  • Dashboard based on Crystal Report's Latest instances for the logged in user

    Hi,
I am trying design a dashboard based on LiveOffice-crystal report's latest instance for the logged in user. Also there is row level security in the universe on which the crystal reports is created.
In the live office connection i have selected 'latest instance by current user' in the refresh option and published the dashboard to InfoView.
when i open the dashboard in InfoView , i find the row level restrictions being applied for different users. But the data retrived is always on-demand data and not based on the latest instance of the logged in users.
Can anyone throw some light on this issue.

How to go for the Log Polar Conversion of the image.

    Hi,
I'm not sure if you mean using the polar plot vi, but if so there is an example shipped with LabVIEW. Go to Example Finder and search for 'polar', and you should find Polar Plot Demo.vi. Also, here are some useful links:

  • Phishing link about 1 or 2 weeks ago for the log-in?

Hi. I had posted a question 9 days ago. I got a reply. Then I came to the site and tried to log-on. But for some reason I could not, and there was a bar at the top of the screen with a new host for the log-ins.
I did go onto the site, fill out info and try to get a log-in for Adobes forums. But even then it did not work. I can't remember what it was called right now. Unfortunately I may have sent some info out that was not needed to some "hosting" site that shouldn't have gotten it.
I tried in vain to connect to the forums the normal way, but there was no button. I don't believe I have malware. I didn't give out credit card info, etc.
Does anyone know what that was all about? It was there for a few days, and I did not get any replys in my email inbox from them.
    Thanks.

Right here. I foudn it. Clear Space.

Click log-on. It looked a bit different. It is at the bottom of the forum pages (scroll down) with this link/quote:
    function(){return A.apply(null,[this].concat($A(arguments)))}
Adobe Froums powered by Jive software's Clearspace 2.5.16 - Submit Product feedback.
But the site looked a bit different. And there was a bar at the top of the web-pages with a logo and link. Go to the site and click log on at the top of the page and make an account in the pop-up window.
I didn't get the usual email from joining anything. It seems like a legitimate Adobe partner.
I am concerned too much, I think.

  • New iPad 2 won't bring up log on pages when I sign on to hotel wifi networks. Is there anyway to "refresh" Safari so it looks for the log on page?

Have had new iPAD 2 for a month now- about 90% of the time it won't sign on to wifi networks that require a log on page - it simply won't bring the log on pages up and I haven't figured out anyway to make it do so - I have tried rebooting, turning wifi on and off, turning the ipad on and off -
I get a strong signal from the wifi network but can't get on the internet -   makes the ipad virtually worthless to me.  I saw this was a topic of discussion last year with lots of complaints but I can't find any suggestions or solutions.  Is this just a terribly defective product?
    Any suggestions welcome!

For many systems, you need to use a browser to go to some site. The first site the browser tries to go to, it will be interrupted and a log in page appears. For other sites you need to choose the wifi router in the settings and enter the password.

  • Why is the Log Area size much smaller than the log volume

I have been following up on an Early Watch report that has been generated for our production SCM 5.0 system running liveCache 7.6.02 Build 14.  The alert says "The LOG volumes size in your system is too small. Recommendation: Configure LOG Volumes to at least 2 GB".  There are two interesting things about this.
    1) I have spent the last couple of days reading all the OSS Notes, and MaxDB documentation I could find, and this does not seem to be documented as a recommendation anywhere.  Does this seem like a realistic recommendation without taking into account the level of change actifity?
    2)  There is a single log volume allocated with size 2,097,160 KB.  In production LC10 and DBMGUI report this to be correct size under volume details, but only list the total log area size as 1,706,328 (81% of the volume size).  We have a non-production environment with exactly the same size log volume, but it reports that the log area size is 2,032,008 KB (97% of the volume).  What leads to these different amounts of wasted space, and is there any way of getting the database to start using it?
    Thanks,
    Mark

I did read 869267, several times.  It does not answer my questions which is why I posted here.

Thanks for the explaination of the reserved space for the Log Queue pages.  This does explain why there is the difference between the two.  I think we probably have our log segment size too large.  As you can see we do get occasional log queue overflows.  Do you suggest we increase the size of our log IO queue higher, and allocate more log volume space to compensate?

