I had this same problem but i think i found solution. STEP 1 plug mouse to ps2 keyboard port and vice versa, if that will not help ... STEP 2 in bios set BOOT UP NUM LOCK LED to off and GATE A20 OPTION to normal that should help!!! it REALY solved my problem!!

K7N2 Delta, Logitech Cordless Keyboard and Mouse (Cordles Desktop Optical) and “Cold-Boot Problem” with login on Win XP SP1
Sometimes the mouse and keyboard are dead, when I want to login to XP. This happens only, if I use the High Performance-Settings. Is this a bios problem?
My Specs:
K7N2 Delta with Bios 5.2
2500 Barton
Fortron Source 350-60BTP
Asus 7700 Geforce 2 GTX
Audigy 2

MSI do not care about us, owners of MSI woth problems. Im my case LOTS OF PROBLEMS. It is my first MSI. And my last. MSI NEVER MORE.
They do not answer e-mails. So why do they have SUPORT?
Just to be sure the problem is not with Windows XP i had installed 98. But same error. Plus. Windows 98 warns you that you do not have a mouse plugued in...
I am waiting for new BIOS. But they do not release. Maybe they think the MB is too old to release BIOS.
If you get something, please tell me. I will do the same.
Also, the same happens with my USB KEYBOARD.
What i do is to enter the BIOS SETUP and reset the computer (in the case's button) every time i restart. It was the only solution i got to do not have to restart again.

Need help with jumper settings for k7n2 delta ilsr

I have a k7n2 delta ilsr and I'm using a AMD 2800+ barton 333 fsb. I'm not sure what the jumper settins are for this cpu. The users guide only shows 133/166 and 200, can anyone help me with the jumper settings.

Hi,
As your processor is 333FSB - the jumper should be set to 166FSB as should the BIOS. As your RAM CPU combination runs at 2x166=333 or thereabouts.
Basically, as a general rule, if you halve the FSB speed of your processor you'll get the setting for both BIOS and Jumper. 200FSB=100, 266FSB=133, 333FSB=166 etc. etc.

Jumper Settings for K7N2 Delta LISR and Athlon 3200 FSB400

Hello Everyone,
(I think I sent this to Raven By E-Mail but I'm not sure, I'm still new to this)
Having problems understanding jumper settings.
I cheched out the forum and the motherboard users guide to see which way the jumpers are set for my Board K7N2 LISR + Athlon 3200+ 400FSB.
In the user guide it say's:-
FSB Mode Jumper: J10
This jumper allows you to set the CPU FSB mode, (It then shows two diagrams of Jumper 10) - first with pins 1 and 2 jumpered "user mode default 133Mhz" and the secound shows pins 2 and 3 jumpered "safe mode 100Mhz".
What has settings 133Mhz or 100Mhz got to do with a 400 FSB??????
CPU FSB Frequency Jumper: J11
This jumper is used to specify the CPU FSB frequency. (again it shows two Diagrams) first: Leave the jumper short connected if a 133/166Mhz FSB is installed.
Secound:If the CPU supports 100Mhz FSB, leave the jumper open connected.
To use a 200Mhz FSB CPU, set the jumper short connected and enter BIOS setup Utility to adjust the CPU FSB Clock Frequency.
Again what has 133/166Mhz or 100Mhz got to do with a 400 FSB???????
For my K7N2 Delta LISR and Athlon Barton 3200+ 400 FSB, what Would I set J10 to:- (Jumpered Pins 1 and 2,= 133Mhz) or (Jumpered 2 and 3,= 100Mhz).
Also what would I set J11 to:- (Jumper pins Open = 100Mhz) or (Jumper short 133/166Mhz). Hope someone can help!!!!!!!!!
It would be nice if the User's Guide had a (If .... Then..... in it)
If CPU = Athlon 2800+ 333 FSB, Then J10 is jumpered pins 1 and 2,
If CPU = Athlon.... etc etc.... or even a couple of examples

1 insafe mode it will boot at 100 fsb regardless of what you set in the bios
in user it will boot by what it sees the cpu as or what you set it to in the bios
just leave it in user
if you o/c and it will not boot shut down put it in safe
then lower the o/c once it boots
again shut down and put it back in user
2 just leave it shorted
only alter it if you used a 100 fsb cpu

Another help request for K7N2-delta

I was trying to overclock my memory and when my system rebooted after saving my settings in the bios, I just get a black screen. On the D-bracket, the top two are red and hangs there, which, according to the manual, means that either my processor is damaged or not installed properly.
I tried rebooting in safe mode by changing my J10 jumper and clearing the cmos but to no avail. Could I have damaged my CPU just by changing a setting?

