Use Toast, it makes "Audio DVD's" (which are not the same as the DVD-Audio standard but a huge disk of audio files).

A Music DVD can be played in a set-top DVD player or in a Macintosh or a Windows computer with a DVD player. A Music DVD should not be confused with a DVD-Audio disc. DVD-Audio discs require a special DVD player. A Music DVD is a standard DVD that contains music (and can also contain photo slideshows and videos), has full navigation menus for song selection, and can be played in any set-top DVD player.
A standard Music DVD can contain over 50 hours of music with Dolby Digital sound. If your recorder supports dual-layer recordable DVDs, you can create a Music DVD with over 100 hours of music.

As a total burning suite, Roxio Toast is excellent and worth every cent. I have been using it for ten years or more and the later releases are super stable and haven't had a disc burning error for a couple of years. A bit limited in themes as babowa mentioned, if that is important to you. But as an overall Mac compatable burner, 5 stars from me. Not cheap, so weigh it up against iLife '11 for your overall needs.

I am running out of usage space. How do I increase the total amount of space I have on my iPhone4S: for things like programs & apps such as, iTunes & more music & like MusicTube & YouTube. The only reason I have any space now is because the music that I had downloaded and synced onto my phone from iTunes I had to take it all off. I would really really love to be able to put my music back onto my iPhone. Currently I'm using apps like Spotify, AOLradio, and MusicTube to listen to music. Also to add to my original question: is what I'm asking even a possibility??? Meaning is there even a way to get more usage space? Or do I have to just continue to work within the confines that apple has preset on the phone?

Before you buy.If you are a long time Nokia/Symbian fan then you will Know full well that Nokia phones ALWAYS improve with software updates, Symbian will not be abandoned and will not be replaced by WP7, it will continue to evolve and improve, as will the handsets. I have Prem.El 12 and have used PE4 for years. I have a new PC that runs Win7Pro. The still images on the computer monitor are within the "safe margins". The still images after the movie has been burned to a disk are MUCH smaller on the TV screen. Is this an issue of 16:9 vs 4:3 ratios? My TV is 4:3. Can I tell PE12 to make the movie a 4:3?

My camera (for stills and video) is set to the 4:3 ratio. It is capable of
being set to a 16:9 ratio if I wanted to do that. I looked in its TOOLS
menu and saw this info.
My TV is definitely a 4:3 TV. (I measured it with my tape measure and
divided W/L to get 1.33) The TV can show a 16:9 movie and just adds the
black bars on the top and bottom. Question: What will my old 4:3 movies
look like on a 16:9 TV whenever we buy one of those?
It seems to me that I want to set PE12 to the NTSC DV Standard you
mentioned.
I do NOT know how to “size your photos so that each has a 4:3 aspect”,
unless you mean doing that in Photoshop Elements, which I know how to do
(*see below)
I had NOT considered that I would need to watch the preset for the
‘Publish+Share’ step; so that’s good to know (I copied and pasted your info
for later use).
BTW, years ago when I had difficulties with my XP computer working on PE4
(had only 2 GB RAM), an Adobe tech told me to resize my photos * to have a
720 pixel width (the height would be automatically adjusted) to lower the
file size to something my computer could handle without crashing. (That
was back in the good ol’ days when Adobe support would actually talk with
their customers and try to help them in the first month)
My new computer has 16GB RAM. Do you think I still need to reduce file
size? One does lose some sharpness in the resizing process…..however,
these videos I’m making are travelogues and are for a fun way to view pics
and videos of a trip…nothing Earth shattering….and just a hobby to keep me
off the streets.
I truly appreciate the time you take to help me (and others). I was even
tempted to try to install my old PE4 on my new computer just to be able to
enjoy my hobby again.

1. If you camera is giving you 4:3 photos and your Premiere Elements 12/12.1 is running on Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit, then leave
the photos as is unless you have a lot of photos and each has pixel dimensions sizes way over 1920 x 1080 pixels that are giving your computer resource issues. If you have to down size them because of computer resources, then copy the photos to a computer desktop folder and also create an empty folder on the computer desktop.
a. Photoshop Elements Editor, File Menu/Process Multiple Files.
Process Files form Folder
Source - browse to and select the computer desktop folder with photos to be resized
Destination - browse to and select the empty computer desktop folder
Image Size
Check Mark Next To Resize Images
(no check mark next to Constrain Proportions)
Type in Width = 1000 (set units for pixels)
Type in Height = 750 (set unites for pixels)
File Size
Check Mark Next to Convert Files To
Set for JPEG High Quality
The above should work fine for a NTSC DV Standard project with a burn to DVD disc with preset NTSC_Dolby DVD (4:3 video).
2. With regard to the TV Set and 16:9 video....when you have the DVD-player attached to the TV, do you have the opportunity to bring up a display of menus with
controls for Picture and Aspect Ratio? From what you have written so far, it looks like the answer is no. I am not sure how your TV DVD
player will handle 16:9.

