Footer overflow in dynamic table

Hi,
great forum here.. so i have a  problem with livecycle form...
I build up a form with a dynamic table, adding rows with a click on "+".
The footer is working correctly ( once visible on the end of the table, not repeated) .
One cell in the first row is growing automatically, depending on the text which is entered.
If the table does not fit on the page ( because of the added rows or because of the text in the cell ) , there is a break and the table is continuing on the second page.
These work fine.
Problem:
But if the table is broken on the second page, and i will click "+" for adding new rows, 1 or 2  rows are added on the first page;
because there is space left, because of the footer, which is now on the second page.
changing the free-area on master page did not help me.
my given conditions are:
the footer have to be tied on the last row of the table, that means: if the table is broken, at least one row should appear on the second page.
Can anybod help me please ?
here is my document:

thanks

Did you set the permission to allow everybody to view the file on acrobat.com?  I am able to log in to acrobat.com -  and I am logged in, but it tells me I need the latest Flash Player.  I have just installed the latest and rebooted my iMac, but I still can't access your file.  So I can't view your table...
One way around this is to create the table from individual objects, i.e., if each row has one Text and one Numeric cell = two cells per row, then
drag a Text field onto the Layout page, followed by a Numeric field.
wrap them in a subform.
Now you have your row.  Then add the leader (header) and/or trailer (footer) objects. Proceed from here with your '+' and so forth.
Conclusion - a table doesn't have to start with the formal Table object.  You can create your own manual (more flexible) table.

  • Problem in displaying dynamic table placed in master page

    Hi all,
    I have placed a dynamic table in my master page. When the page overflows the dynamic table is shown only in 1st page. I want this table to be shown in every page. Please help me solve this.
    Regards,
    Devaiah

    hi,
    Thank you all for your reply. But i cannot keep the table in body page as i want this table to be displayed in every page in the header.  Actually i am displaying an address through this table.
    I have moved the content area in master page to center and reduced its size and in the body page i have placed a table which will display the report. When this table overflows to next page all the contents in master page are shown except for the address table in master page. I am not sure whether i am doing it the right way as i am bit new to adobe forms.
    Please let me know where am i going wrong. Also please suggest me some alternative method ( if any ) to display the address in every page if the above method is not feasible.

  • Dynamic tables on one page - overflow problem with repeating header/footer

    Hi,
    with the help of the user RADZMAR I was able to create dynamic tables..
    But now, I have got the next problem.
    2 different tables are placed on 1 page.Each of them should be dynamic.
    Please let me list what is working, and what not:
    each textfield should be expandable (-> working)
    Table 01 should be overflowing to page 02 (-> working)
    Table 02 should be overflowing to page 02 (->working)
    Table 02 should be scrolling to page 02 if tabele 01 is growing (->working)
    Table 01 and Table 02 should be splittable (->working)
    header 02 + the footer 02 ( from table 02) should be repeated on every page (->working)
    header 02 + the footer 02 ( from table 02) should not be stand alone, indepentenly on which page (-> NOT WORKING)
    In other words:
    How can I reach, that the header and the footer enclose at least ONE textfield-row ?
    The setting "keep with previous / following" did not helped me.
    If the text in table 02 is large, the settings "keep with..." cause some layout destructions.
    This is the screenshot of the problem:

    Your question was "... but the font on the footer is much larger than that of the template", yes?
    I only can repeat, look at the difference of:
    1. index.html (Font-size > medium) >
    2. Calendar.html (Font-size > no entry):
    > "... font on the footer is much larger than that of the template",

  • Dynamic table header/footer on multiple pages stay original

    hi experts,
    i've got a form with a dynamic table. this means that i have a footerrow with mapped information if it should be visible or not. so the table can have from 1 to 40 columns.
    i did some scripting in the table's initialize section:
    loop over count of colums and set the headerrow, row1 and footerrow elements for index x to hidden.
    everything works out fine BUT if the data spans over multiple pages the headerrow on pages 2 to last is original again. means that the hiding of cells is not effective any more. same with footerrow (but here its fine at last page and original at  page 1 to last -1).
    i tried to hide cells again in layout:ready section for the other instances of the headerrow.
    cells got hidden, but the still visible cells didnt relocate to the left (if i hide it, there should be no space between staying cells).
    can anyone please give me a hint what i am missing here?
    does anyone have a simple sample for this task? its all about the header/footer for multiple pages!
    thanks a lot!
    daapoo