  • Remote control kicks you out when trying to change the logged in user by clicking on the red N

I'm running Zen 6.5 with the latest updates and the latest agents... I can
successfully remote control a workstation through ConsoleOne but I have 2
    issues:
    1. If I'm in the middle of a remote session and I right click on the red
N icon and change the user, it kicks me out and says "operation is
currently disabled for the logged in user".
    2. Whenever I log in it changes the desktop background to blank (it's
actually a blue background) and it doesn't change it back after I close
the remote session. If I physically go that workstation and logout and
log back in, it still keeps that same blue background.

  • ODI - to declare the variable for the path in Modules & Interface

    Hi,
I have different server names like Development, Test & Production. I have installed ODI client in my local machine.
    1. For creating *10 modules*, i have the flat files in Development server. For now i can hard code the path by \\Development\ODI_FileStore....
    2. In the Interface i am using the hard coded paths for the logs.
Is there any possibility to create a variable for the shared folder and use that variable (like environment variables ...) instaed of using the hardcoded path. If so, can you explain tme how i can create.
Your advise will help me a lot and will be appreciated.
    Thanks & Regards
    Dhamu

    Dhamu,
I think when you say modules, you mean models.
To use multiple files in the same interface, you can use ODI variables.
Read this link for more information : http://odiexperts.com/multiple-files-single-interface

  • SQL Server 2012 Reorg Index Job Blew up the Log File

We have a maintenance plan that nightly (1) runs dbcc checkdb on all databases, (2) reorgs indexes on all databases, compacting large objects, (3) updates statistics, etc. There are three user databases, one large, one medium, one small. Usually it uses
a little more than 80% of the medium database's log, set to 6,700 MB. Last night the reorg index step caused the log to increase to almost 14,000 MB and then blew up because the maximum file size was set to 14,000 MB, one of the alter index commands failed
because it ran out of log space. (Dbcc checkdb step ran successfully.) Anyone have any idea what might cause this? There is one update process on this database, it runs at 3 AM. The maintenance plan runs at 9 PM and completes by 1 AM. The medium database has
a 21,000 MB data file, reserved space is at about 10 GB. This is a SQL 2012 Standard SP 2 running on Windows 2012 Server Standard.

I personally like to shrink the log files once the indexes have been rebuilt and before switching back to full recovery, because as I'm going to take a full backup afterwards, having a small log file reduces the size of the backup.
Do you grow them afterwards, or do you let the application waste time on that during peak hours?
I have not checked, but I see no reason why the backup size would depend on the size of the log file - it's the data in the data file you back up, not the log file.
I would say this is highly dubious.
Erland Sommarskog, SQL Server MVP, [email protected]
Yeah I let the application allegedly "waste" a few milisseconds a day autogrowing the log file. Common, how long do you think it takes for a log file to grow a few GB on most storage systems nowadays? As long as you set an appropriate autogrow
interval so your log file doesn't get too fragmented (full of VLFs), you'll be perfectly fine in most situations.
Lets say you have a logical disk dedicated to log file storage, but it is shared across multiple databases within the instance. Having allocated space for the log files means there will be not much free space left in the disk in case ANY database needs more
space than the others due to a peak in transactional workload, even though other databases have unused space that could have been used.
What if this same disk, for some reason, is also used to store the tempdb log file? Then all applications will become unstable.
These are the main reasons I don't recommend people blindly crucify keeping log files small when possible. I know there are many people who disagree and I'm aware of their reasons. Maybe we just had different experiences about this subject. Maybe people
just haven't been through the nightmare of having a corrupted system database or a crashed instance because of insuficient log space in the middle of the day.
And you are right about the size of the backup, I didn't put it correctly. It isn't the size of the backup that gets smaller (although the backup operation will run faster, having tested this myself), but the benefit from backing up a database with a small
log file is that you won't need the extra space to restore it in a different environment such as a BI or DEV server, where recuperability doesn't matter and the database will be on simple recovery mode.
Restoring the database will also be faster.
Just because there are clouds in the sky it doesn't mean it isn't blue. But someone will come and argue that in addition to clouds, birds, airplanes, pollution, sunsets, daltonism and nuclear bombs, all adding different colours to the sky, this
is an undocumented behavior and should not be relied upon.