1. Project preset set manually to NTSC DV Widescreen (please refer to post 1 link)
A few photos sized for 1600 x 1200
In the Premiere Elements project, use the Safety Margins inner rectangle for text placement
Publish+Share/Disc/DVD disc with preset = NTSC_Widescreen_Dolby DVD.
See what that looks like on your TV DVD player.
If you discovered that your current TV DVD player can be set for a 16:9 display, then I have a preferred workflow for
NTSC DV Widescreen which typically gives best possible results. Hints of things to come.

Best Camcorder for Simple VIdeo & Burning DVD
Hi all. I've had a MiniDV camcorder for about 10 years that just broke. Since only 1 camcorder is sold with MiniDV, I'm nervous that I'll need to find a new storage medium for our existing movies. I'd like to buy a new camcorder to take videos of kids etc and have the ability to burn to DVD for future storage.
I don't think I'll plan on editing (but would like the capability) and I've seen the list of Apple supported products and all of the discussions here which have just made my head spin. I'm really just looking to take decent video, put the SD Card into my computer, and burn it to a good quality (not internet) DVD. I was leaning towards either the Canon FS200 or the Sanyo with iFrame but I've seen mixed reviews (which may have just been from Pros).
Lastly, we have a new (2009) MacBookPro with iMovie '09 and iDVD '09.
Any help or advice would be appreciated.This may sound counter intuitive but I and others I know get fine results using just a Canon point-and-shoot camera. A friend and I have spent some time comparing the cost and results from "dedicated" popular-priced video cams compared to our (we both own the same model) Canon S3-IS cameras. If anything - the video quality is a bit better with our "still" cameras. The current version of the S3 can be found at the Canon website. Oh - From S3 onward, this model line takes the high capacity SD cards up to (at least) 8 GB. This size memory card provides over 60 minutes of video at "full size" (640 x 480).
I carry the S3 almost daily - just in case I get a photo op or a "video op" like a fire or other emergency. I've shot video downtown with just street lights for light source: the videos need very little lightening if any under those conditions. My camera has 12 X optical zoom and the latest version has 20X optical zoom. I also like that this model line continues to use 4, AA size batteries (you can use rechargeable NiMb AA, of course). Shop around, I'm pretty sure you can get the latest version for under $400.
Other points: I find the built in microphones in these cameras to be very good - as good as any in a camera in that price range. Downloading (the AVI / QT .mov) files can be done with a simple card reader or with the connect-to-camera USB cable supplied with the Canon camera. I use a card reader - just on the thought that having the camera on while downloading drains the batteries a bit.
The Canon downloader software works fine with Macs - but I use Adobe Bridge because it gives more options for naming files, etc. I would NOT recommend GraphicConverter for downloading / organizing video: it handles digital photos okay but sometimes just "screws up" video files for no apparent reason. Some people now like Picasa for Mac - but I haven't used it much so I can't say myself.
I go with the others responding here when it comes to editing: iMovie HD seems to be the last gasp from Apple when it comes to low-cost (but practical) movie editing.
I did like iMovie 09 - mainly for the "jiggle remover." But the little update (to 8.0.5) really messed up iMovie 09 for me and quite a few other people. -
IDVD Crashed When I Tried to Burn DVD. Now the DVD Doesn't Show on Desktop
Eject button doesn't work. I've tried to restart & hold down the trackpad button.
The disk does't show on the desktop or in sidebar & it's like the MBP doesn't know a disk it there.

Audio lost when burning DVD in preview the sound is there
I have a sound problem with iDVD.
One of the files (MOV) contains photos and sounds. When I preview the DVD in iDVD the sound is good. But when I burn the DVD the sound is gone. I removed the coded files, but the result was the same. The other movie on the DVD is OK.
I have created more dvd's in the same way and it all worked fine.

What is the best dvd burning program to replace idvd? i'm trying to burn good quality DVD's from imovie.
There is no truly "best" replacement - I haven't found one that can do what iDVD can (customizable menus/themes).
You can still purchase the retail iLife 11 disk which includes iDVD from online resellers, ebay, and Amazon. I've seen it there for as little as $25; Apple no longer offers it - I'm assuming they ran out of stock. I purchased it because I use it extensively and wanted to make sure I can reinstall if necessary.
The closest alternative would be Roxio Toast ($$); excellent burning app (plus a slew of other things), I use it, but its' menu choices are not acceptable to me. -

I installed US Bank app and I can not activate it due to US Bank not adding iphone to their list of Verizon devices. Anyone else have this issue?
