firefox program folder (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\).
If you can't make the changes then you need to start Windows Explorer as Administrator.

Font missing issues

After seemingly resolving 'font missing' message when opening a document, the font is still highlighted in pale pink and I can't seem to get rid of it. Can anyone help?

Strangely enough, I seem to have resolved the issue myself, by removing the fonts from Font Book. Your last reply popped up as I was removing them, and I was going to reload them to font book, however when I went to inDesign to open the document and get you some screenshots, the issue seemed to have resolved itself, leaving me baffled, as I thought I had to have fonts installed in Font Book to be able to use them?
I do have a secondary issue with another font, Knockout, though. I have added this to Font Book, for use in the same document (I had no issues with this one going missing though), but when I view it in Font Book, it appears as shown below? Do you know why?

Fonts Missing in Mail after upgrading to Leopard

After upgrading to Leopard, the fonts are missing in the font window in Mail program. I can compose only using what looks like helvetica. This is true only with this program. Any suggestions? Thanks

After an elimination process, it appeared that there was a conflict of some sort on one of the accounts I had and unfortunately, that was the one with the most messages. Its a pain but my only work around it was to start all over again with Mail. If it helps yo, this is what I did: a) backed up my Mail : user/library/mail and backed up the preference file : user/library/preferences/com.apple.mail.plist
b) removed the Mail preference : user/library/preferences/com.apple.mail.plist
c) restarted Mail and created the accounts all over again via the setup helper
d) imported the mail boxes from where I saved them including those in the 'pop' folder
Now I have they old messages available in a folder I renamed 'archived' that is in the "ON MY MAC" section of the side bar.
IT IS TEDIOUS AND I AM PRETTY SURE THERE IS A MORE ACCURATE SOLUTION OUT THERE TO THIS PROBLEM.

Font missing (not recognised)

I recently upgraded to CS3, am running XP home. When I open an Id file the Missing Font Dialogue box tells me there are a lot of missing fonts. Trouble is they are all there in the font folder and also visible on In Designs Type/font drop down list.
It seems as though CS3 has not recognized these fonts exist.
I can of course go through and manually substute all the fonts(with the same ones) but this is not ideal as I edit lots of different files.
The files are from a designer working with Mac OSX.
Does anybody have a solution??

The 0 kb file isn't a font (you'll see lots of "placeholder" files when
viewing Mac files on a PC), and converting fonts from Mac format to PC
format is a lot more work and art than any normal person wants to get
into. You'd probably end up with a slightly different font and have to
go through the same font substitution process you're trying to avoid.
What I meant by "exact same fonts" is that you and your designer go out
and buy the exact same Opentype font. Opentype fonts are cross-platform.
The same font file will work on both Mac or PC.
It is possible to get Truetype and Type 1 fonts in both Mac and PC
versions that are exactly the same (except for the platform) and will
not trigger substitution. But it's also possible to go out and buy the
the Mac and PC versions of the same font and still get substitution
problems.
You'll find also that while PCs can't use Mac Type 1 or Truetype fonts,
Macs *can* use PC Truetype fonts, and Mac Indesign (and other Mac Adobe
programs) can use PC Type 1 fonts if they're placed in Adobe's font folder.

Blackmoor font missing

After my husband's hard drive was replaced (MacBook, Tiger) he seems to be missing some things, even though the files were supposedly restored. He wants to use the Blackmoor font for a project, but it has gone missing. I have it on my computer, so I emailed it to him. I dragged it into the Fonts folder of the Library, but the computer is not recognizing it. We restarted the computer, and I also tried putting it into both libraries on his computer. What am I doing wrong?

From the sounds of it, you don't have the whole font. Type 1 PostScript fonts are a set. One file is a suitcase containing all of the low res bitmap screen fonts. The rest are the outline printer fonts. As an example, here's Adobe Garamond.

The first file which I highlighted in green is the font suitcase of bitmap screen fonts. The rest are the outline printer fonts.
1) The files for a Type 1 PostScript font must have both the screen and printer fonts for a given set in order to work. They also must be in the same folder.
2) The suitcase of bitmap fonts will work alone, but output will be terrible since the system will print the fonts using the 72 dpi screen fonts in the suitcase if the outline portions are missing.
3) Having only the outline fonts will not work. You will get exactly what you are having problems with. You can see the fonts, but they will not load. That's not a problem with Font Book, Suitcase or other font manager. None of them, nor the system itself will load outline fonts from a Type 1 PostScript font without the matching suitcase of screen fonts present.
So what it sounds like to me is that you sent over the outline printer font of a Type 1 PostScript font for Blackmoor, but not the screen font.
I did find a TrueType copy of "Blackmoor LET fonts" on one of my drives, but I don't think that font was ever part of OS 9.

After upgrading from Vista to Windows 7, Firefox lost all my stored passwords, never asks to save them, even though I've checked box for saving them, have made sure history is not cleared, and am not in Private Browsing.

In Windows 7, Firefox 8.0 does not ask to save passwords, and does not save, them, even though I checked the box to save passwords. I have confirmed that clearing history is not on and that I am not in Private Browsing. This is so frustrating, it almost makes me want to go back to Vista. I have looked at all the suggestions to fix the problem in "Help" and have followed the suggestions, and none of them help.

I have the TX2 1012NR and its can upgrade just fine! Here is a few recommendations "only if u have the HP Upgrade program disks"
If you have them you can install a clean copy and delete everything... Do not use the use me first disk included because it prompts you to install an older BIOS.... Just use the windows 7 upgrade disk and start the process. The clean install clears your entire drive but does not void your warranty! When you use the use me first disk after the install it actually loads everything else needed to get you up in running. The touchscreen driver and the HP Mediasmart programs will have to be downloaded from the HP support site. Once again its recommended that if there were any programs installed delete them do not try to update them! This causes issues and countless errors. Specifically with touchscreen drivers etc uninstall them before installing the ones from HP support. I found this was not the easy way to do it but the best way... I also recommend that when doing any sort of BIOS update that you remove your Battery and leave it connected to a power cord only! Last but not least if you really mess up and its under warranty... Send it to HP they will set it back up to factory defaults under Windows Vista with the more up to date BIOS installed. I hope my information helps! Sure you might loose some programs but in the end your computer runs faster and smoother because all the programs installed are made for Windows 7.... Not all fonts can be packaged depending on their licensing. Some fonts are set to not allow packaging. For those you would have to manually locate them on your computer and add them to the folder where the packaging occurred.
For the images have you checked the "copy links" option?
