Hi,
This message is to the BlackBerry people, I mean the developers, the people related with the development of BlackBerry Z10.
There is no doubt that you guys have done a fab work developing Z10. It is the best operating system in the market as of now. I have been a blackBerry loyal customer since 2010. I used Torch 9800 and currently Bold 9900 and planning for Z10 for obvious reasons.
But, many people including me are disappointed with the apps in the Z10. Come on guys, this product has been in development since an year now. Everyone including you guys know that to survive in the current market you need to focus and invest more on the apps.
Have you seen any major difference between in the OS of google, from Ice cream sandwich to Jellybean or the OS in apple iphones, from 4S to 5 ??? The answer is "NO", but they have worked on is apps and just apps.
I love BlackBerry devices and at the same time I want it to prosper like the other devices in the market. Z10 has an outstanding OS platform, kindly utilize this in developing more apps and attracting more customers. This will hold benefits to both, customers and BlackBerry company.
I just wanted to share my feelings regarding it and hence I did. Hope BlackBerry will look into it and hire more app developers around the world and won't let their customers down.
I know there will be a 1000s of mails and such messages going out to you guys on daily basis, but I am writing this because it makes a difference and adds to the count.

yes you can't change battery and display on software because it's hardware may be release another model aspect your requirement from blackberry ok!

I too was having the same problem However, I could access both the menu bar and the dock by hovering my mouse over them so it wasn't a huge problem but I prefered having it there anyway. I was not in full screen mode and I could still go into full screen mode if I wanted to. I found the easiest solution was to just quit safai and restart it, but it might not work for you considering you couldn't access you menu bar either way.
I found this article that allows you to hide/show the menu bar and the dock through TextEdit (didn't work for me) http://www.mactricksandtips.com/2009/07/hide-the-menubar-or-dock-in-specific-app s.html It is pretty old so it might not work for lion and a bit risky if you don't know what you're doing so I wouldn't really recommend doing it this way.
And KSheppard, I know it's not really any of my buisness, but the way to get answers to a question isn't by insulting others and being quick-tempered. Even if you feel like you were insulted first, don't try snapping at people who aren't obligated to help you. Honestly, it just makes everything easier if everybody is cooperative and polite.

I changed my Apple ID to my new email and now cannot find any way to access icloud. Unfortunately I had allowed icloud to hijack my airbook files, so of course I am afraid I will lose them tomorrow when I exchange my iphone for a new one and cannot keep an icloud account i cannot access. The recommended solution for most families is to share the same Apple ID for iTunes and App Store purchases, so you can share your purchases, but us different IDs for iMessage, FaceTime and iCloud. With this arrangement, each person can automatically download purchases made on the shared ID (by turning this feature on in Settings>iTunes & App Stores), while keeping their FaceTime calls, text messages and iCloud data (including photo stream) separated. There is no requirement that the ID you use for purchasing be the same as the ID you use for these other services.

My itunes starts displaying weird fonts for song titles and app names. Help?

Need help to change them back to normal, I realize if I double click songs and movies, the titles goes back to normal english text.
However, I can't "RUN" an itune App to change the text back.
And I do have more songs that are all messed up text.
Anyone has any suggestions how I can change everything back to normal?

iTunes uses a specific path reference to find the files that make up the Library so most likely that is precisely the problem. For "some reason" - and it would be helpful to try and figure out what that reason is - the songs are on the G: drive but iTunes is looking on the F: drive.
For the time being, have a look at this article in the Apple Knowledge Base. It talks about changing the drive letter of your iPod but you can use the instructions to change your external drive's letter as well - from G: to F:.

Blackberry ID and app world on Z10

Every time I click on blackberry id I get the following message : unable to connect to the blackberry id server. Please try again. (50506)
Also when I try and download anything from the app world I get: an error occurred processing your request.
Any ideas on what is wrong? Both worked up until a week ago.

I had an issue with this on two Z10 phones. We have number of these phones. The first thing to check is to make sure the time of day and time zone is properly set. The next thing to do is to try a battery pull to do a full re-set of the phone.
If the problem persists, the next step I took was to re-install the operating system, re-register the phone with Blackberry ID, and then restore from the backup. After I did the re-install, the phone has been okay.

