Library is depends on Versions if u r using version 4.7EE you can use 4LC for developing FI Reports...

How to find the definition for variable creation in report painter

Hi expert,
How/where I can find information about the variable created in basis key figure in the report painter?
What is the mean for basis key figure and variable (set variable on/off check ) in the basis key figure?

My question is how to display the plan data for fiscal year 2012 with the version 6 without explicit/hard code to input version 6 when user just only key in the fiscal year 2011?Any method or variable can be done in report painter which do not appear in the input screen?And How ?
I have try include the variable for version in the column but it appear in the selection input screen where i do not want the version to be appear in the selection input screen where everytime need to remember which version.
I also have try to include the version in the column without variable and I need to key in the value version 6 which this is hard coded where I can't analyst for plan data for budget 2011 where it required me every time need to change the value in report painter for version 5 in order to be able to view the plan data for budget 2012.
Please help.

Using cost center as a characteristics for GLPCT based report painter

Hi,
Can we use cost center as a characteristics in a report painter report in a library using GLPCT table?
It shows in the selection list but if can not save report if tried to use. Is there a work around as KOSTL is not part of GLPCT?

You can create a report based on PCA line items, where there is the cost centre
I copied a library for PCA line items reports and made a custom report

Modify Set for Use in Report Painter

Dear All,
I wanted to select cost center postings for a group of cost elements, and wish to see only the debit entries, so I have created a Multi Set (from table CCSS) which consists of 2 Basic sets e.g.:
1. KSTAR - Cost Element = 7000000 to 8000000
2. BEKNZ - Dr/Cr Indicator = D
However when I run a report which is calling the Multi Set, I would still see the Cost Elements with Credit amounts.
Am I doing this correctly? Or is there any other method to get the desired result?

I did try that option, setting '+' in the P/M field.. But the results still show the negative line items.
Any other way?

I have created a report and on having executed it it(he,she) gives me the following mistake:
The line of formula 068 does not possess operandos of lines N º message: GR370
Diagnosis The lines of formula link between(among) yes the lines of report for columns. The operandos of line are indicated in the formula by means of 'xxx' (xxx = n º of the block of line). Nevertheless, the line of formula 068 does not contain no(any) operating of line.
We have tried to look for this line counting(telling) one for one and also for the denomination of the report and it(he,she) seems be nice, but we do not know to which this mistake owes.
Neither we know that it(he,she) wants to say operating of line, someone might help us?.

Adding formula for costcenter in report painter

Report Painter for PS

Hi Exports.
    I'm trying to make a report for PS with Report painter.
    The report layout requests :
    Row : activity types. set to exploded.
    Column : activity types' quantity, activity types' cost
    The purpose of this report is to see how many activities are spend by a project.
    I copy a new library from 6P3
    and set the OBJNR as selection date.
   The report runs normally but the result is not correct.
    The activity types's item lines can't be displayed,but a sum line.
    I do set the row setting to exploded....
   Is it really possible to see a project cost per activity type by report painter?
   or i made some mistake...

Custom T codes for Report painter in FI

Hi All -
I have list of report painter reports (created thru GR31) and need to create custom transaction codes. I need information for following points:
1. How to create tcodes for report painter report
2. We have to transport those tcodes from DEV server to production and client numbers are different, will the transaction codes work when we promote to different server.

Report Painter insert blank line after report header

Hi Expert,
I have a problem to insert a blank line (a spacing) after the report header of my customized report painter.
For example, in standard cost center report, S_ALR_87013611, there is a small box listed information like cost center/group ... and reporting period.
Right after reporting period, the report header box ends, and there is a space line between it and the cost element data ...
For my customized report painter, I cannot make this space line.
I tried edit > row > insert blank line ... but not successful ... kindly advise.

In KKO2 go to output tab, here under layout, tick header and then press pencil symbol and in the editor you write your header. I think this will give you desired result.

Table need to be added in report painter library

HI,
Can't we add any table in report painter library (GR21) like if i add s032 it is accepted by library while 'MARD' is not accepted it gives error Table MARD is not installed in Report Writer.
what is the difference between s032 and MARD table, as both are transparent table. but one is accepted and other is not.

You can't use all tables.see the below lines for it:
Both Report Painter and Report Writer can be used to report on the following tables and tables types:
 Evaluation structures set up in the Logistics Information System (LIS). These structures normally begin with an S or ZF. Several different tables and views within the R/3 System can be added as evaluation structures.
Note: You cannot add cluster tables, such as BSEG.
CCSS is used for Cost Center Accounting (CO-CCA), Internal Orders (CO-OPA), Activity Based Costing (CO-ABC) and for cost element reports in Project Systems (PS).
GLFUNCT is used for functional area reporting in cost-of-sales accounting.
GLPCT and GLPCOP are used for Profit Center Accounting (CO-PCA/EC-PCA).
FILC is used for Legal Consolidations (FI-LC).
COFIT is used for the Controlling Reconciliation Ledger (CO-CEL).
ZZ tables are created for the Special Purpose Ledger (FI-SL).
FIMC is used for consolidations in the Enterprise Controlling module (EC-LC).
GLT0 is used for Financial Accounting (General Ledger) reports by account, company, and business area (FI-GL).
KKBC, KKBE, and KKBU are used for the Controlling Product Costing module (CO-Costing).

I needs some information on Report Painter.
I already searched in help.sap.com.
but i cannot get these below information.
Please help me out. it is very urgent for me.
1.what are the general Tcodes used in this ?
2.when and where should we use report painter concept over standard reporting ?
3. Is report painter exclusively used for any specific module like Project systems, FI/CO. or it can be used across all the SAP Functional Modules?
4. I tried to create Report using Report painter Tcode CJE4
then i got some basic doubts as below?
a) what is difference between Project report and Summarization reports for project in report painter?
b)Is it mandatory to create Form then attaching this Form to Report?
c)what is difference in Two Axes, One axis with key figure,
One axis without key figure structure ?
d) what is meant by Key figure and Characteristics in this ?
