Hi, Helena! I was wondering if you could give me more detailed information about how to use arguments within two modules. I've just read your explanation!
I want to connect to modules, I want to select a customer from one module called clients, and then pass that argument into another module called courses. I've created an argument in the called module, if I've understood you correctly this is the module called courses, in the properties I've put defined by clients.name .
In the calling module clients, in the section
Called Modules I've added in Argument Passed Values , but I'm not quite sure about what I'm doing.
Could you explain how to connect two modules using arguments with more details please?

Boot into your Mavericks Recovery partition by hold down the command and R keys whilst booting. You'll see a screen that looks like this:
Click on the Disk Utility item to open Disk Utility. You should see your boot drive (usually named "Macintosh HD" unless you've changed it) in the column on the left of the screen. Select your boot partition and click on the "Verify" button. Let your Mac do it's thing - if you get green text telling you that everything seems to be OK, then your disk should not be damaged. If, however, you get red text telling you that the disk needs to be repaired, click on the "Repair" button. If the disk can be repaired, you should be good to go. If the disk cannot be repaired then the drive is damaged.
But before you do anything, make certain that you have backups!!!

Looking for a little more info on Playstation 3 on Apple 20" display

Sorry to ask for more info on this. I did find some other threads, but looking for a bit more direction.
First, let me say I have a bunch of old tube TV's and am looking to purchase a Playstation 3. Using Playstation 3 on a tube TV seems kind of stupid, especially when I have a great LCD monitor sitting right on my desktop.
I looked at solution from Elgato. However they said they are not making any more units and when it sells out it is gone. So I am a little weary of purchasing something that may no longer be supported. Their solution does provide video capture and DVR capabilities as well, which I could also use.
Other then that, I am wondering if there are any other solutions that people could recommend. I do plan on buying a LCD or Plasma TV in the near future, but until then, I would like to purchase a Playstation 3. Just looking for any advice of any kind from others. Thanks.

I would if you don't want to spend allot on a 1080p LCD (being more then 2k) The Mitsubishi LT-37131 LCD Flat Panel HDTV ($1,699) . Sony & Samsung both are the same LCD. Mitsubishi is better then Samsung/Sony allot better when used with a computer (it is the only new LCD maker that has a VGA & DVI port just for Computers)

More info needed on BC Dynamic menus and using CSS with them

Hi all,
The BC Gurus tutorial on Dynamic Menus and how to style them with CSS made no sense to me, unfortunately. The presentation was too rushed and the screen too small to see what was happening.
In a previous question I found out how to apply CSS classes to BC menus after a bit of a run around.
I was putting the # in front of the Item ID name and a . in front of the class name and this was not necessary.
I have further questions though, as I am still struggling to get a BC Dynamic menu to style properly with the CSS I have created.
1. If you choose CSS as the menu type, can you set the font, background colour and rollover state of the menu items in the Dynamic menu section? Or do you have to style it all in the CSS stylesheet?
2. If you choose CSS as the menu type, the option to say how the submenu sits under the root menu disappears. So do you need to set this in the CSS stylesheet? And if so in which element? UL or LI?
3. If you choose CSS/HTML only, how is this different to the option of CSS for the dynamic menu?
4. If you choose CSS as the menu type and if you set a width and height in the menu item, and then set a different width and height in the CSS stylesheet, which width and height wins?
5. If you want a dynamic menu to show on an Android phone, do you have to choose CSS/HTML only and do all the styling in the CSS stylesheet? Or should you avoid dynamic menus all together and just use a UL list in the template? (I am doing a responsive fluid grid layout in DW for the template).
6. I am finding that the dynamic menu I have done, with CSS as the type, does not show and hide the sub menu items properly on an Android phone. Is there a problem with the javascript in Dynamic menus?

.pacnew files are only created if you have modified the default (or a change has been made to the config upstream); in both cases, you should be looking to incorporate the changes.
It seems some new options are being shipped with lxdm: you want those in your config (turning them on or off is a matter for you and the man page to sort out)...

