For some reason when iMessage tries to verify my email, it wont work. It sends me right back to the previous "Sign in with your Apple ID or create a new account". How can I fix this?

I'm not sure what happened besides the fact I accidentally changed the date and time. After that my iMessage has been acting up and won't verify my email. What do I need to do?

Change the email on the old account to another new, current email address.
An email address can only be linked to one Apple ID.
It is possible to have content from multiple Apple ID's on a single iDevice.

Go into Settings App and turn OFF Find My iPhone. It will ask for your old password, but in the future you can use your new Apple ID account. - Charge the iPod for half an hour. Then reset the iPod:

Not a solution, but was able to login at work. Then when I got back to the hotel all was fine and it works now. Just will not change IDs I guess.

There has never been a facetime app on the iphone.
As the manual says, you access from contacts. Pick a contact and scroll down to the facetime button

her iPhone is probably also signed in with your Apple ID (iTunes account) for iMessage. Have her check Settings>Messages>Send & Receive on her iPhone. I'd also have her check Settings>FaceTime. If your ID is there have her sign out.

iChat uses different internet ports to do different tasks.
If you have the Mac Firewall On then this should allow the ports the app is Using on an Incoming basis.
These same ports also need to be allowed in your router.
If the device has it use UPnP if you can.
This allows the app to state which ports it wants to use and also for multiple devices to use the same ports.
(It is needed for iChat Screen Sharing that involves a random port that cannot be opened in other methods)
Can you also open the Connection Doctor (Video Menu of iChat) and say what it says on each tab ?

Downgrading to a previous version of iOS is not supported.