  • Setting a particular value as default for the Grouping Range at BP Creation

    Hi,
I am trying to set certain default for the Grouping Range when I create a new Bp using Tcode BP. For this i have changed the PBC fucntion for the view BUP020 ( TCode : BUS3). The Z function module attached is Z_FBSBP_SET_DEFAULT_GROUPING
    FUNCTION z_fbsbp_set_default_grouping.
    ""Local interface:
    *"  IMPORTING
    *"     REFERENCE(IV_ACTION) LIKE  BUS000FLDS-CHAR1
    *"     REFERENCE(IV_SICHT) TYPE  BU_SICHT
      DATA: lv_bu_group TYPE bu_group VALUE 'GR01'.
Set the Grouping Range with a default value for all roles, each time
    when transaction BP is called
SET PARAMETER ID 'BPP' FIELD lv_bu_group.
Call the standard PBC fucntion module for BP Creation
      CALL FUNCTION 'BUP_BUPA_PBC_MISC'
        EXPORTING
          i_action = iv_action
          i_sicht  = iv_sicht.
    ENDFUNCTION.
As per my notion this fucntion module should get triggered once I open the transaction BP and try to create a new BP, but such a thing is not happening.
Can someone help me in this?
    Regards
    Priyanka

    Yes we did,
But its not a very good solution though it serves the purpose.
    See what I did was:
    1. Read the authorization object's values for the logged on user using SUSR_USER_AUTH_FOR_OBJ_GET. From here I retrieve the Grouping Range required for the user.
    2. Keep this value in a variable say gv_grouping_range.
    3. SET PARAMETER ID 'BPP' FIELD gv_grouping_range.
    4. CALL TRANSACTION 'BP'.
The four steps above have been enclosed in a report which has been attached to a new transaction code. We from now on allow user an access to this new transaction and not the standard BP transaction(which of course calls for a major change in roles).
Secondly, the first three steps which have been enclosed in a subroutine set_default_grouping are also called from the BDT view BUP050, where the PBO has been changed to ZBUP_BUPA_PBO_MISC
    FUNCTION zbup_bupa_pbo_misc .
    ""Local interface:
    *"  IMPORTING
    *"     VALUE(I_SICHT) TYPE  BU_SICHT
    PERFORM get_set_def_grouping IN PROGRAM zrpbsbp_create_businesspartner.
      CALL FUNCTION 'BUP_BUPA_PBO_MISC'
        EXPORTING
          i_sicht = i_sicht.
    ENDFUNCTION.
    Hope this helps.

  • What to expect with the "log pair" actions

I've never quite understood what I should expect to find in the pcap file for the "log pair packets" action. Take the following example:
    SigId: 6256-0 (HTTP Auth fail)
    Engine: Atomic IP
    TCP Mask: Ack,Fin,Rst,Syn
    TCP Flags: Ack
    Source Port Range: 80-80
    Regex: [Hh][Tt][Tt][Pp][/][1][.][01][ \t][4][0][1]
    Event Count: 25 <-not default
Event Count Key: Attacker and Victim Addresses
    Alert Interval: 2 <-not default
What I would expect/hope to see is at least all 25 "atomic" packets which triggered the alarm. This doesn't seem to be the case however.
A string search through the pcap file (ethereal) for '401' finds only 5 hits...and all but one are separated by 5 or more seconds.
The very first packet in the pcap file matches the signature (i.e. it is a 401). Is the first packet in the pcap file the last packet that triggered the alarm?

In short, yes. Keep in mind logging is only started after the alert has fired, which in your case above would be AFTER we see the 25th packet in a 2sec period. Actually we will capture that 25th one as that is the TriggerPacket as you mentioned, plus whatever else occurs after that TriggerPacket, but we don't capture/log all 25 packets, simply because for the 1st to 24th packet the alert has not fired.

  • Setting a new Owner for the workitem

    Hi,
I have a self registration workflow. The following are the steps
    1. User fills the form and submits the request
    2. In the workflow I have made it to go to a proxy admin.
    3. There are a set of approve administrators, when they login and check pending approval items for proxy admin. they are able to view the request pending for proxy admin
The requirement is on viewing the approval request form, i need to add the functionality for the logged in admin to take the ownership of the approval request.
So, the whole point is the admin who has logged in should be able to take the ownership of the workitem from proxy admin.
    Please HELP
    Thanks