Help! Info needed on how to qualify for Student Licence for CS4

Hi, I'm after some info which I just can't seem to find on the web! Exactly what kind of student do you need to be to qualify for a Student Edition in the UK? Do you need to be doing a degree or can you just enroll on a part time course at a local college of higher education (say an 18 week, part time course in Web Design which I am very interested in doing). I read somewhere that you had to be doing a degree of at least 2 years in length, but then somewhere else I came across someone who activated their Photoshop software by just doing a short course (in nursing - their full time occupation!). Please can anyone clarify how long/what type of course is the bare minimum in order to enable you to qualify as a student? Thanks!

As far as i can know, HUB SERVER is the main part of the messaging tracking is playing vital role in Exchange 2010.

i can see the message tracking logs created in mailbox is only usefull , for web interface for message tracking is part of the Exchange Control Panel and provides very basic search
functionality to search for messages either sent by or received by a mailbox, based on the sender, recipients, and subject line.
so message tracking logs which is available in mailbox is only user for end users who can perform the message tracking by themself vua ECP without installing EMC. -- AM I RIGHT
How will message tracking logs created in mailbox servers .......... will it replicate from HUB servers?
so if i have 4 mailbox servers, will all the mailbox servers having the same message tracking logs? or we may get different

There are a number of possible problems, but diagnosis may not be possible via this forum at the present time. I say this not to chastise you, but just as a statement of reality. Until you are able to concisely point us in a direction, there's just too many possible problems for guessing solutions.
If this is a commercial product, I suggest that you consider uninstalling it and then reinstalling it. This would usually resolve any installation errors. If this doesn't help, I would go to the vendor's website and look for solutions there; your problem may be well known to the vendor. If the vendor provides telephone support, it is your best bet for a solution.
If nothing else works, feel free to post here again and we'll try...

Modeler error messages - more info needed!

Dear Friends,
I got an error executing a planning sequence of function type 'generate combinations'.
The system messages on the top section of the modeler are :
1. first message :
"Planning function Gen Combinations ( ended with errors"
2. subsequent messages are in green (no error)
"Context information for the other messages"
3. Selection for characteristic xyz : Single value 123 (no error)
: < similar ok messages follows >
2nd Error message :
"Cannot generate combinations for MultiProvider 'AGGR_LEVEL'"
this is followed by
3rd Error message :
"Cannot generate combinations in step 'xx'"
When double clicked on these error messages in the modeler, nothing appears to show more error info.
Could you experts kindly let me know how can I find out what these errors mean , specifically:
1. For the 3rd error, how can I know what is the step 'xx' about that the system is referring to where it cannot generate combinations?
2. What does it mean cannot generate combinations for multiprovider? Could you tell me more about what this means in terms of where is the problem?

For a planning sequence using planning function of type 'generate combinations', in general does this process work in the following sequential step ? :
1. check the filter
2. generate the combination based on filtered values
or is it the other way round?
I am trying to know where the error lies since it errored so early in the process , about 3 seconds upon executing the sequence via program RSPLS_PLSEQ_EXECUTE.
I set break point on the class mentioned to no avail as the generate combinations sequence ended with error very early in the process.
I also set breakpoint on the characteristic relationship class used as well as standard variable exit include program. Also to no avail as the program errored before these stages as none of the breakpoints appeared in debug mode before the error.
The error message is " cannot generate combinations in step '04' "
Kindly could you shed more light on this error in terms of what it is referring to?
Is the problem with master data , filter or characteristic relationship?
Based on my testing done with breakpoints, seems that its not filter or characteristic relationship error.
So, does this mean master data error?
How could master data be having error?
Most characteristic relationship used are attribute types. There are 2 using classes.

Planning to get a warranty for my iMac, more info inside...

