When opening MS documents sent to me there are a great deal of fonts that are not part of the Pages library. I do not wish to change the fonts sent with the documents. What

This time I downloaded the Office demo to help two users with .xls files which Numbers can't decipher.
The free clones are also unable to decipher them correctly.
I opened them in the demo so I saw the way they were supposed to be treated and built scripts doing the job.
At this time, I'm downloading the XML converter in version 1.1.9
So I will be able to compare the two sets.

I understand that VoiceOver has been activated and you are unable to access your device. I have done this myself and here are the steps to disable this feature.

Many of the fonts on my PC are not available in InDesign CS5.5?

I am using a font called Narkisim in FW but it is not available in my InDesign CS5.5. I have checked the 'font' folder for InDesign and actually its empty, though the preset standard fonts are all there.
Really not sure whats going on here, please help? I really need to use Narkisim for this print job that I'm doing.

FW = FireWorks, I imagine.....
Is the font installed in one of the system font locations on a Mac or the System fonts folder on PC? If not it must be installed there, or in the Adobe common fonts folder, or ID's own private fonts folder to be seen by ID. If it is installed in a palce ID can see it, make sure you scroll through the whole font list. Some fonts are classified in odd ways and may be out of order alphabetically or included in one of the non-roman groups near the bottom of the list (In fact, Narkism seems to be a Hebrew font, so it should be listed near the bottom with other Hebrew fonts).
If you still can't find it, that may indicate that the font doesn't come up to the standards ID needs (it seems to be about 20 years old). ID is far more sensitive to imporper or bad font formatting than other applications.

Using XMLDB when XSD not Available.

I am evaluating the use of XMLDB for a project where XSD is not available for the source documents although they are structured. We will use Oracle 11gRel2.
At present we are storing the files as Unstructured, and the query performance is very poor -- even for small files (50MB). Is there a way to use other types such as Structured when we cannot provide an XSD?

Fonts used for dreamweaver program not working

Hi I had installed fonts on my computer using font book and since then, I can not load Dreamweaver! I turned off and deleted most of the fonts and dreamweaver will now load, however the font used for the system - Example - on the preferences screen - the font used by the program is wacked and the fonts on the intro screen are just crazy symbols.
I am wondering what fonts are used by default by Dreamweaver for the program itself to function. if I open font book at the same time - both programs crash. - thank you very much in advance!!!!

First open Font Book and validate all fonts. I believe you have to select all fonts cmd+a, and then click file->validate font. If any are corrupt, delete them. Also for future reference you may want to create a new collection (bottom left plus) with your custom fonts to avoid this issue in the future. Unfortunately, with a corrupt font this can be a long enduring process.

I just updated myself to the latest Jelly SMS a few days ago and it stopped working
I tried uninstalling / reinstalling like yourself, but the App store says it's not available in Ireland anymore. Lucky, I have the old version (4.0.5) synced on my laptop so I restored it. The old version works fine, but I lost all my texts.
As far as I've been able to find out, the developer (Finbar) is having trouble with Vodafone Ireland who recently introduced a CAPTCHA to their online SMS service, preventing Jelly SMS from working. He said he'd have a new version in the app store (Aug 28th); it appeared briefly but it didn't work so it was withdrawn in Ireland. A new version is on the way.
I've seen similar happen before, a serious bug is discovered shortly after an update and the app gets withdrawn for a time, then a fix appears later on. Fixes can take a little longer to appear in the app store (compared to Android) as Apple review submitted apps before they're released.

I want to build a JSF portlet with JSC 2.1. I am playing with the tool a little bit and I am experiencing this error after running the project:

No, I haven't figured it yet. And it seems that nobody ever had.
JSCreator is buggy. If it weren't for free, I would have never use it. It has so many issues, you will see so many exceptions and experience so many annoyances... And of course, it is very hungry for resources. I am sure that a lot of people will disagree, but that's my opinion. I've been using Eclipse for 4 years now.
However here are some tips (Windows only):
Delete directory .Creator from Documents and Settings.
Uninstall creator, install creator. Don't install it to Program Files, install it to C:\Sun or smth like that, the space character can do some mess.
Again, put your project somewhere, so the path would not contain spaces.
Sometimes just restarting the server helps. I've had to reinstall Creator three times yet.

Update not available for Pages, Numbers, Keynote

I'm trying to update numbers, pages and keynote (after I performed the os x yosemite update), and I keep receiving an error message that says "This update is not available for this Apple ID either because it was bought by a different user or the item was refunded or cancelled." I am using the same Apple ID as when I bought the computer back in '09 (macbook pro), any suggestions?

Perform the following, stopping with the first one which works:
1. Open the Mac App Store's Purchases tab. If you're prompted to accept them into your Apple ID, do so.
2. Move them out of the Applications folder(they may need to be put into the Trash temporarily), and then see if you can download them for free from their individual product pages. If you're asked to buy them, see #3.
3. Click here, contact Apple, and wait for a response.
4. Buy them.

