I would liked to know especially people from the east cost and better yet from connecticut.
Mine is scheduled for tomorrow by 3 pm.
I want to know if I should skip school or not.
Mine got here around 12, but I wasn't home. I left a note on the door that said:
"Dear Fed-Ex, if no one is home to answer the door, please leave the package with tracking number XXXXXXXXXXX in the mail box or on the porch. Thank you. " and signed it.
He took the note with him I guess because it wasn't on my door anymore when I got home, and my phone was on the porch

Just a heads up regarding iOS 7; use caution if you NEED your phone.
Aside from the myriad things that can go wrong with a major OS upgrade like this, what has happened the last few times Apple released a major upgrade is that many people were left without a functional phone for a few hours as your phone needs to reauthorize itself with Apple after an upgrade, and those authorization servers get overloaded even if those serving the software upgrade itself do not.
If I recall correctly, when iOS 6 was released, many peoples' phones did not authorize for an hour or two.
I also recall that for many the upgrade process itself took multiple hours to complete, and then there were quite a few "teething" issues that needed to be worked out (one of the biggest was that Wi-Fi wouldn't work anymore, with people being asked to log into a website at Apple for which they had no login or password.)
Likewise I recall the iTunes Match servers were swamped, so many were left with a blank music list for a day or two.
Therefore, if you know you're going to need your phone within say three to four hours of when you plan to do the upgrade, you may want to wait until later this week when the traffic to Apple's servers slows down a bit.Meg St._Clair wrote:

You used the data. Verizon can not see what it was sued for. However your phone can see whats apps used the data. go to settings-data usage- there will be a place that says data usage cycle. line the dates up with your cycle. then there will be a bar graph below that extend bother white bars one all the way to the left and one all the way to the right. after those are extended below that will be a list of apps, there should be one that used over 2 gb and that will show you what app used that data in her purse

For those of you who have the ringtone from the iPhone TV commercial -- do you remember what portion of the song (or can you check in iTunes) you used for the actual ringtone? If you could tell me the counter (in seconds and minutes) that you started and ended your tone at, that would be great. I'm trying to get it exactly like the commerical but I don't think I have it just right. Thanks! ...and you're surprised that you had installation issues with iTunes? This makes me wonder whether others who report problems installing iTunes have computers that are equally infected! For reference, I just checked the logs from the last Malwarebytes scan (I run an automated scan twice a week) on my main iTunes system (on which, like the other iTunes instances I run, never seems to suffer from any installation issues) - zero issues -

Yes as long as you use the same Apple ID for iTunes that you used to download the app originally.

Every handset has a unique series of identifiers, one of which is the IMEI number, so if you exchanged the handset (for example if it was not working & you were still under warranty) your new handset would have a new IMEI number.
What Apple do though is if you formally exchange your handset (again, under warranty etc) then they record the change on their system, but also give you a sticker which is meant to attach to the original box. That way, if you come to sell the handset, you have a proper record of why the IMEI number on the handset is different from the IMEI number on the box. -
Does anybody know how to download songs without having to pay for them when you use your voucher. I have redeemed it and have £15 in my account yet everytime I go to download a song it's trying to get me to pay!!! Please help?

You can't. The iPod tuch does not have a phone number. For the Messages and FaceTime apps you use the email address that yu set them up with. With some oher texting apps like Text+, the apps assign you a phone number.

For those of you using two hard drives..........
I have two hard drives, and really want to set them up properly so that logic is running on the main drive, and the secondary drive is for audio/samples etc. So for those of you that have done this, what is the best way? Specifically -
1. For the EXS24- do BOTH the instruments and samples folder need to go on the secondary drive?
2. If you've already been using one drive for everything, how do you re-train logic to see the exs/audio folders on the secondary drive? Is it just a matter of moving them and then redirecting logic when it can't find the files?
Your input on the best way to utilize two drives is most appreciated - what has worked for you, and what hasn't.. For the EXS24- do BOTH the instruments and samples folder

Leave the instruments folder where it is, and put your samples folder on the external drive.
You can alias the instruments folder to whereever you want, but you don't really get any performance advantages doing so.
2. If you've already been using one drive for everything, how do you
re-train logic to see the exs/audio folders on the secondary drive?
Two things to note - you don't need to do anything. When the EXS24 loads an instrument, if the samples are not at the location specified in the instrument, it will search for them, and when it finds them, it will write the new location back to the instrument so next time it won't have to search.
So, if you've moved your sample folders, the first time you access an instrument it will take some time to load while Logic hunts for the samples. Subsequent loads of that instrument will be as fast as ever.
Now, you can use the Project Manager (or Redmatica's EXSManager) to do this relinking for you across multiple instruments or your whole library.
In the PM, do an expanded scan. Then, select your instruments, and choose the "resolve samples" function - Logic will relink instruments with their samples and update the instrument files with the new locations. This can take some time with a big library.

for those of you that know me, i figured i'd drop a note here to say today's my last day at oracle. those of you that do know me probably also know that i'm very grateful to you guys what you've done. for what we've done. back in the day when this project marvel stuff (oracle platform stuff, for you really old skoolers) was new, it took a certain amount of faith to jump on board. we did. we jumped on board believing it'd work, and then we proved it. we've shown the world that this Application Express stuff not only works, but it works well. thanks guys, it's your continuing activity here on this forum and in the global community that have shown so many people how good web app development can be. please know i appreciate that from the bottom of my heart. also, now that i'm leaving the mothership, i'd like to say that the apex team is just incredible. you couldn't hope to work with a cooler or more dynamic group of people. i think you guys get a sense of that when you use the product and interact w/them on this forum, but i just wanted to confirm that now that i'm heading into the afterlife.

I don't know Raj in person, but I read some of his articles on OTN, some of his threads on this forum, and some very kind words, written by Tom Kyte. So, I believe the Apex guys when they are saying he'll be missed.
Usually, when senior staff jumps ship, it's a good reason to start worry. In this case, it seems like Scott Spendolini is building a mini empire around Apex. As I consider these guys to be smart and skillful, their willingness to leave good and secure positions at Oracle, in favor of some new adventure, can only mean one thing they all believe in the good and bright future of Apex, and its ability to provide for them. It seems like a good sign for people like me user who devote a great deal of time learning how to make the best out of this tool.
