Forbidden - You don't have permission to access /i/doc/start.htm

I installed APEX 3.0.1 on an 11.5.10.2 technology stack (Oracle Applications 11i), but am getting an error when trying to access apex help. The error I am getting is “Forbidden - You don't have permission to access /i/doc/start.htm on this server.” Moving around in help, I get this in other “/i/doc” files. Everything else seems to work fine. My apache configurations for the applications are:
in wdbsvr.app:
[DAD_apex]
connect_string = %s_weboh_twotask%
password = <password>
username = apex_public_user
default_page = apex
document_table = wwv_flow_file_objects$
document_path = docs
document_proc = wwv_flow_file_mgr.process_download
reuse = Yes
enablesso = No
stateful = STATELESS_RESET
nls_lang = AMERICAN_AMERICA.AL32UTF8
custom_auth = Basic
in httpd.conf:
Alias /i/ "/oraapps/prod/prodora/iAS/Apache/images/"
AddType text/xml xbl
AddType text/x-component htc
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

    Hello Everyone
    I've just configured Apache on my Newly upgraded Mountain Lion on Macbook Pro 13.
    Steps i followed to activate apache, php and mysql on my macbook pro is as follows:
    http://coolestguyplanettech.com/downtown/install-and-configure-apache-mysql-php- and-phpmyadmin-osx-108-mountain-lion
    I've configured the Sites folder and tested the http://localhost and find it working.
    I created one file to test php configurations and found that they are also working perfectly.
    Now i m creating a virtualhost with the name "rishtey.local" in  /private/etc/apache2/extra/httpd-vhosts.conf as below:
    <VirtualHost *:80>
        DocumentRoot "/Users/YogeshMunjal/Sites/Matrimonial/"
        ServerName rishtey.local
    </VirtualHost>
    But whenever i try to access the virutal directory as: http://localhost/rishtey.local
    it gives me following error:
    Forbidden
    You don't have permission to access /Rishtey.local/default_1.html on this server.
    No matter if i am accessing php file or html file, error is same.
    directory permissions are as below:
    drwxrwxrwx@ 156 YogeshMunjal  staff  5304 Dec 14 02:51 Matrimonial
    have created httpd.conf file as well in the same directory as:
    <Directory />
            Options FollowSymLinks
            AllowOverride All
            Order allow, deny
            Allow from all
    </Directory>
    Still nothing is working at all. please suggest the possible solution with it.
    Thanks in advance for trying...

    oh yes.. you are right... its accessible in
    http:://rishtey.local/default_1.html
    successfully... thanks for that... first of all
    now issue is: when i access http://rishtey.local/test.php which contains just a tag to display php info only...
    instead of rendering this php file, it just save the file in the download folder.
    what could be the issue with it?

  • Forbidden  - You don't have permission to access

    Hi.
    First of all I want to apologise for creating new thread while older one exists (created by other person).
    Older thread is marked as answered, so it looks like nobody is visiting it.
    Here is the link to that thread: http://forums.adobe.com/message/4052703#4052703
    My problem is that I can not access any Adobe forum.
    I live in Ukraine (east Europe), tried three different ISP providers and still get 403 Forbidden error when accessing adobe forums.
    This lasts for a couple of month now.
    Trashing cookies does not help.
    At the moment, I am writing this post using foreign proxy server.
    Is there any way to fix this issue?
    I really can not understand the reason for blocking whole countries to prevent spammers activity (as mentioned in older thread), instead of just blocking those spammers.

    If they were able to post in the forum they can post a PM.

  • Forbidden; You don't have permission to access this document on this server.

