For some reason, my USB flash drive is being recognized as an external hard drive, is there any way to fix this?

I think I used Disk Utility on this flash drive before and know it won't show that it's a flash drive, my other flash drives still show up as flash drives so is there anyway to fix this? I'm on Mac OS X 10.9.3.

A workaround.
If you would like to change the drive icon:
- Under Finder right click on a flash drive and choose " Get Info "
- click on the disk icon at the top, from the desktop menu select Edit -> Copy
- Under Finder right click on the problematic volume and choose " Get Info "
- click on the disk icon at the top, from the desktop menu select Edit -> Paste

Some photos pulled from iPhoto turn green when placing them in a project. Is there any way to fix this?

I am using a Macbook Pro with 2GHz Intel Core i7 processor; 8 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 memory and OS 10.9.4. I have iPhoto 9.5.1 and iMovie 10.0.4. I have a project with video, and have added some still photos from my iPhoto Library. All of the photos appear fine until I add them to a project. Then some of them turn to a solid green. If I create a mp4 from this project, the offending photos remain green.
I have checked the offenders in iPhoto to see if there is a common denominator. There is no common camera and no common editing. I did make a previous attempt to place some of the photos into an iMovie project and some of them were dropped into the wrong place--like into a title. But didn't notice any glitches at that time, only afterwards and I'm not sure if any of the problem photos were a part of that incident.
I have absolutely no problem with iPhoto. Is there a library file that can be deleted to force iMovie to rebuild its connection to iPhoto.

Yes, you stop using the same Apple ID under Settings > iCloud.

My Photos app works the same on iOS 5 as it did on iOS 4 i.e. I can have a different track for each album. When I select a track for a photo album I then start the slideshow so that it shows the first couple of photos with the track playing - I'm not sure it's necessary to start the slideshow but I always do and it remembers that track for that album.

I recently switched from AT&T for a cheaper price, but so far my experience connection-wise across Chicago has been absolutely terrible. Where I used to get 4-5 bars 4GLTE in my apartment at 60640, I now get 3G if I'm lucky (have NEVER seen 1X before on AT&T even in the most remote of locations).
I also have poor connections near my work at 60611. Had (again) a bar of 1X and the person next to me had 3 bars 4G LTE with AT&T again.
So far plenty of regrets... and doing my research, I see many complaints in Chicago LTE services. Hoping there is a fix out there soon.

I've been making my iTunes music purchases on my iPhone for over a year now. I bought a new one so I relied on iCloud to keep my purchases on record. When downloading my songs, I saw that some of them were missing. When I logged into the iTunes store, it said that the albums (yes entire albums are missing) have been "PURCHASED", therefore I can't buy them again. In Firefox 3.6, typing "gmail" in the address bar would simply open the gmail page (and similarly for youtube, etc.). This version brings up a google search instead of just opening gmail or youtube, etc. Is there any way to "fix" this?

Basically, getting a google search instead of the actual page is an inconvenience, at least for me.

The change between Firefox 3.6.* and Firefox 4 is how location bar search works. In Firefox 3.6 it uses Google "Browse by name" search. With the browse by name search, it performs a Google search and if there is a clear match it will take you to the site, otherwise it shows the Google search result. With Firefox 4 it just performs a Google search if you type something which is not recognised as a URL.
To get the Firefox 3.6 behaviour on Firefox 4 you need to change a hidden preference.

Apps are not tied to the machine, but to the owner and his/her account. Once you set up the iPad with your iTunes account, all the apps downloaded by the previous owner will be gone and you will have to get them again. The only ones that should stay are the built-in apps that can't be deleted - YouTube, Safari, Contacts, etc.

It's a permissions problem. Try this: right click on your iTunes icon and choose "run as administrator" that might fix it.

Just updated to 7 and now the scroll function on my touchpad on my laptop doesn't work in Firefox. It works fine on all other programs and the scroll works fine on my USB mouse. Is there any way to fix this?

Using a relatively new Toshiba Satellite series laptop PC. Scrolling worked fine on whatever older version of Firefox I had (it's been a few months since the last time I updated before 7).

To open the about:config page, type about:config in the location (address) bar and press the "Enter" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website. 
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.
