Fonts required by Creative Cloud

I have a question about what fonts are necessary for CC in the in the user/library/fonts folder.
I'm running Yosemite 10.10.2 and Suitcase Fusion 6. Suitcase recommends emptying the user/library/fonts folder, and activating any needed fonts through Suitcase.
It sounds like from this article, nothing is needed, and everything required is delivered transparently via TypeKit. Is this accurate? (In the past, I believe Verdana was needed for Adobe Illustrator, for example.)

  • Which Adobe fonts are required by Creative Cloud

We try to keep our font libraries to a minimum. Which Adobe fonts installed with Creative Cloud are absolutely necessary for Creative Cloud to function properly? I've already determined that Hobo Std must be installed for Bridge to work properly. Anyone know of a listing of required fonts? All I can find is which fonts are added at installation, but I'm pretty sure they are not all necessary. Thanks!

  • Is it possible to use the fonts I have in my Mac Font Book with Creative Cloud software, such as Illustrator and Photoshop?

Is it possible to use the fonts I have in my Mac Font Book with Creative Cloud software, such as Illustrator and Photoshop?

    Hi Kyley,
Syncing fonts from CC is a feature of Typekit. However, fonts that you've installed manually on your system will be available in all your apps. You won't need to sync them.
I hope that helps. Let me know if you have any further questions.
    Cheers,

  • Why can't I turn on File and Font Sync in Creative Cloud?

Why can't I turn on File and Font Sync in Creative Cloud?

I'll send an email to that as well but the same issue occurs with file sync. I have this on my personal account but not our CC for teams accounts.
These are what I see when I click those tabs in my Creative Cloud window.
    Any help would be appreciated.

  • Does Adobe Bridge CC require a Creative Cloud Subscription Plan?

Hi.  We have a few users at our workplace that only require the use of Adobe Bridge CC and not any of the other Adobe CC apps.  Can one simply make an Adobe ID, use it solely to download and install Bridge CC and be able to use Bridge CC (and only Bridge CC) past the typical 30-day trial period WITHOUT signing up for a Creative Cloud subscription plan?  Or does one need to have either an active trial or an active subscription to be able to do this?
I was under the impression that Adobe Bridge CC was installed and managed separately from the rest of the Adobe CC apps and would be offered standalone for free.  If someone knows these details, I'd love to know too.  Thanks.

Bridge is nothing more than what used to be Photoshop's File Browser.
It is not offered for free, and it cannot even be installed or bought by itself.
You have to buy a single application that comes with it, such as Photoshop CS6, or subscribe to it, or subscribe to a single one of the CC applications, or suites.
    Your impression was wrong.

  • How can I make the font bigger in Creative Cloud?

Since I saw no other posts come up in the search, I need to know if I can make the Creative Cloud app itself have a bigger font.  I finally found where someone had shown how to do it for Photoshop.  (This is due to the fact I am on a Toshiba laptop with an Ultra 4K screen, resolution at 3840 x 2160.)  Basically I can barely read any of the app names to know what is available to install.
    Thanks for the help!!!

  • Change font size on Creative Cloud program

The program on my computer shows type that is so small I can barely read it. I have no idea how to change it and it's only when the creative cloud program is open and not on any of my other programs. It has the same effect on Photoshop when I open that app through the program. Can you help me make the font a normal size, like the rest of my programs?S

Sorry, OS X hasn't evolved to a scalable UI type for hard of seeing users. If you drop the resolution your type gets blurry.
    However I have two solutions.
1: You hit System Preferences > Accessibility and set a control key for zoom/in out, set the zoom to where the pointer is at and get a third party scroll wheel mouse. This way you hold the control key and can zoom in/out anywhere the mouse is pointed at.
2: You follow my User Tip here and use Firefox with the associated add-ons.
Since Firefox is customizable, your able to create larger menu type and have web pages automatically zoomed (full page, graphics and all) to your minimal needs.
Also FF will remember your window size so your not having to resize that each time you open the program. There is also a Full screen option.
Since web browsing takes up a lot of time on machines, at least you have that part licked. If you use web based email like GMail, since it's in a web browser that is zoomed as well.

  • How do I remove fonts installed by Creative Cloud / InDesign / Illustrator

I've just signed up and installed InDesign, Illustrator etc.
The process has installed lots of fonts such as Hobo and Chapparal which I will never want or need.
I'm a writer and editor; I have selected and bought fonts for my publications and documents. Some are my own choices, some are mandated by clients and business partners.
All these are installed as sets in Font Agent Pro. I do not want my Mac - and particularly not my font menus - invaded by other unwanted typefaces. It just makes work slow and messy. There's always the risk that one of the newcomers may clash / be confused with an existing font and cause widows, over-runs, wrong H&J etc etc.
Please tell me there's a solution. I've tried to remove them both using Font Book and manually from the font folder. Neither works. So I am assuming that they are installed by some kind of setup script. Any suggestions?

I'm very surprised that these fonts would be installed in Font Agent Pro. The installer is supposed to put them in your system fonts folder. They may actually have been there from a previous version.
In any case, you uninstall them by deleting the files from the font folders, and I would presume, not being a FAP user, by deleting the font sets.

  • Fonts included w/ Creative Cloud membership

I see that membership will include access to Adobe Edge Tools & Services, and this includes Typekit. Does Typekit include the following fonts?
    Helvetica Light
    Helvetica Oblique
    Helvetica Bold
If it does include these fonts, will they function with other softwares such as ChemBioDraw from Cambridgesoft?

I do not see those fonts included with Typekit. You can search for fonts from here https://typekit.com/fonts.
There are also Adobe Web Edge Fonts here http://html.adobe.com/edge/webfonts/. This is a free web font service that is powered by Typekit.
I am not familiar with ChemBioDraw and Cambridgesoft but if they display html pages in a web browser then Typekit (and Adobe Web Edge Fonts) will work.
If you have more questions about Typekit or need help you can search/post here https://typekit.com/help.

  • Does my MAC Air meet the system requirements for Creative Cloud

My 11-inch MacBook Air, purchased 8/22/13, has the following configuration:
1/3 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5, Turbo Boost up to 2.6GHz
    8GB 1600MHz LPDDR3 SDRAM
    128GB Flash Storage
I will be using Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and InDesign

Yes, I've been perusing this page and have spoken with tech support at Apple who referred me to Adobe.
Adobe lists a multi-core Intel processor. I have a Dual-Core Intel Core i5, Turbo Boost up to 2.6GHz. Is a Dual-Core the same as a Multicore?
    Multicore Intel processor
    Mac OS X v10.7.5, v10.8, or v10.9
    2 GB of RAM
1 GB of available hard-disk space for installation; additional free space required during installation (cannot install on a volume that uses a case-sensitive file system or on removable flash storage devices)
    1280 x 1024 display with 16-bit video card
QuickTime 7.6.6 software required for HTML5 media playback

  • How do I install my own fonts to use in the adobe creative cloud?

I have fonts that I have downloaded and used in a previous file but are not installed within the typekit.  Is there a way to load them into the creative cloud so that I can continue using the same font with the creative cloud?

    Hi lsiggins
Typekit is not font management software; it is a library of fonts that you can sync to your desktop to use alongside the fonts that you have installed locally. This tutorial shows how it works:
    http://help.typekit.com/customer/portal/articles/1145956
You will not upload your other desktop fonts to Typekit. You'll continue to manage them locally in Font Book, Suitcase Fusion, or another font management software.
I hope that this helps; let me know if you have any other questions. Best,
