The easiest thing to do would be to sign into your iTunes account on your computer, connect your phone and sync. iTunes should copy anything from your phone that isn't already in your library on the computer.

Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash
Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps you shouldn't lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping. Note that in iTunes 11 an "empty" library may show your past purchases with links to stream or download them.
In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename iTunes Library.itl as iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl and then rename the restored file as iTunes Library.itl. Start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library.
Alternatively, depending on exactly when and why the library went missing, there may be a more recent .tmp file in the main iTunes folder that can be renamed as iTunes Library.itl to restore the library to a recent state.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to catch up with any changes since the backup file was created.
When you get it all working make a backup!
Should you be in the unfortunate position where you are no longer able to access your original library, or a backup of it, then see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.
I've noticed more of these missing library posts of late and a common factor since I started asking is AVG Anti-Virus. It seems it might be at least part of the reason why the library file disappears. Try excluding the iTunes folder from any real-time scanning process.

For some reason I am unable to access my purchased itunes music from the purchased folder in the itunes store or in my icloud. The descriptions of the songs I purchased are there, but when I attempt to play them it says that the original location of the song cannot be located. This is so frustranting. How do I get my songs back??
Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.

Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.

for some reason the only photos that do the random scrolling are photos in the events section of iphoto. is it possible to include the albums from iphoto to scroll as well. the know the albums have synced because i can view them in slideshow pls help

I assume you are referring to the screensaver. You can change the photos used by the screensaver in the screensaver settings. Note if you have a large number of photos in the collection you choose for screensaver, not all of them will be used due to the limited storage available to the Apple TV. -
My wife and I have I Phones. Today for some reason all of my contacts appeared on my wife's phone. What would cause this?
This could happen if you are both syncing to the same contact source, such as with the same iCloud account, or to the same supported program on your computer (e.g., Outlook).

I have been backing up iMovie 08 files to my external drive, but for some reason I can't open these files in iMovie. I used drag and drop to copy them.
You really should be doing backups with an actual backup application, especially one that will work automatically, and, if your external HD is large enough, back up your entire system. These can automatically back up only what's changed since the previous backup, and some will keep "archive" copies of things you've changed or deleted, also.
Too many things can go wrong, such as your internal HD failing, and you'll have a major project to reinstall everything.
You already have Time Machine, built-in to OSX. You might want to review the Time Machine Tutorial, and perhaps browse Time Machine - Frequently Asked Questions.

PLEASE HELP!!! I am simply trying to update the APN settings on my Iphone3 AT&T carried Straight Talk SIM phone. For some reason, when I enter the Straight Talk APN info in the Config Utility and click "Install", NOTHING HAPPENS. WHY? I have spent almost 2 full days simply trying to get the cellular data network settings to appear and I am now at the point of pulling hair and/or smashing things. Why is it so difficult to simply update the cellular data network APN settings on a standard Iphone 3 ATT with a unlimited Straight Talk plan? Everyone knows that Straight Talk's $45 a month unlimited data/calling plan is supposed to be 100% compatible with AT&T carried Iphones. Will someone please tell me HOW TO UPDATE THE APN SETTINGS ON THIS IPHONE 3. Thanks and God bless

For some reason when my daughter sends a text to someone else I get it and vice versa. Also, when I send a text to her the text comes to me as well. How do I stop this from happening?
This is iMessages, not an SMS/MMS, and this means the same Apple ID is registered for iMessage on each iPhone.
You or your daughter need to activate your own Apple ID for iMessage and FaceTime. The same Apple ID can continue to be shared for iTunes store downloads - for music and apps.
On the iPhone, go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive. Select the Apple ID at the top and sign out. Sign in with the new Apple ID.
Make sure the same email address is not available below You can be reached by iMessage at on each iPhone. -
I used to have the iPhoto application and for some reason it is now gone. Do I have to pay 14.99 in order for me to be able to have it again or is there a way I can get it back. I have a MacBook pro 10.9.5 .
Depends on what you had
If you had iPhoto version 9.5.1 then you can reinstall from the app store under purchases
If you had any version of iPhoto '11 then you can install for free from the App store
If you had any earlier version of iPhoto (iPhoto '09 version 8.x.x) or older then you need to purchase iPhoto '11 version 9.x.x from the app store
If you had iPhoto '08 (version 7.x.x) or older then you also need to download and run the iPhoto library upgraded prior to launching the new iPhoto

Did you set up your phone to sync Contacts with iCloud? If not sure, you can log in to https://www.icloud.com and see if your contacts are there.

i took a trip for 3 weeks. i found out that the mozilla browser on my laptop always starts the webpages at the center so i can't reach any part of the left side of the webpage without zooming far out. the only possibility of it being a human interference would be my brother tampering with it while i was away. other than that, my computer seems untouched. i've downloaded and installed mozilla again and it still doesn't fix the problem. please help as it is getting annoying!

I bought an iTunes gift card to purchase certain things in my favorite app. Well when I try to buy things inside the game it does not give me the option to approve the purchase and it never shows up. I have reset the app, I have deleted the app and downloaded again, I have turned my ipod off and on, I have made sure all updates are up to date and nothing has changed. I saw a similar question like mine and the answer was that you have to have a credit card linked to your iTunes account to make in app purchases and I was thinking they were right until I talked to a few friends who cancelled their credit cards and took them off of the account and can still make in app purchases so that can't be the issues. Can someone please help me this is driving me crazy I have talked to iTunes support but they weren't much support.