    I am trying to request Daily iTunes U log reports and I am getting the following error: Forbidden  You don't have permission to access this document on this server.
    Does any one know what it means? Is Identity necessary?
    The URL I am using look like:
    http://deimos.apple.com/WebObjects/Core.woa/API/GetDailyReportLogs/example.edu?StartDate=2011-05-01&EndDate=2011-06-01&credentials=Administrator@urn:mace:itunesu.com:sites:example.edu&identity=&signature=38bda70d9aa6975ae8756754034feb6e3c794aca4b21665f6dc85d2ed4 2d4f6b

    Check to make sure that the user in question doesn't have something in their Hosts file on their desktop.  Otherwise I don't see why SharePoint or the load balancer should be sending them to an Apache Unix web server when trying to resolve Office
    Web Apps.  Something is misdirecting the http request for that user to the wrong server.  If its just one user then I would suspect that something is wrong with TCP/IP locally.

  • Sometimes when I try to sign in, I get a Forbidden, you don't have permission to access login on this server

    Sometimes, not all the time, I get a message that says
    Forbidden
    you do not have permission to access login on this server
    It does not happen all the time, but it happened today about 5 times. I finally had to use Safari to get online and get back to Firefox.
    I never know when I shut down if it will happen when I reboot and try to get online again. This morning was particularly distressing, since it used to happen once, and then I would quit and restart Firefox and it worked. Today it did not work. What can I do to fix this? Thank you

    You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
    *Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
    *Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
    *Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
    Clear the cache and cookies only from websites that cause problems.
    "Clear the Cache":
    *Firefox > Preferences > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
    "Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
    *Firefox > Preferences > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

  • 403 forbidden: You don't have permission to access / on this server.

    I have just uploaded new files to the web server and I get the following message.
    Is there a reason for this?
    Apache/2.2.9 (Debian) PHP/5.2.6-1+lenny9 with Suhosin-Patch mod_ssl/2.2.9 OpenSSL/0.9.8g Server at www.cambridgekids.es Port 80

    403 is usually a .htaccess problem. The site has been password protected.
    In your Files panel choose remote view then click at the top right where the three lines are and select show hidden files. it should show a .htaccess file in there somewhere. highlight it and right click. choose Set Permissions and set it to read writr and execute for all. Then delete it. Check your root folder to be sure your index file is in there and it shoudl work.

    I get this message when I try to access ebay. I also get a screen in Japanese, both on the home page and sometimes when I try to bid on an item. Sometimes it works fine. Is this firefox or the website?

    In my case this was cause by the proxy "invisible.disconnect.me" that was installed by the Disconnect Search extention...

    Good day Joe,
    Coincidentally and unfortunate I'm facing the exact same problem with my LMS 5.1 hosted on a W2K3SR2 server. This has not happen before and therefore, it's the first time.
    I'm not sure if I'm supposed to start a new thread instead of hitching another person's but I thought since we're both with the same issues, what's the biggie. Anyway, pls let me know if it's not allowable and I'll start a new one.
    The only thing that has been done prior to the issue coming up is installing JRE into a client laptop that remotes into the LMS in order to utilize the Campus Mgr's Visualisation feature. Nothing else has been done to it.
    Attached are all the logs from apache, tomcat and regdaemon. Pls help me out and let me know what else is needed. Have already tried the causer.exe pw reset and it didnt help.
    Thanks.

  • File Vault: You don't have permission to access /~anybody/ on this server.

    I tried it on several machines without success:
    403 Forbidden
    You don't have permission to access /~anybody/ on this server.
    Apache/1.3.33 Server at localhost.local Port 80
    I can reach the main site on the computer but not the user site if user was setup with File Fault.
    I did control permissions and tried this issue on other machines with clean installed 10.4.x
    :::[Wed Apr 4 13:19:17 2007] [error] [client 192.168.0.10] (13)Permission denied: access to /~anybody/ failed because search permissions are missing on a component of the path:::
    NO SOLUTION. IS THIS A BUG?

