For some reason my Ipod Nano 5th Generation is not recognized by my laptop - it will connect and then immediatly disconnect - Itunes finds it OK ! Any suggestions, I have reinstalled Itunes and I have reset my Ipod and still no luck

I'm not sure if it charged when I hooked it up to my roommate's computer, but it definately didn't register either. If I put it on the dock it plays so the port is fine, but that still doesn't help me sync it to my computer.

I just had this problem as well and spent quite a bit of time reviewing all of the suggestions/ideas/comments, and since I am not that tech-savy I remembered this "suggestion" from the UK show The "IT Crowd" which was "Have you tried turning it off and on again??" (both devices)

Each of you need to have your own apple id's instead of sharing is the best way. But you can go to each phones settings, messages, send and recieve, and down to start new conversation from, and make sure each of you have your own email address with a check mark beside of it not the same address.

A. I was uploading some pictures from my camera to my Mac then I closed it. next time tried to open it and it went right to the way that the pictire before shows.
Did it ever work properly?
A. It had some details; like taking a lot of time to send a picture from iPhoto to an e-mail or not send it at all.
What steps have I tried already to solve the issue?
A. None, I havent wanted to do anything to fix it because I'm afraid I could somehow delete my pictures. I know the pictures still there; because, they are on my screen saver changing and changing.

Try changing the cord. I could NOT get my computer to recognize my iPod 5th Gen until I read somewhere that different apple devices use different cords. I was inadvertently using my iPad cord and that caused my computer to not recognize my ipod.

If no change after the following steps, your iPhone likely has a hardware problem.
Power your iPhone off and on.
An iPhone reset, which is done by pressing and holding the home button and the sleep/wake or on/off button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo and then release.
Restore your iPhone with iTunes from the backup.

My Ipod Nano 5th generation is not being detected by Widows and Itunes. I have tried everything based on the trouble shooting tips outlined. Has anyone had this situation before? How was it resolved. My Ipod is just out of warrenty

Have done all trouble shooting tech a through Apples and still have not resolved issues on Windows and itunes not detecting my Ipod nano 5th generation device. Tried restoring the device manually using disk mode and still not being detected by the computer. Device is our of warenty as when service repair charges are $125.00 dolars more than I paid for this device. There must be some way to restore the entire device to factor settings without having to be connected to itunes and Windows. I wish I could connect but again device is not being read. I have another Ipod that is 8GB instaed of 16GB and it works fine. The sad thing about this situation is that my 9year old daughter worked hard doing delivering fliers for a long time to save her money to buy this 16 GB 5th generation Nano. Otherwise the Ipod works well but will not syncronize songs as it is not being detected. Maybe this is a result of corrupt files that got onto my daughters Ipod somehow and thus causing it not the be detwected through the USB connection thus as a result not be understoud as a working device through Windows and itunes. If anyone can help me out there including itune techs that would be well appreciated, but for now my daughter is not able to add new or delete any songs on her ipod as well pictures, and everything. HT1349 For some reason part of the apps on my IPad just say waiting; they were working fine and then just turned dark and say waiting but didn't update when I updated all the apps. Any suggestions?

Hi you guys,four days ago my FT and iMessage worked well on my iPhone 5 IOS6.1.3,but my phone Number did not in the caller ID loop,so I turned both of them off,when I wanted to turn it on again,but failed,I tried so many times,but make no difference,It shows me"waiting for activation".Then I found the solution on internet,and you know there are many possible solutions,just like:
1.change the wifi DNS to 8.8.8.8,8.8.4.4.and you must turn your cellular ON.
2.restore the phone setting.Settings>>General>>reset>>all the phone setting.
3.restore the network setting.Setting>>General>>reset>>the network setting.
3.reset the network.
4.reset your Date&time.Setting>>Date&Time>>set automaticlly>>ON.
5.change another network to activate.
6.take out the sim card to activate.

I followed all the setting above 1.2.3.4.5.6,the only difference is i turned the "enable 3G" OFF(Settings>>General>>Cellular Data>>Enable 3G>>OFF),but it keep ON before now.
seriously,i am not sure if the "enable 3G"causes this problem,but it really happened to me,so you guys can try if you have the same problem,
