Force PageFooter Section to Always Print on New Page

I have a Sub Report in the PageFooter Section of my Main Report. How do I force this subreport to always print on a new page?

I think it is not possible to use the option for page footer as new page after or new page before as these options are greyed out. Do you have a seperate data to show in page footer? and do you want to repeat it for all pages? If it is a static data then you can directly place them in page footer. Could you please explain me in brief what exactly the output you are looking for?havendra

Forgot to add that it would be an adjustment layer with some kind of mask on it already. The mask is uncentered when copy and pasted which throws it off.
I guess the same question would go towards doing the same for an object. How to copy and paste it over to a new doc, keeping its position within the document? is this possible?

Cheque printing form always prints an extra page...

I have a custom form the cheque printing program RFFOUS_C. Now, my problem is that it
always prints an extra page even though the MAIN page doesnt have any line items. So instead of
expecting only 1 page it always shows 2 pages. And the worst thing here is that they I cannot customize
the standard program since it is the client's rule.
Any of you have encountered this problem before?

in your Form there is only One Page created?
just check if there exists any other page and in the Standard attributes of the page in "Next Page", the other page is set.
Ideally there should not be any page as the Next Page.

Web-app icons always open a new page?

Is there any way to prevent homescreen webapp shortcut icons from always opening a new page in the browser? It sort of defeats the purpose of keeping cool little webapp shortcuts on the home screen if I'm constantly closing extra browser pages all the time. Might as well just use bookmarks within safari. I use certain apps several times a day, and end up with a bunch of instances of the same app all "open" in safari each time I return (counterintuitive). Is there a setting that I'm missing, or am I better off using bookmarks?

At this point it appears that you can't control it. I would assume that the link the icons calls up has an added target="_blank" or a javascript window.open command. As these are added at the time the icon/link is created, you can't go back and edit them out.

Changing the starting line when printing on new page.

I am using Reports 6i. I have a report with a master/detail ralationship. The columns from the master query prints once only at the beginning of the report followed by numerous detail lines. However, should the detail lines continue printing onto a new page .... I would like to specify a particular position to start the print.eg 5 or perhaps 7 line from the top. Can this be done in reports 6i. Thanx in advance!

Reports allows you to position the objects anywhere you want on the page. The only reason that objects move up the page is because they are anchored to objects above them. When those objects don't print, the objects that come after move up.
You can create an object that prints on all pages but has no line and no fill color. This can then be used to reduce the amount the master frame can shrink by. (Make sure it prints on all pages. You might need to create seperate frames to surround the fields you want to see and the transparent field - then another to surround them both).
If you know the position that you want the details to print then you can position the detail objects in the appropriate location and change the properties against the frame that surrounds he detail section as follows:
"Base Printing On" to "Enclosing Object"
"Print Object On" to "All Pages"
Alternatively, create an explicit anchor between the frame and the top of the report.
Finally, if you want to parameterise the position of the detail records, you need to create field that dynamically re-sizes to push everything below it down by the required amount.
- create a field object that is at the same level as the master objects
- set the "print object on" propert to "All but First Page"
- set the source of the field to something like "desformat".
- then use the srw.set_field_char(0, "<some text with a number of returns>"); in the format trigger
This allows you to push everything below the field down by any desired amount.

How to print on new page as employee changes..

If you are doing this in a report.
Prerequesit:
1. Define LINE-COUNT in REPPORT statmnt. it is must if u want to trigger a new page (press F1 for more help on line-count).
eg: REPORT ztest_pav line-count 35 .
define internal table with EMPLOYEE Number as first field and SORT the table with employee no or pernr before LOOPING the table.
Now, LOOP the table.
LOOP at it_emp.
at end of pernr.
new-page. -
> Triggers a new for every pernr
endat.
write : itab-pernr.
endloop.

Cannot drag-and-drop copy a section in thumbnail view in new Pages?

Just like in PREVIEW of a multi-page PDF, I used to be able to press OPTION+LEFT CLICK then drag that section down to copy it. Now that feature seems to be gone? I hope this is an error!
This is a very helpful feature I hope you bring back or perhaps tell me the new way to do this!? For documents with extensive, complex content (text, graphics, photos) I made lots of sections. This way I could drag and drop copies of things I wanted to re-use.

Apple has removed over 90 features from Pages 5.

Pages '09 should still be in your Applications/iWork folder.
Archive/trash Pages 5 and rate/review it in the App Store, then get back to work.

Print in new page while working with template

Hi all
I have created a form which has a template for printing invoice.
I am trying to print data from a table in one LINE in template. Since the height of LINE is not sufficient to display all records in the table, I want to display the remaining entries on next page. I am a beginner and I have been searching around but could not get proper help.
Please guide me on how to achieve this functionality.

Hello Harsh,
As Abhi mentioned, it will be better if you can use table to print line details if you are not sure how many line it would be.
If you know the number of lines, then you can use with the template also, but I will recommend to use table structure only.
If you are calling the same in the MAIN window and the data flows, then it should be print in the next page and it will follow like this till end. It is the property of the MAIN Window.
Please make sure that you called the same inside the MAIN window.