    If I log in to a FileVault user's account, change the group of that user's home folder to "www" and allow group "---x" permissions, it is possible, from another account, to access "http://127.0.0.1/~filevaultuser". I'm not in a situation where I can test access from a different machine, and my system is PPC, not Intel, but I don't think that should matter. I'm not sure why it is not working for you.
    Note that for it to work requires that the user is logged in (otherwise, because of how FileVault works, the "~/Sites" folder doesn't exist), and the permissions along the path "/Users/filevaultuser/Sites" have to allow "www" access. If the user is not logged in, access may fail for a couple of reasons. First, because the "Shared" folder doesn't exist - the home folder is encrypted - leading to a 404 error. Second, the permissions of "/Users/filevaultuser" may be "drwx------" by default (access only for the owner), leading to a permissions error.
    It might help to recall that when a FileVault user's home folder is stored in an encrypted disk image "/Users/filevaultuser/filevaultuser.sparseimage", and when they log in, "/Users/filevaultuser" is moved to "/Users/.filevaultuser", and "/Users/.filevaultuser/filevaultuser.sparseimage" is mounted at "/Users/filevaultuser". I.e. the path "/Users/filevaultuser" refers to two different folders depending on whether or not the user is logged in.
    ..."it writes that if I'm looged in as the user which is using File Vault it should work - but it doesn't."...
    I think that statement refers to 10.3 - lower in the article, it says that for Tiger, the "Public" folder won't be visible after logging in. It could also be referring to some changes made to personal file sharing that were made between 10.3 and 10.4, rather than a filevault specific issue.
    Just to reiterate, I don't think enabling web sharing for a user that needs the security of FileVault is really a good idea. It might be better to give that user a second non-FileVault account, where they can place their materials. That way, the homepage would be available even if they are logged out.

  • Trying to reload firefox and getting this message, when moving to the applications folder: "The operation can't be completed because you don't have permission to access some of the items."

    Been having problems with Firefox/internet for several days, and all my updates seemed current. I decided to try to reload and have removed the other icons/download attempts from the app file. When I try to drag the icon into apps, I now get this message:
    The operation can’t be completed because you don’t have permission to access some of the items.

    * Download a new copy of the Firefox program: http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html
    * Trash the current Firefox application to do a clean (re)install.
    * Install the new version that you have downloaded.
    Your profile data is stored elsewhere in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox Profile Folder], so you won't lose your bookmarks and other personal data.

  • Can't move any files... "The operation can't be completed because you don't have permission to access some of the items."

    This is a strange one... I just recently did a complete format/reinstall of Lion because of very poor performance after upgrading.
    So I'm on a totally fresh system, no TimeMachine restore or anything. I've installed all my apps from scratch - no prefrence file backups or anything. Everything is fresh.
    Yesterday I tried to copy a file from one folder to another and I got the error "The operation can’t be completed because you don’t have permission to access some of the items". Checked file permissions... repaired disk permissions... made sure I was logged in as admin (I only have one account)... everything looks good.
    This is now happening when trying to copy any files anywhere on my machine... Very frustrating.
    There's a couple strange side-effects I've noticed:
    - I can move & copy files just fine in terminal... without sudo...
    - The little lock icon in the bottom right of the Get Info window doesn't do anything - I can't unlock it. I can still edit the permissions for the file/folder but I can't select the "apply to enclosed items..." option.
    Does anybody know what the heck is going on?

    jsd2 wrote:
    Try creating a new admin user account, logging into it, and then creating some new items on the Desktop and elsewhere. Does the same thing happen there?
    Ok the strangeness continues!
    I created a new "TestAdmin" account, but it doesn't show up in the Users & Groups prefrences sidebar... The /Users/testadmin folder was created, but the account doesn't show up in the prefrences or login window...
    I tried a reboot to see if the account would show up and it still doesnt.... However after the reboot I am now able to copy files again!
    I'm paranoid that the problem will show up again since I have no idea what fixed it. I tried rebooting previously after repairing permissions which didn't solve the issue so it's not like I haven't rebooted since it started.
    And now I have the issue of not being able to create user accounts.
    A little dissapointed with Lion to be honest... the new features are cool but there are so many little bugs it really feels half-baked.
