in my layout my customer wants all pages contains the record upto last .
if i will dispaly upto last in main window , then where i will make the footer .
when i am making the footer in first page all the pages footer space is comming blank
which my custmer does'n't want.

AP Check Display check total on all pages

Hi,
I am working on AP check report. I need to display Check total on all pages(in case of overflow invoices). Only for the very first OutboundPayment group the check total is populated under PaymentAmount/Value and for rest of all overflow invoices(OutboundPayment group) this value is 0. I need to display the check amount on all pages. I have created a check_total2 variable to capture the check amount but this variable does not get the check amount on the first page. Now I am trying to use decode to display the check total. But when I use decode function, the values not displaying correctly, it is showing some random number/characters.
Variable defintion - <?xdoxslt:set_variable($_XDOCTX, 'check_total2', PaymentAmount/Value) ?>
Decode Condition - <?xdofx:decode(PaymentAmount/Value,'0',xdoxslt:get_variable($_XDOCTX, 'check_total2'),PaymentAmount/Value)?>
Below is the data -

Thanks for your help. My problem has been solved. Below is the code which worked for me(all the credit goes to BIPuser).
Define variable "check_total" at check template level
Defined another variable "display_total" at check stub template level
check_total - <?xdoxslt:set_variable($_XDOCTX, 'check_total', PaymentAmount/Value) ?>
display_total - <?xdoxslt:set_variable($_XDOCTX, 'display_total', xdoxslt:ifelse(PaymentAmount/Value='0', xdoxslt:get_variable($_XDOCTX, 'check_total'),PaymentAmount/Value))?>
Now the column where I needed to display the total, I used
USD$<?format-number:xdoxslt:get_variable($_XDOCTX, 'display_total');’999G999D99’?>
This solved my problem.

How to add 1 inch of white space to all pages?

How do you add a uniform amount of blank space to the top of all slides in the PDF? I have a 53 page PDF and I now need to add a 42 pixel high navigation menu above all pages without overlapping the contents of those pages. What is the easiest, most efficient way to do this? I have tried Pages > Crop, double click > Change page size: Custom, enter in 1 more inch of height. But that must be done for each slide individually and is extremely inefficient. That also ins't working because if I try to make it add just 42 pixels/less than a couple inches it fails to resize. It makes me add 2-3 inches before it'll do anything.

That leads to the same window as the Crop tool. So there is no way to add i.e. an inch to a page, just to reset length of the page as a specific # of inches? Each page will be a different # of inches, but I want them all to be 1 inch longer than they are right now. I am beginning to suspect there may not be a feature for that.

Displaying Dashboard Prompt For All Pages..

You need to add it manually to each page. Or else add this to one page and copy the same layout to other pages using catalog manager.
Best thing is to add manually to each page.

Static footer and header pasted into all pages - the only way with JSF?

Hello!
What are the known patterns to deal with the use case in the subject ? Every tutorial I've seen suggest to copy and paste the header and footer into different views. Even if it is only the include statement that is being copied, I would not want to do this. I would rather do a single page with the single footer and single header and dynamically include the dynamic view. However, to achieve this, it seems the only way is to hard code all of the possible include statements for the views at compile time, using an EL's if then. This is also not a lot of fun, if one has hundreds of different views to include. Also, using this approach one would basically have to give up the JSF's navigation, which is based on the name of the jsp file. And since there will be only one main jsp file the JSF navigation will be restricted to a single one page - many outcomes navigation node. Won't be able to do anything more complex than that. Bad too.
Any inputs would be appreciated.
p.s. I am new to JSF, but to call it an MVC framework seems to be a stretch: navigation should happen in the controller part not in the view - and that is what is happening by virtue of describing the navigation in terms of the raw jsp-files - the view. Can anybody argue with this?

Check out facelets, which adds useful templating and other nice features to JSF. You are still stuck with navigation-by-XML, which I agree is silly.

Footer stuck in middle of all pages

HELP!!!! This is the nearest I have got to publishing a website which says a lot for Muse. I did not like my Favicon so went to change it and ended up removing background colour and page colour but eventually have the new favicon in place. Page and background colour in place.I think I managed this by restoring them to the main master. Muse, however did not want it to be that easy so I now have my footer stuck in the same place in the middle of all my pages. What have I done? This was supposed to be final editing before publishing. Please , any help would be much appreciated.

