Force pagebreak on position of page

Hello,
I like to force a pagebreak depending on the position at the page. example: my table/group has generated some row that fill half of an A4 page --> force pagebreak. So if i can get back my Y-position with xsl i am happy, is there a xdofo function for this?
Any other suggestions are welcome.

on your 8.1.3-7:
open Acrobat
load up one of the proble Documents
go to Page setup and choose desired Printer
set paper to A4 and, Orientation to Portriat, or Landscape
click on Save as Default.
item 5 is optional.
Next:
Open Print ...
Choose Page Scaling and set to none
check Automatically centering and orientation

Auto Force Framed Objects to Next Page

How do I auto force a placed object to the next page? As you can see in the picture, I have two objects almost on top of each other. The bottom object is being forced up because there isn't enough room at the bottom of the page. I know I can force it to the next page using a hard line break, but I want the content to flow on its own as I make changes. I did try playing with the keep options, but to no avail.

Well, I was hoping to look at the same portion of text in both images, but your first image shows VAC 4, House Plans and the Story Editor shows VAC 4 Wise Builders, which I imagine is a different part of the document. Either way, I don't know of a way to move an anchored object to another page without moving the anchor itself. I assume you are using a custom anchor, as opposed to Inline or Above Line, correct?
By looking at your Story Editor image, I can see you separate your paragraphs with double paragraph returns, you have a double-tab in the paragraph after the anchor, and a whole string of paragraph returns, possibly as a way to allow space below your last visible paragraph, or to advance to the next page. This isn't what you are asking about, but that isn't the most efficient typesetting technique. You would be better off separating your paragraphs with the "Space After" paragraph attribute, using only one tab (and setting the tab position so you don't need two), and instead of lots of paragraph returns, you can either use a "Next Frame" character, or set the Keep Options of the following paragraph to begin on a new page/frame/column (which ever you have next).
Personally, I would anchor an object with the text that describes or referrs to the object, so it wouldn't really be a benefit to move the anchored graphic to the next page if the text is going to stay where it is. I would probably move the text and the anchor along with it to the next page (by either replacing the paragraph return that preceeds that paragraph with a "next frame" character, or setting the keep options as described earlier.
On the other hand, maybe I'm not understanding what you have or what you want. If you think that's true, maybe try describing it in a different way.

When duplicating a field, even when the original field is locked, the duplicated fields appear at different positions on pages that are the same size. How do I make them uniform?

I'm trying to put a hidden time stamp field on the bottom of all pages of a thousand page document, yet when I duplicate the field, the reproduced fields appear at different positions on different pages. Is there a way to make them all appear uniformly on each page. I've tried using the Lock function in the Properties menu before duplicating but to no avail. Please help.

I go to Tools>Forms> Edit...Do you want to detect...No. Add New Field>Text Field. I lay out my field at the bottom of the page, adjust the Properties (Hidden but printable, read only, font, alignment), Lock the Properties. Then I right-click and hit Duplicate.

Forced Save process in activate page

Question on forcing the style on main page in publisher

Hey Guys,
We have announcement portlet created using publisher. We want to provide rich text editor for the text field of the announcement in the create article pop up page.
The issue we have is font size and color of the text specified by the user using the rich text editor overwrites the styles that are specified in the presentation templates. The question is how to force the font size and color of the text to the style specified on the presentation template. In other words how to overwrite the font size/color which user specifies using the editor to the font size/color which is specified in the presentation template.

If you do not want users to be able to style the article text at all then you should change that field to be a plain text field instead of rich text. You can change this on the data entry template for the articles themselves.

Force a single landscape orientated page to follow the general portrait orientation of pages

I have moved a single page PAGE X from DOCUMENT 2 into a DOCUMENT 1. The page page moved from DOC 2 is landscape orientated. The pages in DOC 1 are portrait orientated.
How can I rotage PAGE X to a portrait position aligning it to the other pages of DOC 1.

There's a work around:
1- Select all items on the page, then Rotate90 clockwise and make sure the Reference Point on center.
2- With Page Tool select the page and change orientation to Portrait.

Can't drag table to different position on page

I want to create a small table and have it appear on the same line as text I've typed. But the table automatically goes down to the next line. When I attempt to drag it upwards or to any other location, it snaps back to the same place.

The inline table when is anchored in a particular spot.
You can drag it up to another position but you have to move it enough for Pages to understand what you are intending. That usually means dragging it quite away away then dragging it back to where you actually want it.
Helps if you have show invisibles on.

