Force detection using Application Loader - PROBLEM

I have never had my 8220 flip connected to any computer and it has the JVM 545 error. I have printed out the directions from this web site on how to do the force however after double clicking the application loader I have 2 options either update or add/remove, and either option gives me the same problem, it cannot detect the blackberry attached (because the battery is out), my only option then is cancel, not okay, so what now?
Thanks

Hello Kadscoz,
I would suggest you try to use the Web-Based software loader as outlined in this post. If this doesn't work, try it on another computer if you have access to one. It sounds like the computer isn't detecting the BlackBerry.
cheers,
-tg

@Marian Majewski-Sliwa
We looked into the info.plist file which you had shared but there appears to be no issue with the same.
If possible, could you please PM the packaged IPA file, all 3 ANEs which you have used in your project to help us investigate the issue further?

• Anyone getting this Application Loader problem?

Not sure what's happening here but I am having no joy at all in getting application loader to upload our binary to Apple.
I get any one of the attached errors when trying to upload out 106mb binary.
Anyone had a similar experience.
I also tried creating a new application in itunesconnect and uploading on the web but get an error message then also.
Here's a screen shots:
http://dev1.origincreative.com/applicationloader_error2.jpg
The third error reads:
java.lang.NullPointerException: Unable to create axis service with url https://itunesconnect.apple.com/WebO...seService?wsdl and QName {https://itunesconnect.apple.com/WebObjects/MZLabelService.woa/ws/MZEncodingHouse Service}MZEncodingHouseService: Exception trying to invoke operation: uploadFailed
Guess it looks like a service outage at Apple's end but I have been trying all over the weekend. Interested to see it anyone has had the same issue the past couple of days

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
Odd...well, perhaps the de-install instructions are different? You can check the RIM KB for a clean uninstall here:
http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/microsites/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB02206&slic...
Followed by a clean install here:
http://supportforums.blackberry.com/rim/board/message?board.id=BlackBerryDesktopSoftware&thread.id=3...
Hopefully that'll help.
I have, however, heard of others that have followed the clean uninstall yet had to manually edit their PC registry and manually remove any and all BB/RIM entries...and that got them going. Use that advise at your own risk, of course...

• Ridiculous!!! We need a MAC to use Application Loader to upload our apps to the AppStore??

Apparently, Apple has recently changed their appstore upload procedures and now require developers to use their Application Loader software to upload the binary files to appstore - which is only available on a MAC. is there any way a Windows developer and upload an app using a PC?

The change was over ten months ago. Prior to that the first part of the review process would involve checking for incorrect use of private API calls, and so on. Now the Application Loader does a good amount of verifying of the app, and can tell you what's wrong with it, which has to be better than you waiting a couple of weeks to only find that you had something wrong in the file.
Some people are using VM setups on WIndows to run OSX, just to run Application Uploader. See pages like this one:
http://lifehacker.com/5583650/run-mac-os-x-in-virtualbox-on-windows
Or, check amongst all of your colleagues and family, there is a chance that someone within not too bad commuting distance from you uses a Mac.
Another option would be to spend $700 to get one of these:
http://www.apple.com/macmini/
That may seem like a small fortune, but you could easily spend more than that you to get a decent Android tablet to test on.

• Application loading problem

Okay. I clicked to download the google maps app. It was taking awhile, so I went to go click on some other apps to download while google maps was still being downloaded. I must have had 4-5 apps on que when google maps' download froze! And because that froze, all the apps in que were not able to download because theyre waiting for google maps to finish. So, now they're just sitting there saying "loading" on the bottom of each app. I'm am also very new to the iphone. Any suggestions?

I reset my iPhone twice, and after the second reset, a message popped up saying google maps wasnt available for download. It asked me if I was "done" or to "retry". I pressed done and the google maps download was removed. The other downloads in que resumed.
Thanks a lot!

• Application Loader detect my icon dimensions in error

I've released many apps before using the iTunesConnect but this is my first time that i'm using Application Loader to upload a binary.
When i try to upload the binary using the Application Loader then it gives me the following error:
*iPhone/iPod Touch: Icon.png: icon dimensions (0 x 0) don't meet the size requirements. The icon file must be 57x57 pixels, in .png format*
I've valid icon with png extension and its meta data gives me the proper information along with its size (57x57). Anyone facing the same issue? Thanks!

