Footer menu and drop up menu

Hi, anyone have implemented an iView for footer menu with a drop up menu?
My menu is affected from some conflicts with javascript for drop up and javascript described in "Best Practices for Changing the Portal Look and Feel" ("Footer iView in Framework Page" code sample).
Anyone have some code for this View?

You will find that Flash does not suffer the issues with SEO that it may have in the past, and in some cases you can probably do even better including it. Having your footer menu can help as well... even a standard html design will include one for access sake when the main menu involves something other than straight text links.

... and mysteriously, it's gone again. Multiple reboots across the day between then and now, plus a few hibernations as I moved about. It's as if Finder cached the [deleted!] workflow file and continued to operate off of the cache for an indeterminate time....

Hi all.
I've spent a fair amount of time perusing the archives, so I don't have to bother you all with the basic questions. Great thanks to Wyodor, Old Toad, Ethmoid and Cyclosaurus for their excellent and oft-repeated tutorials.
With your help, I've figured out how to set up a personal domain name, modify my background image, and create a drop-down menu. (These were major accomplishments for a neophyte like me.) My primitive template can be seen here:

And I am pretty happy with it. I have one problem, and one minor element that I'd like to fix.
The drop-down menu was created following the excellent tutorial from the iWebfaq but I notice that although it looks perfect there is one malfunction. If you hover and try to select an element where there is no underlying content, it works fine. When you try to select a list item with underlying content, however, the drop-down disappears. Any idea why that happens or how I can fix it? I suppose I could just add a space buffer, but that is an inelegant solution.
On a more trivial note, the background was actually supposed to be composed of two images. The top row was supposed to be a horizontal set of tiles (slightly darker in color) and the rest of the background was tiled in a second image, giving a gradient effect. I used the script Wyodor described here with repeat set to yes which gave me single-image tiling. Looks OK, but if I could get both sets of tiles used it would add substantial richness to the visual effect. Ideas?

I appreciate your reply but those arrows were not the ones I was trying to describe. In the same box where you would type your web address on the far right is a small star and then next to it an arrow pointing down. If you click on this arrow, it normally drops down a list of the websites you commonly use. Or, if you are on a website ordering something, there might be a similar arrow that you need to select in order to choose which shipping you might want such as ground, next day air, etc., these are the kinds of arrows that are not working correctly now. Any ideas on these? Thanks for trying to help me.

Problem with checkbox and drop down menu

I am using DW8 with PHP/MySQL.
I made a insertion form and a couple of the fields are
checkboxes and another is a drop down menu. Everything works fine,
however, when I create an update form and the recordset calls the
data it doesn't retain its values on those items.
For example, if I checked a box when inserting the record and
then call the data up for the update form, the box is not checked,
making the user believe it was never checked in the first place.
The same thing goes for the drop down menu. If I have 3
options in the menu and someone selects the third one, when the
update form is used it defaults to the first option automatically
instead of actually calling up the original value selected.

The fact that two scripts do not work together does not mean
there is a bug in the RH script. It is simply that they were not
designed by their respective developers to work together. This
happens with multiple scripts in any html file.
Try creating a new project and then importing just this topic
into it. Does it still have the problem?

Why does the drag and drop context menu always popup when dragging files between windows explorer instances ?

I have fusion 7.1.1 on an iMac 27 inch retina. 32GB ram of which 6GB assigned to Fusion and 2 cores. Windows 7 Home Premium installed. Mostly working fine but a few funnies. First and foremost: Whenever I drag and drop between instances of windows explorer, I get the little pop-up context menu offering me Copy Here / Move Here etc. etc. I have never known Windows to ask me what I want to do when I drag stuff - why is this happening ? I have scoured the net for info on this and found nothing. Please note that this is NOT associated with the Start Menu (For which I found a zillion solutions to whatever that problem is). Also, It is NOT to do with stopping drag & drop and Context menus: yes, I know how to do that but that is NOT what I'm asking to get rid of. This may not be related but I have also had to set my Internet Properties / Explorer settings / Launching-applications-and-unsafe-files to "Enable" to prevent every shortcut I create causing a "Do you want to run this ... ?" message every time I click on them. Doing this has caused WIndows 7 to turn into a finger-wagging safety-nanny glaring at me over its demi-lune spectacles.

In your sequence, on the left most column you should see a V1 (left of the Lock Track button). Click that to make sure its highlighted, it allows you to drop video to the sequence.

Pop Up Window and Drop Down Menu Question PLSS Help

Ne help would be appreciated I am designing a website in
Dreamweaver, I need to know how to create a custom drop down menu.
Is there anyway that instead of using the standard drop down menu,
you can customize them e.g use an image instead. For example, when
you rollover lets say Home a drop down appears but the menu is
customised e.g colour, text and any other small details.
Even when using the standard drop down menu, how can you have
a particular text, whenever I go to edit font list it does not show
the typeface, although it is activated in suitcase.
Secondly, how can I create a custom pop up window?

Email form script with custom text field and drop-down menu?

And I was looking for a script that could possibly send an email to me with the info a user chooses from/puts in 1. dropdown menu 2. text field 3. another text field. I'd be awesome if the fields could have a custom background or a transparent background.The drop-down menu could have any background, but it would be awesome if it could be made with custom images !