Always open a new page in a new tab without addon

Dear helpers,
I'd like to ask if there is any way to open a new web adress that I type into the location bar in a new tab (instead of the existing one) when pressing enter. There are addons that do this, I know, but perhaps there is some about:config tweak I didn't hear about yet?

There is a key combo you can use (Windows but should work for Linux).
Simply type the web address you want to go to and press ALT + ENTER to open it in a new tab. I couldn't find anything in about:config that does this....Although I didn't look hard enough as the key combo should be sufficient, I hope.

Aperature always prints off the page

Every time I try to print a photo in Aperture, it prints partly off the page. Doesn't matter how I set up the page. Aperture is the ONLY program that has this problem. Any suggestions?

This issue has been reported in the discussion many times, we have to hope Apple are working on a fix.

PSC 1510 always prints test page on startup; settings menu no help

Hi,
My HP PSC 1510 All-in-one printer always prints a test page when I start it up, wasting ink and paper. I tried two things, neither of which solved the problem:
- Checking the settings, services, and every other menu I could find for any related options. Some other random help forums said there was a "print test page on startup" option somewhere, but I found nothing of that nature.
- Aligning the printer, as instructed by the test page it keeps printing out. Its first alignment failed, but the second alignment seemed to work. However, it still printed a test page the next time I started it up.
Extra information: I'm on Windows XP, and HP Software Update tells me there are no newer updates available. Also, this printer was sitting in the closet for a couple years--I only just recently hooked it up and gave it a new ink cartridge (so I can't say how it behaved before I gave it a new cartridge since it was on the shelf with no ink for a long time).

My tables always start on a new page – why?

When I use a table Pages always creates a new page an starts there with the table. I want the table in the text. I don’t find a reason. It hasen’t always been like this.

As far as I know, it's not the normal behavior.
Look at these two screenshots of the same document.
I gave a green background to the 3rd paragraph so that it would be easy to see its location after the insertion of a large table.
As you may see, the table pushed the text exactly as it's supposed to do.
So I decided to make some complementary tests and I discovered that I was able to force the described behavior.
It just requires that I define line spacing as "Exactly".
Maybe your text is using this setting.

PDFs are always printed 2 pages per sheet

My system was reformatted recently and everything had to be reinstalled.
Acrobat Reader XI (11.0.2) and Acrobat Pro 9 (9.0.0*) are now having problems when printing PDFs: every PDF is always printed at 2 pages per sheet. The resulting 4-point type printouts are not useable.
Word prints 1 page per sheet.
I'm not exactly sure where to even start troubleshooting this. Any suggestions would be welcome.

*Yes, 9.0.0. When I accepted the last automatic update, Acrobat Pro started crashing on startup. I uninstalled and reinstalled, and am very, very wary about accepting an update right now.

Well, that was interesting.
After running the Acrobat Cleaner from the above link, on both Acrobat Pro 9.0 and Reader 11.0.2, it looked like everything was gone.
However, the company uses CA's IT Client Manager, and its DSM Software Delivery Catalog thinks that Acrobat Pro is still installed. So does Add/Remove Programs.
Six system reboots and A long call with the help desk later, my case has been escalated to the CA team and we'll see what happens now.
Reader 11.0.2 is reinstalled, and now? It can't print AT ALL. I get this instead of a printout:

New Page After if PageNumber mod 2 = 0 not working

My report needs to print on both sides of the paper, but one of the subreports that it calls must always start on the front, not the back, side of the page. The subreport is in a subfooter (Group Footer #3e), so I have a 'dummy' subfooter (Group Footer #3d) before it, with a formula stipulating New Page After if PageNumber mod 2 = 0. Since this doesn't seem to work, I also have a formula in Group Footer #3e stipulating New Page Before if PageNumber mod 2 = 0. Still doesn't work - it just merrily starts the subreport on the even-numbered page. If I print PageNumber in Group Footer #3e, (above where the subreport is invoked), it does display the even page number, so the formula should be forcing it to throw the page. This even-page-throwing formula works just fine in other parts of my report and within the subreport itself. Any ideas why it's not working in this particular case?

Not sure I follow your design but I think what I would do is to use New Page Before for both the subreport section and the section preceding the subreport section. I would use New Page Before all the time before the subreport section, and conditionally for the preceding section using the PageNumber mod 2 expression.

How to limit row number per group without change new page in crystal report

Hi All Expert,
Is there any way to limit row number per group without change new page in crystal report 2008. The reason i do that is due to customer using printer EPSON LQ 300 (dot matrix) always will print in landscape if detech my layout in landscape. Because they need the record always print in 1 page (Letter size) for 2 groups and each group must show 5 records. Example:
But, in CR2008, if you set the row per group from group section expert, definitely it will change to new page, but I do not want it change to new page. Any Idea?
In one page (Letter size):

Because if you have one common group for all the 10 records then in one page it will show 10 records under one group.
I mean i think it is not possible but m not completely sure......