I have just purchased a new tablet and am trying to download all the apps. I have two questions: Can One Blackberry Id be associated with two playbooks, and second - why can't I reinstall my already purchased Madden 12 on my new tablet.. it is working perfectly fine on my old tablet which is with my son just now. I know what you mean. When the BBID screws up BlackBerry Link would not allow you to back up your data for apparent security reasons. I did have to whip my device more than 5 times before I straighten this out. Luck that every time I was able to get my contact and passwords from my old BB through device switch.
If you like to try the procedure I posted, here are a few things that may made difference:
1. Don't use wifi until everything is set up
2. Definitely input your BBID on the first chance you get after the wipe
3. Confirm you can still connect to BBID server after the tutorial is done and you are in.
4. Setup all your BBID related apps (BBM, app world, etc.) before you do anything else (device switching or emails)
5. Backup as you go when you can still connect to BBID server.
6. Reboot after each backup, and confirm you still connect to BBID server after each reboot.
There may be steps unnecessary but the more shortcuts you take the more chance you will have to wipe the device again.

It is rather difficult to discuss "these apps" (note...the plural form of the words) when you cite only "airtel Google Play". In general, apps that require Google Play Services (which is not the same as Google Play itself) do not function on BB10...Google and BB continue to not "play nice" enough with each other. But, there are alternatives. The native OS should include the Amazon App Store...have you looked there? There is also the SNAP addon, which many prefer:http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/Downloaded-Applications/You-Upgraded-to-OS-10-2-1-and-want-to-run-Android-Apps-on-Your/td-p/2784957#nobannerAssuming you have an adequate OS level, then if you can obtain the APK of the app, then you can install it to the device directly...just copy it to the device, navigate to it in the device file manager, and open the APK...the launcher will start and the app will install. But, again, it may or may not actually function...for example if the developer made the app to require Google Play Services (as discussed above). Good luck!

Email won`t verify for facetime, message and app store

Try to login to verify on the above apps, but when it gets to verifying it just goes back to the start over and over again.
Will sign in to Store via computer only.

Thanks for the reply, but Appleid will only work via webpage and not facetime or message. My mums id wont verify on mine, but mine will on my mums. Have check setting on both and settings are the same. All was okay until it updated itself.

Core's for WFE and App Servers

Hi, i Need to plan for hardware requirements for 3 years and are getting stuck on the CPU cores per WFE and App Server.
How many cores do you use for your WFE and App Servers on SharePoint 2010?
There are obviously lots of factors but not sure if there is going to be a big benefit in assigning 16 Cores for a WFE and App Server? i Am thinking rather 8 Cores per WFE?

4 cores for each is the starting point. Beyond that you need to consider load which is primarily based on the number of users. The rule of thumb is that a standard server can handle 100 concurrent users, double the resources and you can handle roughly double
the users.
I don't know when the scaling breaks down but i suspect it's more related to the hosting environment than it is to SharePoint.

You can't merge them but you can change the ID you use for iTunes store and app purchases. To do this, go to Settings>iTunes & App Stores, tap the ID at the top, sign out, then sign back in using the other ID.

In order to share music and apps but not calls and messages, should two iphones have different or the same apple id?

My sister started an itunes account when we were younger and she first got an ipod. Later I got an ipod touch, so we thought it was smarter that I use the same account so we can share apps and music. Since then my sister has gotten an iphone, my mom has gotten an ipad, and i have kept my ipod, with all of our devices on the same account. Now I got an iphone, and im wondering if i should keep the same account or if now is a great time to get a new one. Im not sure if you can have both iphones on one account without confusion with messages and whatnot, and likewise im not sure if you can have two accounts with shared purchases. Any advice?

Use the new ID on her iPod but only for:
Settings>Messages>Send and Receive
Settings>FaceTime
Settings>GameCenter
and Settings>iCloud if you want her to have separate Contacts Calendar and some other things.
Continue to use the same/common Apple ID for Settings>iTunes and App stores so you can share purchases.