    When the footer goes to the 2nd page the page subform is incremented so you will have to reference the page subform as well. I suggest that you add a button (this is for a test only) to the footer subform and add the code app.alert(this.somExpression). Now render the form and make sure the footer stays on one page. Hit the button and take note of the someExpression. Now add enough rows to force the footer to a new page. Hit th ebutton again and take note of the changed somExpression. So to solve your problem you will have to find out which page your footer is on. and then construct your expression to incorporate this chane in expression. Note that the indexes are 0 based but the page numbering is 1 based.
    Hope that helps

  • Sum of Values from previous rows in a dynamic table

    Hello,
    I have a dynamic table has multiple rows (added dynamically via a button).  One column in the table is a Quantity column.  Another is a Total column.  We do not want to keep a running total, but only wish to display a total when the rest of the cells in that row are emty and the previous row(s) has/have values in the Quantity column.  The Total is the sum on the Quatnities up to a blank row.  Below is a sample.  How do I get teh value of the Quantities in the previous rows?
    Quantity
    Total
    5
    8
    12
    25
    7
    27
    34
    22
    22
    Another option might be to put the Total in the last row with data as opposed to the row below the data.
    Any ideas?
    Regards,
    Karl

  • Problem with Dynamic Table Name

    Hello all,
    I am having trouble using a dynamic table name. I have the following code.....
    declare l_cur sys_refcursor;
    l_ID int;
    l_tableName varchar(30);
    BEGIN
    open l_cur for
    select hkc.ColumnID, mapping from &HKAPPDB_Schema_Name..doctablemapping ddm
    inner join &HKDB_Schema_Name..HKColumns hkc on hkc.doctablemappingid = ddm.id
    where ddm.id > 0;
    LOOP
         FETCH l_cur into l_ID, l_tableName;
         EXIT WHEN l_cur%notfound;
         -- update missing VerbID in DocumentDocMapping table
         UPDATE &HKAPPDB_Schema_Name..IndexedDocument
         SET VerbID = (SELECT t.VerbID
                             FROM (SELECT DocRef, VerbID, DateUpdated
                                  FROM &HKAPPDB_Schema_Name..l_tableName dd        - this is where the dynamic table name is used
                                  WHERE dd.VerbID is not NULL))
         WHERE HKColumnID = l_ID AND VerbID is NULL;
    END loop;
    end;
    /When I try to execute this i get an error
    ORA-00942: table or view does not exist
    What am I doing wrong?
    Regards,
    Toby

    I only started about 6 weeks ago, with no tutorials and learning it on the fly; Same here.. only my introduction was to a 12 node Oracle OPS cluster all those years ago.. and required a whole new mind set after using SQL-Server extensively. But it was fun. Still is. :-)
    but thats what you get when a company throws you in at the deep end with a ridiculous time constraint to migrate a whole MSSQL DB.Migrating SQL-Server to Oracle is not a simple thing. A lot of best practices in SQL-Server are absolutely worse practices in Oracle - they are that different. Simple example is lock escalation - an issue in SQL-Server. In Oracle, the concept of a lock being escalated into a page lock simply does not exist.
    In terms of getting the migration done as quickly and painlessly as possible I try to reuse all the logic as it appears in the MSSQL code - in this case it was using dynamic table names. I do not doubt that i am probably shooting myself in the foot in the long run.....As long as you do not splatter too much blood on us here.. not a problem :D
    Seriously though - just keep in mind that what works in SQL-Server may not work as well (or even at all) in Oracle. So do not hesitate to refactor (from design to code to SQL) mercilessly when you think it is warranted.