CPU: AMD Athlon Barton 2500+
Motherboard: K7N2 Delta-ILSR
Video card: Saphire Radeon 9600 Pro 256 mb AGP
RAM: Corsair Value Select, PC2700, 256mb, 512 mb, and 1 gb of RAM.
Hard drive 1 & 2: Seagate, 120gb, ATA100
Hard drive 3: Western Digital, 500gb, ATA100
Windows XP SP2
Powersupply: Antec TruePower, 430w (3.3v/28a, 5v/36a, 12v/20a)

You're asking for trouble by a) using cheap value-branded RAM, and b) mixing sticks of different sizes
Also you always get best results by running memory clock at same speed as CPU FSB clock.
Take out all the sticks of RAM and have just one installed, then see if it will start up again
I read a review of how well this memory overclocks, so I thought I'd give it a shot. Also, the value-brand for Corsair is rated just under their XMS series; it's solid as far as I can tell.
Anywho, I've always had the 256mb one in the slot ever since the incident anyways. Thanks for the warning, I never knew mixing different sizes had negative effects.

There is a miss-print in your manual for the CPU D-LED, I had the same in my K7N2G-ILSR manual.
So it's stuck at the hard drive or at the system power on? I'm assuming the latter since my hard drive shouldn't be having any problems.

I have a k7n2 delta ilsr mb, in display properties on desk top setting tab then advanced button then GeForce tab under adapter information is Bus and memory. To the right of Bus it reads AGP (PCI mode) shouldn't that read AGP (8X), how can I change this. Ron.

Hey will my K7N2 Delta-ILSR support the Kingston HyperX serises DDR400-512MB Ram?

Has anyone noticed how the Hyper X went from the poor-man's Corsair to being priced equal to OCZ, and usually higher then Geil, as well as usually being very close to Corsair, if not the same? I think only Mushkin beats it out now price-wise...

Knoppix worked too, even my TvTuner worked.
Not that I would recommend Knoppix as a solution, I was just playing.
There is a lot more support for the nvidia kit now.

Case Recommendation for K7N2 Delta-ILSR

I'm looking for a mid size ATX case that that has the front usb etc. ports prewired as to work easily with a K7N2 Delta-ILSR mb. By that I mean I don't have to plug each wire individually (with names that don't match) just a plug that goes on the mb. My eyesight isn't as sharp so hooking up those one wire at a time is tediuous. Not to mention the lack of starndards Does anyone know if this is address on the next rev of mb's (with pcix etc).

I have yet to see a case that has all the USB wires together, they are all 1 pin at a time. You will find the Antec line of cases very good. (You can always use a magnifying glass to see the pins.) The pin names on the Antec cases are standardized and easy to figure out.
If you want a good case at a cheap price, then go with the SLK3700AMB:
If you want a good high end case, then go with the Sonata:
If weight is an issue, then go with the Super Lanboy:

Warranty Length for K7N2 Delta-ILSR

What is the mfg's warranty length on the K7N2 Delta-ILSR?
I filled out the online support form earlier today but no response as of yet, and me being the impatient rascal I am, I didn't want to wonder all weekend. I bought it October, 2003 and the floppy drive controller seems to have gone out.

Looks like mine is 2 yrs. & 4 months old. Kind of stinks that I lost 5 months on the warranty by going by the mfg. date instead of date of purchase. Its not worth the hassle & would even cost more to RMA it for the controller. Ahh, but this is IT, the "World of Workarounds". I'll live!

Temperature reading for K7N2 Delta ILSR

I have a 2500+ Barton (333 FSB) to work with K7N2 Delta ILSR and 2x256 MB Samsung DDRAM(400 FSB).I use MBM to read my CPU temperatures.Usually 45-47 C idle and 54-58 C under full load.I overclock CPU to 400 FSB and I get LOWER TEMPERATURES!!!!!
I use 1:1 bios setting for CPU and DRAM speeds either 333 or 400 FSB.
How can this by possible?

I use Speedfan which seems to follow the temp in the bios. I've heard that MBM is also accurate. As far as your temps going down on a OC that is very odd indeed.

55-60 is what most people recommend as maximum temp under load.
I know its rated up to 85C but won't it start being unstable around 75C?
I use SpeedFan, MBM5 to check temps. Not sure about the case temp but the socket temp is like 28-35C I believe.

Hi, i need the BIOS for the Bios for MSI K7n2 delta 2 LSR Motherboard, because i have a Mobile Barton 2800+ CPU with FSB 266 and it isn't recognized correct, i would like to set the Multiplier to 16, the highest setting is 13 - but at 13 my system didnt boot anymore. I tried the B72 Bios, but it didn't help. Thanks

I already said in the other thread you can't set 16 manually. Set it to auto.
