When we maintain GL accounts/sub ledgers with open item management, we clear docuemnts when the debit and the credit match. This clearing also creates a clearing document. Clearing documents cannot be reversed using F.08. For reversing clearing we need to first reset the documents as open items and then reverse it.
For example I have an invoice no 1234. This invoice will remain open till i receive a payment. When I receive a payment a new document is created (no. 5678) when i enter the receipt and this document also becomes the clearing document. Now due to some error, when we have to reverse this payment document, we use FBRA. When we use this, the system will first reset the documents 1234 and 5678 as open items and then reverse the document 5678.

Creation of drop down for a field which is created using otr

Hi experts
I have a requirement wherein i have to create a dropdown for a field which is added using otr (online text repository).
When i did an F2 on the field on the UI i found that it had no context node and attribute and the view in the component workbench did not have a configuration also. The coding for that field is done in the htm page of that view using otr.
For this field i need to create a dropdown (the dropdown values will be fixed). I thought it would be better to code in the method do_init_context.
Request you to help me out with the code for this requirement as i do not have any idea with regard to otr.

Hi Preeti,
1.You need to maintain a page attribute(dd_list_type) which is of table type to the htm page of your view.
2.Then in the set_models method of your view controller add the following code:
* Put the data into the view attribute
view->set_attribute(
        name   = 'dd_list_type'
        value = lt_list_type ).
You can add OTR text list to the internal table lt_list_type.
3.Then add the following code to .htm
* ADDITIONAL CODING IN VIEW
<% data:           lr_listl_type type ref to data.
   field-symbols: <list_type>   type table.
   get reference of dd_list_type into lr_list_type.
   assign lr_list_type->* to <list_type>.

How can I get INSTID_B for the documents which are stored using Store Business Document functionality

Dear experts,
I had activated the functionality of Store Business document and successfully stored documents in external server.
My client have a custom function module which is used to send emails.In that FM they used SO_DOCUMENT_READ_API1, SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1 function modules.They passed Instance Ident(SRGBTBREL->INSTID_B)(eg: FOL33000000000004EXT39000000000026) as export parameter to the FM 'SO_DOCUMENT_READ_API1' and get the attachment details and content.
Here my problem is I do not have entries in the table SRGBTBREL for the documents which are stored using the Store Business Document functionality and without INSTID_B I am unable to use the FM 'SO_DOCUMENT_READ_API1' to get the document details and content. Please help me to find INSTID_B for documents which are stored using Store Business Document functionality or please let me know if there is any other way to use FM 'SO_DOCUMENT_READ_API1' for documents which are stored using Store Business Document.

You can use the following method to get the information. For example if you want to get BO documents for a customer
CALL METHOD cl_binary_relation=>read_links
   EXPORTING
     is_object           = ls_lpor
     it_relation_options = lt_relat
   IMPORTING
     et_links            = lt_links.
then fill ls_por-instid with a customer number (KUNNR), ls_por-typeid = 'KNA1' and ls_por-catid = 'BO'.
Table lt_relat should contain a line option for each document type (for example 'I' 'EQ' 'NOTE', 'I' EQ 'ATTA', 'I' EQ 'URL', ...
In table lt_links you will get your information.
Maybe some other methods of class CL_BINARY_RELATION may also solve your issue.

Sorry, but you will not find any such app. The iOS itself is set up such that 3rd parth apps can have almost no interaction with any other app (exceptions being the ability of some to read data from some of the OS included feautures, like Maps reading location information from iOS location services). So there is no way to design an app that would interfere with or restrict how another app works - the iOS simply precludes that.

After updating to iOS 8.1.2 it asks for a passcode, which I never used, such that I now have an $800 paperweight!

I recently updated to the iOS 8.1.2, but after rebooting, the iPad demands a passcode, which was never used on this iPad. I cannot bypass the passcode question. It is now an $800 paperweight. Apple support of course wants money for the obviously poor code in their update! Currently I am trying to reset it to factory settings, losing almost everything I had on it, since it was not properly backed up. However, it seems stuck on enter passcode, even after resetting it!
If anyone else has a solution to this, would love to hear from you. How does Apple get away with this stuff? (I dare them to be honest and post this!)

Hmm, I did receive an email saying that the thread was deleted, but did not explain why for some reason. It sounds like the Level 7 guy caused this. I will call Apple tomorrow to find out who is responsible. And see if I can lodge a complaint against that user. Maybe it was because of what the Level 7 guy was saying.
There was useful information posted in that threat that addressed the issue that I am experiencing. I will try to reiterate from the apple website, it says.
Recovery mode
If you've never synced your device with iTunes, or haven't set up Find My iPhone, you'll need to put your device in recovery mode. Then you'll restore your device as new or from a backup.
This will erase the device and its passcode.
Disconnect all cables from your device.
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button, then "slide to power off" to turn off your device.
Press and hold the Home button and plug the device into your computer. If your device doesn't turn on automatically, turn it on. Don't release the Home button.
Continue holding the Home button until you see the Connect to iTunes screen.
If iTunes doesn't open automatically, open it. iTunes will alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode.
Click OK. Then restore the device.
If your device doesn't go into recovery mode, try steps 1–4 again.
They suggested that I try this over again until it works. It did not work for me the first time.