    All i want is that when users click on SUBMIT button values of point column in s_lessons(database table) be updated by new entries from user.
    i did my best and result with that code is :
    You  have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to  your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ' lid=888,  sid=860935422, term=902' at line 1
    I would appreciate any idea.
    with prior thanks

    Go to the Row Properties, and in the Visibility tab, you have "Show or hide based on an expression". You can use this to write an expression that resolves to true if the row should be hidden, false otherwise.
    Additionally, in the Matrix properties you should take a look at the filters section, perhaps you can achieve what you wish to achieve through there by removing the unnecessary rows instead of just hiding them.
    It's only so much I can help you with the limited information. If you require further help, please provide us with more information such as what data are you displaying, what's the criteria to hiding rows, etc...

  • Dynamic Table row breaks only on the first page (not on second)

    Hello,
    I biuld a dynamic table with Livecycle.
    If the text in the last field is to long, the table grows automatically.
    If the end of the first page is reached, the row breaks over from the first to the second page(= 1st break)
    This works correctly.
    But if the text is longer, and the field have to break from the second to the third page, the field does not break!!
    Please see the attached file.
    The settings should be correct, because the break ( from 1st to the 2nd page) works.
    But why, is the "dynamic behaviour " limited to only ONE page ?
    Can you help me please ?
    Thanks....

    Danke für die korrigierte Datei.
    Jep, bei deiner Datei funktionierts.
    Ich habe alle Einstellungen genauso angeklickt wie Du, aber trotzdem funktionierts nicht in meiner Tabelle.
    Kannst du Dich erinnern, was genau Du geändert hast ?

    Weiss jemend Rat ?
    ENGLISH
    thanks for the correction of the file.
    It works fine in your doc.
    I copied all settings from your pdf-file, but still it doesn`t work in my doc.
    Do you remember, what you changed ?
    I will upload a flie, where I paste a new table in the existing one. Can you tell me where the failure is ?
    Thanks for your help.
    I saved the origin file as a dynamic form. The fields were growing automatically (when the text is long). The problem was the overflow.
    https://acrobat.com/#d=kBUbNEdmNNLTXmKuCUo84w
    Is it possibly a bug within my LCD Version ?
    Greetings
    Dilaver
    UPDATE
    It works fine, when I delete 1 column.
    With 2 columns -> overflow problem
    With 1 column -> no problem..
    Does anybody knwo why ?

  • Dynamic table in adobeform

    Hi Exports,
    I need to pass the values of dynamic internal table from SE38 program to adobeform. But in interface i couldn't find an option to pass the dynamic internal table. Is it possible to bind a dynamic  internal table in Adobeform?  Both row and column of the table should grow depends on dynamic table values. If no of column reaches maximum page widh it should overflow to next page.
    Regards,
    Anu.

    For the form buttons to work on-line in your WebDynpro app, you need to change the PDF form to be Dynamic:
         if(firstTime){
              // We need to set the PDF to be Dynamic, for the form JavaScript code to work
              IWDPDFDocumentInteractiveFormContext pdfContext =
              WDPDFDocumentFactory
              .getDocumentHandler(wdThis.wdGetAPI(), "InteractiveForm")
              .getDocumentContext();
              pdfContext.setDynamic(true);
    In this code segment, "InteractiveForm" is the UI id.
    I was able to get that far, but I although I add subforms dynamically via javascript, the mapped WebDynpro context node doesn't pick up any new elements.
    ie:  if I start with two WD context elements (0..n) cardinality, then add a third via the form JavaScipt button, I see changes only in the two context elements when I submit.  A third context element isn't created or populated.

  • Dynamic table with drop down lists

    I have a Dynamic table with a header row, Section and footer row.
    Section has the following cells(columns): Cell1 (drop down with locations), button (to remove row), CCode (Color Code RAL), CName (color name).
    I'm starting with 1 row.
    now what I want to do is, when they select in CCode e.g. RAL 1003 (rawValue "1") then in CName the name "signal yellow" (rawValue "1") should appear.
    I'm using javascript
    My first problem is how do I know which value is chosen, because this isn't working:
    if  (this.rawValue == 1)
    xfa.host.messageBox('Today')
    and second how do I set the value in CName
    because this only sets it in the first CName cell:
    xfa.form.DataSheet.TechnicalInformation.Markings.THatchPatterns.Section.CName.rawValue = '1';
    Please help me, I'm totally lost

    solved the problem, instead on change event put script on exit event.
    and the following line does the trick:
    xfa.resolveNode("THatchPatterns.Section[" + this.parent.index + "]").CCode.rawValue = this.rawValue

