Hello,
I have a HP G70-460US Laptop since October 10,2009. About three days ago, the laptop started showing me a system message about the AC Adapter. The message says: For Full performance you need a higher voltage AC adapter. I verified the AC Adapter and the temperature was normal. The battery was charging OK. I had the laptop connected to a power strip, so I connect the laptop directly to the wall outlet. The next day, my wife was trying to use the laptop, and the battery had no charge. I unplugged and plugged again the AC Adpter and started charging again, but, the system keeps posting the same error message as before. My laptop is usually connected to a electrical outlet.
What can be the problem?

We are also getting this same message with a new G60-506US laptop just placed in service with the factory HP A/C adapter.
Looks like someone from HP needs to get into this!

Hello,
NI-CAN cards are not able to send a high voltage wake-up message. At 15V pulse is usually used for this purpose. You can use a third-party device to generate the pulse, however, at this point National Instruments does not test the cards for this.

You need a higher version, but I already have higher version

I am getting this message when I try and open and modify a saved "fillable" form:
"You need a higher version of acrobat (v6.0 or higher) to fill this form"
It then tells me that my current version is 10.103, obviously higher than the v6.0 they are demanding, and then there is a non-clickable or copyable url of where to go to update my reader. Attempts to "update" tell me that I already have the latest version and no updates are available. I have opened this form and updated it every quarter (excise tax form from the state) for the past two years, and have had no issues until now.
Also, once I have clicked OK on that javascript pop up window on open, it covers the top half of the document with yellow box stating "You need Acrobat Reader 6.x or higher to . . . " and the rest is cut off by the print instructions, but I assume it ends with " . . . to fill this form".
Any help appreciated.

So, you need an older version of the iOS app, because the current version no longer works on your iPod touch.
If you do regular backups of your hard drive (as you should), such as by using Apple's built-in Time Machine (if you use a Mac), you may find the older version of the app in the backup archive, and restore it (replacing the newer version). They are stored in the iTunes Media folder, in the Mobile Applications sub-folder. You should then be able to sync the older version to your iPod touch.
I can't think of any other way to get it back...
NOTE: An 2nd gen iPod touch can run up to iOS 4.2.1. If your iPod touch is running something earlier, and that is why the app no longer works, you can also consider updating the iPod's iOS.
I use an even older iPhone (original). I avoid this potential problem by aways updating its apps on the iPhone, not in iTunes on the computer. When I do it on the iPhone, it will not download a newer version of an app that won't run on my old iPhone.

and now, when i tried to check again my network preference below the airport tab is showing a message that
"my airport does not have an IP address and cannot connect to the internet!"
then after seconds it will goes back to the first message that

Best practices for flow of data from ECC --> SAP MII --> Shop floor & Vice verse:
1. Send ECC data through IDOC's/RFC's as messages to SAP MII message listener and BSL transaction process data and update directly on shop floor database as if you configured in Data services or later send those data by web service to shop floor system (i.e. depends on Shop floor machines).
From Shop floor:
shop floor --> SAP MII --> ECC
1. Use either Web service or fetch data from DB and pass data to BAPI's for sending to ECC through BLS transaction.

AC Power needed for full performance? (GT680)

I recently got my new MSI GT680 I'm really satisfied, it has more than surpassed my expectations.
That's all fine and dandy until last night when I said I'd give Street Fighter IV a go, I put all the graphics settings on the highest spec and then ran the benchmark, it was hitting an average of 15FPS! I closed the game and just sat down with a really dissapointed look on my face then I thought, meh, I'll see what happens with the AC power plugged in and BAM, it was hitting 65FPS+
Any way, my point is, do I HAVE to have the AC power plugged in to have decent performance or is there a setting configuration that I'm missing? If I do have to have it plugged all the time then I'll be pretty annoyed as it kind of defeats the purpose of a laptop.

Yeah I have a GT780 and I'm interested in running from DC power as I have a 36AH lead acid battery. I thought about getting another notebook battery but decided against it when it lagged in performance on notebook battery power.
FYI, I ran it on a 300W inverter and it ran for an hour and a half.
I think a DC adaptor would be more efficient but you can't get DC power on 19.5V and 7.7A, Jaycar have an adaptor that runs on 19V and 8AH but I was warned not to use it.

My PB G4 gives me the "You need to restart..." message. HELP!

My PB 1GHz PPC will suddenly only start up in Safe Mode. I've tried everything I know of, I finally completely re-installed Tiger after saving the files I needed.
I've reseted everything you can reset (I guess) after reading on this forum. One thing I noticed that may be the problem or part of the problem is that when I ran Tech Tools Hardare test it couldn't check "Network", it was grey.

Streaming G5 through a TV- do you need a good video card?

Hi Everyone
I recently fried my videocard (thanks so much to everyone here who helped me with that issue), just as I bought a DVI-Svideo adaptor that would allow me to stream my G5 through my TV.
Unfortunately, my videocard was the Radeon 9600 card - a fairly high end model used for gaming and such. I thought I should just replace it (despite the high cost - over $400) as it would likely make my viewing movies on my TV that much better.
Problem is, NOBODY in vancouver seems to have these cards, and I've already waiting 3 weeks for one on backorder. Half of me wants to just go buy one on ebay as opposed to waiting for this local supplier to recieve one.
Before I turn to Ebay- I thought I should ask the experts... do you need a high end video card to watch video on a TV through your G5? Or would the extra video card power only be viewable if I was gaming or using Aperture or something like that?
Frankly, I don't do much photo editing - the extent of my use would be videos and youtube.
Any thoughts? Thanks in advance for any advice.

what i noticed to be a deffance when i hook it up to my tv.
depending on how new the tv is.
pixel ratios are affected by how good your videocard is.
The better the card the higher pixel quality you will have on you TV.
I have my TV hooked up DVI to HDMI. at a 1920X1080 P
The quality is if i have an HDTV 460P tv show downloaded.
The quality if pretty amazing when i run it on my tv.
The higher the qualit of video card the better the qaulity on the tv.
The better the TV the better the qaulity. they both factor.

Is it normal for Idle CPU Temp to be high at first?

Is there some type of break-in period when you first put on the arctic alumina and the heatsink?
I am running a A64 3500+ non 90nm with a Swiftech MCX-64V HS and using the arctic alumina. I followed their instructions to a T. I spread it all over the HS then wiped it off then I placed a small blob in the center of the CPU cover and set the HS down on it.
I just finally got BIOS to boot up and it has been running for about 30minutes. The CPU IDLE temp goes between 41C and 45C and it seems to be fluctuating quite a bit. Will it cool down over time or is it something I should check out now?
I recall my last MOBO, an EPOX 8RDA+ with a Swiftech MCX462+ usually would hover around 36C idle.
Also I saw mentioned on a website something about changing the fan voltage to 12V instead of 7V. How can you tell what your CPU fan's voltage is and if it is 7V can you change it to 12V to increase airflow?

2) Tha Temp reading is from the winbond sensor & records temp as a function of proccessor activity. This causes rapid temp changes to be seen as CPU activity changes. It's a bit like telling you the water flow through a tap. Removal of heat depends on quality of CPU Cooler & Case cooling.(Like the capacity of plug hole in sink).
3) If your 3500 is a winchester 90Mu then check in bios that your vcore is 1.4v not 1.5v, which is the default volts for the older 130 fabrication. Higher voltage gives higher temp.