Frustrating Forced upgrade on Numbers and Pages

I LOVE working with Pages and Numbers, but am getting increasingly frustrated with Apple trying to force us to upgrade. I am not ready to upgrade my system to Yosemite, I want to wait a bit to do this after other people have done it and I know what to expect and what works. But now when I try to use with my current Pages and Numbers documents (that I have been using for years), it tells me I need to make a copy to work with the file because there is an upgrade available. In order to use my existing files, I can't just open the app and go to the file, I have to find the file and double click on it for it to open. Then when I make the necessary copy, I have to search for that as well, can't just go to my Pages app in the dock (which is open, obviously, because I am using it to edit my copied document), but appears not to be running.
This doesn't make sense! I have been using Apple for many years and have always been happy with it, but they seem to be getting increasingly controlling about updates. I need to be able to decide when to update, not be forced to by making things difficult to use. I'd be happy to update these apps except that they require a major system change that I am not ready for. No other software forces me to upgrade by not allowing me to use my current documents, I don't think this is fair.

There is nothing in Pages v5.2.2 or v5.5.1 (or their Numbers counter-parts) that will serve you well. The process of upgrading downgrading to Pages v5 (any version) will silently move your App Store purchased Pages ’09 v4.3 and Numbers v2.3 into /Applications/iWork '09. Your iWork ’09 DVD sourced versions will just remain in their original /Applications/iWork '09 folder location.
Continue to use the iWork ’09 applications, as they retain about 100 plus features more than the new products. Remember that the Pages v5+ and Numbers v3+ applications use an entirely incompatible document format that is not backwards compatible with the iWork '09 suite. If you try to open one of these hideous documents in an iWork '09 application, you will get the dialog that you need a newer version of _____ to open it. That is Apple speak for we made a document you cannot open with the retired software your are using. With Pages v5+ and Numbers v3+, any double-click of an iWork '09 document will open it in the newer software — filtering out features that are unsupported — and then autosave will write back over the top of your original — vanquishing your work. Keep backups.
If you remember how Apple treated AppleWorks users, here it comes again with iWork ’09 documents.

Background Position: 2 pages, same code, different outcome...

    I have finished a site that uses the code following CSS:

This code is the same across all pages yet on the index the background does not position itself at the bottom of the screen, it only centers itself, all of the other pages work. Here is the site:

You can click the blue tabs to see what I mean... I only noticed it on a screen with a resolution with a height of more than 800pixals, otherwise you can't tell I don't believe... any Ideas why this is happening?

The background attached to the body tag like that without being absolute positioned will appear at the bottom of the content, not necessarily the page. The home page is too short for that to stick to the bottom. You should try adding the background into the html tag, instead of body and setting the height to 100%. This could solve it.

Position Profile Page Link Location from Organisational Overview

In the organisational overview MSS page we have links from the Position Holder inner iView. If the link to the position is clicked, it loads the position profile - but it uses the position profile oage located in standard content (as per the below link):

How is the destination Page changed so we can connect to standard content? Does it require FPM change, or is there another mechanism for determining it e.g. OBN, and if so, how can this be configured?

From what I read, FPM applciations cover the internal iViews only (i.e. that wiki discusses the internal iViews). What I am looking for is the outbound hook to an iView for another application (I guess this could be anything, but in this case it is the position profile). However, I could understand how this is used.
As we don't have the SSA BP (yet) I would like to confirm this is the steps we would need to take?
1. Is the information passed to the other link via the FPM application configuration like this?
2. If not, how are those links generated?

Forcing Save when changing Tab Pages

Hi,
I have a form with four different tab pages
and a common "Save" button (that performs
the Form commit).
The problem is that I would like to force
the user to commit any changes they have
made in one tab pages before allowing them
to change tabs.
Sort of a PRE-TAB-CHANGE trigger.
Any ideas on how to solve this ?

You may use trigger When-Tab-Page-Changed, asking for commit and if user answers 'NO' return him to previous Tab.

When I opened my Firefox browser this morning, I was "kidnapped' and taken away from my home page and forced to deal with your introductory pages about the "new Firefox." Why did you do this? I already have a mother, so I don't need another one. If it happens again I'll mostly change away from Firefox.

I'd like to make a pagebreak or add a new page in a repetitive area.
Ex: I have a matrix with 200 lines and when linenumber equals 20 I'd like to create a new page and continue with line 21 on the second page. Is it possible?

You want to limit the data in Repetitive Area1? Click the properties of Repetitive Area1, from Format tab, check Duplicate Repetitive Area, then in Lines in Repetitive Area type 20, this will create a new page and continue.
