Is there a way to migrate the user-wise organization access rights information from 11i to R12 ? Does this falls under DBA purview ?

I assume you are talking about Organization Access (in Inventory). As far as I know, there is no api for this. You can consider using a key-mapping software such as Data loader / winparrot.
OR
you can write your own script to insert records into the org_access table. It should be a straight forward insert. You just need to ensure that the combination of organization_id, responsibility_id and resp_application_id is valid.

I can't open a folder in a New Tab, nor have the option to after right-click.

After changing my Finder preferences back and forth, restarting, and trashing my library files to no avail, I'm wondering if anyone has a solution.
I can create new tabs, but only by using the '+' button in an open Finder window OR the File drop-down menu.

Click on the Finder window to set your keyboard focus. Now, if you press command+T, a new Finder tab will appear. This works in all four Finder views. To open an existing folder in a New Tab, it is either a right-click, or two finger Trackpad tap, on the icon –– to pop the contextual menu with the Open in New Tab option. Again, this too works in all four Finder views.

AD - SunDS 5.2 minumal access rights required to set passwords in DS

I am doing Identity Integration for one of our clients with MIIS 2003.
Among other connections we will have:
MS Active Directory -> Sun DS 5.2
I have already set up password synchronization pushed out from AD to DS and it works just fine.
What I need to accomplish though, is to state minimum access requirements for access to DS.
Client will not give us a user with administrative priveleges so we need to recommend a user with minumum access rights.
Obviously this user must have a 'write' for userPassword.
What else?

I found out the answer:
Basic access rights resulting from standard SunDS behaviour (from Sun manuals):
All users have anonymous access to the directory for search, compare, and read operations.
Bound users can modify their own entry in the directory, but not delete it. They cannot modify the aci, nsroledn,and passwordPolicySubentry attributes, nor any of their resource limit attributes, password policy state attributes or account lockout state attributes.
In order to be able to synchronize passwords we must have (in addition to standard access rights):
�Write� access right for �userPassword� attribute for a particular dc.
In order to make password synchronization more secure, we can limit workstations (by selecting IP pool), which can originate password synchronization.

Beginner question about granting access rights

Hi, am a total beginner, just a very simple question. I have created a number of tables with my admin account that I would like user accounts to be able to see (they should only be allowed to see these few tables)
I then created a user account called EDWARD with just the basic connect access right (I don't want them to be able to create/delete tables etc, just to be able to query the tables I have created above and to add rows to these tables)
Google searching has lead me to the grant statement, so I tried this from the admin account:
grant select, update, insert on CUSTOMERS to EDWARD;
This statement executes correctly but when I log in the EDWARD account I cannot do any of these things, instead I get the error: ORA-00942: table or view does not exist
Any ideas?

Yes, this is what I would advise, since SYSTEM (like SYS and several others...) is not user like other, it's better do not work and create object under this one. Keep it for Oracle administration usage only, not for application administration, create your own schema for this.

Identity Server - orcladmin access rights

Hi,
I have created the identity server which points to the directory server and have marked orcladmin as the master administrator. When I login into the Identity Server using the orcladmin user and try to create users, the message Insufficient Access Rights is displayed in red. Any idea why this might be happening.

Unfortunately, Apple removed the feature to "browse backups" in Time Machine backups of iPhoto a few years ago.
You have to restore the entire iPhoto library to a separate location to be able to "see" it, and then choose the specific images that you want use.

To be more precise: I am talking about the logging-in within the System Preferences on my iMac.
When trying to log in with the old ID, I get no access, i.e. it says "Try again"...-Trying the same with the new one gives me the result I mentioned in my first question...
Now I found out how to do it: I had to erase all accounts-then I could sign in with my Apple-ID. Thanks again.

Why are the options for "When Firefox starts" NOT clickable in Firefox 5? I want to choose "Windows and tabs that where opened last time you accessed the net" but Firefox won't let me.

In the previous version of Firefox one could choose to save tabs so that when Firefox opened, all the tabs from the previous sessions appeared. This was done in Settings > Options > General > Startup. In the menu for the "When Firefox Starts" one had the option for "Windows and tabs that where opened last time you accessed the net." in Firefox 5.0, this menu is gray and not clickable. Help, please?

Possibly you are not saving your "browsing history" which is what the session history is tied into.

There are several things that are related to private browsing and not saving History
* Private Browsing Ctrl+Shift+P
* You selected "Never remember history" in first drop-down of Tools > Options Privacy and all of the check marks disappear (See picture above)
* "Permanent private browsing mode" was check-marked under "Use custom settings for history" in the first drop-down of Tools > options > Privacy (see picture above)

I have to work on a FTPS - XI -SAP scenario.
I can see an option for client certificate for user authentication when security is enabled for the FTP adapter. what exactly is this option used for?
P.S: I went through sap help but couldnt quite understand.

So for a FTPS -> XI -> SAP scenario the following settings are required.
1. I have to create a certificate in Visual Admin for the XI server , send a csr to a CA and get it signed by them, and i have to add this to the ssl_service view.
2. I have to hand over the public key to the FTPS server & this key will be used for encryption of the file
the above 2 steps are mandatory.
If i choose to use the client certificate option , i have to get the client certificate from the FTPS server and add it into the TrustedCAs list. This certificate is just to imply that the client is what it claims to be.
Will this certificate be used for encryption?
To make it clear let me put it this way. The certificate created in the XI Server is used for encryption and also for ascertaining that the its what it claims to be.

Hello Nigel.
Are you sure the Bookmarks you important are nowhere to be found? They should be stored in your bookmark manager, somewhere. To access the bookmark manager, go into ''Bookmarks > Organize Bookmarks...''. Try searching there.
You can change their place from there too.