  • Dynamic table with header on each page

    Hi,
    I am new to livecycle forms. I am not sure if I am asking a silly question but this is what I need to achieve.
    I am designing a pdf form using livecycle designer. Need to build a dynamic table using data from xml. The challenge is I need to have a signature button on each page and the button will be below the table. So if there are for eg. 100 rows of data, then the table should be split into 5 pages of 20 rows each page (each page should have the table header) or based on page content and the button should be on the bottom of each page. Is it possible to achieve this? Also any example/suggestion on implementing signature using signature pad would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,
    For individual objects, like the button that you want to appear on each page, you should place this on the Master Page. Position the button at the bottom of the page and then make sure that you size the Content Area, so that the button is OUTSIDE of the content area. This way objects on the design page will not overflow over the button. See here: http://assure.ly/g0Wx7r.
    If you are using a Table object for your data, then you can set it to repeat the Header row, see the Object palette.
    If you are using ADEP Designer 10 (latest version of Designer) AND your users will have Acrobat X/Reader X (eg version 10.1), then you could use Flash object for a signature field. See the example here: http://assure.ly/rqCuEn. See "Assure Dynamics Map with Signature" example. Again please note that you will need Acrobat X/Reader X to view this.
    Hope that helps,
    Niall

  • Dynamic table with header locked and vertical scrollbar problem.

    Hi,
    I have created a dynamic table with header locked.The sample code is as below.
    <div style="width:910px ; overflow-x : scroll">
    <h:panelgrid ...for header populated by binding to pagecode/>
    <div style="width:910px ; height:200px ; overflow-y : scroll">
    <h:panelgrid ...for data populated by binding to pagecode/>
    </div>
    </div>
    The above piece of code serves the purpose.
    There is an overflow in both x as well as y directions and scrollbars appear.But the y scrollbar can be seen only when the x-scrollbar is moved to the extreme right.
    Does anyone have a solution so that both the scrollbars can be seen as soon as the table loads without the need to move x to the extreme right to see y?

    wa_layout-grid_title = text-039.
        wa_layout-sel_mode = 'A'.
        APPEND wa_layout TO gs_layout.
        wa_layout-grid_title = text-039.
        wa_layout-sel_mode = 'A'.
        APPEND wa_layout TO gs_layout.
        wa_layout-grid_title = text-039.
        wa_layout-sel_mode = 'A'.
        APPEND wa_layout TO gs_layout.
      CALL METHOD gr_alvgrid1->set_table_for_first_display
          EXPORTING
            is_layout       = gs_layout
          CHANGING
            it_fieldcatalog = it_fieldcatalog1[]
            it_outtab       = <l_table>.
    i am using like but its not accepting more than one line header in is_layout, is there any possibility to take like this.

    Mallikarjuna.

  • Command node inside the dynamic table

    Hi experts,
    I have a problem regarding on using a command node inside a dynamic table in main window.. I tried inserting a command node in the header of the table then when running my print program i will receive an exception = 2 which is internal error and when i tried to execute the smartform using its FM it will have an error saying 'No explicit page break possible in tables'. I also tried putting the command node in nodes MAIN AREA and FOOTER.
    Here's the question.
    How can i explicitly put page break while i'm looping in a table?
    higheest rewards if successful.
    thanks in advance.

    Use a command line node and put
    BREAK-POINT.
    in that node, save and activate.  I have only put such a node in the main section of a table but I don't see why you couldn't put one in the header or footer as well.

    ORA-06512: at line 7The problem is that your variable subject_obj is not in scope inside the dynamic SQL you are building. The SQL engine does not know your PL/SQL variable, so it tries to find a column named SUBJECT_OBJ in your SAM1 table.
    If you need to use dynamic SQL for this, then you must bind the variable. Something like this:
    EXECUTE IMMEDIATE 'insert into op_sample (select id,name,:bind_subject_obj from sam1) ' USING subject_obj;Alternatively you might figure out to use static SQL rather than dynamic SQL (if possible for your project.) In static SQL the PL/SQL engine binds the variables for you automatically.