As to your question about how you would have found out about this?
Well, there is a few ways ... mainly plenty of tutorials both paid and free on the net. Sometimes it is better to research how the product works before using it. But if you are like me you don't know you need a feature until you need it. So how can you research it?
Three things I pass on to my classes when I do some Dreamweaver teaching is:
Explore every menu you can find to first see what is there.
Right mouse click on 'everything'. Anything you can right mouse click on - do it. That is always where the pot of gold is.
Build something, break it, tear it down, build something, break it, tear it down .... repeat often.
#2 is how I originally found the footer item option that is the topic here. But then again, had I actually viewed the getting started tutorials on the welcome screen I would have known that. But as a typical male ..... my theory is usually 'instructions? Who needs 'em?! I can work this thing.'
But the best way to learn is number #3 - just do stuff. Make a blank page and actually attempt to make the ugliest web page in the world. That is actually one of the assignments I give students in my Dreamweaver class. You would be suprised at the features they find and try to see what it does. Seen some pretty ugly pieces of work get a A+ ;-)
Then there is always the forums here for when you really get stuck ;-)

Issue in footer display in PDF doc. where in smartforms footer is displayed correctly

I have created a smart forms and done some work around to
display a footer on the last page only then by changing it into OTR for PDF
display.
I am getting the Form output as it was required but am not
getting the PDF ditto same as smart form output display, the issue that am
getting in PDF is that, I am getting the footer in all the pages of PDF.

Porblem in displaying the data in main window and footer in sapscript

I have created a 2 pages with a main window and 6 footer windows for purchase requistion printout. My requirement is footer windows should only be displayed at the last page. If i bring the footer window at the last page there is blank space in all pages after the main window since the main window size is smaill, if i increase the main window size it is overlaping footer windows at the last page.
I want the main window shouldbe big and footer should be displayed at the last page.
please hellp me to solve this.

If you want to position footer texts right after the last line of the MAIN data (thus, anywhere in the page), you define them as text nodes inside the MAIN window, and you use a template node if you wan't to position them precisely.
If you want to position footer texts relatively to the page edges (and not relatively to the MAIN), do like this (as my previous answer is wrong):
- define your footer windows in the same page of the MAIN, select condition "Only after main window" (so that the windows will be printed on the page of the last line of the MAIN data.
- If the footer windows span over the MAIN window (because you want to maximize MAIN window height on all pages except last where you put the footer, as it was the case for Gayathri), you must add a template node inside the MAIN window, as the last element. Its height must be equal to the part of MAIN that is overriden by the footer windows, so that a new page is triggered automatically if there is no sufficient space and the footer windows will be printed on next page, and if there is enough space, the footer windows will be printed at the bottom of current page.

Place you image there in new page header
Check the option Underlay Follwing sections

How to display the search result without reloading the whole page

HI,
I have separate fragments for Search Box to enter keyword and Search Result to display the result. Also I have different sections within the page to put these fragments. So how could I display the results without reloading the whole page.
Also if I have next button in my search result area, how could I display the search results in next page without reloading all other sections present in our page. Please let me know if any service or idoc function present such that result could be shown in search result section without reloading whole page.
Please let me know how to restrict page reload for every action within a page.

This is default behaviour of the template of your space. You can create a new page template and than you can create a region for the search results.
Or you can create a custom taskflow were you use the webcenter taskflows to search for the space.

Footer in all pages

Hi all,
I have 1 page in a script with 3 windows
Header MAIN AND FOOTER
I have some hardcoded text in header and footer and want it in every page
I see my header and footer if i have very few records say if the records in my main window fits in page no 1 i can see the footer and header
if the records exceeds the main window of page 1 then i don't see foote rin page 1 but i see it in the second page
That means the footer is being displayed only in last page
I don't have any conditions in my code
Is there naything i have to do to print footer in every page
Again, in the output i see footer space blank for page 1

Hi,
The reason is that, even though your window content is Footer as per business requirement, but technicaly the property of the requirement seems to be a normal window. Hence I proposed the trick.
A footer is meant to be printed at the last. But in your case it was more of content in every page. So it is not footer technically but a regular window which would display the values in the required format.