Technically, it's my boyfriend's iMac, but as I'm more aware of what we need exactly, it'll explain below.
About two months ago the WiFi network I had set up was hacked by 14 people. I spent about an hour cleaning out the router, changing passwords, SSID's and encrypting the network moreso than it was prior.
After that I downloaded a free trial of 'Virus Barrier' as I have zero trust of McAfee (the only other option I could find).
After the trial ran out I deleted the icons as I'm not very familiar with Mac's and could not figure out if that would completely remove the software or not (I don't believe it did).
I use GoogleChrome as our browser, while running Netflix or just turning it on (doing anything really) we get asked to approve for 'KsFetch' or 'Kfetch' to open a port. I did a little reading on this and did/have not found anything saying it is/was a threat, so I allow(ed) it.
Due to the fact that our browser runs increasingly slow regardless of the fact that I consistantly delete cookies and history, I'm interested in having a technician who's more familiar with Mac's than myself; run diagnostics on the computer and basically just run a little 'check-up' and make sure it's okay.
I think the slowness of the internet and the unresponsive browser may be due in part to our router which I don't believe is fully equipt to handle the amount of bandwidth that we use. But just to be on the safe side considering this was a very expensive computer, I want it looked into.
So my question is (after all of that mess), if we get a warranty, would it cover general diagnostics? And Which warranty would be best (assuming there are variable kinds)?
If anybody with vast knowledge of Mac's and their upkeep reads this, would you happen to know if there may be something wrong with the computer?
Earlier this morning it smelled a bit like burning plastic, it is generally used all day than off all night, after about ten minutes the smell went away (this was before I turned it on.).

Definitely get the extended 3 year AppleCare on any iMac or Laptop before the 1 year runs out, even if not related to any of tthese problems.

More info needed on MAC address

Hi,
I have a post in the same forum regarding a problem I have been having since I moved last week: I am getting a self assigned 169 IP address and can't therefore connect to the Internet. I have been doing many things and nothing has been working...
However, I am able to connect to a PC without any problem...And I found a way to connect with the Macbook but it's only good until I restart: I use the MAC address of the PC and I change my Macbook MAC address for the one I see on the PC through a command in Terminal and bingo, I can connect (until I restart and I guess take back the Macbook MAC address).
I don't know much about Mac address so if there is anyone who can explain to me what is going on, it might help me to fix this issue once for all!! It seems like the modem likes the PC MAC address better!!

-In another page (of the modem's web setting page), there is this message:

Putting movies on the web for download - help and advice needed

I'm not sure whether this is the right place for this question, but here's hoping...
I've produced an hour long DVD on the history of my car club. I have produced the DVD using iMovie and iDVD, and it's fine.
We will be having a number of these DVDs produced, but we also want to offer the movie as a download on our website. Of course this needs to be compressed, but what I want to be able to do is offer the user a file that will burn them a DVD with chapter markers etc, just like the DVD I have, in one operation - a straightforward duplicate. I also want to be able to let them download a label and jewel case insert and offer a complete package.
Is an easy duplicate like this possible, and what sort of file size would the compressed item be? As the DVD is close to capacity, I assume the original will be around 4.7 Gb. There are also some jpegs on the DVD as extras.
Certainly, it would be desirable for the user to play it on their computer, but the main aim is to get a disc TV ready (in the PAL format).
I know you can download movies from the web, and I've downloaded trailers onto my iPod and played them back on a 32" TV and they're excellent. What I don't know is what software will do this. Can anybody point me in the right direction?

I suppose you could put up a 4 something gigabyte DVD disk image up somewhere on the web, but I wouldn't want to try and download it! Do you have a site available with this kind of storage and download bandwidth?
Normally, the things I've seen on the web are reduced in image size to something like 320x240 - this reduces the file size to 1/4 the full size file.
For Apple users, H.264 gives a pretty compact file with decent quality, but I'm not sure many PC users would be able to use it. In any event, people couldn't make a DVD with chapters without extra work.
You could get QuickTime Pro and try converting the movie (or a part of it anyway) to H.264 (or 'regular' mpg-4) see how it looks.

I am looking for documents about using wifi in highly reflective enviroments: rooms with aluminium floor, walls and ceiling en very little materials that absorb rf. (cleanroom enviroment)

The cleanroom enviroment (ASML semiconductor industry) is a large room about 30 * 60 meter and 7m high. In this room are smaller cabinets (about 20) where the actual work is done. Here you can see some pictures:

In full production there are about 120 engineers working with their 802.11b/g equipped laptops.
Every wall, floor, ceiling, door is made with aluminium sandwich panels. We have major troubles getting a reliable wifi enviroment, and also DECT and GSM telefony is hardly working at all.
Right now we have 10 AP's is the large room, and we are contemplating installing 1 AP in every cabinet with low power setting and using attenuators. We are also considering the use of leaky coaxial cable.
Migrating to 802.11N is not really an option since the clients are b/g equipped.
I will upload a plan soon.
