For everyone who can't sync your iPhone with Yahoo Address Book

Hello all,
I was having trouble syncing my Yahoo address book with my iphone. I kept getting the "iTunes could not sync with Yahoo! Address Book because an Internet connection is not available." window.
This is what I did to solve the problem, at least for me.
Add your Yahoo account to iPhone under “mail”. Make sure you use your full e-mail address, [email protected]
Launch iTunes first, then connect the iPhone.
Enter in your full e-mail address ([email protected]) and password in iTunes.
Allow the following applications to access the Internet (I’m using a firewall):
iTunesHelper Module
iTunes
AppleMobileBackup.exe
AppleMobileSync
iTunes then synced with Yahoo every time.
This was done on Windows XP. I do not think this problem occurs on a Mac.

Make sure the Mac is updated, click the Apple> Software Updates.
Use the steps in this article to reinstall iTunes and the Apple Mobile Device Service.

oh yes, on my iphone 4 (iTune Wi-Fi sync) and the mac book(iTune device Sync) they both in grey colour on the sync paragraph, its mean I can't enter them at all !! The both device on the same Wi-Fi network.

Problem synching iPhone with Yahoo address book contacts

Basically what is happening is when I sync most of the yahoo contacts transfer to the iPhone just fine but then I get a message telling me that all of the contacts could not be copied, try again later. I look and it stops after the letter "T". Ive tried several times even after a reboot. I also noticed that when I created a new contact on the iPhone it doesnt get synched over to my yahoo contacts. Any help is appreciated.

What advanced settings are you referring to on the iPhone? The only advanced I have is under my yahoo email account. Update since I last posted, I tried deleting the few entries after the letter "T" that were not synching to the iPhone and recreated them and they now are synching fine but the sync is only working one way, if I create a new contact on the iPhone it shows up in my yahoo address book but if I create a new entry in my yahoo address book and do a sync, it does not sync over to the iPhone.

Hi, I have an iPhone 4 and a MacBook Pro. I am unable to sync the phone to the mac book. when I plug it in and ask it to sync it asks if I really want to sync, and that I will be replacing everything on my phone with what is on my Mac. This is NOT what I want.
I want to put everything on my phone on to the cloud (?) and onto my MacBook. I have important medschool voice memos that I CANNOT lose.
I registered the phone to another laptop about a year ago if that is any help?

That may not be what you want, but it's what's going to happen if you sync it to your Mac. You are trying to sync media to your phone from an iTunes library other than the one it is set up to sync with.
Transfer the data from the computer you have been syncing with to the new one, then set up a new sync relationship.

1) authorize iTunes on the new machine for your iTunes store account(s)
2) connect your device and right-click or control-click it in the iTunes Source list, then choose transfer purchases from the shortcut menu that appears.
3) sync the device
iTunes will wipe the iPhone but, since you transferred your purchases in the previous step, your content will be in your library and you can re-populate the iPhone with it.

If you resintall iTunes, it should fix the issue. The following document will go over how to remove iTunes fully and then reinstall. Depending on what version of Windows you're running you'll either follow the directions here:

Might be easier to post numbers so other people with exact same settings can compare directly. Also helps to post screenshots before and after getting the error.

The only control you have is that, if you're syncing Calendars in iTunes, you can specify how many days back you want to go (e.g. "Last 30 days")
Other than that, not really - you can do thing slike limit how meany messages Mail downloads, but that's not much help

TS1627 All of a sudden, I can't sync my Iphone with Outlook. The phone just says "no calendar"

All of a sudden, I can't sync my IPhone with Outlook. The calendar on the phone is now blank.

Similar problem.
No problem with the imac G5 but tower Power PC allows only the initial sync (ie after erasing all contacts and events in my phone and reseting device in bluetooth syst pref and in isync).
For the following syncings I always get the same message.
[K800i] Connection to the phone failed.
Please make sure that your phone is turned on. If this error occurs again, please restart your phone.
Restarting my phone does not help.
Anyone an idea?

Hello, I had this problem A few times. But there isn't A way I know. Keep the music on your computer and add them back after is what I do.