But i have checked router side, no problem found because router is working with other device laptops and other devices,
if any one know the issue, please help me....

I am having the same issue. Its says that the server has stopped running. THis has gone on for three days straight. First time it fixed it by powering down the unit, the next time it worked resetting the network settings. Now its happened again and these two options do not work either. What do I do or what could be wrong??

Webdings font used infopath list form not displaying in firefox

We are using expand and collapse functionality in infopath 2010 using section along with buttons. We are using button text as webdings font to display up and down arrow mark. This works fine on IE. But not on firefox instead of arrow its displaying number
5 and 6. How can we display that in firefox as well.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Rajasekar,
It seems Firefox cannot render the webdings font if we use it in InfoPath, per the following similar post, you can use the "Times New Roman" as a workaround, please see more from the following reference.

Picking the font/symbols is more limited than this would initially have you belief. Testing later, I found that the characters chosen didn't render in Webdings font in any Firefox or Safari. Neither did symbols in any of the Wingdings fonts render
correctly. They worked fine in IE, but not in other browsers.
My workaround was to instead choose a web safe font Times New Roman, choose the arrow characters from that font in character map to copy and paste. Those work across the board in all three of the aforementioned browsers.
Kind of weird because as far as I understand, Webdings, Wingdings, Wingdings 2, and Wingdings 3 are all supposed to be supported by Firefox and Safari . . . maybe it's something to do with SharePoint in combination with browsers other than IE? "

Font pulldown not available in Page Properties

When I create a new html document then go to Modify > Page
Properties there is no font pulldown menu anymore.
I'm not sure what preferences I changed, and can't figure out
how to get it back. I noticed when I now change background color
and margins they appear in the body tag instead of css also which
is weird.

I've tried going back a forth between the Page Properties
Appearance panel and Title/Encoding panel while changing Encoding,
Unicode, and Include BOM options but haven't found the magical
combination that brings back the default font selection menu on the
Appearance panel.
There use to be a "Default font" menu on the Page Properties
panel right?
Maybe I should be trying something totally different?

Export Crystal to PDF using C# https hyperlinks not available

Background:
A columnar crystal report has been created detailing financial information. The second column in the report is an invoice number. If the report user clicks on the invoice number, a hyperlink is used to access the invoice pdf.   The link is displayed on mouse over when the user is in the pdf document. This works fine when the link is a http link or https link and was created from the crystal reports client.   The problem exists with the merge modules. A C# program was created to read a database containing report names and parameters and generate the reports from the .rpt file. Several hundred reports are then deployed to a web server. This process has been working successfully for a couple years with hyperlinks embedded in reports. The hyperlinks have all been http, not https.
Please note the hyperlinks were created by formatting a field and choosing hyperlink. The hyperlink type is a website on the internet. https works from both the manual entry and formula editor when running from the crystal reports client. It does not work if the report is run using the merge modules.
Problem:
When using the Crystal report merge modules version 10.2.3600, http links are available but https links are not avaiable.   if the http link is in UPPERCASE, the link also does not show up in the pdf document.
The reports all create successfully, just when created and exported using the merge modules, one cannot click on a field in the report and access an https link, but they can access an http link.
Is there a security setting that is different when running from the crystal reports client than when using the Crystal report documents.

Yes. Crystal reports designer. I create the report in the designer, right click and format a field. For the sake of example, the field is an invoice number.   My intent is to click on the invoice number and a pdf invoice will be displayed through the hyperlink. The pdfs are all precreated.
Note: In designer, the invoice field was formatted to have a hyperlink but shows the invoice number to the person looking at the report. The hyperlink was added in designer by right clicking on the invoice field, choose hyperlink, then choose a website on the internet.   The website specified on the internet is an https link. This works fine when using designer.
The problem is when the report is created using the merge modules. The merge modules are for visual studio 2005.
A C# program was developed to automate the build of several hundred reports in batch. The output format of the reports is a pdf.   When viewing the pdf created from the c# program using the merge modules, the https links appear to be not recognized when you mouse over the invoice field. If the hyperlink is an http address and not an https address, the link appears when you mouse over the invoice field. By holding the mouse on a field, the link displays on the screen.
Also when using the merge modules, if the http is uppercase like HTTP://www.xyz.com, the link will not be available in the pdf also.   Please note, the pdf viewer was also upgraded.

Shared Component User Interface Templates not available for page use.

Hello.
I created a new User Interface Template using the wizard under shared components. All it's supposed to do is display a header image on the page. I can click on the title under User Interface Templates and it will display fine. If I try to use that template, it will not display as an option under Display Option use custom template LOV under the Main tab of page modifications. Shouldn't it be available here for selection? I couldn't find any access grant options under Shared Components that might have explained this problem.