Copy text fields and drop down menu fields

Hi,
Using LiveCycle Designer ES, I am making a simple form with some text fields and along with some drop-down menu fields. With the resulting pdf, I need for one to be able to select the appropriate selection in the drop-down menus. Then using cntl-a to select everything and then cntl-v to copy it into a text document. This approach will only copy the text fields and not what is showing in the drop-down menu field. Is there any way to solve this problem? The end users computer has limited tools and software cannot be installed on it.

I don't really know if the text field can be selected using Ctl+a, but if that is possible how about adding extra text field that is linked to pulldown menu?
If the usage of the PDF is only for copying, then I would make a formcalc or javascript to combine all the text into one text field so that user only need to copy paste one field.

JavaScript and Drop down menu help?

I'm having trouble trying to get options in my drop down menu to update in another section. I have the below script in a hidden field and everything seems to be working but it keeps picking up the last line only when doing calculations (i.e 48) when I change it in the drop down menu to say "HBZ-200" which has the value of 200 it is still only picking up the last line and value of 48.
So to put a little perspective on things the below script is in a hidden field called stndwatt, I then want to calculate that in another hidden field called calc which has the following calculations - (Qty3+ballconsump)-stndwatt, this should then update my visible field called ElectYear1 which then has the calculations of - (Qty1+Qty2)*(Qty4*Qty5*Qtycost*calcs*weeksinyear)/1000, as far as I can work out my stndwatt field is only picking up the last line below which is 48.
I'm sorry if this is vague I'm not very familar with JavaScript or PDF forms and have been scratching my head all day with this.

Are you sure the code you posted here is EXACTLY the same as the code in
your file? Did you copy&paste it?
If so, can you share the file in question?

Premiere Element 10 crashes on drag and drop disc menu

Hi I am running premiere elements 10 on mac osx 10.9
I am trying to use the disc menu and each time I drag the chosen template onto the window, the program crashes.

You want to know why I wouldn't go near adobe again?
So this is what happened.
After paying for prem elements 10 and spending a week trying via adobe's tech support, you and the forums to find a solution for their program crashing, their only solution was buy a new version and we dont support programmes that are 2 yrs old.
It took them 3 days to get back to me to tell me that they would award me 20% discount from the cost of an upgrade.
When I finally got through to sales, the saleman told me that his system doesnt support at 20% discount but only a 15% discount. It took him 45 mintues to get an ok to give 20%. Then he discovered that I am no longer domicile in NY so he cant help me. Sent me to the UK support line to start the entire process again.
After 3 days and hours on hold with UK support/sales, they told me that cant transfer the 20% discount because that was given by the US customer services and that they need some time to get authorisation.
Two days later they got back to me and said they can give me the 20% discount from an inflated prices of 160%! ie instead of 20% of $79.99, now they can give me 20% off £79.99! I explained that this was unfair, they asked for another 48 hrs to escalate, still waiting for them to come back to me.
So I just called the USA support gave them an america cc and they finally agreed after 30 minutes with a friendly girl who could actually speak English with an intelligible accent that I could get prem elements 12 for 20% off $79.99.
Great? Well not really.
The stupid girl charged me $70 for premiere photoshop 12! I only discovered she had sent me the wrong serial number once the email arrived.
I called her back, she apologized and opologized and then took a further $70 promising to refund me the first $70 and explained that she could only refund me after she charged me for the correct license.
Once she charged me for the second time, she said, just in order to make sure you get your money back, pls hold I need to transfer you to refunds! Oy no!! Another 30 mins on hold.
So when I finally got through to some guy who spoke English with such a heavy Indian accent that he could of been offering me dinner for two, he promised to escalate my case and that someone with a heavier Indian accent would call me back within the next five days in order to give me a refund.
So, NO, I wont be buying from this pathetic company again.
I appreciate your help and support on this matter and realise you are not to blame for adobe's clear lack of support or the slightest regard for its clients time or money.

All the text in the Firefox dropdown menu and the toolbar menu has disappeared. How do I get it back?

When I try and open the Firefox drop down menu there is no text to explain the different options. The same thing happens when I try and right click, there is no text only blank spaces. If someone can help I would really appreciate it. I have used Firefox for a long time and I would hate to have to stop using it. I can post screenshots if needed.

Do a clean reinstall and delete the Firefox program folder before (re)installing a fresh copy of the current Firefox release.
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.

Uninstall your current Firefox version, if possible, to cleanup the Windows registry and settings in security software.

Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.

CHOPPY VIDEO ON MENU AND DROP ZONES

I am ready to burn the DVD but the video on a menu page is very choppy. The drop zone is rotating slowly, etc.
Any ideas on why this is happening? Any ideas on how to fix it?

As good practice save the project as a disk image (File->Save as Disk Image menu option) instead of burning directly to disk. This allows you to play the disk image in DVD Player to verify that the encoding of the project was good. If the project plays OK in DVD Player you can then burn that disk image to disk with Disk Utility at the slowest speed available. If there is any problems with the disk playing it can then be narrowed down to the burn process. Also use the top grade media. Verbatim, Taiyo Yuden or Maxell -R are the most recommended brands in this forum.

There are multiple problems with your code:
- You're using irregular quotes
- You're not inserting the cChoice variable correctly into the string
- Using openDoc you can't specify open parameters like this
And no, you can't create pop-ups without JavaScript. But you can use plain text field for the list of items and a button with a JS code that takes the selection and uses it to open the file.
