For no apparent reason, my email will not autofill addresses. I have no problem on IE, Chrome or Opera. This problem just started with firefox within the last 24 hours. My mail server is AT&T/Yahoo, and I use webmail - not a mail program.
With all other browsers, when I compose an email, once I start to put the recipient's name in the To box, it will autofill the name if it is in my Contacts. This has been the case with firefox until the last 24 hours. Now, firefox does not automatically recognize any of my contacts. This problem is not happening on IE, Chrome, or Opera. I access my email through my AT&T/Yahoo account on the web, not through a mail program.
please try to uninstall the adobe flash plugin from the windows control panel. afterwards manually delete any leftover files in ''C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash'' and download & install the plugin again (uncheck the option to install the bundled security software): www.adobe.com/go/getflashplayer

Within the last hour, I noticed that my older MacBook Pro, while I was using iTunes, lost contrast on the screen. I am sorry, but I did not take exact notes on this event. Around the same time, I did do a back up, uploaded Apple software, etc.
I'm using two MacPros simultaniously, the old one for iTunes, and the new one for the other things. My new one has no problems, so am wondering if there is an easy way to correct the older MacPro's contrast problems. The computer is over three years old, and I'm wondering also if this failure is an aging sign. (I also have other problems, such as a noisy DVD drive, which is part of the reason I bought a new MacBook Pro.)Is the older MBP a pre-Unibody model from early 2008? If so, you would be entitled to a free repair.
The lost contrast could be considered distorted video.
Do you have an external monitor? If the external shows the same lost contrast, the graphics chip is likely the culprit. If the external is OK, then you probably have an issue with the built in display or possibly with its connections.
You may also want to check in Universal Access to see if the contrast bar is set in its normal position (all the way to the left).
Apple has a special test they can run to diagnose the NVIDIA issue, so if you have access to an Apple Store, make an appointment at the genius bar to have it run.

For no apparent reason my ipad will not connect to the internet. Ammessage "safari cannot open this page because server has stopped responding. However 2 other ipads used in the same house are working fine !!!!! Why is it so ???? please help
Try a soft reset by pressing down the home and sleep buttons simultaneousely until the Apple logo appears, then release the buttons. This is a safe proceedure, so you won't lose any stored data.

It has only started to happen within the last five days, with no apparent catalyst - I didn't update the software or download anything weird. I've managed to show my dad this bug, and he said it's an issue with the 4 or 4S, that my fingers are covering up some sensor.
What's going on, and how can I get it to stop? My iphone 4 (Model MD128B/A) running iOS 7.1.2 has developed a problem when receiving calls, for no apparent reason. The caller can hear me, but unless I switch to speakerphone, I cannot hear them. The mute button still functions normally. I have rebooted the phone but this has not resolved the issue. Any ideas about how to resolve this problem? Thanks.

I understand that you are unable to hear callers though the receiver on your iPhone 4 unless you change the sound to the speaker. In this situation, I would recommend reading over the attached article and verifying that the troubleshooting steps have been completed. If the issue continues, it may be necessary to follow the link towards the bottom of the article and contact Apple Support.

Cannot send email from my iPhone or iPad. The server rejects a recepient for no apparent reason. The recipient is not new. This issue happens on reply or reply to all or froward; not a new email to the same recepient. What is happening?
I talked with a tech today and he said I cloud is having problems which should be resolved shortly.
In the mean time I used the .me smtp server settings which allowed me to send mail. -

For no apparent reason my phone stopped working...so I did a reset and got the message 'Restore Needed'. I connected to iTunes and got this message: 'iTunes could not connect to the iPhone because it is locked with a passcode. You must enter your passcode on your iPhone before it can be used with iTunes'.
The problem is, I can't enter my passcode because I'm not given that option on the iPhone. All I seem to be able to do is make an emergency call.
It's been working fine otherwise. Any suggestions?
This is the SECOND replacement iPhone I've had this week and I'm getting a bit fed up.

If so reboot your iPhone and enter the passcode to get it operational. Launch Image Capture on the Mac and connect the iPhone. Now you should be able to download the video files to wherever you want on your hard drive.

I have a iPad, 32g, and for no apparent reason, the screen goes black and whatever app I am using is closed on me. It seems to be happening more and more frequently, especially when loading apps, or trying to watch a YouTube video. I try to open safari or youtube again and it will often crash several times before it may or may not decide to load for me. It is extremely annoying and getting to the point where I can not use it
Standard troubleshooting steps in order are as follows:
Power the iPad off and on.
An iPad reset, which is done by pressing and holding the home button and the sleep/wake or on/off button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo and then release.
Restore your iPad with iTunes from your iPad's backup.
Restore your iPad with iTunes as a new iPad or not from your iPad's backup.
If no change after the last step, your iPad has a hardware problem. -
When using Safari, my iPad 1 will end Safari and return to the home screen for no apparent reason, any ideas as to cause and solution?
See if the following help.
Try clearing Safari's cache : Settings > Safari > Clear Cookies And Data and also Clear History
If that doesn't work then try closing Safari completely and then re-open it : from the home screen (i.e. not with Safari 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Safari app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
A third option is a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
Turning off iCloud and multitasking gestures on the iPad might also help. -
Using OS 10-6-8. For no apparent reason, mail refused to open, the icon in the dock changed appearance and the application has disappeared except in iWork. Under Iwork, the message says: "you tried to open Mail version 4.5 (1084/1085) in: /Applications/iWork '06. Using OS 10-6-8. It can't be used on thius version of Mac OS X. Try opening the version of Mail located in the Applications folder..." How do I get back to mail and retrieve my existing messages?
You should consider downloading the 10.6.8 combo updater and applying it again.

Firefox crashes for no apparent reason and at no apparent "same point" I have two machines that this is hapening on, both are running Firefox 3.6 and Xmarks back-up.
