For people who have had it die due to sweat - how did you have it?

The title is basically my question. For people who have had it die due to sweat, what orientation/where did you have it? I'm just wondering if all the claims are from having the open adapter slot face up, where sweat would easily drip into it.

@WalleWalle you are brave. Try drying it out in the sun or in some rice, and don't turn it on for a day or 2. The best thing to do would be to take it apart right away, disconnect the batter and wash the circuit with DI water, but that would be very difficult!

Having the same issue after downloading the lastest version of itunes. Apple is going to lose me as a customer, if this keeps up with their software updates. They never seem to work.
Really, they should want me to be able to access their store. That's money out of their pocket.

If you aren't receiving password reset emails and your security questions don't work, someone has hijacked your account.
This happened to me.
You need to use Expresslane to contact iTunes support to regain access to your account ASAP.

Horlacher, we want you to subscribe to only the wireless tools that you need. Family Base allows you to monitor your usage and set limits on usage for data, messages, calls and purchases. You also have the ability to block incoming calls and text messages, as well.

Display XML Idoc for people who do not understand XML

Hi,
does anybody know an easy way to make an Idoc XML readable for people who do not have any knowledge about XML?
This request comes from our sales department. We store incoming ORDERS.ORDERS05 Idocs from customers in XML format on a file server before mapping and sending them into an R/3 system to create the sales orders. For some reason, the sales people in our company sometimes have to have a look at the original incoming file.
Our intension is to give them an easy tool to open the Idoc XML and get it displayed in a more or less clearly arranged way, maybe as HTML table or something similar. Unfortunately I am not too familiar with XSLT.
Any ideas?

Hi Philipp,
you need to do some kind of transformation. XSLT would be my first idea, but if you are not familiar with it, it might be worth a try to have a look at graphical report generators. They will take the hassle of doing manual coding from you.
Or there are XSLT mapping tools available which allow you to transform from XML to HTML, doing basically the same thing.
I do not know if I am allowed to supply some product names here, but I guess a google query for "report generator" or "xslt mapping tool" will yield some results.

this is for people who wants to mirror all they apple devices when they travel and don't want to unplug everything from the apple tv and take it with them, you can get the amazon fire tv stick and download an app called airplay upnp or the reflector app and mirror all of your apple devices to it, it is great for traveling easy to setup and move around, for example if your traveling and want to use it in the conference room and then want to take with you back to the hotel for the night and plug it in and keep on doing that routine.

The Verizon DVR is admittedly not the sharpest box on the market. I admit to giving up on the multi-room DVR product, it just never worked satisfactorily for me.

You do however make two statements that incorrect. Current TiVO's only need 1 cable card, since the standard cable card today in Verizon's stock is the M-Card. You also have the option with TiVO of paying either an annual fee, or a one time fee, both of which are lower in the long term than the month to month fee. Alternatively you can by the Moxi DVR, and it includes lifetime service in the purchase price.
While in theory a truck roll costs $79, in practice if it is for a Cable Card install, it is free (I think FCC regulations preclude the charge).
Apparently there is nothing in Verizon's order processing system that tells reps that there is no charge for Cable Card installations, so they often quote the $79 fee because that is the standard charge for technician to come out. As far as I can tell (and there have been lots of posts about cable card installs), no one has in fact been charged the $79 fee..

Providing archival folio for people who bought subscriptions

I have a kiosk in which each issue has a fixed in-app price. Also, I would like to add to the kiosk possibility to buy an annual subscription for all the issue for next year, but that does not give me the opportunity to download all the previous folio, with a subscription. Is it possible, with the Adobe DPS Professional suite, to provide free archival issues for people who have bought an annual subscription? If not, what is the easiest way to do this with the version Enterprise, with minimum of programming.

I am feeling so ripped off right now. I have wanted a Mac for years and believed the hype about it's stability and I have had more trouble with this Imac 2011 than I have ever had with a pc. It locks up with several software products from APP store.

I was told that the APP store software should give me no problems but the truth is that it locks up on the software. This machine is only 4 weeks old and I am using 37 g on a 1 T hard drive. There is no reason for it to be locking up. Also, when I try to use the help program, it always tells me that I am not connected to the internet even though I have used both the mail program and the browser with no problem just before that. I successfully used the help program on my pc lots of times. I did not need a $2000. plus machine to just get email. I just wanted to unload on somebody that might understand my pain and after checking out this site...I think there is a few of you out there.

The apps downloaded from the Mac App Store are written by third party developers, not Apple. If you have problems with those apps you need to visit the support area for their websites. Launch the App Store, locate the app name. You should see a support link.

Go to ~/Library/Preferences. Move the com.apple.helpviewer.plist file from the Preferences folder to the Trash. Restart your Mac, try the Help menu.
If you need help finding that file, hold down the Finder icon in the Dock then click: New Finder Window. From the menu bar top of your screen click: Go > Go to Folder. Type this in exactly as you see it here: ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.helpviewer.plist That will take you right to that file.
(.plist) files stores information about a particular app or in this case, the Help viewer. Often times deleting the .plist file resolves the issue.
It's fine to "unload"... we understand that you expect your iMac to be stable but there are times when things go awry. That's why we have these forums so that you can you get help.