For Working offline - Which one to use - local database caching or reliable messaging?

I am working on a mobile application with lcds where there is a feature to be implemented. The user can use the application in airplane mode and be able to automatically send requests to server when he comes online. After some research, I found that I have to use a feature in the documentation called ocasionally conencted clients, which uses local database with dataservice.savecache() and offline adapter. I also found another feature called reliable messaging which takes care of sending the pending requests when the user comes online, but not sure if this feature supports offline mode for longer periods. The documentation mentioned that reliable messaging is only good for transient network disconnects, meaning disconenction for shorter time.
Can anybody please confirm which is the right feature that best suits this requirement?

Thank you so much for the resource. One more question, The code in the resource link, has calls to Dataservice.disconnect() and Dataservice.connect() on the buttons. If my user need not bother to click on those buttons for connections and just set his phone to airplane mode and start working, I am using SocketMonitor class to monitor for network connection and then perform the Dataservice.connect(). In that case, I have problems when network is connected, the data service seems connected automatically some times and not connected other times resulting in errors. I am using autoConenct = true. How can I handle this? Do I have to call disconnect when socket is not available and then call conenct when it is available, things like that? Or Is there any other way to implement this without using SocketMonitor class?

Then I began to think, if I'm using the messaging app over WiFi, can the SAME app (which, personally I like much better than the third party apps) be installed on the iPad 2 (which I'm still waiting from back order)?

SMS/MMS is exchanged over the same network as calls.
"Dumb" phones or phones not in the smart category that don't have internet access in any shape, form, or fashion can exchange SMS/MMS.
Since SMS/MMS (a poor man's email with cell phones since it is very limited) is a cash cow for carriers and very profitable, why wouldn't cell phone carriers be interested in including SMS/MMS as an additional option (and of course at an additional expense) with a data plan only for the iPad? They certainly are interested in it but they can't since SMS/MMS is exchanged over the same network as calls.

Creating illustrations for large sizes, which software to use?

My team from work will start a big project, we will build a space for visitors to an event. We will need several illustrations plots for the walls, the drawings has sizes like 6, 7 meters (width), with vectors and photos (jpeg, eps files). I have some experience with Ilustrator, but theres no way to create files larger than 577.95. Before I start, I want to hear your opinion about the best Adobe software to create these large size illustrations.

I second that. Setup your Illustrator File at 25%. Your Photoshop files will be 600ppi @ 25%; so their final ppi will be 150 @ 100%; suitable for large format digital printing. Raster/Document settings ( illustrator ) should be set for high res or custom where any raster effects will retain their appearance when scaled 400%. You might be able to prep your files @ 50%; if so, just adjust resolutions.

Search for puch orgs which are assigned to a vendor

We have extended vendor for some more purchasing organizations. We have updated these changes to EB via BBPUPDVD.
Please let me know how we can check in EB what are all the purchase organizations assigned to a vendoe.
I tried through transaction BP but it is not showing this info. Also tried to check thru bbp_pposa by giving vendor as search term and then selecting the perticular vendor and looking for details.
Kindly advice.

you can quickly check if corresponding vendor views have been added in SE16 --> table BBPM_BUT_FRG0060 --> put your SRM purch org object ID (O 5000000012) in field PURCHASE_ORG and check if entries are existing.
Unfortunalty, you will only get a list of vendor GUIDs...
To check all the purch org assigned to a vendor, you can go to BP --> find & select your supplier --> choose vendor role --> clic on "Purchasing Data" (button after General data and Sales area data).
This is the same result as using BBPMAININT, and looking at vendor tab.

The duplicate entries are removed by using FOR ALL ENTRIES. Or else by using the join, you have teh sort the table by key fields and then delete adjacent duplicates.

When I make a Purchase Requisition allocated to a fixed asset and I also indicate the fixed vendor, the following error appears:
"In the case of a fixed vendor, please enter info record"
We are not maintaining info records. For material and service purchases, if I type the fixed vendor, the info records are generated automatically by the system and we do not care about them. But for fixed assets it does not allow me to save if I enter the fixed vendor. How can I make to be created automatically also for the fixed assets?

sure, SAP creates info records itself when you do a purchase order.
but SAP does not create info records when you create a purchase requisition.
if you want a fixed vendor in a purchase requisition, then you have to have an info record first.
so you either enter a desired vendor for this first time and can use fixed vendor with the second ocurance, or the requisitioner asks purchasing to create the info record manually. or you create the PO without requisition for the first time.

it explains the reason for the error message and a workaround.