I had the same problem. Application Loader really threw me for a loop since this problem only reared its ugly head when I was trying to update my app already in The Store. But then I had the same problem with my new app that I was uploading for the first time.
Anyway, problem solved. My solution: change the "icon file" key in the "your app"-info.plist file to "icon files" (plural). Then add a row for your 57x57 and 72x72 icon files. Application Loader accepted my zipped binary just fine after that.

• Ad Mob not working in Application Loader Error

Hi Adobe AIR community,
I've been having this problem for a while now. Basically I have been using AIR for iOS 15.0, Flash CC (2014) and Milkman Games Ad Mob ANE v.4.4.0.
I can test my apps perfectly on both iPhone and iPad devices. The Ad Mob banner and full screen ads work very well while testing in a development environment.
When I try to upload my app to the App Store using Application Loader v3.0 I get an error stating "error ITMS-9000: Invalid Bundle. The bundle my_app.app does not support the minimum OS Version specified in the Info.plist"
Now funny thing is when I remove the ANE the app uploads to the App Store just fine.
I have been forced to stop using ads in my AIR for iOS apps since the release of iOS 8.
I have also contacted Milkman Games support but they tell me that I am the only one with the problem and that support tech can't recreate the problem.
Also I am using OSX 10.10.1 and I believe that xCode has been updated to version 6.1.1 (not sure if updating xCode makes any difference but I have updated it tonight and I have not tried to re-upload the app since)
Does anyone know what I can do? Any help would be very appreciated.
Thank you very much!

Hi Colin,
I have tried this and I still get the same error. I entered it in the xml file like this:
<iPhone>
<requestedDisplayResolution>high</requestedDisplayResolution>
<InfoAdditions><![CDATA[
<key>MinimumOSVersion</key><string>6.0</string>
<key>UIDeviceFamily</key>
<array><string>1</string><string>2</string></array>
]]></InfoAdditions>
</iPhone>

if you mac os is not 10.8.5 and you ard using Application Loader 2.9,you should update your system,I know apple doc say:10.7 is ok,but i update my system to 10.8.5 from 10.8.4, every thing is ok, i dont konw the reason, maybe some error exist at application loader,so you can have a try, good luck.

• IPhoneSDK: Application Loader webDAV error

I'm attempting to submit my application zip using Application Loader.
When I click Send, it says "Verifying iTunes Connect application" quickly, then "Authenticating with the iTunes Store...". After several seconds, it then shows "An error occurred while processing the http request for the webDAV upload."
Is anyone else getting that message? Is the webDAV server too busy? Or maybe some other issue?

I ended up creating a new product entry on iTunes Connect and uploading directly through there. Originally, I had the invalid signature problem on iTunes Connect so I clicked the option saying that I would upload through Application Loader so that I could try uploading through Application Loader. However, once you do that, it does not seem possible to upload the app file through iTunes Connect anymore once you select that option, so that is why I had to create the new entry.
Incidentally, Apple contacted me (because they apparently saw that Application Loader was failing to upload my app) and told me that a small handful of people are having the same problem and they are trying to diagnose it. So for now, the workaround is to just upload through iTunes Connect.

• Uploading App with Application Loader Issue

Hi guys,
I wrote several apps while the restrictions were enforced for "fun" and we have now finished it for release. I am being thwarted by one particular issue, different from anything on the net so far (as far as 9 hours of searching goes).
When I go to use application loader to submit, i choose the .zip, it accepts, unzips validates codesign etc, then comes up with a
"this bundle is invalid. Apple is not current;y accepting appliactions built with this version of the SDK."
I have tried renewing all codesigning certificates, provisioning profiles etc, and nothing helps. Ive even tried changing the info.plist in the actual compiled binary to show that it has been compiled and built with a 4.0, 4.1 sdk. No luck.
This issue stands for all 3 applications I have written.
Any fixes/suggestions/ HELP???
Thanks
Scott

Hi
I have the same problem, we built the first app for our client through WoodWing, now we want to update the app with the Adobe one. During the upload of the new app, created with the Adobe Viewer Builder we get this error code:
This bundle is invalid. The key CFBundleShortVersionString in the Info.plist file must contain a higher version than that of the previously uploaded version.
When we open the Info.plist we can see that the Adobe Viewer Builder creates 1.0.1 for the Bundle Version String short, while the older WoodWing app has 2.1.
Marketing version in Viewer Builder = Bundle Version String Short or ?
That means everybody who is changing from the WoodWing to the Adobe reader needs to go through Adobe?
