For some reason, my mac says i only have 7 gb memory left, when just recently i had 120gb.. what do i do?

How do I fix it.. my mac says i only have 7gb memory left, when i just had 120gb recently and i did not download anything that big

Are you confusing two different things?
Memory and storage or disk space?
The space on your hard disk is called storage or disk space and is used to store data on your disk (files, photos, videos, software, etc.)
The memory in your computer is called RAM (Random Access Memory) and is used by your system and applications.
Average hard disk in a computer is 500gb to 1tb
Average memory on a computer is from 2gb to 8gb
It is impossible that you ever had 120gb of memory in your Mac.
If it is disk space you are talking about, then it could be many things that are taking space on your hard disk;
Did you download many movies, games or other large files from the internet?
Did you transfer a large amount of high resolution photos?
