For some reason, when I took pics they always went to my PC(windows) then just stopped.
Greetings, I am praying you folks can help me out. When ever I took pictures with my iphone 4s the pictures would go right to a photo folder on my windows PC, I love it. It made things a whole lot easier than sending files to myself, grrrrr. Being disabled more steps, just mean more complications, and more pain. Then all of a sudden they just stopped, going to the PC...grrrr! I tried going to the cloud on PC to photostream to check options, I clicked on the options, it did nothing. Meaning it went to no other options or anything. Even doubled check, installed reinstalled cloud, with no luck.Please help! My iphone is running iOS 6

Second, could you please tell us more about this statement: I took my older macbookmair in for service and was told I had several viruses...some bad. I suspect you were being scammed. The term virus is sometimes used to describe "malware". Perhaps what was on the computer was some other form of malware.

Finally, I personally have used Macs for almost 30 years without ever installing anti-virus software. I am however scrupulous about keeping my Macs free of garbage (like Mackeeper, to name one), adware, and so on.

Confirm the following before trying to sync the ringtone to your phone:
That it is really a ringtone: right-click on the file in iTunes, select Get Info, on the Summary tab it must say Kind: Ringtone
That the ringtone is 40 seconds or less in length
That you have checked "Sync only checked songs and videos" on the Summary tab of your iTunes sync settings
That you have a checked the box next each of the ringtones you want to sync to your phone
That you checked "Sync Tones" on the Tones tab of your iTunes sync settings -
For some reason when i send texts now they are saying that they come from my email address. any ideas how to fix this?
Check Settings>Messages>Receive At>Caller ID, make sure it's set to your phone number not your email address.

I want to open a folder in a separate window by clicking on it. For some reason when I click on a folder it just replaces the one I was just in. I want them both to be open at the same time without having to go through several steps. Old apple operating systems made it easy to have several folders open at one time.
Eric, thanks that works but seems like an extra added step also to do it that way. I've got to move and organize a ton of files and I'm looking for a easy way to get this done. I could also open the folder into a separate tab and then drag the tab out so it becomes an open window but thats a lot of fussing around also with extra steps. Not sure why these newer operating system seems more confusing and less user friendly than what they used to. In the past I could just click on any folder and it would open in a separate window making it really easy to copy or move files from one place to the other just by simply dragging them from one window to the other. Seems like I'm going through several extra steps now to do a simple task.

For some reason, when my Macbook Pro starts up now, all of the MS Office applications open. This was not happening when I first purchased the laptop, and I never added these apps to the startup menu. How do I remove these apps from startup?
By default Mac apps do not close when you close the window you were working in. Unlike in Windows when you click the top right X icon in any program is closes the window and the program shuts down. On Mac OS X clicking the X in the top left hand corner only closes that windows and leave the program running in the background. If they are left open and you reboot they will restart with the system and load a window for them.

for some reason , when i restore my iphone 4s to factory settings my headphones work when listening to music or youtube videos but when i backup my information onto it , it only comes out of one ear bud and i just got a new one from the apple store. my old iphone 4s audio jack was messed up but i just got a new one with my warranty , can anyone help me please.
It doesn't matter what it is in your backup that's causing the problem because you can not selectively restore things from your backup. It's all or nothing.
Set you phone up as a new device and start over. -

This is iMessages, not an SMS/MMS, and this means the same Apple ID is registered for iMessage on each iPhone.
You or your daughter need to activate your own Apple ID for iMessage and FaceTime. The same Apple ID can continue to be shared for iTunes store downloads - for music and apps.
On the iPhone, go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive. Select the Apple ID at the top and sign out. Sign in with the new Apple ID.
Make sure the same email address is not available below You can be reached by iMessage at on each iPhone. -

Hi, I have the iPhone 4, 32GB, version 4.3.5 (8L1) and for some reason when I connect it to the laptop, it starts synchronising but never goes beyond step 1. It goes on syncing forever, without actually doing anything. I have tried everything, wiped the phone numerous times, deleted all files from the laptop but still no resolution. As a result, the phone does not really synchronise.
This started somewhere in May 2011 when I upgraded what proved to be a problematic s/w version and the phone has not recovered since.
Now I cannot update the iPhone s/w any longer.
Any clue?You may have to try deleting all the music from your phone (by going to Settings>General>Usage>Music, swipping All Music and tapping Delete), then sync it all back on with iTunes in order to fix this.

For some reason when I shut down my computer then turn it back on, it comes back directly into my account, bypassing having to enter a password to get into my account. This works in direct conflict with the parental controls I've got set up. Any ideas?

Hello I just bought the USB super drive for the mac book pro and for some reason when I put the disc in and I download the content and for some reason when I put the aplication just a bunch of random words come out,not the content the disc brings.
